Doesn’t keep all workouts 2/5
This version isn’t as good. The worst part: twice now I haven’t been able to finish the session. the “pause workout” slider used to be prominent at the bottom -now, nothing except a big green “start” button - I don’t want to start; I want to finish. First time it happened, I lost the whole workout; the second time, it took me 5 minutes to figure out how to stop it, adding that total to my workout - and increasing my miles/minute - rendering the tally useless. Also annoying: too many ads.
Update fail 2/5
Since the most recent update, my Apple Watch series 1 no longer communicates with the iOS app. Starting the app on either my watch or my phone, neither one collects Or displays heart rate info. I know the heart rate monitor in the watch is working, because now I have to use the native workout app on the watch. Which means that runtastic is superfluous. I carry my phone for the music. I’m not planning on using just the watch. But right now runtastic is annoying me.
Heart rate monitor 5/5
Where can I connect my heart rate monitor in new versions?
Loving the Runtastic + Results Apps Combo 5/5
Used to use SmartRunner and reluctantly upgraded to Runtastic + Results after using the Free versions for about a month until Adidas got me with the 58% Off Holiday Sale!
Free from diabetes ! 5/5
I am a member of Runtastics app since 2015 after screening of my diabetes.
Now I am free from this curse. I am not a premium or paid member but it works fine. I got accurate measure and this is very helpful for me.
I just walking 5-6 km a day and now I am feet and I reduce 5kg weight during this time although I am overweight till date. I have fixed a target to reduce another 5kg within 2018.
I love this app very much and I feel bad if I not walk any day !!

Go with the Nike running app 1/5
By Jose Manuel mon
This app forced me to create an account after quite a few months of using it, and then it went ahead and deleted all my past entries.
Auto pause 1/5
Auto pause continually does not work correctly!
Great app 5/5
The Runtastic app is a great app. I like how I can use it without WiFi or data usage. I can also use it anywhere in the world. It seems to be accurate and I like how I can use it for walking or running.
Hate the ads! 1/5
By Friend Of BillW
I used to LOVE this app but recently they started putting ads on it. They’re too many and way too annoying.
Good mile track app for activities 4/5
By Clj mo-town
Like this for using mike track and time on activities like mountain biking and hiking. Great for active lifestyle.
Drains battery 3/5
I really like the app but recently it has been a serious drain on my iPhone 6s battery. I typically run for 25-45 minutes and in that time my battery will lose 60-80% life.
Keeps logging me out 1/5
It’s so annoying, it keeps logging me out right after I log in 😑. I’m not sure if the app is better on androids.
Doesn’t work after update 1/5
Now that you have to register to use the app, it’s completely broken. It Goes into a loop. Login, see an ad, clear the ad, then it’s back to the login page.
So they get my info, but I get nothing. Can not recommend this app.
A Waste of Money 1/5
I’ve used this app app for a couple of months now and it’s a simply an overstated product and a waste of money. It refuses to accept permissions, crashes and then refuses my legitimate password when I try to access it. No help from the developer. Sucker that I am I even paid the $35.95 fee to become a Premium Member. I just deleted it for the last time. Don’t waste your money, the Apple Activity app works flawlessly on both my Watch and IPhone and is free.
After Developer Response: As I said, I deleted it for the last time. Why should I pay for your experiments? How many folks are going to drop you before you focus on the performance of your apps instead of the cute packaging you use to sell them?
Your rating is now down to 3.4, maybe you should rethink your marketing and your response to all these negative ratings.
This was my go to... 3/5
By Updates $^*%
This was my go to app until today. The pop up ads that won’t close are ridiculous.
Just what you need 5/5
I run about 6k/4miles every second day, dont have the premium paid app and it works just fine! I love it! I find it really accurate and the free one has the tools i need anyway for just a basic amateur runner that likes pacing my miles.
Unable to start a workout 1/5
It worked fine a month before but now it won’t even start a simple run.
Apple Watch 1/5
I have little choice but to find a new jogging app. No matter how many times I’ve granted Apple Watch permissions, the watch app eventually blocks me and says I need the iPhone to grant permissions again. This knocks the wind out of my sails when I’m on the street ready to run and then... the app doesn’t work on my Watch.
I like the app and support was responsive (paid subscriber) but I need to walk out the door without wondering if I’ll be able to track my run each time.
Great help 5/5
This app really keeps me on track
I love it 5/5
Terrible release 1/5
An ad every screen! You made the UI harder to follow. Fix this please or you will lose significant users.
Why did you make it harder to add gym type exercises? Pro tip. If you have to explain to your users the multiple presses to find a once easy to use feature you messed up. It is almost impossible to resume using iPhone X. I had to minimize and thankfully it showed up under the music controls. The buttons are to low and the swipe bar does not let you press them. Also what happened to the countdown?
Over the last 6 months or so, the updates to this app have ruined it, going from an okay app to utterly useless. You must sign up to use it, the app is loaded with intrusive ads, it frequently freezes up and fails to accurately track distance (just jumping around as it periodically updates,) they have now removed the ability to pause a run from the main menu, the voice coach is terrible and limited, and it’s startlingly difficult to just fire this app up and start running.
Download and use anything else. If the free version is this terrible, I definitely won’t be buying this.
It was great until updates 1/5
It was such a great app for running and keep record of trainings.
With the last update it became annoying it got so many adds like each 2 or 3 taps on the screen and it pops out those adds.
Needs a little improvement 4/5
I like the app a lot, but it could be better. I do find that the tracker can be a bit off on distance and I wish there was a way to adjust it. I really like the training plans but I don’t like that you can’t manually enter your mileage when you run it on the treadmill. It’s harder to keep track of your mileage when you have many days that say you ran but your miles were 0.
Crashes on my Apple Watch 1/5
By Ur NEW bro
Every time I use the stand alone app on my phone it crashes and says the Apple health app has a problem.
Best app I have ever got! 5/5
By Natalie parent
This app is so good, where I run, there’s no service so when I go for runs Runtastic still keeps track of how far I’ve gone it’s amazing it tell me how far I’ve gone in the time and it reminds me when I made it a mile. This app is amazing, I recommend it it’s so great
Best running app. 5/5
I have tested many running apps This one is by far the best.
It's user friendly and the colors are vibrant and the app is fun to use and gets job done. I love it!!!
This app has issues to WiFi and Bluetooth 5/5
I could not figured out what was wrong with my WiFi and Bluetooth in my iPhone 7 Plus. I got two iPhones replaced as defective at Apple Store. Both of them seemed to have defective connectivity modules. I got my third iPhone. When I installed this app I got the same issues. When I deleted this app everything got ok.
Dear developers please fix it.
Thank you for your reply.
I love this app. I use Runtastic Results for CrossFit and love it too.
I hope you can fix this connectivity issue.
What Happened 1/5
By B Dizzleeee
This used to be an awesome running app. What happened?? Seems like this new update just destroyed the app. I’m not the only one either. I have the Apple Watch Series 2, and all of the sudden the heart rate tracking doesn’t work. Also when I start a run on the app on my phone, I used to be able to see live updates on the watch, it was awesome. Now The watch app is standalone? Which makes absolutely no sense considering it need my phones GPS. So dumb. Guess I’ll be moving to MapMyRun or some other app. This is garbage.
Ez persuaded 5/5
It's a fantastic app to use. Simple to use!
Terrible app for Apple Watch users 1/5
This was my favorite running app. I was a Runtastic Premium member. But Runtastic has stopped supporting the Apple Watch Series 1 in any sort of useful way. The Sep 2017 update created a standalone Apple Watch app, whereas previously the Watch app was basically just a convenient way to view (2nd screen) activity being recorded by the iPhone app. If you are one of the many people that don't upgrade your Apple Watch every year and still have a watch without GPS, this means you have a choice. You can either use the standalone Watch app to record your run without a GPS trace and an inaccurate guess at distance. Or you can use the iPhone app but not get any benefits from your watch (no 2nd screen and no heart rate). When Runtastic touted this as an upgrade to a fantastic new Apple Watch experience, they were appropriately ripped apart in the comments by longtime users. They have shown absolutely no sign in the last couple months of doing an about-face. In fact they have replied to the commenters and mostly dug in. If you are a Premium Runtastic member, you should contact them to cancel. I requested a prorated refund since they literally broke the app for me, but they cited T&C that I had signed and declined. You do still need to cancel or they will automatically renew you. If you are a free app user, this is probably not a running app to stick with. There are plenty of better alternatives out there. And if you haven't yet tried Runtastic, don't bother.
Favorite exercise app! 5/5
I’ve been using Runtastic for over 4 years and it’s my favorite. I use it every time I exercise outside: hiking, biking, running, walking, cross country skiing, even swimming! Absolutely worth the $36 a year for the premium version.
No title 5/5
Is a good thing.. thanks a lot
I used to love this app!!! 1/5
I USED to love how this app worked with my Apple Watch! I could change my workouts, see my calories burned and my heart rate all on my watch. With the update to the stand alone app Runtastic has become completely worthless!!!!! I now have only 3 workout choices to pick from, NONE of them I do. Martial arts, strength training, and elliptical are no longer available! None of the options left show my calories burned, which is what I use for my workout length. There have been very few times in my experience where a company has taken a pretty good product and made it completely worthless, but this in one of them!!! On top of all of that, it took hours to find the info to show that things are not “broken” but instead are the new way it works!
Good bye Runtastic, I am now in search of a new workout app that actually has some customization to pick workouts I actually do and ability to do what your app used to do!
I wish you to include the Arabic language on your wonderful application .
Can’t pair Polar H10 2/5
By Michael Tode
I like the app, but it won’t pair with my heart rate monitor now (reinstalled, reset monitor, reset network settings...no luck). The HR monitor will pair with polar app and runkeeper, but I prefer Runtastic. It was great at this for a while. I’ll try again after the next update.
Great App and it's FREE! 5/5
I don't exercise enough to invest in expensive equipment and gadgets. Runtastic is an excellent choice for me. I should say that I ran several 5 and 10Ks and a half marathon too. Runtastic is still a great choice when I'm in the serious mode too!
Hobbled functionality 2/5
By Al Day
With the new update, the ability to control Runtastic on your phone with the watch. The standalone watch app has less functionality than before as it can only track your run if you have the newest Apple Watch with GPS. If your watch doesn’t have GPS and you want to track your run geographically you have to start it from your phone and the watch app will not communicate with it. Used to be a great app.
1 year and counting. 5/5
Works for me..
Stinks. Off by 50%. That’s right, off by 50% 1/5
By Thoughtful in London
Walked a measured distance. Pedometer AND Google Maps both measured 1.1 miles, 1780 m. Good old Runtastic thought it was 2450 m, 1.5 miles. That is so far off it’s not close to useful.
Just what I need 5/5
Simple and easy to navigate, just what I need. Hardly any pop ups or advertisement.
Exclente aplicación!! Weee
Great tracking. 4/5
It's easy to use and works for a lot of different exercises.
Great app for a free one 4/5
The app is great, hope it would be free, guiding you step by step, but it cuts after two km
Good app 5/5
Gives me everything I need in the free version
Very good 5/5
This app was fine until it screwed up the PW reset! 1/5
This app was fine on until it screwed up the ability to reset your password. When you follow the password reset, it sends you an email with a link, and the link just takes you nowhere. Developer needs to fix ASAP!
