I love app. I’ve used desktop version of quick books for a large fire district for 5 years. I started my own business a year ago, and wish I had known about this app when I started. I’ve used it for one qtr. and it’s one of the best things I’ve done for my business and it’s hella easy too.

Not getting how you’re forced to get a subscription just to see your data. My cousin has this and doesn’t pay a subscription. Didn’t think after the trial was over it locked you completely out
Convenient and Easy 5/5
I like the convenience of the app on my iPhone. I love the mileage tracker which makes business miles super easy to record. I also like how easy it is to categorize transactions on the go. I can work through my transactions while I’m waiting at my dr’s office or for my kids’ appointments or whatever! Great tool for self-employed.

All was fine until the most recent update. It’s duplicating my miles tracked. It’s not staying connected and refreshing my accounts. I have to manually reconnect my accounts every time I want to refresh my expenses. Please fix!!!
Such a Headache 1/5
Constant connection issues with my bank. A years worth of transactions being duplicated. It’s always something and dealing with their customer service makes me want to scream. It’s never a quick fix dealing with them. I honestly don’t think I could recommend to anyone.
I’m using this app now for 2 years constantly issues with synchronizing your bank information it kicks out your banking data had the same issue already last year happen now this year again after deleting wrong information all information got deleted there is no phone support I have contacted Support over Chat 10 days ago promise to contact me back didn’t happen if I cannot get my data back I will cancel subscription because I cannot deal with faulty software
Won’t connect to bank anymore 3/5
I used this app almost all year to track expenses, income, and milage. It was great until about a month or two ago when it decided to stop connecting with my bank accounts (Bank of America). It’s really frustrating, to the point where I can’t rely on the information being up to date and accurate... right before tax season. Looks like I’ll be looking into a different app if QB can’t fix this soon.

How things have changed. Like many others, I was thrilled with this app for some time. Multiple bank/card accounts have been unable to sync for nearly a month now. I get similar responses from support that others have gotten.
Used to recommend this to other small business owners. I'm hopeful none of them took my advice.
Horrible Customer Service / Product 1/5

For all of 2017 I have diligently tracked my miles and expenses. 3 or 4 weeks ago my Chase account stopped syncing to the app. I contacted Customer Support to which I was given instructions where I lost EVERYTHING. For two weeks I’ve been told to “be patient” with no resolve, no time table, etc. I have to meet with my accountant within days and I have NOTHING! Demanded I receive a full refund for the year and I’m told “be patient” again... again with no time table. Worst customer service! Worst product! Too expensive! Don’t waste your time. Shame on you Intuit!!!!!!!!!!

Used to love this app because it seamlessly integrated my bank info. It haven’t synced with my bank account for weeks and I can’t get customer service to respond to my pleas for help. Not good.

For the basic purpose of easily organizing business deductions and income this app works but gave only 3 stars because it is slow to input information particularly deposits like income into the system and constantly having bank connection issues. For mileage tracking it’s great! For bank info it’s slow and not so great.

I enjoy using the Quick Books Self Employed app because it saves time and tracks mileage and expenses automatically. Just a few minutes each day keeps you on top of your business expenses and prepared for tax time!!!
I highly recommend using this app whether you are a first time self employed business owner or a veteran you’ll find this the best way to stay on top of your business!

Worst customer support ever!!!!!
If you have an issue your only option is to online chat with an unhelpful support person as they will never pick up the phone via the contact number (I’ve waited up to 45 minutes!). My bank account had a simple change in login information and that can’t even be updated, so my accounts haven’t sync’d for weeks.
Don’t use this app if you want to store your data and ever have access to it again - once you input a receipt the only way to get it back is to download them one by one, not associated with the transaction. There are no reports to generate that give you a Transaction with the associated receipt.
Functionality has also reduced since I committed to using Quickbooks - no longer can you generate invoices for repayment by selecting transactions/expenses and adding them to the invoice - instead you have to recreate each expense inside the invoice by hand and make your own receipt PDF to attach.
A scam that charges $$ for non-working svc 1/5
There is literally no company which I do business with the record of QBSE — charging for a service that breaks repeatedly and, in the current case, completely, without ANY fixes or information from support. If you have a mission-critical business, look elsewhere, as QBSE is not reliable enough for anyone serious, and their laughable support will provide you with nothing but hollow words.

Continue to have issues with no support. Auto GPS feature is not working. Never gets start and end destination correct and many times never tracks trips at all. Very inconsistent and not stable. Unreliable for tracking my business mileage

DON’T BUY THIS APP.
This used to be a great app. Then, my banks were no longer able to connect (BofA and Chase), and the service experience has been a nightmare. You’d think that a company of Intuit’s size would be able to figure it out — not the case! They’ve clearly outsourced service... The number of grammatical errors alone in the “customer service” responses that I received was mind boggling.
When email responses have arrived, the people are rude and customer-blaming. Then, they simply cut and paste boilerplate promises of “working very hard to get this issue resolved”. This is after sitting on hold for 20-30 minutes on THREE separate occasions before eventually hanging up. What an incredible waste of time.
Now, with the year winding down and tax planning needing done, I’m forced to go back through an entire year of transactions in an attempt to recover my data.
There has been no mention of a refund or anything to compensate me (the customer) for this total blunder. I’m sure I’ll receive a similar response to this review: “Your money is very important to us. Please send more feedback (and money), and we promise to continue doing nothing to resolve your issue”.
Thanks, Intuit! I was your best salesperson for a while there.
Useless and Lack I’d Support 4/5
Update: I had went a full day without any tracking and multiple days without bank sync after the 11.1.2 update. I had to turn off all of the settings that track motion and location, enable them again and reboot the phone. That still didn’t fix it immediately but then it started to all work again. I am updating the stars on the rating due to an app developer comment which was better than I got from support.
After the iOS 11.1.2 update on the iPhone 7 Plus the auto mileage tracking stopped. I verified that all the GPS and Location Services are enabled all the time for the app.
Continuous bank connection issues 1/5
Until Intuit can manage to fix the basic feature of the app, syncing and categorizing transactions from a bank account, they’ll continue to receive poor marks. Please fix bank syncing issues.

Extremely Easy To Use 5/5
This app makes it incredibly easy to stay on top of business income and expenses. It’s very user-friendly, and logging transactions and business miles takes literally seconds. I highly recommend it.
Can no longer attach receipts 1/5
This app was once excellent, but is now virtually useless. That is because the programmers disabled the feature by which you can attach a receipt by photographing it and uploading it. The feature worked perfectly and was wonderful. Then they disabled it for an upgrade several months ago. They have no timetable for getting it back, and without that feature this app is useless to anyone who has to quickly upload photographs of receipts for expense reimbursement and other purposes. It seems as though there is no great urgency buy QuickBooks to fix this, and I have noticed that many reviewers are switching to other competitors.

Issues with latest update 2/5
I really do love using the QuickBooks app. And it has worked perfectly until the latest update. My bank accounts are no longer linked. I reconnected to my bank and it imported everything again so now I have months and months worth of duplicates. When I click on PayPal it just says error. Cannot even reconnect to it. I assume this will be worked out. I just hope it’s really soon.
App was recently updated but there still is no change with my accounts. Very irritating for a service I am paying for.
Remarkably easy app for complicated work! 5/5
For years, I saved receipts and pounded the calculator when tax season arrived. When Intuit offered this, I was reluctant at first. My system worked well, albeit time-consuming. After several months on it, I love it! I only wish I had switched sooner. The "Create Rule" function is awesome because it automatically files recurring expenses/income into the appropriate tax categorizes. I haven't used the mileage tracker yet (mainly because I don't like the location services device tracking me), but again I was hesitant to use the app at first, but now I'm a convert. I'll use the mileage tracker on my business trip next month. If you have a small business, try the app out. I think you'll like it.

A love/hate relationship with this app 2/5
It does a lot of things well. Pulling in my expenses from my accounts, tracking my miles, auto categorize some routine expenses, etc. The things it does badly really make using the app difficult. Sometimes syncing with my accounts takes longer than it should. Sometimes it doesn’t sync at all. I had to re-sync my accounts recently and it duplicated everything! So I had to go back over a years worth of expenses and exclude all of the duplicates. Waste of time! I’ve used this for 3 years and each year there has been some problem when it comes to taxes. I’m on the fence on whether to keep using it or not.
Update: after reconnecting my bank accounts and dealing with duplicates now it won’t update on its own. I’m afraid to reconnect fearing I will triple everything.
Update 2: It appears they fixed the duplication issue. However, instead of removing the ones I marked as “exclude” they remove the others. So that means I have to back and unmark the ones I excluded. Great.

Compared to how the app used to work, it's almost unusable. Bank accounts take forever to connect and load up new transactions, and that's when they even do it. Often the accounts just don't update even though they say they've been refreshed. Very frustrating.

I got this app and subscription software because I speak and travel frequently for work. So I need to send invoices that include both a speaking fee and travel expenses to be reimbursed. It used to have this wonderful function where it tracked all your expenses and then you could add them to an invoice with the receipt. That has completely disappeared and they failed to inform anyone that this feature was going away and there is no timeline on when it will be back. I am very very disappointed. Also, they won’t speak to you on the phone about this or provide any customer service.
