  • I should have looked into this before getting... 3/5

    By Nyancat57341
The texting is great, but the phone part is pretty much useless. The reception is bad, and I can't talk for more than a minute. Also all my calls count as a minute even if they're only a few seconds. Another bad part is that u can't send pics. Overall it's an ok app but it needs some serious modifications
  • Awesomeness 5/5

    By Asboooooooo
The app is good for texting individuals that you do not want to provide your number two it does just that
  • Worked great at first, now not so much 1/5

    By AuntBeBe
Can't answer incoming calls and when I call out the other person can't hear me so basically this app is STRICTLY for texting purposes and nothing else. I can't even listen to an audio message.
  • It's ok I guess 5/5

    By Kkkkklkit
It lets me contact my boyfriend so it's great
  • Hello 3/5

What's up!! I've read some comments below and laughed because most of the reviews were true, such as hitting the ad button constantly after trying to text. Anyways the app is decent and saves you cash. I DON'T like the fact that everytime I hit the left circle button by accident and it calls whoever your trying to text! I always have to text and say sorry I accidentally called! It's embarrassing. Why does the left button calls immediately? I was just trying to text.
  • Best App 5/5

  • Texting good calling not so much 4/5

    By Courtney Rieger
Texting is good because u can text no problem but, calling isn't good I have a iPod touch and u have togo into the app and wait till it loads in then you have to call them back but, you can change the background and choose your own ringtones so that's why I gave it four stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Very Disappointing! 1/5

    By Reese Spears
It would not let me receive more minutes after I watched videos and paid. It is a waist of time and money.
  • Always room for improvement 3/5

    By Kplan23
I've used TextFree and many previous Pinger apps primarily for texting over 5 years. It's had major problems in the past, but now works flawlessly over all platforms. Ad is too close to Send button and I'm constantly hitting it. They need to add multiple deletions. One at a time is ridiculous. I do miss the delivery confirmation to other Pinger users that was included in previous apps. Stickers are to small when choosing and poorly categorized. Most are fairly generic. Not worth the effort. Calls are hit and miss. Bad connections, echoes etc. Customer service has always been poor. You're lucky to get a response. You get canned answers that make you wonder if a human read your question. When you choose the option of having text sent to email you're lucky to get one or two words most of the time. It's rather useless. I miss the personalized backgrounds from Pinger EX.

Dude you can't even sign up. Straight bull---- don't waste your time or patience
  • Terrible service/speed 1/5

    By Diana Burnwood
Their servers are very slow and will sometimes send multiple messages repeatedly to the recipients of a group chat over the course of an hour. Thus my responses are always out of order and it looks so weird that I would reference something that was talked about a while ago.
  • Popups! 1/5

    By Shubb26
What's with all these d**n popups! I can't even text anymore... just pop up after pop up! I hope y'all fix this crap...
  • Good app but. 3/5

    By Flashlm7
I like this app but i would love the videos to be in a better quality image and to be able to customize the text color those changes would make of this app a 100% amazing, thanks for reading and listening!
  • Best phone app I've used 5/5

    By Dr.J and the Bling
Works exactly like a real phone and if there's a problem they're very quick for helping. I'd recommend the app

    Very good app
  • Great but there are some bugs to be fixed 3/5

    By isTriston
I utilize the app quite often for business. My initial issue is just the "paste" feature when I copy and paste my messages out to customers. I have a large number of people to contact and I use this app to send messages to all of them. Pasting my copied paragraph is a pain when I go to paste something and the paste button disappears. It may seem nitpicky of me to say so but I text hundreds of people a day. Would love the fluidity of the paste option fixed is all.

  • Great app 5/5

Love the app! The process of sending pics isn't like every other app. It's normal like a real phone number! Videos could be better tho

Pinger App: BEST CHOICE You can even have read receipt options if the person you're texting is also on pinger. The privacy is nice and there are so many free FUNCTIONAL features.
  • Overall Awesome, but please make some improvements 5/5

    By EpicSacksGuy777
While giving permission for this app to access your iOS contacts, if you've deleted multiple phone numbers from your iOS contacts and if they call or text your TextFree number, then the recently deleted phone numbers from your iOS contacts should display their own respective phone number in the forms of calling notifications and push notifications rather than the previous name of the contacts being shown. So far, this hasn't been done for the TextFree app. I've had to manually create them as replacement contacts by putting in each phone number as the first name and in the phone number section of the iOS contact. After doing that, it works. But please make the improvement where if a phone number from the iOS contacts book is deleted, that it displays its own number from the TextFree app, not the name of the already deleted contact. Also, please make the TextFree app have its own built-in app contacts book as an alternative to the iOS contacts book as well as the option of buying disposable numbers that last 7, 30, 60, 90, or 365 days with a fixed amount of minutes and texts. For a user's primary TextFree number, if a user wants to change their number early and/or port it over to another service provider, consider having them pay a one-time fee. Please allow users to delete group chats or recently contacted numbers that aren't in contacts. Please allow compatibility for premium numbers as in allowing a user to send and receive messages as in those from Macy's, Nordstrom, Facebook, Twitter, Google, and etc. Please also allow a user to reject unknown caller ID. Have you thought of adding call forwarding to all of your apps? What about the option of allowing users to use caller ID blocking? How about unlocking the app using a customized passcode or a Touch ID? How about allowing a user to select a new number by area code or zip code when a number expires? This feature's currently available in Sideline and I'd like to see it in TextFree.
  • Terrible 1/5

    By Klee2104
Glitches and goes to text App Store to get you to download games while your in the middle of texts
  • Used to be great now not so much 1/5

    By JattonC25
This app used to be good before all the updates to it, now I can't even use the app without an ad popping up every time I want to use it and I have to close the entire app and then reopen it in order to use it properly. It's a huge hassle now I'm going to have to end up deleting it if it's not fixed soon
  • Calls don't work 1/5

    By Mjrestiano 1
The texting works okay, not great but when the phone rings and I answer it goes to the screen for me to place calls. I literally always miss my calls. You guys need to fix this problem or you're in danger of bad reviews on other websites and prompt deletion of this app.
  • So Annoying 1/5

  • Goods and bads😍😟😕🙁☹️ 3/5

    By Art Girl💎💍🍉
I have used this app for long time bc I have an iPod so I cannot text people without apple devices on iMessage. I have enjoyed this app but there are some bad things about it. With every update there are more adds in new places!! Now they are between the keyboard and the send button!! Also I wish you could customize the app more. You could choose what colors the texts would be, be able to choose that shade the backgrounds could be ext. I mainly want you to be able to customize it more. Thanks for reading and I hope you address there comments/concerns
  • Good app; needs some work 3/5

    By Crazymountaingirl
I love this app!! But, it randomly calls people that I have recently texted when I am scrolling through the list of people I have texted. This is annoying because I don't want to have to but minutes, and it has already used two of my minutes from that kind of unneeded calling. But it is nice how it gives you ten minutes for free.
  • Receiving a call doesn't work 1/5

Am i the only one having this problem ? I CAN NOT RECEIVE a call. it DOES NOT connect and drops instantly. When it does connect (rarely) the other person can't hear me. Please fix. Thank you
  • Good, but... 3/5

    By Game_Katz
    Takes forever to load!
  • Not good. 2/5

    By Tmentour
This app is awful, and I’ve used many other 2nd number apps. The website had a weird glitch in which it’d randomly save a number’s name as my own. When I got a call, the answer would always disconnect on iPhone, and I’d have to call back. It deletes messages and can’t store too many in the inbox history. You can’t mute or archive messages (like Google Hangouts). The website is a bad alternative to “Line2.com’s” MacBook extension-which is way better to use on laptop. Customer service isn’t the best either, but they have gotten better about replying to emails. On a positive note, they have a website to reply to texts (some apps don’t), it’s free, and the app isn’t slow.

Well I see i get messages from pinger telling me I should use my number. and they'll stop it if not used, well that's not true I used it last year. Hmm, Pinger I have News for you I use it all the time. My first review still the same, why tell people your going to stop it when they've been using it? So far I like it.

  • LOVE IT!!! 5/5

This app says the truth when it comes to free! I love how you can text people without having to pay a fee!! It's especially amazing when you have to text someone fast. It delivers the message super fast and doesn't have a wait time. I love it!!!!! The only problem with it is that you have to have internet or wifi to deliver a message!!! Other than that...it is absolutely PERFECT!!!

  • Texting is great! Phone calls r just OK. 3/5

    By Lil Red Haired Girl
Texting never an issue. Phone calls r def an issue with app. U cant hear well on outgoing calls. Volume really low even if u turn ur phone to highest volume. Also app doesn't ring when calls r incoming so I don't always get to answer But I am able to receive and get calls with this app with wi-fi. Would def give it a 4/5 if volume and incoming call indicator could be fixed. That would move my like of the app to a love.
  • The app is wonderful 5/5
