This company is a sham. If you look online. Small business owners get screwed daily. My first transaction they deactivated my account and then held 3k for 90 days. Made it a nightmare.
There is no PHONE SUPPORT & customer service is a robot. Find another company.

I love this POS more than my kids.
Idk what's up with the latest update, but now the app won't log into my account. I use an older iPad and every time I try to login the app shuts down. My iPad is my main source for receiving credit card transactions, and now I'm using my phone which does not look professional in a retail store :-(

I love square but the wireless chip reader takes way too long to establish a connection each time you need to use it. I’m extremely disappointed a company so dependent on the mobile application platform has not optimized their application for the screen on the iPhone X

I’m disappointed that I can’t see my employees timecards. I can’t see them on this app or the square dashboard app. First of all, there should be ONE app that shows you everything you can see when logged in online. Secondly, even if you break it up unnecessarily into multiple apps, at least l have them add up to equal what is available when you log in online.

Have been using Square Register for several months now. No problems at all. Easy to use, easy to set up, funds are deposited the next day. Can't wait for future updates so its even better, like using ApplePay and more. Wish I switched to Square way before I did. Thanks Square.

Beware... there is zero customer service. You will not be able to speak to a live human being. All requests for service or a callback have been ignored. I sent messages starting Sunday.... it’s Friday now. I deeply regret having started using Point of Sale. How do you people run a business like this?!?!?’

It’s been about three years since I excepted credit cards. The last device I used was pogo through provident bank. Which did not work out at all. The Device made an error and it was fixed but I lost $700 in the process due to processing fees but they refused to refund me. The problem is there’s too many hands involved and they have you on the phone going in circles. The evil leader being First Data they just kept eating money out of my account and I was helpless and could not stop it. So This left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. But after working for a few years I started to lose customers because I did not except credit card so I decided if square a chance. And I started taking credit cards. I have processed roughly $11,000 in three days for deposits on jobs and some payments. I was watching my account getting ready for to be deposited. After three days nothing. Did not realize that square tried to contact me because of the large amount of transactions and they put a hold on my account. I thought to myself here we go again. They requested a list of documents and proof of identity. I thought it would take weeks for them to process it. By 12 o’clock the next day they processed it and released the funds. That impressed me. And ever since it has been great. Money is quick about 12-24 hours. So give them a shot. They deserve it.

Ive been using Square App for 5 months daily. Absolutely LOVE it. Keeps great track of my customers, their purchases, east returns & invoices. All Good. Only suggestion is to please add details in the app for loyalty & marketing info. Keep up the good work

In my opinion, the System is very good, transactions are very fast and my readers have never failed. I personally have saved more than $ 5,000 a year with this system, I would not change this system for any other. Even they even lend you money according to the volume of your sales. In less than 2 years I can already borrow
$15,000 with them at a very low interest rate. It is much faster than any Wireless system of any bank since you do not have to wait for it to connect and disconnect like the wirelless systems and analog antennas in which these banks operate. I love this App !!!

They sign you up, tell you to start taking payments and few days later they send you an email that they cant support your business, on top i have to wait 90 days for them to give me all the money. Call them and they block your number and its no way to talk to someone.
I had read the reviews first and tried to give them a chance. But !! Obviously I need to write a horrible review to get a response probably ! They shut down my account with over 1000 $ waiting which totally screwed me!! Then I was like ok whatever I’ll just wait until they aren’t holding them anymore no big deal, but then my husbands account got deactivated also !! Now they are holding our funds , even when we provided proof of everything. They’re were no chargebacks at all. And no disputes. No real reason. Nothing. I don’t understand. It seems as if they do this to a lot of people

Three months in, and still no support for the iPhone X 3/5
The iPhone X has been publicly available for more than 3 months now. The proper development environment has been available for more than half a year. And yet, this app still does not support the X’s full screen. Rather ridiculous for a company of Square’s size and funding. This is their core app, mind you.
application to accept cards with Square was not approved without Reason! 1/5
I’m living in Pensacola and came to visit New Orlean. And tried to create square account. I’m Add all information SSN number, bank account and etc. But with out reason they (my last application to accept cards with Square was not approved, and I can’t offer any additional chances to apply. Because Square offers a limited number of application attempts, this decision is final.)
When I call they don’t wanna speak with me and don’t wanna explain what happen. I want figured out but they don’t have me a chance!
But technical support or another support need special code if you want to speak with them. But I can’t to get this code because my account not approved or accepted. Bad customer service and nobody don’t want to help you

I got Square to use for my hospitality business I charge my clients the next hour or so got an email saying my account got closed and the charges I made where going to be held by square for 90 days up to 120 days . Please make sure you call Square customer make sure to have Costuner number that they provide otherwise there’s no way to reach anyone through phone .
Once they close your account they will not answer your phone calls I had to do a new account to get a new costumer number so I can call and talk to human being regarding my refund, Just saw inconvenience if you’re busy with life to deal with this so I rate them one star .

I’m new to using square . And everytime I call support to ask something , 1. They sound like they are sleepy , like I’m not even exaggerating here both the time I called both females were like aaamm, oh ok and sounded sleepy . 2. Non on of the time it seemed they cared for me to be their customer . Didn’t answer my questions as if she didn’t knew them self .

Squire took my money and refuses to reply to any emails because they refuse to let me call them I have waited for over 90 days for them to release my money but now they are not replying to anything !!!!!!!!! If you want a credit card reader for your company stay away from squire get PayPal here they do not steal peoples money!!!!!!!!!!

This thing is one problem and annoyance after the other. Everything is considered “suspicious activity” apparently so MULTIPLE times when I was counting on doing a direct deposit after cleaning a Clients home( I do house cleaning), I would get a message saying that my account was under review that they periodically check accounts to make sure everything is being used right.
Well first of all that’s crap bc my account had that message like 4 times within 3 months. I switched to PayPal recently and OMG I wish I had done it sooner and in the first place. So many more options and easier to navigate their app.
Also Square’s customer service is huge JOKE. Well actually it’s nonexistent except for the forums where you are asking other users of the apps for help. After charging you’re an arm and a leg out of every transaction you would think they could afford to hire some better/more customer service people. I deleted the app uh permanently and my life got a little better

As of this latest update even today, this application is STILL not even optimized for iPhone X, that is just pure craziness. Square is still not compatible with the one page optimize check out for BigCommerce customers as well. Square needs a new IT department immediately!

Warning! Do not use them for any transactions. My charge went through, then Square refuses to deposit funds after customer already left with product! This is enough reason to avoid them. But on top of that, they have no customer service (literally) so now I am forced to try to hunt down a customer to try to get them to submit some other form of payment days later!!! Furious. Never more disappointed in an app or company.

I call customer service and he need me to send clip delete app square point sale and reinstall I did send to them nothing happened nobody contact back

I don’t know why but every time I open the app, it automatically closes by itself. I’ve tried deleting and downloading the app several times, I’ve also turned off the phone and I’ve done the latest iOS update.
I had the app last year and it worked great. Then i lost the reader and ordered a new one, but no luck so far trying to connect it.

i love the app so far. but it would be much more lovely it was fully compatible with iPhone X. i mean the full screen. it’s a little bit difficult for me to see the black lines on iPhone X. i am a person who do online business and this is perfect but please make the screen fully compatible with iPhone X that would be lovely. other Have a nice day great app, i use it everyday 5 star from me guys. 👌🏽

I have a small business and overall I am very happy with the simplicity of Square. One feature I would love to see added is the ability to add a customer to a sale after I have done another transaction. I know they keep the option open at the “All Done” screen, but sometimes I have to exit before I can add customer information. I would love to be able to add customers to the sale at the end of the day to save time. Adding customers and seeing the analytics is one of the most important features for me.
Another feature I would love is the ability to edit the date for a transaction. When I get cash I don’t always remember to add it in the app. A day or two later I go to add it and it counts for sales the same day.
I had been with square for a year and then they stole 1000 dollars from me they won’t deposit them to my account
