Slacker radio 4/5
Can you please add Radio Disney Station under kids I love that feature on this app and you please add way to delete stations under recent stations
Slacker subscriber est. 2010 5/5
Customer service was responsive. I was double charged for a silver and pro membership for 4 months, and only received my most recent month’s pay via a chargeback. I would like to blame Slacker, however I blame myself for not staying up on my financial statements and being as responsive as the company was.
After addressing the only elephant in the room between slacker and myself, it’s been nothing but sweet goodness and groovy vibes. I’ve taken music from your platform with me around the world from Africa to South America, and around Europe with your offline downloads. The memories of listening to those songs in certain places will be with me for life.
My advice after all these years? Bring back the classic tuning platform from your older versions, simplify the method one can organize songs within a playlist (especially offline), and use your potential to go international, or even rock around the globe!
Tunes to workout to 5/5
the occasional commercials are a small price for free music
Great app with a lot of potential! But... 3/5
I love Slacker Radio! But I have a few problems with it.
• if I use the app for a long time, whenever I switch the station, a security check pops up, asking me to type in a code. That’s fine, but my problem is that the same thing comes on after EVERY OTHER STATION when I switch. It seems like you guys are assuming that just because I use the app for a long period of time, someone is hacking into my account.
• when I first turn the app on, I pick a station and then I try to switch it or the song that’s currently playing if I don’t like the song. Then, a pop up video comes on and then the next song plays. However, this is a problem because it plays at the same time as the previous song, so they are playing together, but they overlap each other. If you are confused about what I am trying to explain, I’ll give an example: let’s say I picked a station and Taylor Swift’s song Shake it Off comes on. Let’s pretend I hate it (it’s actually one of my favorites). As I try to skip the song, a pop up ad video comes on. After it’s over, Katy Perry’s song Roar comes on. But then Shake it Off and Roar would both play at the same time.
• my final problem is the premium option. I think it is really cool that you guys are allowing offline listening and the ability to go back to previous songs, but I feel that you shouldn’t have to pay a weekly fee. I understand that you guys need to earn money, but I would be more than willing to pay if it was a one time payment. At the very least, make us pay a fee of, oh, I don’t know, but maybe $50. I would consider doing that.
In conclusion, this is an amazing app that I use everyday. If you guys make the improvements that I suggested, I would love it even more. Thank you for taking the time to read my review!!
Love it 5/5
Love it is the best way for me to Express it
Best update info 😂😂 5/5
The way they use songs in their description of the update but still tell you what they fixed is amazing. I also love how easy it is to find and play songs I 100% recommend this over every other music app
30 Second Video Ads on a Music App? 2/5
Used to be the best radio service. Now they're thirsty for money.
I love Slacker Radio 5/5
Works great for me, except for the ads.
Wait for next update 3/5
Latest update is buggy. It causes the app to not be seen in Apple CarPlay. They said it’s a known issue which they are working on. Wait for next release before updating.
Update for CarPlay? 3/5
Love the app. I use it mainly in my car—with CarPlay. Since IOS update, Slacker doesn’t show up. Seems odd that such a great app wouldn’t keep up with os updates. Without an update, it’s becoming a burden—and dangerous—to use Slacker while driving.
I’ll provide a higher rating when I can start up Slacker while driving without having to touch my phone.
Very hard to understand this app 2/5
why does slacker radio keep asking me to uograde for free after I’ve already done it? PLUS I’ve upgraded to the “Plus” subscription. What does that exactly do for me? I don’t see a difference because I still see ads and I can’t get anything on-demand...why bother even calling it an upgrade. You just want the money.
Great but regularly pauses for no reason. 3/5
By Mushy B
Great app, has goos intuition for music selections.
Only downside is that I regularly have to press play because it pauses randomly.
Been using since 2010 5/5
I did the small upgrade and enjoy music without commercials and can skip through multiple genres. I add a lot of different music to my "favorites mashup" station so when I'm in the mood, all my favorites play. Great for working out (dub step, etc) or working (chill or electronic) or or meditating (new age and chill) or when I'm just jamming to the hits. The station gets better and better! Keep it up
Great app 5/5
I love it
Broke CarPlay! 1/5
This latest update has no CarPlay support. Previous version worked great.
Carplay gone 2/5
Carplay is now gone, need to bring it back.
Used to be good 1/5
I used to Love this app but now it pauses itself constantly or tries to play an ad that won’t load. Needs constant attention. Free version not worth dealing with, pay version doesn't have enough appeal.
Not showing on CarPlay after most recent update. 4/5
By Outlaw Hauling
No longer shows up on CarPlay after recent update. But works better besides that.
Slacker Radio 5/5
Great app, great selection and price! 3/5
Love the app and the music selection and the price is very comfortable for most people like me. Just noticed that the CarPlay app disappeared. Please bring it back hence the reason for giving 3 stars... hope this was an oversight and that the CarPlay app will return soon and will update the rating then. Thanks and keep up the great work you are all doing.
CarPlay! Finally! 1/5
What the hell just happened? Software update removed CarPlay support!
Company is DOA 1/5
By Hooper aka smokey
Went to subscribe only to find out they killed offline caching for plus subscribers. What a scam. Literally no other reason for their existence.
Latest Update 1/5
I am not sure what is going on. The update description is either a bad rap or someone should be replaced as the update notes writer.
I would really like to know what they are doing to make the application better instead of wasting everyone’s time writing and then reading their rap.
Disappointed in Slacker 2/5
I like the music lineup here better than others but it's not worth it to listen to it when the music stops playing every few seconds. Then when I go to hit play again music will continue to stop. It's not worth it to have this app on my phone taking up space if I never know when it will consistently play music. I'm looking for a new music app now... getting ready to shut this one down.
New Review 4/5
The app works really well on my iPhone and offline. I think $3.99 is a good value considering that it offers unlimited skips and no ads plus offline listening, I left Pandora for Slacker and use it in addition to my Apple Music account. I like the ABC news breaks and some of the DJs are amusing but I question their musical background; one of them introduced a Beach Boys song and called “Surfin’ USA” “Let’s Go Surfin’ Now.” One of them was talking about a Harry Nilsson cover of “One,” calling it his best original song, I think they all must be in their 20s or 30s. Regardless, there seems to be good variety and they play more deep cuts than Pandora without as much repetition. I wish that when I chose an artist I could hear that artist instead of everyone else.
Hate the DJ’s and their stupid personal comments 2/5

Hate the DJ’s and their stupid personal comments
Great app 5/5
Love the selection of country oldies
Love Slacker I listen to all types of music . Great service.
Step y’all game up!! 1/5
This app doesn’t play the songs that you want to hear by the artist. And you hear other artists more than you hear the actual artist channel that you’re listening to. 🤦🏾♂️ Downloading Pandora.
My friend told me to download it to customiz staions and what not an this app stops by itself d pauses music over agin and again so fkkn irritating fix it!!!!!
Been using slacker since the beginning 5/5
Slacker beats every other web-based music program hands-down I'm 40 years old and I'm not the biggest web based music lover I love my CDs however the quality from slacker is hands-down better than any other program available
Just an ad service 1/5
Every time I fire up this app all I get are ads. I usually get 2 ads for every song. I understand that free services need a way of income such as ads but slacker goes way overboard when it comes to this. I thought I was streaming music, not an ad service
Security Checks ☹️ 2/5
I like the app but I keep get in repeating security checks. I’ll pass it but get another one 5 seconds later. HELP!
Apple Watch 1/5
Just bought my first Apple Watch and was highly disappointed to find out there is not a Slacker app so I can listen to my offline playlist. Now I'm thinking about switching to the Apple Music just so I can listen to music off my watch. Please look into this.
Makes it easy to listen to what you want to 5/5
I used to love it 5/5
I had to delete the app because every time I would try to play a song . The song would stop on it’s own and when I hit play it would play for about 8 to 10 sec. then stop playing. Then when I tried your support they emailed me and told me to play with my settings. I did didn’t work so I emailed back and they closed my case saying it’s fixed when it isn’t. So delete but you need to fix this till then I’m going to an other music app
Buggy app. Great music. Still my favorite. 4/5
By Kurt's Krap
As a music service Slacker blows its radio like competitors out of the water. Pandora and Sirius XM don't come close to the variety and programming on offer. Stations can be customized with DJs, news and sports. For less than $4 a month you can get rid of the ads. And if you're willing to pay the $10 for premium you can get something comparable to Apple or Spotify.
The app though is still glitchy after all these years. Songs randomly won't play or skip ahead. Sometimes the app just crashes.
If Slacker can fix the app this is worth five stars.
I've used Slacker for many, many years now. If fact, I don't think they had ads for freeloaders like myself when I first started. I just listen to 'Golden Oldies', Folk and Folk-rock. Don't buy or download misic. I don't even have a lot of lists. I can't afford a monthly bill to just play music. I've tried Pand..... and other internet music apps but I've always returned to Slacker. The ads aren't bad. Hay, what do you want for free and it's better than the radio. If I could pay for music, it definitely would be Slacker.
No more 2/5
Been using this app for years as a payed member. This app needs work, not just on a smart phone either. Across all platforms. If you have sprint, look into getting the 6 months of Tidal for free.
Slacker Station 5/5
Love it,it’s nice that it does not have a lot of commercial breaks, highly recommend !!!
Works well 4/5
Barely crashes. Good stations. Worth the money!
LOVE THIS APP BUT... 3/5
By Ashton 12345678910
This is one of my favorite music apps but it needs to update with more songs faster like Spotify
Free offline radio streaming 4/5
I love it but I remember when Slacker used to let us download offline radio for free.what happened to that and why? Would be great if that came back because that’s something that i need and loved when I’m in school and my school WiFi is so weak it can’t pick up Slacker
Problems you might need to look into 4/5
It keeps crashing and playing two songs over each other when I switch stations
Excellent music app 5/5
I absolutely love slacker. I particularly like how you can personalize your music by compiling all of your favorites into one station. Excellent music app. Definitely recommend.
Need iwatch control! 4/5
Most other music service stops provide iWatch control of the app. Hopefully slacker will offer iWatch app functionality soon!
Best music app around 5/5
The stations are great. They play the obscure, deep tracks no other app will ever offer up.
Good app but crashes often. 2/5
I've been using this app for years and have never had an app crash as much as this one does.
