Top-notch filters, but some problems 4/5
Prisma seems to have finally worked out its extremely buggy backend. Now you can actually enjoy its best filters without constant kernel panics; you just need to be willing to sort through a bunch of garbage filters to find the good ones. I'd recommend starting with:
Now if only they'd do hi-res exporting for free. I'd even pay a buck or two for it (maybe), but a monthly subscription is nuts.
Not worth $ 1/5
This app used to be nice to use, but now it constantly crashes before rendering images. The app has become less stable and they want a monthly or yearly subscription? There are other apps that can do similar effects at a better value.
Gorgeous app, needs better moderating 4/5
I love using Prisma to jazz up my iPhone photos — you can get some really amazing results. It can be really slow to load sometimes. My biggest issue, though, is that all the “recommended” photos are half- or fully naked women. I wish there was some sort of adult filter to screen those out, since I have no choice in what shows up there.
I’ve had no trouble finding people I want to follow who take great landscape, art, and portrait photos.
Lots of fun
Crashes A Lot, Monthly Subscription? No Bueno. 1/5
By Josef Samuel
That's pretty much what became of Prisma summed up.
User unfriendly 1/5
I have no idea how to get started and can’t find a help menu.
Now … what happened to the background clipping tool? 3/5
I've used PRISMA since it was offered. Many wonderful features … filters. A cropping tool was announced and implemented.
With the latest upgrade … gone? I’m using an iPhone SE and iPad Pro 12.9 2G with the latest iOS.
Was considering subscription … now? Nope
3.6 crashes FIXED 5/5
The crashes reported in my earlier review have been rectified, so I’ve changed my review to 5 stars. Great app.
Issues lately 3/5
In the past two weeks app is crashing almost on every edit. This used to happen maybe once in a while but now all the time. Developers need to check recent update, things are worse
Love it. 5/5
I can’t get enough of this app.
Styles are great no more background clipping what happen 3/5

Prisma is slick, fun and easy to use 5/5

I have a hallway in my home that now has multiple framed Prisma images printed high res from Photoshop at 11x17 showing off my grand kids and puppies all in cartoon style. Everyone who see’s the images, loves the images,
Impressive photo edits 4/5
This is a great little application.
I love Prisma! 5/5
Prisma is an amazing app. It offers you several great creative selections to use for the mood or image you’re trying to create. Sometimes, I can’t decide which genre to choose!
App is good, greed is not! 1/5
By Brian moloney
This new sd/hd thing is just a con job. We have already paid for the app we should not have to pay again!
Not worth a monthly or yearly fee 3/5
If all of the features worked properly, I could see a one-time flat fee being warranted, but, as nice as some of the filters now appear to be, this app does NOT warrant a monthly or yearly fee. Some of the original filters like Coloured Sky and Curtain and Roland haven’t worked properly for months now. Also, the comments feature still doesn’t work properly. I can see on my lock screen notifications when people have “commented” on my “post,” but there’s no distinction as to whether that’s an original post (photo) or a reply to a comment made on someone else’s post (photo). Regardless, when I open the app, I am not taken to the person’s comment on my post or reply to my comment on someone else’s post. This DEFINITELY needs to be fixed before I invest any real money in this. Prisma is good. But it’s not recurring monthly fee good or recurring yearly fee good. Flat fee good, yes. Don’t waste your money just yet.

I love this app! It gives me the eye to see different painting techniques. 5 stars, for sure! Thanks!
Great effect but little control. 3/5
The results that come out of this app are pretty amazing. Very efficient and mostly automatic. You have very little control so there’s very little in the way of pro options.
But what is really negative for me is that it will take your photo and shrink it down to a semi useless size (about 5 mp)unless you pay to have the photo processed at full resolution.
Yes, that does kinda sounds like extortion. It’s not because you can choose not to use it, but it sounds like it.
I may have to pay it anyway. I need something like this for my work and most other apps don’t have the variety this one has. Even without control it offers a lot of filters. A lot.
Thankfully Glaze updated to 64 bit so it still runs on iOS 11. Without it, Prizma would be the only real option.
PURE DIGITAL JOY 5/5
I absolutely love this app!!! I look forward to using it every day!!!
What Happened? 1/5
By Stevan K
I used to be able to take pictures and edit them later, now none of the editing tools work. Not sure what happened, but I now like ne’er am able to use this app.

This app is one of my favorite apps. I enjoy playing around with the photos.
This is the most fun I have had with any App!!!!!
Really love it! 5/5
Great technology! Really!
Prism keeps me amused all of its options 5/5
Really amazing choice of filters—always a crazy surprise in each picture
Good app but 4/5
Had cool filters but $1.99 a month is to high for what it offers.
One problem 4/5
I would like the ability to not have to see inappropriate photos
Other than that, so far, this app is great!
Update stinks 1/5
Can’t figure out how to use upload existing photos
Once a great app, now useless 1/5
Requires a monthly subscription for your photos not to be terrible quality, used to be a sick app, would prefer a one time fee...
Nice! Updated 2/5
Updated review: wow, a lot has changed, and not for the better IMO. it’s bloated with pop ups and advertisements. I long for the days when my only issue was being told I had a bad internet connection. Time to move on to something else.
This is really a great photo app. I would give it five stars if it consistently performed. It has a habit of accusing the user of having a bad internet connection, when that isn't the case.

Very Good app
One of my favorite apps! 5/5
I love what I can do with my ordinary pictures- turn them into art .
Must shoot from app? 2/5
Looks like they took away the choice to pull from library. I can deal with a subscription, but not one that limits my creativity. Sadly, this looks like it’s going the way of VSCO on mobile.
By Mr. GK
Ultimate lame. Fire who ever decided to do this stupid subscription thing. That guy is clearly an idiot. You can tell him I said it. DELETED.
Not compatible with my iPhone X 1/5
I opened this app on my new iPhone X and everything was blank. So, I deleted the app, added it back, and still blank. Too bad—it WAS a great app.
Amazing app 👍
Good Results but a Painful Payment Model 1/5
Amazing changes to your images are breathtaking. Two issues: I don’t mind paying for additional filters but the subscription model is too greedy. Crippling the resolution is another problem.
By Go tigers 2012
I don’t use it enough to pay monthly for it. It was really good though.
Great app 5/5
Great app, terrible business model 1/5
I recently downloaded this app after not having it on my phone for quite some time and initially couldn't remember why I had ever deleted it. Then it hit me right at the start of the app. This app charges MONTHLY to use?! That's a truly disgusting business model and I will be promptly deleting this app once again!
So the very first try of this app I clicked on one of the filters and my phone immediately shut off. That’s pretty sketchy. The filters all seem to be pretty much the same or old fashion. I did the same thing with a basic app in 2010. I never Wright reviews, but when it’s the first attempt and that happens. It’s a no go for me!
Really just great. 1/5
I love how Prisma crashes constantly, there are not enough apps that do this. If you don’t have to relaunch your app several times before being able to process a photo then you just aren’t working hard enough. My favorite feature is when Prisma hard crashes the entire system, it gives me a minute to meditate on life while my phone restarts. I just hope I will at some point be able to actually process a photo with Prisma! Fingers crossed.

Amazing app. Played with my first photo, & the results were awesome!

Can’t even log in 1/5
By Photographic inspiration
1. Download app
2. Log in with Facebook or text or email
3. Land on screen asking me to choose username (not sure why since I already had an account on my android device)
4. Enter a username
5. Hit Done
Expected result: I will be logged in or shown an alert that my username is already taken
Actual Result: nothing happens. My keyboard remains up covering the action button and I cannot see any message that might be visible at the bottom of the screen.
Pretty huge bug. Loved it on android.
You know when... 1/5
...you voluntarily pay for an app and help a company become successful, so that when they gain that success they can then charge you again for it, but monthly this time? Yeah. BS.
Close to perfect app 4/5
By Podcast pundit
The watermark can be turned off in the options which hopefully fixes some of the complaints I read. Great variety of filters.
One of my favorite art apps 5/5
This app is one of my favorite art apps. I use it every single day and have generated thousands of amazing images from it. My policy is to never purchase subscription apps but I signed up for the $1.99/month subscription anyway. The only problem I have with this app is that I am spending way too much time in it every day.
