Honest, Detailed Review. 4/5
1. Obviously being able to buy and sell used fashion items everywhere in the US.
2. Their specific guidelines leaves no room for interpretation: No Fakes. No harassing others to buy. You can anonymously report if they don't follow.
3. Easy to navigate site with no bugs.
4. TONS of selection.
5. Buyer pays for shipping. You just print of the prepaid label.
6. Can filter according to price, size, color, etc.
1. Square photo limitation doesn't allow you to take full photos of objects easily.
2. Seller fee is kind of steep. If I sell a 5$ necklace, I only get 2$ which isn't quite worth the post office trip. I think items under 10$ should have different fees.
3. You can't rate a bundle per item, you have to do the entire bundle.
4. We can't search people by size as easily as I would like.
5. You can't easily organize your closet, I believe this will be a GREAT update.
Overall I enjoy the app, just needs a bit of improvements.
Eh. FIX YOUR SHIPPING 3/5
I've been with Poshmark since I was a freshman in high school now I'm a sophomore in college. I have recently joined Mercari and have sold way more with them! It's because they allow you to choose the shipping you want. The shipping with Poshmark is too expensive !! ($7) because of that no one wants to buy a $10 dress bc they are technically paying $17!!!
Love it, couple suggestions 4/5
Use GYQRB when joining to receive a $5 credit, and send one at the same time. In terms of review, It would be great if related items showed up on every listing, not just sold ones. It would be amazing if you can filter someone's closet by all the sizes they have listed as checkboxes, for those closets with like 300 pairs of jeans that I just can't look through otherwise. And also, is the fact that you can't communicate with someone directly, intentional? Why?
A favorite 5/5
By Teen Artist
Use JNVWS for 5 dollar credit, it'll knock down the price of what you purchase and upon use will give 5 bucks in return, a win win! Now on to the review, Posh is by far my favorite app to sell on. The layout is simple and easy to get the hang of, and there aren't unnecessary updates to it. The majority of sellers and buyers are cordial and I've never had an issue on either end. Plus there's quite a bit of hard to find items on this app that make hunting for them a lot easier. The downside is that shipping remains the same no matter how small or light something is which I hope they change soon. Paying six dollars for shipping on something as small and light as a necklace for example, is a bit overkill. They also take a cut from your sales which is understandable since they need to make money too, it just unfortunately means that some people will have to price higher on an accessory, like fishnets or anything along those lines, just to get a bit of money back. I hope in the future they resolve this but as a whole posh is pretty great. I will also say it takes a bit of time to sell something here should you decide to start unless it's a highly sought after item but the parties they throw do help in gaining visibility.
For the most part, AWESOME! 4/5
Posh has been a really great way to buy and sell clothes. I've found so many wonderful things on here that I wouldn't have found anywhere else. As far as selling, it's also been a fun experience and definitely a rush when someone buys your item. Besides some minuscule things with the functionality and ease of using this app, the only real thing I wish was different is the amount of money posh takes from you (a seller) when you sell an item. It can be very frustrating because most buyers on posh are looking for good deals on items, myself included, but with the amount of earnings you make in the end, it's really annoying trying to price things reasonably enough for someone to buy, but not too low where your not making a profit/not even making your money back/barely making anything substantial on items you know are worth more. I'm not talking about selling $5,000 items and only making $5 of course, but they take a nice little percentage and when your prices are low to begin with, you barley make anything. If the amount posh takes from your sales could be a little less, I think that would make everyone so much happier. Buyers and sellers alike. Sellers would list things much more reasonably and I bet there would be far less people advertising selling their items on Mercari or through PayPal, which is super sketchy but there aren't fees eating away at your profits, which is why people do it.
Anyway, love posh, a lot of fun, very addicting, but wish they'd take a smaller cut from their sellers!
The Perfect Platform to Buy & Sell Fashion 5/5
I am a person that loves to shop and keep my wardrobe current. I buy a lot of purses and shoes and tire of them easily. Poshmark is a great place to sell things, I have either used lightly or just didn't want as much as I thought I did when I purchased. I especially love the "vacation" feature for when I have a trip or unexpected out of town travel. I can set the dates I will be away and change them anytime. I don't have to stress while I'm away and I can still monitor my account and interact with my customers. I have used other apps and I have made more money and had more control over how much an item is listed for with Poshmark than any other service. The fee seems high but it is worth it in the end with the ease of use of the app. You can do as little or as much as you wish. There are a few shady people as with ANY app these days but they have a great BLOCK feature and you can always report any people, items or activities that seem improper or illegal. I have found the customer service to be very responsive. The community as a whole does a great job at policing itself! To the people who say there is nothing but fake stuff, they couldn't be more wrong! There are some fakes, you have to look at the photos, ask questions of the sellers, and guess what, don't buy it if you think it's not authentic! They have FREE authentication service for things over $500. Bottom line, the app is a great tool to make extra spending money and get rid of stuff in your closet that are just taking up space!
Terrible notifications 1/5
I've had this app and liked it but deleted it just because of the terrible notifications.
I left notifications on because I expected them to update me on sale items or items I was looking at and instead I get crappy cliche sayings and obnoxious messages 7+ times a day. deleted the app once because of them redownloaded to give it a second chance and now I'm deleting it again.
AMAZING; USER FRIENDLY 5/5
A random person referred me to this app and I am obsessed. I can clean out my closet without the hassle of a consignment shop, then buy clothes! Poshmark couldn't make this app any easier to use for buyers or sellers.
Pretty good app 4/5
Hi Posh team,
While generally a good app, here are a few suggestions for improving the app. 1. Allow an easier way to move tiles around in a closet besides editing them all. 2. Once an item is sold, allow moving it after all available items. 3. Enable the use of the like button without opening the card, similar to the share button. 4. Enable easier sharing from the iPhone version without having to open the card. 5 Allow group or sharing sub-groups to be formed more easily. 6. Enable liking of comments on posts. Thanks!
Worth it? 2/5
They keep 20% of the sale which is a lot. I don't think that's right. eBay takes 10%, so you should match with them or even be lower. I'm only using poshmark because it seems more convenient and people might actually buy my things.
Love the app, but major flaws 1/5
I love this app as it is so easy to buy and sell items - it has so much potential to be a fantastic app. However, there are many major flaws that desperately need to be fixed. First of all, the customer service is terrible. It is near impossible to get ahold of somebody, and if you are lucky enough to get a response, they offer little to no help. Also, in the "Posh rules" it clearly states that replicas are not allowed. There are seriously more replicas than authentic designer items on Posh and some sellers even insist they are authentic when they clearly are not. Why isn't Posh working harder to make sure buyers don't get ripped off? It's also IMPOSSIBLE to even shop on here due to incorrect brand labeling. For example, if I want to search for Lululemon leggings in my size, I have to sort through more leggings that aren't actually Lululemon because sellers are listing them as such when they are not. It's so frustrating I don't even try to shop on here anymore. I also can't stand that as a seller, I have no way of defending myself against an unhappy customer. I had received 5 stars on all my sales, until I got a 3 star with NO explanation. It was even a brand new dress, with nothing wrong with it. She never even said why. Then after a few more 5 stars, I got a 2 star on a brand new with tags bag, because it "WASN'T REALLY HER STYLE." Are you kidding me?! How are these people allowed to damage my reputation without giving me a chance to defend myself? Posh, please fix these problems, please read your reviews and see all the complaints from people who really want to love and use your app!!
Beware of poshmark 1/5
They have no customer service!! They are crooks
Love it! 5/5
Great place to get awesome deals!
Ridiculous shipping fees 2/5
The shipping fee on this app is absolutely ridiculous. Nearly $7 just for shipping and they just keep raising that price. I would understand this price if they made the sellers ship on the same day as you buy so you would actually get 1-3 day shipping but more often than not, sellers need 1-2 (or more) days to ship the item. A lot of times you end up paying $7 for your item to get here in 5 or more days which is absolutely ridiculous. I would buy a lot more things off this app if the shipping wasn't so unnecessarily expensive.
THIS IS A GREAT APP BUT...👍🏾👎🏾 4/5
I love this app. It is very clear and easy to use. I recommend it to anyone who has clothes to get rid of!!!
But there are some issues with the system besides how you don't get an amazing percentage of money from the items you have selled, so I understand that you have to wait about 1-2 months to be a party host (because there is a waiting list) but I have been waiting 8 MONTHS and am pretty sure I meet ALL the criteria. But I still haven't heard back from them... LOL
But I still enjoy the app and it's a great way for teens or for people who are just wanting a little extra money to get it.
By mads mck
I looove poshmark! It's a great way to meet new people & sell clothes, etc! It's so easy to just snap a couple of pictures & upload them with their details! Poshmark is the way to go to sell items :)
Improve: Ship costs are TOO much. It should only be $4 MAX shipping!! $6.49 is just too much for shipping.
Very cool 5/5
By Addicted mary
I like the idea that you can sell stuff at the convenience of your own home. It's simple and lots of fun.
By Tammy Goodson
I Love the app, but it would make it 100xs better if there was a way to share all things in closet at once, especially to Party's. would free up more time to talk with your customers and answer questions and make sales more efficient.
Poor language 1/5
I installed on my phone so I could shop on my time. Sorry to say it has bad language in which I don't want to see. Bye bye
Love to browse for unique and hard to find items 5/5
I love shopping and selling on Poshmark. I can always find cool pieces for much less than in store! It's like thrift shops on your phone. It's easy and safe. you can use the invite code BYEMD to earn $5 towards your first purchase. Thanks and happy shopping.
Terrible Customer Support 1/5
I've used the app for awhile to buy and sell, and I've always been happy with the basic features. But BEWARE if you ever have any situation out of their narrowly defined set of issues. They respond slowly with no indication that there is a real person dealing with your claim, and get snarky if you ask for clarification. An app like this should have prompt support and a way to deal with the unexpected...
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE 😡 3/5
I love PoshMark. I have been buying and selling for years. I have never had any issues until recently. I purchased 2 items and only received 1. I notified the seller who was very helpful in answering questions, but when the package didn't arrive she stopped responding. I then emailed Poshmark customer service....4times in a week and 1/2 with no response. Frustrated I sent them a message on Facebook with no response and go figure....there is NO other option to contact them.
Still today....NO response. I'm out $$ because they lack customer service.
It's nice to buy and sell at your leisure, but I hope you never need help for any reason because there is NO one on the other end.
POSH OBSESSED 5/5
I started as a buyer on the Poshmark app and then one day decided to post about 50 items. Overnight I had 700+ followers and made $200!! In the last two weeks of selling on Poshmark I have made $688 for literally selling things that have sat in my closet for years. I KNOW- CRAZY.
***UPDATE: a few months into my poshing and I love it more and more every day! I've met a lot of amazing girls through this app and have found some amazing deals. I sell items every week and make a decent amount of money! Anyone seen the new show called girl boss about the owner of Nasty Gal? I'm slowly becoming a girl boss through poshmark. THANKS FOR BEING AWESOME POSH!!
I have made so much money from this app plz plz plz get it
💥BEST APP & FAST SHIPPING!💥 5/5
Better than any other site out there! Sign up with code JJBMV to save $5.
Good platform, but at a high price 2/5
Poshmark is awesome for buying and selling clothing, but they take a hefty fee that has become ridiculous. They generally take out $10-$20 for items around $20-$75, and it gets higher after that. Not only does the seller pay a price, but so does the buyer! Typically around $7-$10. This is NOT what the pricing used to be, and is not "the cost to cover shipping." Would be 5 stars if they hadn't risen prices to gouge sellers and buyers.
Only USA 2/5
I really wanted to use this app and was really looking forward to getting new clothes but it's only for people in the USA :( Fix PLEASE!
Love/hate relationship 2/5
I really do like this app and think it is a great idea. I've sold several items so far and that's pretty cool. Although, I do have to say, it's a little upsetting that we basically make nothing off of selling our personal items because of this $7 shipping fee. I will continue to sell what I have already listed but I don't think I'll be listing anything else after that. It has been nice to have a tiny extra chunk of change but if they are gonna take half of the profit from the sale it's just not worth it.
Edit: I have continued to sell on this app but have only grown more irritated. It's upsetting that sellers basically have no protection. There are buyers who OBVIOUSLY lie about products being bad when they aren't and yet no one at Poshmark cares. The seller should be protected just as much as the random buyer is trusted. I've already listed so much stuff I hate to take it off but the fact that ONE random angry person can ruin your ratings just because they feel like it and we have no protection is crazy to me.
Most sellers are buyers too. So why aren't we protected? We are the ones keeping you app going, you know.
High Commission and NO Customer Support 3/5
Ive been a "Posher" for a couple years now. I've got nearly a hundred listing 3,000 followers and made over $1,000. Having said all that, this app has many faults. The first issues any user of the app should be aware of, shipping is high. Doesn't matter how small your item, you pay a flat rate of $6.50. It works in your favor for larger items but nothing under 3 lbs should cost that much. The second, you are at the mercy of the users in buying or selling. Some people are extremely rude and have no online purchasing etiquette. Don't accept or get offended by every low ball offer, just ignore those users. Put value and quality into your closet listings and it will turn a profit for you. You get out what you put in. Good pictures, good descriptions, good communication and good packaging will make you a good Posher. Upon listing your first item don't have a heart attack at the sight of Postmarks commission. It's ridiculous! As a buyer consider this when you send offers! As a seller, remember that high shipping cost when it comes to offers as well. And finally, be very careful because if you have an issue there is vertically NO customer support! Any issues are responded to with an automated email. You don't get the courtesy of having a real person handle any issue or question. Keep your payment and shipping address updated and correct. When buying be inquisitive, communicate with the seller, be sure of your purchase before you press that button. There is a "return" policy but it is a huge pain and it's so slow and it will screw up the sellers listing of that item in their closet. So re listing your returned item will be difficult. Answer buyers questions as throughly and politely as possible. Be honest because how you represent your item will get you either really great or poor ratings. When shipping things, for the love of god, do not ship the wrong thing to the wrong person or wrong address. As a buyer and seller on this app I feel like I've seen it all, so please take note. You can make this a lot of fun or a huge hassle. It's all in how smart you are and how well you maintain your profile.
I used Posh about 4 years ago and enjoyed it. I began using it again this past November and have really enjoyed it. It can be a little time consuming to constantly share your items to feed and to share others' items; however, i understand that is the best way to network and get visibility for your items. I was doing pretty well, until a few weeks ago the app stopped showing my news feed. I can't see likes, shares, or comments. I also get an error on my news page if I log in from a computer to the website. So, networking and reacting to comments or shares has become impossible. I'm giving a low rating because after several weeks I have gotten little feedback from Posh support. It's very frustrating to not be able to sell after I opened up a boutique page, ordered (a relatively small, but still) order of wholesale merchandise and now can't effectively share/network and provide adequate customer service to my posh shoppers.
Cautious - Would NOT Recommend 1/5
I was so disappointed in this app. They offered a $0.99 shipping on your first day of downloading the app - Great. I took advantage of this and bought a pair of Nike shorts for $13.00, after shipping it was $13.99. After that I bought another pair of Nike shorts from another seller for $13, but the shipping jumped to $6.49 (that's the base for ALL shipping after your first purchase) so I ended up paying almost $20. After paying the huge shipping cost of my second order, the first order got cancelled by the seller so I got screwed out of the special $0.99 shipping, I contacted push support and they just added $5.50 of CREDIT to my account. I did not and do not want credit, I want the full amount of money back in my account. If that wasn't bad enough, the second pair of shorts that I bought hasn't shipped my item for 6 days so far. I was able to rationalize the expensive shipping because it's 1-3 days of delivery but what's the point if the seller has 7 days to ship it to you? (After 7 days of no shipment you can get a refund) so at max you are still looking at getting your item TEN days after you buy it when I was expecting to get it in 1-3 days after I purchased it. I also tried to sale my items on this site; I have a quite a review for that as well. They *require you to tell how much the original price was (I don't remember?? and I'm miss leading people if I guesstimate the wrong number) and they take a huge chunk out of your sale. If I try to sale a shirt for $10, I'm only allowed to have $7 of that sale and usually people offer $5-$8 on that item and it just makes it not worth it, and the shipping is so outrageous that is causes problems for both seller and buyer. I've had items that people wanted but they only wanted 1 item from me and they didn't see it worth to pay the $10 AND $6.49 shipping. So unless you have a billion items for sale and people can do the "bundle deal" on items they like good luck as a seller and buyer. In the end all I want is the $5.50 shipping error (not my fault) back into my BANK account (or PayPal) and the $20 from that last order back to my bank account (or PayPal) and I will delete my account and never look back, please.
Just getting started... 1/5
I have downloaded the app and already made an offer on a pair of jeans. Now that I read these reviews-especially from May of this year- they all "SOUND" the same!! They are five stars, excited, cleaning out closets, best app ever claims, make money, buy/sell, --- leads me to an inclination that most of the 5-stars rating are fake reviews to mislead people like you and me into believing unsubstantiated claims in order to boost the business of the app..
Guess I will have to find this one out the "real" way. :)
Easy to use & great service. 5/5
I consign a lot. Poshmark is the easiest way to make the most money consigning I have ever encountered. The way the app is set up to help you make tons of connections is what makes you so much more likely to have consistent sales!
Good... but they take 20% commision! 3/5
That's a little bit too much
I love this app!! 5/5
You NEED to download it ! So many discounted items. As a seller I love the community and the opportunity to connect with so many people. Get $5 when signing up! Use code GXBPI see you there!
Search and indexing need serious work 4/5
Items in my size disappear after filtering by my size. I have never successfully gotten a basic text search to return any results (for example, searching "moto" in Alo Yoga always returns empty despite an abundance of appropriately titled moto legging listings. Please fix this!
pretty good but not great 4/5
I joined and quickly sold a dress for $160 but only earn $128 from it, and I had to pay for the shipping myself in person despite them charging $6.49 for shipping ? So they definitely make profit. I'm not mad but I wish they'd take care of shipping and not charge it for the person if I'm the one paying for it.
Great finds! 5/5

I have been purchasing and selling clothing on Poshmark for over year now and I love it! Tons of options and easy to use! I have only had to contact customer service once and they were quick to respond and very cheerful.
Amazing place to sell and Buy 5/5
I've made so many friends and sells in my short time aboard the best app ever. If you try it you'll be hooked!! So what are you waiting for😜
THE selling app for all! 5/5
Perfect selling app for all ages, genders, sizes. Very user-friendly and welcome to all, selling high-end or other. I've been on Poshmark for over 3 years and I love it! I would reccomend to everyone for a A+ buying and selling experience. @anad868
Please stop letting your users blur their images! Slightly used with blur is slightly used because we as consumers can not see the real damage!
When received and the article purchased is a hot mess it is more than not pleasing.
Just What I Needed All Along!! 5/5
This app is a great place to buy and sell fashion. I love it so much because I'm able to sell stuff that I don't need anymore and also buy fabulous items :)❤️❤️❤️
Quick Cash! 5/5
UZOIP - this is my code! Use this to get a $5 credit added to your shop :)
I was hesitant at first but selling things has never been more fun and easy! I already sold 4 pieces of clothing for a combined $118!! It only took 2-5 days.
Make sure to take great pics with good lighting and be quick to ship!
Ehh okay 2/5
Shipping is ridiculous and unchangeable. Everything is overpriced because of selling fee. There is no monitoring of things being sold so selling rules are eBay level of loose. Basically pointless, vinted is better.
Love this App! 5/5
By Musicologist 😆
The best clothing resale app I've come across so far! I'm pretty much on this everyday, cleaning out my closet & adding to it 😊
Amazing App! 5/5
I love this app! I have sold so many items and purchased so many new also. Easy to sell and buy on. Customer service is great. They've always responded quickly to all my questions. Also, very easy to navigate through. Only downfall is they take 20% of all sales. That seems a tad steep, but I still love the app. I've tried similar apps and none are as awesome/easy as this one!
Simply Amazingly HORRIBLE! 1/5
All of my postings keep deleting themselves 20 minutes after they go up whether it is clothes, handbags, or makeup! 😡😡😡😡 such a waste of time😤
Total crap 1/5
If you have time to waste then this app is for you. You have to constantly like and share things to sell anything. Then you get a bunch of low-ball offers. Some are ridiculous, down to half price!! I sold a few things and it was ok. Then I sell a pair of shoes (brand new) the seller returns because they have "wear" and sends a picture of the one angle I didn't get on my photos so Posh approves it the return! And now I have a returned pair of shoes with some type of weird stain and I can't now sell them at all. Total rip off.
I ❤ Poshmark 5/5
Had this app since 2014 and am still in love with it. I've never been at a loss of money or product using this app. GREAT policies. Wouldn't recommend if youre problem magnet and need customer service. Most problems can be self-solved!
Follow Button Please 5/5
I love this app but life would be so much easier if there was a follow all button my following and followers. Thank you in advance. Please get a Follow All button.
