    Time to delete this app. I’m sure there’s plenty of apps in the App Store that perform the same function for free. There’s no way I’m paying 9.99 a month for this app. I’d rather subscribe to Netflix or any other streaming service that is actually worth the money.

    The app is awesome. Love the app as a secondary line, I use it for personal and business. Sometimes limited connectivity, but to be expected if reception isn’t the best in that area. Personally I’d like to have an auto shutdown option after so much inactivity for security/privacy reasons. Has that suggestion been explored just yet? Keep up the good work IT/Developers!

    I’m fine with paying for a service, provided it works. Ever since the switch to paid (I opted in for annual) I have had over 1/2 my calls just show up as missed. My phone never even rang once! The free service used to suffer from this intermittently but the paid service is significantly worse. I really hope they can get this resolved because this is our current business line and I need to be able to respond to customer needs in a timely fashion.

    The service was free, and good, I honestly don't mind Sideline charging, but going from FREE to $9.99, is EXTREME!!!! I will NOT be referring anyone else via my iHeartRadio show, I will find another economical 2nd Line Service😧😧😧😧

    I am a small business owner and use sideline almost daily. It has been an essential tool in communicating to my customers. Yes it is a paid service but well worth it in my opinion, much more cost effective that paying for another phone. The only thing I would like to have is iPhone X support! Please update, thank you!

    My review keeps getting deleted. This is the 3rd one. Guess they don’t like the truth. Reimburse me my money. The money I spent on business cards with this phone number. You know the one that you said would always be free. Even went to try to port the number out and these clowns want $20.00. Its funny how my review gets deleted but yet these reviews from a year ago are still on here. REIMBURSE ME MY MONEY!!! Now they’ve got their friends writing 5 star reviews just to bring up their 1.8 star review.

    Wow this service is definitely not ready for businesses. There is no feature for scheduling business hours so calls go straight to voicemail after hours. Their answer was for me to manually turn it on and off every business day. Talk about a pain for a feature that is standard for any other phone forwarding service. There are many that offer this at the same price or less. Godaddys service,, the list is long. Don’t bother with a service that lacks basic features!

    This app gets better and better with every update! Now I have a second phone number that I can give out to people who I don't want to have my real cell number. The best part is that all calls are forwarded to my real number. Plus it has unlimited texting. Works perfectly, and the new UI looks great.

    I love how it keeps my business and personal number separate. I can set calls to go to voicemail in the evening and have a text auto reply to the caller and helps it seem like a personal touch while I am busy. Yes there is a subscription but I find so much value in it and their customer support via text is quick and easy when I have a quick question that needs answering.

    Thanks for the 2nd number, but I'd rather pay T-Mobile for a 2nd number where I don't need an additional app. Also, even though I paid to port out my number, you still reclaimed it because I haven’t been using it on your service. 👎🏻👎🏻

    I needed a second phone number, and didn't want to use a free service because of all the ads you always deal with. Sideline is worth every penny (I've been using it for awhile now) and it's nice to see improvements always being made.     This app is great. Best quality of any phone app out there. People are upset because they recently switched to a paid-only Service. But they made it better! So I was happy about it. After all, I have a dedicated work line for only $10 per month. I used to have to carry around a 2nd cellphone that cost like $50/month. Plus, Sideline has more features and functionality than my regular number. It’s rad. Keep up the good work, Sideline.

Even better for small business owners - keep your personal and business calls separate on the same phone, reassign employee phone numbers, setup auto attendant and redirect customer calls!

    There’s lots of “free” VoIP apps I’ve tried, but their quality just doesn’t compare to my carrier phone number. Sideline is identical to my carrier calls, and easily worth the cost compared to paying Verizon for another phone to carry around.

    It says in the description that you can port existing numbers, which is amazing. However... during set up it doesn’t give you that option. So I’m stuck at “lets find a number you’ll love”. I have a number and this app would be perfect because it basically forwards texts! Help!

    Edit to add on 11/28/17: Final update on this subject. 11 days later I finally receive a response. First they thanked me for being a long time customer, acknowledged that I was grandfathered in, then proceeded to tell me that since for whatever reason the issue came up where I was not charged for a month (still unclear why that happened) I would have to pay the 9.99. Nope not going to happen and I'm not paying to port the number. I'll spend 100x that on redoing all my business marketing and uniforms before I give them another dime. Edit to add on 11/22/17: Read below to see the saga. Bottom line is the same thing has happened again and Christian is telling me I now need to pay $10/month. I sent him proof again along with a screenshot of a text from them stating that I was grandfathered in at the original price. It's now been 5 days and I've not heard back. This is a pitiful company and I will make it my mission to share their practices wherever I can. I don't care now if they fix it or not. I'm fed up and I'll not be using them once my subscription is up on 12/3. I'm also not paying to port my number and will be redoing all my business materials with my sideline number to my new number. Edit to add on 11/3/17: After some back and forth through email and text everything was fixed. I appreciate their support staff working with me to come to a resolution. They were friendly and helpful. I have changed my previous rating from 1-star to 5-stars. Thank you! --------- I'd been a monthly subscriber for over a year, paying their asking price of $3/month. Even got a message from them awhile back saying not to worry about what I heard about the price going up, it's not going to happen. (First I'd heard of it). Opened the app today and it said i have to pay $10/month for a required subscription. This is the number on my business cards, website and all my advertising so you can imagine my frustration. After the way they have done loyal customers I sincerely hope the company goes belly up. This is not the way to operate and expect to keep customers. You want to raise the prices fine. But don't tell me you aren't and not to worry about it then let me try to use the app one day only to see my second (business line) has been high jacked for ransom. Despicable and infuriating. All the worst to you, sideline.

    Notice the rates are dropping ever since you started charging money. Not everyone can afford $9.99 a month for phone calls. The app was running very smoothly without it and we were fine with the adds. This app used to have 5 starts and now lost 2 because of this. If you had to collect money you should’ve have started small maybe $0.99. I used to love this app but I will now Just look for another app to use.

    This app has been working perfectly for texting which is why I wanted it. I've made one voice call only and it worked fine. Emailed tech support and my issue was quickly resolved.

    Don’t wast your time on this garbage excuse for an app. This app is pathetically sad, I downloaded this app, and I couldn’t even get passed the confirm account screen. From this point I tried reinstalling the app and restarting my phone and ended up with the same result. Am using an iPhone 8 and iOS is up to date, so I know it’s not my phone, again don’t waste your time, because this app is garbage. To the developers, you guys should create better quality apps for consumer use, and not this bull crap, very disappointing, it’s too bad I can’t rate this a 0 on the rating scale. And to the other users, you guys are just lying to yourself if you gave this app anything higher than a 1 star review.

    I use this for my business. clients have been reporting they're sending texts and I don't receive them. I reached out to Sideline's support and they were not only not helpful, they were unkind and unthoughtful. I'm searching for an alternative service and plan to switch immediately.

    They don’t tell you it’s a $9.99/month subscription until you download and set it up. I saw the 7-day free trial screen, exited, and deleted the app. I’m hoping they don’t try and charge me since I never agreed to a free trial or a charge for it. They had no option to say no thanks. I just exited. If they charge then I’ll fight it with Apple. Awful business practice. I’m sure it’s illegal here in California if they try to charge me without agreement. I’m filing a complaint with Apple since this whole thing looks shady.

    The app works very well. Customer service was outstanding when,mysteriously, calls coming in went straight to voicemail. Turns out Verizon was blocking Sideline calls....reminiscent of other providers’ attempts to throttle competition and undermine net neutrality!

    I have been using this app for about a year as my main business line. In general, Sideline does what it’s supposed to do. I can text and call using the phone number that it has provided me. I don’t mind that they went to a subscription, because ads are irritating. In my opinion, $10 a month for another line is a fair cost (for one that works well). That being said, there are a few issues with it that should be addressed. 1. The phone number I have is being used by spammers. I have gotten a few people calling me saying that my Sideline number is calling their iPads, when I know for a fact that I did not call these people. 2. Caller ID is glitchy. Sometimes the contact doesn’t show up, and it just says “incoming Sideline call” with the phone number. Even more annoyingly, at other times, the contact shows up, but it’s the wrong person. I will answer the phone thinking it is John Smith, because that’s what the caller ID says, but it turns out it is a totally different person. I have a made a fool of myself a couple times answering the phone, saying, “Hey John!” And they respond with, “This isn’t John. It’s Bob.” 3. The app doesn’t fully support iPhone X. The app does WORK on the iPhone X, but it is not integrated like Apple’s messaging or phone apps. Sideline doesn’t utilize the entire screen, making the app unattractive to use on the X. Like some other apps that haven’t been updated, it has black bars covering the top and bottom of the screen, as if I were still using my old iPhone 6. For those of you that are on the fence about getting Sideline, it definitely works. If you need a business line, it gets the job done, but you do have to deal with some issues. Hopefully now that people are paying for the service, they will work on getting these issues resolved.

    I use this for work and was a free user, then switched to the paid version when they switched over - I went ahead and paid the $70 in advance to save some extra $. It works great for what I need. The only suggestion I have for this app is an ability to have an option to select multiple numbers to delete at once. As it is now, you have to swipe and delete each number individually, which is time-consuming. Other than that I love it! Much better than paying $30+ a month for a landline or having to keep track of a separate mobile device. Keep up the good work!

    There are plenty of free options now that Sideline has decided to bait and switch users who relied on the app as a second number. There's google voice, freetone, freedompop, talkatone, and many others. Sideline reps respond to the bad reviews here saying their subscription model is for the good of the customer but I don't see how $10 per month for a mediocre voip app is anyway good for the customer. Good luck with the failing model Sideline, you'll probably learn you were better off serving ads.

    I have read many of the reviews and the Developers response to them. The subscription change? I get it. Their business needs the income to justify the resources it needs to keep the app up and further develop it. However, what I don’t hear is a plan on how they plan to fix bugs many users are stating. I see them talking about new features, and I will be excited for them when they come. I would be excited now if the feature they are supposed to have now worked properly. Example: Their “Caller ID” I have calls and texts from those who are in my contacts, but it doesn’t show their name, only their number. You would think that type of integration would be obvious. I have been using Sideline for a year, have voiced my feedback to them, and .... nothing. Example: I answer a Sideline call and know that I need to wait several second before saying “hello” because, for some reason, the call isn’t connected right away. I’m fine with your new subscription model, but please listen to your loyal customers.
