Sideline - Second Phone Number App

A 2nd number for your smartphone—that’s your Sideline. Sideline is the fastest-growing phone solution for businesses, teams, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and anyone who needs a 2nd number. Your second number comes with all the features of a regular phone number such as calling, texting, voicemail, and more. On top of that, everything works with your existing carrier network (instead of Wi-Fi), making Sideline the most reliable and highly-rated phone app out there. The Sideline Subscription gets you unlimited access to all of the great calling, texting, and voicemail features with premium support. ($9.99/month or $99.99/year In-App Purchase Required) WHY SIDELINE? – With Sideline, there’s no need to carry two cell phones, stay tied to a landline, or use your personal number for work. HOW IT WORKS – Your two numbers simply live in different apps. Separate caller ID, notifications, and ringtones make it clear who’s contacting you—and on which number.  CUSTOM NUMBER SELECTOR – Choose your area code and search memorable numbers like, “(555) DOG-WALK,” or combinations that are “JUST4U.” NUMBER PORTING – Already have a 2nd number? Bring it with. Porting lets you transfer existing numbers to Sideline from another device or landline.  CARRIER RELIABILITY – Unlike other calling apps that only work over Wi-Fi, Sideline uses your phone’s existing cellular network*. This gives you the same great call quality you get from your regular number.  TEXTING & CALLING – Texting is unlimited. Calling works with your carrier plan so minutes (which are probably unlimited) get shared between your two numbers.  SEPARATE VOICEMAIL – Greet callers with a professional voicemail greeting for your Sideline number. You can even set up multiple voicemails for any circumstance. AUTO-TEXT REPLIES – Every missed call is a customer you may never get back. So Auto-Reply lets you engage customers with a text message whenever you miss their call. TEAM NUMBER – Let your phone number ring simultaneously on multiple devices so your whole team can call, text, and respond from one line. Sharing a number improves company collaboration, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction. OPTIONAL UPGRADES ––––––– VOICEMAIL-TO-TEXT – Get your voicemails transcribed and conveniently read them as a text message. ($2.99/month In-App Purchase Required) VoIP CALLING – Make phone calls over WiFi if your carrier network doesn’t have a stronger cellular connection. ($2.99/month In-App Purchase Required) SALESFORCE INTEGRATION – Access your Salesforce contacts and leads with Sideline. Then log calls and business communication so you can always be closin’. ($9.99/month In-App Purchase Required) MANAGE MULTIPLE NUMBERS – Remotely manage multiple numbers and turn employee phones into an entire company phone system. (Enterprise account required. See Sideline.com for details) TERMS ––––––– The required Sideline Subscription and all other in-app purchases are automatically billed monthly or annually to your iTunes Account and auto-renew, unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Payments will be charged to your iTunes account upon confirmation of purchase. You can turn off auto-renew or manage subscriptions in your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the active subscription period. Privacy policy & terms of use: http://www.pinger.com/privacy-policy *Data and Internet connectivity are still required for general functionality. “Using your carrier network,” makes call quality more reliable than calls over VoIP or Wi-Fi.  Hawaii, Alaska and the US territories aren't currently supported.

  • Horrible when Free, Stupid if you pay 1/5

    By dba0410
This app had horrible, clunky, slow and undependable service when it was free. No way in the world I'll pay for it. Bad business decision. Google Voice and others still free and much better quality and depandability
  • Bait and switch. 1/5

    By MIGUELT10
The typical lure you in for free, then get your number frozen until you switch to paying subscription. Already trying out other side number apps!!! Stay away!
  • Not worth paying for 1/5

    By jongeorge
Great concept! But a subscription is not worth it for me, personally. Is there another way to monetize the product?
  • CHARGING CUSTOMERS REGARDLESS OF AD REVENUE 1/5

    By Ron Lebovitz
Just noticed the amount of negative reviews, which is well deserved. Hats off to the marketing geniuses that thought of the great idea to charge customers. U can get an unlimited burner through burner app for less than half of what these crooks charge. Regardless, tons of free burner apps in the app store. Goodluck with your future careers as customer service reps at best buy. Those blue shirts are honestly quote flattering.
  • Now made a paid service without any heads up 1/5

Really like the seamless experience of a second phone number with additional convenient features.
  • Not paying 2/5

    By PF265
I liked the App till you started charging monthly fee, plenty free apps out there. Thanks
  • Really useful! 5/5

    By happygrandpa
I ported in my old home landline number - it was super easy. That's saving me a bundle every month even with a paid service. And Sideline has more useful features than the landline ever had. Thanks!
  • Paid service 1/5

    By zi0oi
This app used to be good when it was free. Now you need to pay to use it. There are other apps for an alias number.
  • Super useful & simple 5/5

    By Olaf972
This app gave me a free second phone number that works with my existing carrier plan. I dropped my old landline at home and saved $20 a month. Nice! Thank you Sideline!

  • This app is great!!! 5/5

    By ginageee
This is a great app! It’s helped me separate out my work and personal calls. Thanks to Sideline it’s easier to figure out if I need to answer or if I can just let it ring through
  • Awsomeee app 5/5

    By Jaideepkatkar
    Totally worth the money.....
  • Terrible quality after their change 1/5

    By AwfulPirate
I have had Sideline for years and it worked very well. However, since they switched to a Subscription model, the sound quality has gone down the drain. Every call I've placed and received has been met with complaints of how bad I sound to them. They also are muffled and not very clear to me. I had signed up for a year subscription because the service was great before. I regret it now with how terrible the sound quality is. Improve it and I will update my review.
  • Ahora es pagado. Ya no bueno. 1/5

  • Great stuff, Sideline! 5/5

    By Nick74952
This app is great. I get a dedicated work number for only $10 per month. I used to have to carry around a 2nd cellphone that cost like $50/month. Plus, Sideline has more features and functionality than my regular number. It’s rad. Keep up the good work, Sideline. The new UI is really slick too.
  • Nope 1/5

I will not pay for something that was free before.. when I can just get another free app
  • Was the best app 1/5

    By Luisitonyc
    Now its not.
  • 4th review 1/5

    By rj0001
My review keeps getting deleted. This is the 4th time. These clowns need to REIMBURSE me the money I spent on business cards with this phone number on them. And I just love how they put reviews from last year or before they decided to steal money from people first.
  • Disappointed 1/5

    By Ringo_T
I loved Sideline until they made it a paid subscription-only service. They have lost me as customer.
  • So disappointed 1/5

    By YourAPPisAPieceofCRAP
This app was amazing! It was my go to 2nd number which I recommended to EVERYONE! It is so upsetting and unfortunate it had to go paid. Subscription especially. A one time fee or maybe TWO DOLLARS a month MAYBE. But $10/month or $70/year is outrageous. There's still plenty of other free alternatives, albeit not as good as sideline once was. I really loved this app and used to every day, and I can't begin to express my distain. :( I understand it's a business and they have to make money, but it's still a shame though. I guess Goole Voice will be making a comeback. Or this opens up for a new company to fill the free spot. Which was what made the app so appealing in the first place. :( UPDATE*** I also must say, the copy and paste response from the developer is quite disingenuous and disheartening. Clearly you're not concerned by the OVERWHELMING responses from FLEEING customers. Don't need to take a business 101 class to know you need customers to support your business!
  • Bad 1/5

    By Wallers69
Was free and then they changed to paid only and froze the number. Can’t be trusted with reliable service. Especially for business
  • Is this where greed really gets you? 1/5

    By Detrroiittt
Make it free again and I will download again and pay for the little add ons instead. Bad move
  • A nice app "Gone" 1/5

    By Fendermaneddie
Well where do I start? I have used this out for serval years and been pretty decent for a second phone line on my iPhone but now asking users to pay a subscription is ridiculous when Google voice is offered for free which I have now gone back to before using the slider app. Guess I'll stay with Google Voice unless they offer the free version again......
  • Not Excited 1/5

    By GaryinMaine
Update 10/16: app has been deleted. 👋 Hey Sideline ... I did not "get excited" from your news about the shift to a paid subscription only service. As others have mentioned, your initial email about an exciting update was misleading .. who in their right mind gets excited about going from something that is free to something that you have to pay for??? Add me to the list of those discontinuing use after October 11. Bye now!!!
  • Now a Pay Service Be Aware 1/5

    By Joe5042
Lol Pay service you got to be kidding me deleting it, so many free ones that are better than most I would pay is approximately three dollars a month. The sound quality is horrific also . I would stay away.
  • Way too much 1/5

    By Shanexxxx....
I've used this app for over a year for business but now 70$??? Really? Way too much. Won't get one cent out of me for this app
  • Trash 1/5

    By jjycg
From a Free app to a paid They Should off let the people that had their since day one free they so freaking corny
  • Unreliable For Every Day 2/5

    By OH Supervisor
This app was worth having when it was free, because it did what you needed it to with a few small glitches. The app doesn't want to open half the time, the interface is worse, and is not worth the money you pay for it.
  • 70 ? 10? 1/5

    By New World Star
I'm not the first or last to tell you this you guys are charging to much! Lower your price to 1-5 dollars a month and I might be back after you restore the quality
  • Was Great 1/5

    By Norcal bay
Way too steep for paid service now and the quality of sound has went down. Too bad, this was once a great app I used to suggest to people.
  • Another good thing ruined by greed 1/5

    By Unsatisfied Single
Their app used to be good, up until recently when their quality took a dive and to compensate for that they started charging. It will soon be a thing of the past because it no longer has any value. There are plenty of other apps that provide equal or now even better quality, for free.
  • Deleting 1/5

    By sam.13456
All the sudden start charging $10/ month without any upgrades?!
  • Not worth it.. 1/5

    By Minaglam
Had this app for a yr now, always had trouble with calls dropping and context sometimes she wouldn't send, now that it's a monthly fee service still remains the same quality, other free apps similar to this.. moving on..
  • Smh not worth 10.00 a month 1/5

    By MzBeautiful2128
This is a waste of money it’s not worth 10.00/month call quality not good
  • No Added Value 1/5

    By itsratedjay
Had to change my rating from 5 to 1 star. I don't see the value in paying for a service when Google Voice is available.
  • Charging now?! 1/5

    By Ggarc
Used to love it, just uninstalled it. Shouldn't be charging $70!
  • Crap. 1/5

    By Kaveman#1
I have had them for years now they want to charge no thanks. There are plenty better options for free out there bye bye sideline.
  • I used to love it 1/5

    By Tehdkdhcnxlzmhzu
I used to love the app but now it’s a pay thing it’s went downhill I’m not gonna use this app again until it changes
  • Overpriced subscription 1/5

    By Malory2marbles000dle
Way overpriced for this type of subscription service, especially when there are other similar apps for cheaper that have better features. Unsubscribing and deleting this garbage from my phone. Don't waste your time or money with this app made by greedy creators!
  • They killed my old number bc I didn’t pay them.. 1/5

  • Worked better when it was free 1/5

By Waiting for a bug fix update!
I paid for a year subscription, and now the so called upgrades annoy me. The notifications settings do work. If you turn off the notifications, the thing still rings anyway. I do not want the incoming and outgoing phone call log integrated with my phone’s native call log. I want everything in the app only, just as before. The app doesn’t ring with a distinct tone anymore. It uses the same ringtone as my personal line. So without looking at the screen, I do not know if I am receiving a sideline call or a personal call. And if you block the forced sideline contact that is stored, then all calls go directly to my personal voicemail. The text to voicemail is not great. It does work somewhat, but until it works better, i wouldn’t depend highly on it or pay the additional fee for it with a plan where it’s not already included. I would have been just fine if the app continued to work the same as it did before it switched to a paid subscription. And I’ll be glad to change my rating to 5 stars if it can meet that point at a minimum.
  • Many better options out there 1/5

    By Socfan123
Thought the app was ok, but no way I will pay-- especially $70. Good luck. Bye
  • The worst 1/5

    By Deme031
Can't hear anything but static an charge me $10 a month I'm deleting this it's a ripoff
  • To bad! 1/5

    By KolokoMIAMCO
I used Sideline as my business line on my cell had it for over a year and it worked great. Now we have to pay? I don't think so. I can just downloaded another phone app that a free and change the number on my business cards and marketing materials. BAD MOVE I'm sure you're loosing many customers.
