It takes FOREVER for the funds to become available to deposit into my bank. I've been waiting a week tomorrow, not counting the weekend, and still nothing. I'm not going to wait a week every time I use this thing so I'm signing up for propay today. 👎🏽✌🏽

I used this app for 6 months now,
they deactivated my account all of sudden, and hold my money for 90 days,
They said my pattern of transactions are high risk activity,They didn't even explain to me well why they think that way,
If I can't use this app anymore, why they hold my money for?
Did I committed something? Why they treat me I did something wrong? Square makes me feel bad they unilaterally notify me they're gonna deactivate my account,
They holding my money that makes me feel worse,

Love using the square for my business but can you make it easier to search a transaction? There are times I need to look at a certain date and time and I have to scroll through all the days to get to it. The dashboard app does not do the individual transactions for time and date. In the transaction tab I want to be able to search a date. I don't always have the card or transaction number.
iOS 11 public beats 2 functionality 1/5
App immediately crashes upon launch. I understand the caveat for beta and public beta software. Just seems that of most forward popular developers this would have worked out of the box. Any updates on when we will see compatibility?

I have the square stand with an iPad Air 2. Accepts Apple Pay chip cards directly connected plus a printer connected by USB. For some reason it will restring after the customer signs and turn it back to me. Please help

Terrible service. Was declined several transactions. Can't get in touch with customer support to get an explanation. Received very little help, and only in the form of automated nonsensical emails which fail to address WHAT the problems are or WHY they're a problem. Possibly the worst customer service of any program I've ever been a part of.

STAY AWAY!!! Nothing but problems from day one. We run a retail sports store and not only is squares "customer service" virtually non-existent.. (no phone number) they will randomly cut you off without warning, for reasons they will not disclose. On top of that, they have been holding over $2000 worth of funds over our heads for 180 days, and say the only way to get the money is to wait or refund all Of the charges! So we are supposed to let $2000 worth of sales walk out the door for free?? They will be the DEATH of your small business.

No different than payday loan interest. They say you have 18 months to pay it back, but when it's only going to take 7, you are still charged the same amount. At least 40%. There should be a criminal investigation. You are not allowed to modify to make it to 18 months. Your better off going to loan shark. Now I see Square as a predatory company and I will move my card processing and square appointments to a new system so they don't steal any more. You have stolen enough.
New info 6/30. After contacting them like they asked after the original review, they said they would have someone higher up look at it. 2 weeks later with no response.

I like this app but you should be able to cancel transactions that were mistakes. Also you should be able to take partial payments when taking a payment from the invoice screen. When you take a payment from an invoice, another invoice should be sent to the customer for the remaining balance.

Please be wary of selecting Square for your company's business transactions. Money consistently does not show up and they will try at every turn not to pay you. Currently experiencing the biggest headache simply getting my own money. Please do not make the mistake that myself and so many others have. Take time to research reputable transaction companies so you can have smooth financial dealings with your business. Worst business choice to date was going with Square before reading other's reviews.

I used the app for eight years and never had a problem. But the moment I did have a problem I realized how terrible this company's customer service was. They have thousands of my dollars they have no direct customer service link. I went to my bank and they said they regularly have 10 day wait. They've been messaging me and are almost mocking my problem. You may want to stay away from these thieving people as convenient as it maybe it will burn you on the backside. It may be the worst customer service experience I've ever hard. I suppose if you're going to trust people with your bank information and your money you should better check and see if they have customer support available. Be very careful.
Update: after they blocked me on Facebook while attempting to Facebook them for help. The developer contacted me almost 2 weeks later. Of course they didn't even address my issues. Just gave me another email address. Obviously just not even in touch with the issues the customers might have. Pretty much the worst customer service ever. Since having my issues I have investigated other companies, there are a lot of good ones. I won't name but if you're even considering these guys you should investigate your other options. I have never regretted a business relationship worse. Based on the other issues I've read on the Internet people are getting a clue as to how terrible this company is. They won't be able to treat people like this much longer, I don't see how they can stay in business. But if you choose to use them as your provider they may end up putting you out of business.

I have used this app for a few years. I have liked most of the updates over that time. This app is great for everything I need to do to run my business at different shows and fairs. I only gave it 4 stars because I like the Android version much better than the Apple version.

I thought Square is just a little card reader, but it turns out much more than that. It provides me with the whole infrastructure that I don't have to write down anything, including sales records , inventory, staff management or CRM.
The thing I love the most is the instance deposit. Get the money when I need it. Works like a charm!

I love square for my small business & have used it for years. I've never had any issues with this app. The only thing I would LOVE to be added as a feature to the free online store would be to make the discounts/coupon codes more customizable (like being able to create a code that only discounts certain items). Not being able to do an online sale without putting everything in my store on sale is frustrating.

I spent a lot of time deciding on my POS because am wanting to expand my business to multiple locations/staff/timecards/etc. I Love Square, one of my best decisions. Between it and their appointments to keep track of client services, ease of use with the product, all in one, works on Apple and Android, great customer support, am super impressed with the company, product, and app.
I signed up, and it immediately decided to review my account. I stopped using for months and came back to use it again... Only to have them demand info. After going through their crap they deactivated me for "a pattern of transactions associated with high-risk activity". HOW WAS THERE A PATTERN WHEN I HAD USED IT ONCE. Oh and they state it is final, irreversible and they cannot provide extra details. Do not bother with this crappy company.

They don't protect you, they approve transactions and then open a bunch of disputes that you always loose!
They take back money from yours bank account without asking before, they put you in hold for 30/40 minutes when you call them.
They let me loose more than 4 thousand dollars in 10 months!

This is a great app and service. Much more honest and fair than the "bank" processors. I have a retail shop and have used several other "bank" processors. They are dishonest, expensive, hit you with tons of extra, hidden charges, and are slow to give you your money. Square is honest and fair, great for small shops and I always get my money the next business day. I wouldn't put a lot of stock in the bad reviews, I have used Square for multiple years and had zero problems. If your a big company with lots of transactions you can probably negotiate better rates with a bank, but Square is great for small to midsize companies. The mobility option is great, I have used it even though I have a brick and mortar.

I've been using square with square stand for over a year and love it. As of now when customers try to input tip and hit enter it won't accept it. The customer gets the tip screen again and hits enter then it will go through. Please update square app for apple iPad Air. I've uninstalled and talked with tech support/engineers and no fix. This is a burden on my customers and my business.

Never use Square for retail stores.
Because they never protect retail transactions once a fraud dispute happen.
I lost over $4000 on couple disputes and I provided everything evidence to prove we are a real store sold items to customers and they paid online through Square. But over 6 months waiting, the money still gone. SQUARE can do nothing to protect their retail business users.
That's a huge bug you need to fix your online payment system to better secure transactions and to verify the online customers' identify match their credit cards. We are just retail store, we trust Square, we take payment and ship out items. But we lost a lot money on fraud transactions. You should do something to protect your users.

This service and app is terrible I didn't receive any money not even the one dollar and they took all of their transaction processing fees there is no way to get ahold of them and they do not respond to emails do not give info to these scammers

I'm a private Duty Nurse and have private clients come from all over the world.. I changed 1000.00 the first time one day the I had another client 375.00 and then another client 500.00 All credit cards on hand in front of my clients... with their signature to sign, Square deactivated my account and holding my money for 90 Days.... And there calling it fraud, but neither one of my clients reported anything. I live I'm Miami Florida never never use these ppl and also you can't speak to anyone at all only email ......I'm a single parent with 5 kids to support...I have a iPhone 7+ .....

I love using the Square app for my business. Easy to use and tracks what all I have sold so that I can see what is a big hit with my customers.
I do wish that I could have a custom default message for invoices like when on a computer. As well as the invoice number would just continue to the next number; like it does on the computer. I'm not always available to use my computer when sending out invoices.

Used square all the time as a mobile massage therapist. I recently stopped using it as the device isn't 7+ compatible and I refuse to pay 40+$ for a chip dip standard device when the device comes free by default when you start an account with square... this is stupid . Quick books is better .
Square is gonna F**** you up, hold your money, call you a thief, charge the fees from your bank account even if they don't release your money, is gonna descriminante you and not give you a phone number to call! I don't know how a company like this still doing business like that!

My boys, age 10 and 12, downloaded this app for their summer drink stand. After they had me hook it up to a checking account I noticed deposits coming in daily. I ask them to show me what they had done. I was blown away. They took pictures of all their drinks and snacks, priced them and could ring up and refund card transactions. It kept track of their inventory and gave them intraday reports. Amazing, if they can do it, so can you. Never had a single problem. They have used it for 3 summers.

I've been through both verification processes, waited two full business days and I still have no means of receiving the money I've had deposited into my square account. If not resolved soon, my lawyer is going to have a field day.
