CAN not setup cable box 1/5
When trying to setup my cable box, the app goes to setup Pronto device instead. And in a couple of ocasiona, app goes to a white screen and stays there.

I have an iPhone X and with the latest update I only have the ability to use the app as a control and I can’t use it as the TV guide it promotes itself to be, please fix that problem.

The updates are few and far between. Not properly QA’d so one fix breaks other functionality. Been asking for them to look into a serious problem and got NOTHING back but an empty promise that “They are working on it”. The Pronto device drops Bluetooth connectivity on a regular basis and is a PIECE OF CRAP.
This developer should be removed from the Apple store and has been reported to them to review their failed work and pricy scam for extra hardware. EPIC FAIL!!!

I have not been able to make it work, all I get is a blank screen after going to the installation and setup. The app seems to work (most of the times) for 1 device. But it keeps crashing once you try to install a second device (it will crash even if the setting of the second device was unsuccessful). I bought Pronto (a separate hardware) with the idea of replacing my universal control, but without the app I just waste my money. After reading some other reviews, it looks this is a common issue (thing to remember: read reviews first, then buy the product. However, reviews for Pronto -in CNET, NYT, and others- are positive. But I didn’t read the reviews for the software). The app is free, so it doesn’t hurt to try it, just don’t buy Pronto. It doesn’t work!!!

It was working when I added TV remote control capabilities but now it goes white when trying to operate any tv functions

Have downloaded it 3 Times now. Installed tv worked fine. Trying to ad top box. Good luck with that. Then when you close the app it never comes up again. I have iPhone X. I was so excited I am so let down.

The app no longer works and the Peel company is MIA. They no longer respond to emails. If anyone has personal contact info for any of their employees please share. They have an obligation to let us know what happened.

This was a great app when you could select your tv programs from it. Now it no longer tells you what programs/shows are available. It’s just a simple remote. Emailed tech support weeks ago. No response. Wish it could go back to the way it was.
Just a white screen once you start to add a cable or sat box
Seems to make a loop thru the setup and then nothing
Remove and unplug a battery from pronto and you can start over.. just to end up at the white screen if you add anything else but a TV !!

I submitted a ticket to pronto peel support about a month ago and no response.
Normally I like the app, but the guide is not working and that’s half the app.
Remote functions perfectly fine, but the guide accessible through the app is missing? Not sure whether it was removed but I can’t seem to find it even when using the 3D Touch option outside the app - takes me directly to the remote.

Great idea, but this is not a functional application. Maybe it was once, but developers have not been able to fix/maintain, as it freezes consistently. I would love to hear from Peel, but the app hasn’t been updated despite the repeated reporting of failure...

I’ve added one star. I’ve found that as soon as I add my Comcast box to the app, I get the white screen of death on my iPhone 7, so I won’t add my Comcast remote. Everything is fine until then. Current App version 2.7.3. Do not buy until a newer version, that works, is posted. Does this work with a different app? NO. This is far from ready for prime time. No way to back up settings, so when you have problems with your phone, everything is lost. Only 1 device connects at a time so if someone went to bed, you have to sneak in to find their phone and disconnect. Oh wait!! I don’t have their pass-code to turn off their Bluetooth!! No customizing the display button positions or any other. Not all my buttons with my Comcast remote are recognized. It’s only the most prolific remote around. The Nov 30th update also wiped everything out when it installed, so I had to re-program everything. Wonderful. Where can I download the previous update 2.7.1 when everything worked? This is perfect for my setup if they would put the app back to 2.7.1. The beauty of this device is that it runs on batteries and can be placed in front of all my devices without a power cable. FIX THE APP!!! Allow the settings to be backed up and transferred between iPhone/iPads etc!!! Allow more than one connection at a time!!!

Updates have Broken the App 1/5
Same comments as many others. This used to work fine then the app updates came along and suddenly my cable box is missing from my remote screen. It was still there too n the configuration but all I could do was delete it.
I finally deleted the app and started over only to get stuck in the configuration loop with the white screen.
REALLY? Did you not test the updates at all? I’m in software development and would be fired if I released something like this. Roll back or release a new update to correct your last round of fixes! Otherwise this thing is headed to eBay or Goodwill.

I just purchased this product and am experiencing similar issues to the other reviewers. Especially the endless loop when setting up the set top box and then getting the white screen of death. I sent emails to the developers and hopefully they will fix these bugs in the code. If not, then I will return as this is not worth all the problems.
STAY AWAY 1/5
Latest update disables DVR functionality, ability to contact them and more. Have tried to contact them through their website and emailed them a month ago and have yet to hear back. For about a year they never updated their app and then Dec 5, 2017, they update supposedly fixing some issue but in reality broke many issues with it.

My wife heard from Peel via her Facebook page stating that they do still support the Pronto but no word on an update to fix the app.
Six/seven weeks have passed with no resolution. Not looking good for a fix anytime soon. Disappointed.😞
Missing my Pronto(s). I would like to give a few Pronto’s as Christmas gifts but obviously they won’t work until the app is back up.
This is a great device and I love it. I’ll be looking for the update with fixes. Why did I give it five stars? Because when it works, it’s great!

Today's update completely eliminated the visual TV guide. It's gone and there's no way to get to it. The overlapping buttons in the remotes are fixed but my DirecTV remote is gone from the top menu bar (but still appears in my list in the settings?). Ugh.

Do not buy. App is broke and does not work with US set too boxes since the last release. Almost a month without a working app. Which means you’ll have to find another solution for a remote.

I was happy with my Peel remote until the 2.7.3 update which broke my iPhone use. It no longer works with my cable service FIOS. Previous version works great on my iPad which was not updated. Please Apple give us back the ability to revert software levels that you took away in iTunes. Peel please fix this broken release. Or revert to the 2.7.2 version until you figure out how and what is causing the problem.

I am having the same problem as the previous reviewer. I submitted a support ticket on the developer’s website on Dec 7, but to response so far (today is Dec 31). They are either one of the worst companies in terms of support I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Or they have gone out of business. Anyone have any luck with those loser of a company?

I used this app to see what was on TV and change the channel. Now I’m back to having to use the guide on my box.
ARE YOU FIXING THIS?
1) just getting a blank screen
2) uninstalled and then reinstalled the app to get past the blank screen now can’t get it to let me set up my cable box. It goes “Cable Box”—>Find Channels (choose country)—>WiFi or with Pronto Bluetooth Device—>back to set up list
3) back out of this cycle and back to blank screen.

After this app’s latest update on iPhone X, it won’t let you set up another device anymore. It just keeps taking you through the set up but it never finishes adding a second device. I used to have access to everything until I did the latest update that messed everything up, I also uninstalled the app and reinstalled it again, nothing changed, I took the battery out of the device put it back in still the same.
What is this guys? Fix this freaking error, it’s really sad to see you guys having these kind of issues and you are not hurrying updating the app as soon as possible!!!! 😣😣😣

Stuck in config loop 1/5
I had the Same issue that Sonicdeviant described. Configuration degenerated to a loop because no listings for set top boxes are shown after selecting country, and escaping resulted in white screen from which no further action is possible. Trying a different method is only possible by deleting the app and its data, then resetting the Pronto. Latest software version claims to fix white screen issue, but it didn’t fix mine.
I got a reply to a support request that gave me a link to log into the website, but logging in wasn’t successful and I wasn’t ever able to see my question in the support system. I got nothing but the automated support request response, even after ten days. It appears that although the Pronto remote I previously used this software to control is in working order, I can’t get any use out of the software required to control it.

App was updated. Opened app and my cable box (Tivo) was no longer listed. Started looking at settings and get a white screen. Now my Pronto IR is not connected and nothing works.
The App Was Great But Not Compatible With iPhone X 1/5
It worked great on my 6s plus and my 7plus. The aspect ratio on the iPhone X is different than previous iPhones and the app devs didn’t take this into account. I can only use part of the remote but can’t back up into the TV guide since the buttons are off the screen.

Worked OK on old iPhone. Installing on iOS 11 hangs while setting up cable box. Will set up TV but worthless without cable support. Used to work well
