Terrible app 1/5
This app is absolutely terrible, you can’t just search a restaurant and a date because you don’t know how far ahead of time they take reservations. OpenTable tells you that they aren’t taking reservations yet. Just a poor layout and not thoroughly thought through.
Terrible app 1/5
This app makes you look at restaurants you don’t even want. And when you use it to make a reservation it keeps on blowing out when you hit confirm. Terrible application. It’s doing it’s restaurant customers an absolute disservice.
Stick with open table! 2/5
An incomplete App! Not in the same league as Open Table. Not recommended. Does not let you select exact times, map function is slow, no way to display menu. Disappointing at best.
Barrier to restaurant trial 2/5
By carolyn cs
Hard to navigate, hard to search, waiting list notifications don’t work. The only reason I use it it because some great restaurants use it exclusively. Resy’s issues have prevented me from going to other restaurants I want to try. I hope the restaurants will switch to another option soon.
The worst 1/5
Very difficult to navigate
Force restaurant reviews 1/5
The new app forces you to review all the restaurants you have been to through the app before you can move on. If you "skip" the review, it comes up next time. The team at resy told me, "At this time, restaurant rating is not optional"--so my time isn't worth much to them and they would rather have me angrily ding their customers for their product decisions? No thanks.
I choose not to review every restaurant I go to every time for a variety of reasons. If I go to the same restaurant ten times, do I need to review it ten times? What if I don't feel strongly? What if I just don't remember how it was when I open the app a week later? The product already suffered from a lack of granularity in terms of searching and filtering, but now it is just broken and I will just not use it in the meantime.
The BEST! 5/5
I love this app and this company!!! Every hot restaurant is on it and I get wayyyy better hospitality at Resy restaurants than OpenTable restaurants - I get text reminders and everyones always is so kind about my (many) allergies because i put it in my Resy account. Notify is also so amazing! I got a seat at lilia and and union square cafe from it! Can't wait to use it when I go to charleston and Nashville later this year! If you like great food and cool atmospheres, you so need this app.
Waste of time and terrible UI flow 1/5
Would give zero stars if it was an option. Like the other reviewers stated, poor knockoff of Open Table. Good selection of higher end restaurants but I feel they are doing a disservice to those customers / brands especially when you attempt to complete a reservation for a time slot and they them tell you it’s no longer available. Back to Open Table I go or to venues I can call for a last minute reservation. I’ll use yelp to find other options if the one I want isn’t available.
Worst customer experience 1/5
By MBA wi
Won’t let me sign in and won’t send me a reset password email. Also won’t let me make a new account. I literally cannot use this app to the one thing it is supposed to do— book a table for dinner.
The WORST!!!! 1/5
This app is the worst, I try to get a reservation at a particular restaurant and it tells me it’s all booked up and turn on NOTIFY, I do that I keep getting emails telling me that the table might be available and click through, I do that and it tells me there’s no table available when I’ve asked for it but there is one available on another day, I’ll click on that and then it’ll tell me there are no tables available so it is a complete waste of time!
This is happened several times already! Also you can only book out one week right now, that’s ridiculous!
Bad execution 2/5
The user interface is unfriendly. Hard to navigate, bulky, overall not the top-notch app when you want to book a $500 restaurant. Needs a complete overhaul.
Poor performance 1/5
By Dissatisfied D
App needs some serious updates to basic features such as the ability to change info on your profile. At this point the changes made aren’t saved. This is also difficult to navigate. Only reason people download this app is because they may have a few restaurants OpenTable may not. Advice to Resy: investing in your technology is just as important as the vendor relationships you build.
Ripoff company 1/5
By Where the toilets at
Resy recently acquired another restaurant app, Servy, that gave customers discounts on restaurants in exchange for feedback. Resy alerted users after the transition that they would not be paid for the money they earned through Servy. There was no notice given ahead of time so that customers could request to cash out what they had earned up to that point. Customer service responded to upset and confused emails with a canned response saying they stand by not reimbursing their customers. Very unethical and a huge scam.
Doesn’t work for some email addresses 1/5
Poorly designed account system that doesn’t allow email addresses other than .com and other big TLDs.
Option for booking for someone else 3/5
I’m an Executive Assistant and often book reservations for other people. I’d like to see an option similar to OpenTable’s “My Diners”, where I can select who the reservation is for. I don’t always want the reservation under my name if I won’t be attendance!
Difficult Navigation 1/5
I downloaded this app, then deleted it because it was frustrating and useless. Then I needed to travel to Los Angeles and was forced to reload it. LA apparently likes this app.
Difficult to navigate, annoying to use and I can't remember having sworn so much trying to make a reservation! Waiting for the time when I can delete it again.
I like it more than OpenTable 5/5

Easy to use and really nice to look at 😍Especially recommend if you're feeling adventurous or want to make a good first impression
The best new reservation app 5/5
By Becky Martinez
Tons of great restaurants on here and we even used it when we visit different cities in the USA. Easy to use and great features! Keep it up!
Could use a few additional features... 3/5
I've been an OpenTable user forever, and was excited to download Resy, which has some more upscale options. I like the app, but it would be great to have an in-app option to view the menu at a spot you're considering, and to have an option to filter results by neighborhood and price range.

Has all the hot places 5/5
By B. Charles
I thought it was just in NY, but then I went to LA and saw the same thing: all the new hot spots are on Resy.
Great restaurants! 5/5
Resy is my go-to restaurant app. So many great restaurants, so little time.
Horrible design, hard to navigate, worse than Open Table. Why are restaurants migrating to THIS?
WORST RESERVATION APP EVER 1/5
It really bothers me that all the new and trendy places are switching to this reservation system.. Not because it's good, not because it's easy to use, not because it's user friendly but just to follow the trend of "we are cool, we use Resy". It is FRUSTRATING to make a reservation, find a place or time slot. Save yourself time and just call the place instead. This thing is USELES.

This app is awful. I avoid restaurants that use it.
Worst app of all time 1/5
Don't waste your time- either use the phone or OpenTable this app is pathetic. I don't think they user tested it at all. The UI is so not intuitive, god forbid you make a mistake - you can't even undo and change your reservation.
Pretty sure this app is a scam to get people to cancel their res and charge them $15, maybe thats why is called resy, it has nothing to do dinner at all.
Was nearly impossible to login and the customer support was also horrendous.
Bad Design & Terribly Frustrating User Experience 1/5
A restaurant which used to use Open Table now claims to accept reservations using this site. The Resy website required that I enter my number to proceed. The link texted me a link forcing me to download this app and required me to create an account using my email. Once installed, the app didn't allow me to change the restaurant location, time (from dinner to lunch), or date (from this month to next month). It was so aggravating and disappointing I not only instantly deleted the app (though they now still have my email & number), it makes me want to actively avoid dining at any restaurant using this app, which reminds me how common poorly tested bad design can be.
Is this a joke? 1/5
Forcing me to download an app and sign up for an account just to make a reservation is frustrating to the point of being laughable. Web reservations are supposed to make the process easier- not harder. Sorry Resy, I'm going back to Open Table.
The app has technical issues with basic things like signing in to your account. It's not ready for the public, and shouldn't be in the App Store.
BUG! Just keeps saying update go to app store 1/5
Won't work DOA
Horrible. Give me back OpenTable. 1/5
Eater cofounder is happy with this app??? Cmon. It's terrible. You've taken some of the best restaurants and put their booking into the worst app. Your connections in the business have allowed you to make booking a nightmare for us restaurant lovers. Either improve this app or let OpenTable take over these accounts. Please 🤦🏼♀️
Hire a UI designer! 1/5
Very confusing location of buttons and non-intuitive interaction. Change the location after entering party size and date and have to re-enter that information. I'm calling the restaurant - much easier than wading through this.
Slow unintuitive interface 1/5
It would be easier to simply call for resys than to use this slow, impossible to navigate app.
Piece of junk 1/5

Can't book a reservation more than about 2 weeks out. In the latest version you can't even search for a restaurant by name!! Just by date.
Can't change dates 1/5
By Choochie Woo
Trying to book a reservation a month out in my area, and initially, I can pick a date. But when I pick a destination city, it narrows to about a week out and automatically changes to SF (major city 50+ miles north of me). I've tried multiple times. I want to use this app but I can't!
Horrible 1st time experience 1/5
By Kuma San 999
Same issues as L Joy reported on Nay 12th
No confirmation email
Will not allow me to login using my email
Cannot reset my email
Will check if maybe cookies or blocking it
Not OpenTable- no consumer incentive 1/5
Unlike OpenTable, there's no incentive for diners to use this app. Use OpenTable and earn points toward dinners. I've used this app a few times and have zero credits. Some of the Resy restaurants don't use OpenTable. It's just as easy to call the restaurant and make your own res. No incentive to use this app.
Terrible search and function 1/5
When you want to search for a specific restaurant it's next to impossible. You have to put in a time and date and then it gives you options. Considering it has a lot of restaurant that get booked fast this is so annoying. How about the bright idea about letting you pick the restaurant first and then seeing days and times are available?!?
Entered my info to sign up. Error message right away. Doesn't work.
Wine Country Guy 1/5
By Fairfield Wino
Lots of reasons not to like this app - very few restaurants in San Francisco and wine country, credit card required to make some reservations, access to Contacts required to invite/notify others via email (for security purposes, NOT GONNA HAPPEN). I'm sticking with anything else.
Worst App Interface I've experienced. 1/5
This app is a labyrinth. It feels like the people who designed this are sitting around a table and laughing at how complicated they've made the process of dinner reservations. I have never experienced a more useless app interface in my life.
Waste of time 1/5
Hardly any restaurants and the ones on it require me to pay to reserve a table?!?! Ridiculous! What a waste of time registering and now they won't stop spamming me!
Restaurant reviews before reservation 1/5
Yet again, after two months, Resy still pushes a review before users can make a reservation. Okay, if that's the case, all reviews will be one star, including the review for this version of the Resy app. Wise up, restaurants. What good is a review if it's imposed upon a guest?
OpenTable is better 2/5
See title of review.
Cannot log into app if previous user 1/5
Title says all. I sign up for Resy on a restaurants website and then download the Resy app. There is no field to sign in for previous users...only for new users to sign up. When I do that it says I'm already a user but where is the sign in???? This app isn't very user friendly
Charges for reservations?? 1/5
And really unappealing layout. Prefer OpenTable.
ugh ... where's the restaurant address? 2/5
Why isn't the restaurant's address visible? I'm so frustrated and confused. Do i really have to ask for directions and leave the app to find the address? That's a waste of time. Please fix this. This is my first experience with Resy and I have a headache already.
Holy Smokes! 5/5
Absolutely blown away by both the customer service at Resy and the App! The restaurant list seems to grow daily making it a fun challenge to hit every spot. The options are endless and the wait is worth it for the midnight reservation openings! Thankful for this updated way of eating my way around the US!
