Reddit: Trending News & Tips app reviews

  • Missing one simple feature 4/5

    By iconred
I love Reddit. Usually, I'm browsing on my MacBook, but it recently died on me. So, I'm stuck using an iPad since all things with an Apple logo are regularly ten times more expensive than they should be, but I digress. Why doesn't the app have an option to turn off NSFW content? That's an easy fix to a simple issue — something that should've been available when the app was first released. If that were included, I'd give this app a perfect 5-star rating.
  • Nice native app for Reddit 5/5

    By bhartsb
This app is well done clean and pretty much bug free. It does a good job putting Reddit on the iPhone.
  • Yet another way to waste time 1/5

    By Music Lover 555
If you are the sort of under achiever that gets a thrill from trivia, gossip, banality, and, of course, pet photos then this app is for you. For the rest of us, any value Reddit may have had at its launch has long since been diluted with narcissistic drivel. A fate shared, alas, by most "free" social networking sites 😕.

  • App crashes on iOS 11 2/5

    By Blake Schapker
After about 10 seconds of opening the app, then scrolling around the screen goes black then crashes
  • Reddit 4/5

    By Randomclone
I like Reddit's concept overall but I wish you didn't have to earn Karma to post more/earn karma faster because I have a lot to say and this gets real annoying real fast
  • I just stumbled upon this, GOLD. 5/5

  • Hundreds of hours used! 5/5

    By Chevsapher
Reddit is a discussion site for everything. There are boards for everything imaginable, from local news to anti-humor to vintage photos to addiction recovery. It's surprisingly easy to spend hours and hours scrolling through your feed. Reddit is available through a web browser too, but I prefer the app because the interface is cleaner and photos can be viewed without switching pages.
  • Love the app 5/5

    By Fulfyodtkaitsyxo
This app was my first time using Reddit and I absolutely love it
  • Great 5/5

    By krookkk
Started looking at it and before I knew it I just wasted the entire day looking at dank memes
  • Missing functionalities, crashes a lot 2/5

    By 4688754335688
Currently, I can have the app open for about 3 seconds before it crashes. More than a little frustrating. This is a new development that just started yesterday. Other than that, disappointing behaviors include the inability to properly load gfycat links and the inability to search for users. I do like that I can easily access my multireddits and that you can easily swipe to exit a post.
  • Friendly UI 5/5

    By Sadprince16
Love it. A lot cleaner than desktop browser version
  • Just doing this to get it out of the way 5/5

  • Most entertaining app! 5/5

    By I scored 1
This app has all the features of reddit website and puts it into a even nicer view! Reddit is a great platform for sharing stories pictures and basically anything I get lost trying to read everything there's so much good stuff. Plus the stickers are amazing.
  • Infinite entertainment 5/5

    By Bernard Edwards
I can get lost in here for hours without knowing it.
  • Where did landscape mode go? 2/5

    By Pivs
I use the mobile web version of Reddit 90% of the time because I do a lot of reading there and when I do a lot of reading I prefer landscape mode. Alien Blue had it, and with the transition to an official Reddit app it was taken away. This is my primary gripe, but it’s pretty big for me.

  • Garbage App 1/5

    By Mark Goldfinger
    Garbage platform, glitchy convoluted app.
  • I miss Alien Blue 3/5

    By IBangedYoMamaFoKarma
It's a good app, not too many complaints aside from the still obviously broken search function. I don't like how Reddit no longer supports Alien Blue, it was a really good app and I get they wanted to show ads and while that's pretty dang annoying I understand it. You didn't have to abandon Alien Blue /u/Spez, or whoever is in charge now. That was a shill move bro.
  • No options to view rising or gilded 1/5

    By ButterBlaster5K

  • Getting better, but YouTube embed crashes 2/5

    By ryanborstelmann
YouTube embedded video plays crash about 90% of their attempts, which is my only real gripe with this app. The app has come a long way, but this is a fundamental issue that should be addressed.
  • Good 5/5

    By Wish Upon A Tish
    This is a good app.

    By Maxlax37
    It's real good
  • Love the app, the people not so much 4/5

    By Jumpboy2413692002
Im pretty simple when it comes to apps, if it works I tend to like. I'm from the age where cell phones were a luxury and we had no apps so I'm amazed daily by all of this.
  • Better than Alien Blue 4/5

    By Fate Unusual
I like this app much better than Alien Blue. Especially on a tablet because AB just sucked on that. This app is much better, the user flows just make so much more sense. It's got all I need in a Reddit app.
  • New update crashes constantly 1/5

    By indieLovr
Last version worked fine. Now it constantly crashes on an iPhone 7+.
  • Video player is broken 1/5

    By Awwwwcrap
Whenever I watch a video I have to pause it and then play it or there won't be any sound, if a gif shows up on the front page it stops my music, and I was forced to download this because Alien Blue died. Alien Blue was so much better than this app.
  • Ugly format. Good user accessibility 4/5

    By 123Mike
I liked the looked of Alien Blue and Narwhal better. Everything blends in with each other. There should be more distinct borders between each title/comment.
