The only advantage I can see to using this app over visiting the paycom website on your mobile browser is the ability to use Touch ID on an iPhone. Otherwise it feels almost identical to the mobile browser experience, which is extremely lacking. Setting availability in your schedule is particularly nightmarish. At least in a browser like safari you can put the phone in landscape and figure out what date you’re looking at. This is actually lost in the app. On top of that it’s still extremely painful to set your availability within a certain window on each day. Please just let me type in the start and end time rather than dragging a green box around a tiny window.

Stinks. Won’t allow my security questions to be entered when I know they are correct because they are all the same. Very upsetting because I can’t enter my pay to get paid
Worst Login Ever 1/5
Login only works when I reset passwords and it's gone on for months several times. Paycom's app usability and website is HORRIBLE. I've never had a login work past the initial reset.

Why can’t Paycom seem to get pay periods correct? Why is it that the hours I work Thursday nights are pushed out to Friday...and every day is like that?!

I love when lazy developers refuse to support their customers’ love of technology by sticking their head in the sand. Some of your customers actually update their devices. Time to keep an eye on the future and begin to be proactive.
Until then, react faster and support the iPhone X!
UPDATE: Your failure to address my actual concerns are laughable. Yes Face ID is supported; Apple made it backwards compatible with Touch ID. Perhaps you should actually use your application on an iPhone X and see the pitiful black bars at the top and bottom. It is sad that you’d try to shift your message and act like your customer doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Your newest version does NOT fully support the iPhone X. Everything is NOT fine with your application!

Amazing, good work
This app is basically just a browser for the website, like it consistently tells me to download the app...even though I’m literally using the app. I mean it’s kind of a shortcut but not much of one really.

I love the app! I’m able to submit expenses as I go! I enrolled in benefits at the last minute via the Paycom mobile app. I was able to pull up my coverage plan in the doctor’s office! I even take learning courses when I wind up with extra time on my hands, which keeps me from having to take more time to do it later when I get back to a computer. Paycom is next level and the great app is just another perk!

Not user-friendly, poor graphic design, visually unappealing and inconvenient to use. Coworkers cannot see each other’s schedules, which makes finding coverage difficult. Tip entry system is confusing and poorly-conceived. PTO accrual page is badly organized.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this app to employers—particularly those in the retail industry.

Clocking in is more difficult than it needs to be 1/5
I have to clock in/out four times a day. Here are the steps:
1. Log in by either holding down my thumb and pray that I don't have lotion on my hands OR enter my username password and social security. I'm all about security, but this is an arduous process.
2. Click on the time management section
3. Clock on the Web Time Clock Pacific section
4. Click on In Day/Out Lunch/In Lunch/ Out Day
By the time you are done that is 4-7 clicks. To lean the process I recommend a quick access button. Or a way to connect it to my desk phone or email so it's automatic.
Favorites in the app and iPhone X 5/5
The mobile app is so, so easy to access and navigate! I use it the most for time entry, submitting expenses, and listening to our company trainings through the learning management section while traveling. I also just enrolled in all of my benefits for 2018 via the app. My husband was amazed at how concise, informational and easy my enrollment was compared to his benefit selection process. The iPhone X can use facial recognition instead of thumb print. OMG! It’s the coolest!!

The app is very dated in the eyes on the younger generation. I would like to see more features added, as changing the layout to be more clean and up to date. Overall the app does what it needs to do. But in my eyes it needs an over haul to compete with other companies like ADP.

The app gets the job done and having fingerprint access is pretty nice but the app is still just a web view in an app. It doesn’t look nice, follow all those design guidelines, or feel super responsive. A native app that’s iPhone x optimized and everything would be amazing.

Great to finally have an app but long standing user experience improvements are needed.
1) When entering hours using “Add Hours” the “Day(s)” date both beginning and ending days fields should default to the current day rather than making the user search for and touch the tiny dates in the calendar popup twice.
2) Employees should be able to add a total billable hours per year/month/custom period to their departments and the app should display a tally of remaining hours somewhere on the time sheet to help employees plan accordingly.
3) I see “Deleting a device will turn off any push notifications going to that device as well as deactivate your fingerprint login.” under employee account settings but no way for an employee to setup their own custom push notifications (e.g., alert to add a daily time entry, notice that a supervisor approved my semi monthly time period, alert that a pay stub or year-end tax document is now available, ...)
4) No option for employees to customize their default screen to reduce the amount of menu navigation selections for frequently accessed tasks (i.e., allow employee to setup their default page to display the time sheet actions page as their home page since that is their most used feature). Other competing timecard apps allow employees to get in and out with around 4 or 5 taps of the screen when needing to add their daily entry. Paycom is averaging around 15 screen taps.
5) Employees need a way to run reports on their own time entries to see how many hours they have accumulated for each department.
6) Allow employees to set their “Time Sheet” default department so they don’t have to change it in the drop down every day when adding hours.

First, this app is very useful for employees. However, as a manager, it would be great if I could manage time off requests, view attendance calendar, etc. The mobile site is very buggy and often crashes safari. Can we get a “client app” too?

Improved editing expenses :| 3/5
Previously this was not allowing me to replace a photo of an expense document when editing expense report. That's been corrected. So, I've raised my rating.
Fingerprint reader very helpful to encourage usage. (nobody likes memorizing pass-codes) :)
To get five stars, it needs:
1. Make sure the entire display fits on a screen. Even on iPhone 6, an expense entry needs to be scrolled a lot. Pay stubs are 50% wider than the screen for no reason.
2. Overall needs to be more responsive when loading expenses. Sometimes it's hard to see if it's accepted or acting on a command.
Very glad to have this instead of web access.

This app is long overdue but I am expecting a few glitches should be worked out. First, it looks and feels just like the browser version. Don't expect more or less than what you're already getting.
Use fingerprint login or don't use it at all. If you choose to forgo the fingerprint login then the browser version will be more convenient for you. I like and use the fingerprint so it's not an issue for me.
A "back" button is missing and needed in a few places in this app. For instance, when I click on and view a check stub it pulls it up just fine but then you are stranded. The only way to continue in the app is to close it and reopen it.
Edit: I now have a functioning back button! The app in general also feels to be moving quicker. I no longer see any reason to give less than 5 stars.

Or learning section is cumbersome and unnecessary. The app is easy to use except for the learning section that is buggy. You complete a task and it says you haven't. Only reason I want to complete my tasks is to remove that little red notification that won't go away.
