This app is great and affordable considering all the perks it comes with. I’m a massage therapist and My only worry is that i can’t edit one appointment in a series without changing all of them. I can cancel one appointment in a series but not edit and sometimes the appointment disappears completely without me canceling it. This makes me nervous.
Glitchy and bad customer service 1/5
So my first contact started with this app on February 9th. It took a full week after I logged on to my account and filed my complaint with the technical issues I having to receive a response and ultimately that was to refer the problem to an engineer. Now here we are another full week later with no update and still having the same problems. The function of the calendar itself is great it’s ease of use for my clients is wonderful. I could change my rating even with the aggravation of of the glitches but the slow response time and the difficulty I have had dealing with the customer service end of things makes that impossible.

I honestly love how well your team has built this app. I really wish though square could also make it a feature that is more helpful for private car service. All the booking and taking payments are great. I wish when my clients booked or I booked for my clients there is a location where they can write where they want to get picked up or dropped off. Would be nice to have a software that can track payments by miles, minutes and hours too. I just feel like the software could be so much more than just retail or food\beverage focused. I know so many car service owners that also use square and this is one topic we always talk about. It would be great to hear from the team. Keep up the good work though, Square team!

I have been using this app for about 2 years. I love it takes some of the stress off of me when making appointments. It is very simple for some of my clients but others seem to make it hard. It’s self sufficient in so many ways!! So my only issue is I had to go in and merge some clients names because every time they go in to schedule they have to put all their info in again. Some seem to change up their name or shorten it to cut time. I wish they could have their own username or the system automatically picks up their name when they go in and schedule again. For as the price it is very affordable and half of the time I don’t know when it’s comes out. Thank you for this convenient tool.

I’ve tried several apps and have recently come back to Square. This makes it very easy to integrate the POS at checkout. I don’t have to leave the app and open another to check out.

I love this app! The calendar is so simple to use and see my tasks for the day, week, or month. I love that I can keep client notes in their profile, set up new and recurring appointments, and checkout after each visit.
I don’t mind that it costs $30 a month when my clients don’t have a chance to forget an appointment!
Newest update won’t load 2/5
The latest update won’t open the app. It just gives the spinny circle of death and says loading calendar. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and no dice. I’ve battled with square for years and I think it’s time to look at other options. Great idea, poor execution. And costly for the lack of performance.

The app is literally changed my business around, it does all my clients appointment next day reminders for me. It sends texts and send emails. It sends them at a time when people most likely would forget they Pre-booked, so my business has increased and my revenue has increased.

only thing ::: i’ve noticed since the new update the checkout button lags, it’ll let me click anywhere on the screen and it’ll go right away , but with the check out button i’ll have to click it 5 times before it actually does something. which used to not ever be a problem with laggin pls fix

I been using square for years and was excited to use it for my appointments. Im a very busy hairstylist , think it’s a great price for all the features. I use it to book all my appointments online. It was easy to integrate with my website.

Loving the app so far. Only problem I’ve encountered is that it has somehow double booked my clients. Thankfully I check my schedule all the time and I caught it. I have my services set up for specific amounts of time and have even blocked extra time, but it somehow double booked and triple booked. I do wish the POS and appointment app were synchronized with all the same information. Other than that, so far so good.

I downloaded the app yesterday and have been trying to save appointments but it won’t let me. Is it because I am within the trial period?? How am I supposed to try it if I can’t actually be allowed to use the features I need to see how it runs with my business in order to determine if I will keep it

I have had so many issues with being able to log in my app. I have been looked out for 5 days now and have only heard from the square twice each time saying pretty much the same thing. It’s an expensive app in the first place $30 a month is not cheap for a one man shop. Then to top it off I barely get to use the app because there is some glitch.

Love this app helps with all my appointments and love that all my clients get their reminders every time. Just wish you had it for Samsung (android) phones already, don’t understand why it’s not already done, not everyone has a iPhone. I am changing to a Samsung soon.

A little expensive for small businesses.... but it’s a great app. Although I don’t understand why I can’t get my square POS app and appointment app to sync (I had to add the services into the appointment app which was very frustrating and time consuming since I’ve already done it on the register app)but t had to be done In order to schedule anything and then I ended up with 2 of every item in the POS App from me adding it to the appointment app and it won’t let me delete the doubles 🙄 id give it 4 starts otherwise
I got the square for my massage business and after getting it downloaded on the android and loving it I put it on my IPad for when I’m at work. Now that Appointments is available I love it as well, BUT I can’t get it on my android so now I have to carry my IPad or IPod with me at all times Incase someone calls to make an appointment. Very inconvenient. If an android app isn’t going to be available any time soon I will be getting rid of square all together. Hope it becomes available soon!

Great idea but needs a ton of work to get right. No Android app and very limited. If Square took example from Setmore or Appointfix then it would be on point and worth buying. Until then, sorry Square.

I love love LOVE this app! Square Appointments keeps my clients and myself on schedule. It saves me a load of time in my mornings and my evenings with its automatic text and email reminders! I don’t have to spend my time on the phone and my clients get a hard copy appointment reminder right on their hand held device!! BRILLIANT! Thanks Square!

This is THE BEST app you can subscribe to. It is completely customizable, beautiful layout, awesome text and email confirmations, easy functional and prices just right. It IS AFFORDABLE! You can’t get this level of service for only $30. a month. There are so many options and everything is so reachable. Integrated with square credit card processing now too! You can’t get a better combined service. And NO ONE does easy business loans like square. Because I have square credit card processing and appointments, they offer business loans based on your income. It is literally in your bank in 1 day and they take 13% of sales to pay back your loan for you. Flat fee. You really won’t find this level of service and skill anywhere else.

This app is amazing I’ve used for my personal business for a while and I love it I just wish it wasn’t so expensive. I ended up canceling my service online because $30 a month is a lot for a booking service for just a small personal business but other than that I loved it!

I loved the Appointments App before the newest update! I was able to turn my phone sideways and see a view of every employees schedule to easily and efficiently book clients while on-the-go! Now I have to view each employees schedule separately which wastes tons of time! I also have employees that work together on projects so it was way better to see their schedules side by side! I’ve talked to customer service about this issue and they were no help! I don’t understand how you can take away a vital feature and call it an update! Every other “added feature” has been useless, there was no real issue with the app before this latest update!

So far the app is great. I do think it’s a bit high priced but I like the features. I would like to able to customize appointment colors to allow me to see what is on my schedule just by glancing at it. Also, if there could be the ability to have repeating personal events instead of just appointments that would be helpful. Another helpful thing would be the ability to combine multiple clients at checkout. I often have parents with kids that are all getting services and I have to ring them all separately.

Like many on here, I loved the features the app offered. BUT, I what dropped the ultimate axe for me was the cost. I’ma student and my small business cannot afford the monthly expense. There are other apps I use, and hopefully the developers will reduce the costs to make it affordable for non-royalty.

Have had this app for about 4 months now I had tons of problems from the beginning the app has given me so many issues when it comes to booking appointments. Times that were actually available would appear as if they weren’t. Dates will disappear of the Calendar randomly as if my artist were fully booked for the day and they weren’t. People would try to book times that I know were open and couldn’t. This app has been very I convenient for me and I have lost business because of the app. Called customer service multiple times and they had no fix for it they didn’t know why this was happening. So I’m taking huge consideration to cancel!

Love the mobile app. Much quicker for responses, but they're missing the 'Business Hours' setting. I need to change my hours up for each week, since I'm an on the go Barber. Please implement this option because it's a necessity.

I love everything about Square Appointments but this recent update was a step back and very inefficient.
Before I could turn my phone landscape and view ALL of my employees schedules side by side. This is no longer an option and is wasting a ton of time when trying to quickly view availability while on the phone with potential clients.

I started using this appointment app in September and it worked great up until a couple days ago. Now that I’m being charged $30 a month it quits letting me open the app on my phone... I have had my 2 tech guys work on it . Uninstalled, re-installed, shut down phone , restarted phone , updated phone..... NOTHING!!!!! I can’t open it at all !!! Someone needs to tell what’s going on before I dump the whole thing and find another booking system! I have a business to run and I need my phone app!!
Make it more like $10 a month and I’m sure you’ll get many customers

I can never pull this app up anymore. It continually goes back to the home screen. Super annoying considering how much it costs per month! I have to go to square.com and sign in to access my appts. I'm not keeping it much longer if it doesn't get fixed!

Square was totally unresponsive to my recent request for help. I cannot remove the option for our clients to book our services off-location or at their own homes. This could be disastrous for our reputation and schedule and I have had no Response whatsoever from your company. Will be finding another scheduling service as quickly as possible.

Wish I was able to confirm cc on my end as is with card hold option when customers go online and book themselves. Some may Insist in booking directly with me, so to avoid card hold option with booking themselves online.
Also would like to have them be able to pay with card being held if they so choose to.
Lastly I would like a unique url to give out for website link, (comparing to styleseat). To many characters to say when someone inquires about my booking website. I will need to copy and paste to forward it along! Otherwise. I like how clean and simple booking for customer is.
Overall it has been a reliable appointment scheduling service. Since I do use Square POS. I’m pleased with the two of them.
Glitch and no help 1/5
I love the app and the service but two days ago the app started glitching on me. It crashes every time I try and schedule an appointment and so far I haven’t gotten any help from square. I already did everything in my phone that I am supposed to do and it is still doing it. I might have to cancel my meme Bershka if I can’t use it.

I've been using square and loved it until the recent update. I pay $50 a month for square appointments and I also use there point of sale system. I use the appointments app to have my employees schedule their own appointments and now unless they have access to the pos they can not log in. Giving them access gives them access to what the other employees are making. Now everyone can see all transactions rung out on the main pos on their phones. My employees hate it... WHY CANT WE JUST ACCESS THE APPOINTMENTS LIKE BEFORE THIS UDATE IS HORRIBLE.

Love how my clients get updates when they have appointments and all the options to keep them coming back. Recently its been not connecting with the square stand I never had this issue until the past month. Also i wish there was a way to combine sales between two employees for one transaction instead of having to do multiple transactions. Great app just needs some tweaks!
I used to love this app until the latest update. I can no longer access my clients past appointments. Why would you eliminate data we have already keyed in. Obviously we are using a mobile device for our clients why on earth would I take time out of my schedule to log onto the dashboard. I could pop into a supply house and pick up a past color request for a client but no more. All the changes are making me seriously consider switching to another booking system that doesn’t charge.
