Movie selection? 2/5
I’m kinda shocked that only certain (very old) movies are available. I’m a sci/fi fan and was looking for Star Wars, which needless to say, was not listed. The “SW’s” movie series range from dates: 1977-2005. I did find old sci/fi movie Terminator (from 1984)! Now, every once in a while, they (Showtime) will air ALL the Star Wars movies (back-to-back) so I know the movies are in their repertoire of movie genres. So, is this selective availability? Or just frustrating enough to make you purchase a higher package, buy the DVD’s or otherwise find a different solution to ‘movie watching mania’? It just seems the good ones (movies) are purposely omitted. I’ve found this to be true of certain other very good movies that are mysteriously ‘omitted’ from listings.

My husband is the primary acct holder but doesn’t watch cable like me and my son why do I need it, hbo and max don’t require it. Listen to your consumers or remove this app altogether. I’m disappointed learning I can download it now I can’t use it

The trash activate site keeps telling me to go to the app, I go to the app and then have to sign in again. It’s ridiculous, you and hbo gotta get it together fam.

These guys are so dumb with trying to sell their app they want you download it so every time you try to go to the showtimeanytime.com/activate page it just redirect you to download the app.hahaha. You can never get to the actual activation page. They’re trying so hard to get new people to download the app they haven’t thought about the fact that there really are preventing people with it from actually ever activating it. So everybody just deletes the stupid thing. Someone tell your marketing team they’re a bunch of dillweeds.

This app, as well as the AppleTV app, constantly log out. Even worse, when the AppleTV app logs itself out, you inexplicably have to activate it from another device, which is also now logged out. I have called customer support several times and they are no help. They refuse to acknowledge that there is an issue with the app.
Terrible and all videos are tiny 1/5
The app itself is full screen but all videos are tiny and not formatted for smartphones. As a result all video content doesn’t look right on the iPhone X or iPhone 8 Plus. Netflix and HBO Go both show video content that fills the screen and looks much better. Crossing my fingers they fix this with an update.

I would like to personally commend Showtime for offering the best “premium “ television application for use with my Apple TV, Roku television, IPad, and IPhone.
It is the easiest to navigate, and provides several features to help me have my favorite shows downloaded automatically and ready for me to view at my leisure.
The streaming always works flawlessly, and the notifications of new, additional programming is both timely and appreciated.
I spend the extra money to have a blazing fast internet connection, and can download a high definition movie in less than 5 minutes. This makes it convenient to download a variety of movies, and episodes of content that I can enjoy no matter where I may travel.
I applaud both the great variety of content, as well as the feature rich viewing application.
To those who “boldly” threaten to “take their business elsewhere”... see ya!

Repeatedly get ‘error not available’ when attempting to login with my Spectrum credentials. One time got a response page that looked like an error page from 1996 (bad gateway yada yada). How hard is this?
I love showtime but streaming can be difficult 5/5
I was also having trouble loading showtime anytime on my roku. I finally went to one of my devices after it said I needed to put in activation code. It didn’t pull up a place to do so when I went to showtimeanytime.com/activate. I then downloaded the mobile app on my phone. So I followed directions to put in my provider for me, direct tv now. So now it worked on my phone but the tv still had an activation code on screen. From here I went to settings and lo and behold a place to activate other devices. It had many, my roku was one, Xbox etc.I choose my roku and it had a place to put in the code. A few seconds later my tv was activated. As I had never seen that before rather than it disconnecting with each use perhaps it just was never correctly activated. I think some of this stuff is just a learning curve. Also if you reset your tv it seems that I sometimes have to put in codes and passwords on some channels. Thanks showtime for keeping me hooked up on all of my devices. I think some of the ratings may be caused by users needing to figure this stuff out. Showtime Anytime never cuts out. I have no streaming problems at all. Also the picture is great and content. It’s a five star app IMO.

A very meh application 1/5
The shows and movies are good (especially considering it is free with most cable companies) but the app crashes consistently, for some reason after a few minutes of inactivity or a few minutes of being paused it stops streaming & the user interface is very illogical and not very used friendly/efficient.
Worst app I’ve ever used. Very limited selection of films, limited selection on shows. And not a user friendly app at all.

I’m giving this app one star review simply because I want to activate my AppleTV and Showtime forces you to download their app when every other provider allows this process over the web. This is a shameless way to drive downloads in my opinion.
Not user friendly 1/5
On the App on the Apple TV, it tells you to go to a website, then sign in, then enter code. Like every other sign subscriber App does. However, when you go to the website, there is no place to enter ANYTHING in, ANYWHERE. So, you have to download the App, sign in to the App (on the phone or tablet). Once you do that, very hidden is Activate devices, where you can select multiple devices to activate. Very dumb, who over designed this, should be probably not design Apps for Apple TV. Please update to better sign in and maybe the rating for this might go up. Your choice.
Pointless app never activates 1/5
I have tried multiple times to login to this app with my tv subscription to no avail. It just sits there telling me i successfully logged in but never takes me back. So I hit the back button and it says I still need to login. I have even tried closing the app, deleting the app and it NEVER activated. Thus it is pointless, whom ever claimed to test this app before it was released should find a new career.

Can't login to the app or online. Support blames my provider, provider blames Showtime. I'm actually on my providers side as all other apps work correctly.
Support apparently can't read their tickets and keep repeating the same thing, "reset password", "try another device". Both of these have been done with no solution in site.

I am so disgusted and infuriated with this app and the company behind it! I have this on my fire stick, and have been paying for it, but I can’t use it, and can’t get them to STOP billing me! On my fire stick it says you have to go to showtime anytime.com/activate and someplace you are supposed to put the activation code in. This page only lets you get this stupid app. And I can’t use either one! I am absolutely infuriated and disgusted and now I have to close my bank card and replace it because that is the only way to get them to stop! How absurd is that?
Don’t let them rope you in so they can charge you all kinds of money and you can’t do anything about it!

This app won’t load onto my iPhone. It looks nearly complete but not loading. Very frustrating! Also, I tried contacting App support, but it just goes back to the installation mode. Sigh.

Xfinity users not able to log in - stuck in loop 1/5
The app was working fine for a couple weeks, then one day logged me out on multiple devices, and since then it keeps bringing me back to an Xfinity page where they try to sell you the service as if I am not a showtime subscriber. It cant seem to verify the account when logging in.
Shouldn’t have gotten logged out of Roku just to download an app to activate this again on another device. Way to get app downloads ... also a way to get horrible reviews. This is ridiculous.

Sometime when I open the application, it’s a blank screen. I have to continually delete the app and re-log back in. As much as I enjoy your series, it’s not worth the headache. I will take my business elsewhere and put my 8.99 towards something else and I will not be going to your help page to get assistance because truth be told, this just shouldn’t be happening anyway.

Most annoying is that if I reopen the app while casting it stops playback and disconnects from Chromecast. Plus it doesn't resume from exactly the same spot.

I just had to download this app long enough to give it one star. I only wanted to activate showtime app on my Xbox, but it won’t let me unless I download the iOS app. Nobody likes being forced to do something.

I go to showtime anytime.com/activate just like it says on my Apple TV and I don’t get the ENTER ACTIVATION CODE. I finally found the icon on the top left that got me there. I am tired of having to get my iPad and reactivate so often. Ridiculous, I’ve had showtime for years

It amazes me that a video streaming app doesn't rotate for landscape view. If I had to pay for Showtime, I definitely would not be spending money on this terrible application. Definitely losing in the streaming game. Thumbs down.

It causes my tv to crash and restart when I cast the app to my tv. The app itself crashes several times in one episode of Shameless and then stops working.
Such great programs but a terrible app. Why can’t the video rotate landscape left or right? And why is there no support for the full screen on the iPhone X?
Showtime Wants You To Work For Them For Free 1/5
Geniuses there forget they 80% of people operate from their mobile devices. You can’t activate an Apple TV from your phone because they have a mobile site to send you to the App Store even if you don’t want to watch on your phone. Then, try their failed connection to Spectrum (can’t comment on other providers) Not thought through!
