  • Love It! 5/5

    By Jeeprider01
I was subscribing to about a dozen different magazines, and was tiring of trying to keep track of renewals, not to mention the waste of so much paper, even though I was recycling. Now I can read what I want, when I want, where I want, and bounce around to different titles as my tastes wander. I more than get my money's worth, and am glad I decided to check it out...
  • Fantastic App! 5/5

    By Nikthaquik
Love this app, you can get the back issues, the newest issues, interactive materials and popular articles. I wish it was a couple bucks cheaper, but no complaints. (Small request: SLAM magazine and Houstonia) Thanks! 🙏🏽💯
  • Just fantastic 5/5

    By vavavavintage
Easy to use, and so many magazines to choose from right at your finger tips!

Hi! I have had the TEXTURE app way before it was a TEXTURE app!! ...and I am very frustrated with the app!! First off, the app does not automatically download magazines!! I have to manually touch each and every magazine each time they are available for downloading!!!! ...even though the setting is set for automatic downloading!!!! FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!! Which means, for my iPads, iPods, and my iPhone, this frustrating task need to be accomplished!! What do I need to do differently to enjoy my TEXTURE app????!!!! ...because, I have NOT been enjoying my TEXTURE app for a while now!!!!!😩😩😩😩😫😫😫😤😤😩😩THANKS!!!! NOTE: ...besides the downloading issue, I LOVE TEXTURE!!!!!😉😉THANKS!!

Works great and very convenient for reading anywhere
  • App only rarely works 1/5

    By JB3210
Most of the time I cannot get anything to open or download. Usually the list of magazines, where the covers are supposed to be, just shows blank gray boxes. On the rare occasions when the app works, I think it's great. But I'll be canceling soon if the reliability does not improve.

Can't believe I get so many magazines.
  • iPad Pro 10 in 5/5

    By Toad18
My goodness! Read more than I am willing to admit. This platform allows me access to many publications, and had the highlight section. Who has time to read them all? That's why this is the best form. No wasted paper too. Also, I spend my entire sunday reading articles. It's great
  • Modified review because of high storage needed 3/5

    By banzaicat
I love Texture. Crawled in, gave a 5-star review & so enjoyed reading & saving articles on my iPhone. Was so eager to use app on my new iPad. Art, photography & text promised to look awesome. Problem: the app is virtually unusable on a 32GB iPad. Wouldn't load. Found Texture was at a whopping 14+ GB on my iPhone7 so no chance of syncing with new device. Reason: Texture auto downloads EVERY magazine you open. I don't understand this (unless a user specifies such for offline reading). Why can't our 'magazine rack' and saved articles & favorites happily dwell in a cloud based system. I've deleted many issues from app, got down to 8 GB, but I don't want to delete every issue, particularly publics. pertaining to art & design, & am unsure of storage my other saved articles are using. I'm very sad. Please make this a cloud based magazine system. Allow me to crawl in, hoard issues, occupy for long term a familiar reading & collecting space. App options for sharing articles (page...by...page) to cloud based apps won't resolve or give me immersive experience of leafing thru an issue on iPad. Hope this is resolved or a remedy provided. My orig 5 star review: My first days with Texture I read a great article in The Atlantic, leafed through articles & lush photography in Ntl Geographic (& Ntl Geographic History), & confess what I usually reserve for dr's ofc or mag rack--some fluffy celebrity reads. I hadn't even stumbled upon Time or Newsweek. Today started article at dentist's ofc, then easily found on Texture, will finish later. Smithsonian, New Yorker, architectural & culinary mags for which I'd never otherwise have subscriptions. Real magazine layout, all the great photos, cartoons/illustration, even ads, ability to easily zoom in on text or any area. Save articles to read later. **Wishing for bookmarks & indications of saved article I've begun reading to better track.** I'd like Life and access to vintage issues there. Am sure I'll hit more missing mags but really? This is an enriching and mind expanding app, keeps one very current, access to great writing. The logical way to 'carry' access to mags (Newspapers listening? How about an affordable option there covering many choices, we need you.)
  • Nice app Great Selection of Magazines 2/5

    By MarshGail
I heard about texture on my podcasts. I read and listen on my train commute. It is an impressive list of magazines and a well designed presentation. I'm still in the premium offer. I wish it was it was 7 or 8 dollars a month in stead of 10. My husband is loving it. We are both reading magazines we haven't read in years and enjoying it. After a few months, I'm not as impressed. It is difficult. To read some magazines.
  • Indispensable for my mind 5/5

    By Swan1019
Unbelievable collection of magazines under one app. The one thing lacking is that most of the magazines are not text to speech enabled. I work in Legal and my eyes get tired from reading and the computer screen. With the heavy computer screen usage, personal reading becomes drastically reduced. I will only read eBooks or scan and text-enable a book that is out of print. The New Yorker is an exception and is text to speech enabled, and the magazine I faithfully read.
  • Ok 4/5

I wish they had magazines for people on low sodium foods. I had a stroke 2015. I wish there was a magazine for people who have had strokes. They have one for diabetics. Thank you.
  • Love this app - Great price! 5/5

    By Lanigirl29
I saw this app on Facebook, on sale for $6.99 - the cost of two magazines. While I'm still learning the quirks, I LOVE IT! I checked out the magazines BEFORE I subscribed and those I read were all there! Beyond happy customer here!
  • New update stops viewing magazines 1/5

For a month, cant use the app. Tried removing and installing a new app.only then did it work. Paid for a month of no service.
  • Great App 5/5

    By Jdk4466
Great! Use several times per day.
  • Crashes constantly 1/5

    By Jal3237
This used to be such a great app. I recommended it to tons of friends who want to eliminate all of the paper waste of magazines but have access to tons of them for a very reasonable price. But we are getting to the point where I can't read a magazine without a crash. Some in particular like Food TV are so unstable as to be unreadable. I am close to cancelling. Very very close.
  • Amazing Value 5/5

    By Xio
Honestly this is such an incredible value that at first I thought there must be a catch at best or it was illegal at worse. Good news... it's totally legal and there is no bait and switch catch. It is honestly a subscription to every magazine you've ever wanted to read for $10 a month! It is excellent on the iPad. If you like reading and have a variety of interests this is for you.
  • 14.99 5/5

    By sittight
I pay 14.99 per month. How do I take advantage of the 6.99 per mo Do I just delete my current app and install new one ?????
  • A bargain beyond bargains 5/5

    By ARLaRosa
I used to have a lot of magazine subscriptions. And I still do - in fact, more than ever! - with the difference being first, they cost collectively $15/month, I can pick and choose from over a hundred titles, I'm not limited to the single copy that stacks up and has to be periodically pitched (can be viewed on multiple devices wherever I am), and they are wonderfully curated (lots of articles about what to read). It doesn't get better!
  • No Complaints 5/5

    By RuthaM
    Title says it all.
  • Most recent update is buggy 2/5

    By R-Eric-M
This app has been very stable for awhile but is now back to its buggy ways. Magazines won't resolve pages from low res previews to readable pages (oddly sprinkled throughout a Popular Mechanics issue) and now I get about 2/3 through a long scroll article in Car & Driver and it sends me back to the top every time and I can't finish the article. Also, pages will randomly go blank and then come back. Performance has also dropped again after finally improving. Please finish testing before a release...
  • Saving trees 5/5

    By JanWilke51
What a small price to pay to have access to all of these lovely magazines. The bonus is, no clutter or messy magazines all over the place LOL. They are all neatly tucked away in my iPad. I can save my favorite articles and file them away in folders and keep them forever. I love this app. Thank you for making it available.
  • Crooked and not worth it 1/5

    By Cando McCarthy
A terrible app that won't let you cancel. I tried and couldn't access my account. I emailed with officials and still ended up paying for an extra month I didn't want. NEVER AGAIN!!!
  • Support is limited - horrible 2/5

    By MN14776
In the month of September 2017, my downloads on both my iPad and my iPhone locked up. All my troubleshooting failed. The phone number for Support is for Texture Canada. US users need to figure it out on their own - online support is basic at best. I love the Magazines but it's frustrating when there's no one available to help. For $10.00/month, someone should be manning the phones for US Customers!
  • Awesome new price 5/5

    By nursen05
Definitely worth the subscription at this price. A big variety of magazines.
  • Enjoying it so far 4/5

    By anna.shantel
It seems a bit pricey, but I am enjoying the app so far.
  • As Advertised 5/5

    By ReverendRabbi
Lots of magazines, surprised at the number of archived magazines(example, Vanity Fair) I am very pleased so far!
  • What the hell happened to landscape view?! 1/5

    By Former Texture user
Less than useless for reading any 2 page spread. And you do this just in time for the September issue? Canceling now and reverting to my library's free Zinio service. Why pay for the same lousy content and half a layout? 1 star because it is required. Does not deserve any.
  • Overpriced & Lacks Features 2/5

    By kellhound1
Texture has a lot of gumption to demand $10/mo for the little it gives you. The marketing alludes that Texture would have a vast array of magazines. It doesn't. Texture's library is extremely limited. It's fine if you intend to read fashion magazines and the typical checkout stand fares. But it you want to read more specific magazines--computers, technology, science, photography, software, etc--you'll be out of luck. That's what is so frustrating about this app. In most other respects it is functional. The UI is okay. The controls are fine. There's nothing huge to complain about in that category. In fact, the search function will look for the search parameters inside magazines, not just the titles. That's a very good feature. But if the app doesn't carry the magazines you're interested in, what's the point? I was very disappointed with the limited magazines offered. Not worth the money.
  • Love App 5/5

    By Padika
It's great to be able to have so many magazines in one app! Love it.
  • Love this app! 5/5

    By AdeleMajor
It's so great to be able to read a huge variety of magazines for one very reasonable price! I also love the highlights and selected reads, as well as the ability to save specific articles in your own personal categories.
  • The whole magazine rack on your iPad but no spirituality 3/5

    By Jacob and Dad
Great range of magazines, reader is slick and streamlined not clunky like old readers, but offerings do not include religion, spirituality, which ignores a huge segment of the world and our interests and pursuits.
  • So much better 4/5

    By Sophiemowillem
What a difference a year makes! I almost gave up on you Texture - thank you for listening and continuing to improve the user experience!!! I LOVE having access to hundreds of magazines but do not miss the clutter. I also enjoy being able to share articles!!! Keep improving!!
  • Good bye stacks of magazines! 5/5

    By melanie rocks!
I love this app Texture! I love reading magazines and this does it all for my magazine fix! Oodles of magazines to choose from. Their features are amazing with categories, highlights and monthly editions to every mag I pick out! One of my all time favs! Thank you Texture and the IT staff that work hard to run it so smoothly!
  • Just what I wanted in a magazine app... if only it would stop crashing. 3/5

    By Leah3954
Texture is awesome. It actually has popular, current magazines and is everything I hoped it would be. Unfortunately, in about 30 minutes of reading on my iPhone 7+ the app has crashed four times. It is updated to the current version so I don't believe that is the issue. Once this issue is fixed, I say 5 stars all the way. Until then I'll give it 3...
  • Love this app 5/5

    By LAH mom
If you are a magazine junkie, like my family, we can all read and share magazines without all the paper in our recycling bin. All four of us use this app.
  • Good but lacking keyboard input 4/5

    By BostonFrank
I just signed up for this service after a recommendation from a friend. Mostly, the app works well. Where it doesn't is under certain zooming circumstances. Newsweek, for example, shows two pages when in landscape mode on an iPad. If you zoom in with your fingers only one side of the screen enlarges. The effect is very strange and unexpected. My other gripe with the app is that it takes NO input from the Smart Keyboard (or any keyboard). If I'm trying to use arrow keys to go up, down or left and right, the arrow keys do nothing. As far as I can tell, NONE of the keys have any effect on the app. I have a 12.9" iPad Pro and I instinctively reach for the keys to do shortcuts and move the page. Seems like a missed opportunity.
  • Great app! 5/5

    By Lauractd
    Love it!
  • Unable to open 3/5

    By lamotteskiddalyboomboom
After initial problems trying to open the app it's now fixed. The magazines selection is good. Could be better Would like to see more variety. More science. More tech. Also embiggening the text could be improved. Not as easy as Kindle. I like saving money so will subscribe once the free bit is over.
  • No more paper subscriptions to weigh the recycle bin down 4/5

    By Lainie_luvs_music
I love to read and sometimes even if I have five nights I'll go searching for something to read I don't have to anymore with texture- I always have something at my fingertips and the selection is really good. I would get the app five stars but quite frankly sometimes it's difficult to read and I have to keep magnifying but perhaps that's not textures' fault? it also makes me feel better about my footprint, not wasting paper feels good. Bummer- no perfume samples to sniff but I'll get over it.
  • Storage issues, make all the magazines scroll the same way 1/5

    By cvn83
This app will eat up all your storage no matter what options you have set. In fact it will lock up, your iPad and when you get back in and go to settings you see a few mb of storage are left. Delete the magazines, 20 GB free, FIX this, I should not have to keep deleting magazines manually. Yes, I have the setting to use the least amount of storage. Also, fix the magazine scrolling problem, make them all scroll the same way, the same way you read a magazine, not the Dead Sea scrolls.
  • Highlights 3/5

    By Russell3825
Love that all my favorite magazines are in 1 place for a low price. I wish you could customize the highlights section. It has a beach body highlights that I have no interest in and summer is over. It used to have a weekend reads, which was my favorite way to find longform articles from magazines that I don't read cover to cover, but it seems to be gone.
  • Cool app 4/5

    By Freedom Roadkill
Cool app lost a point because there could be more mags
  • Getting error 1/5

I highly recommend Texture. I travel a lot and have every magazine at my fingertips. I love it!
  • Great but.... 4/5

    By Dadbizdoc
This is a great service. My only wish is that they would make the links live like in Zinio.
  • Love, love, love! 5/5

    By KKKirsch
The Texture app is incredible! I love the stories they pick out of the magazines to read, and the selection of magazines is extensive. It offers hours of great reading!
  • Love it!!! 5/5

Cheaper than buy individual magazines and i have them all available all the time, save trees too
  • Really good App. 5/5

    One more step to paperless.
  • Rate Texture App 5/5

    By Gram of one
I really enjoy this app. I was paying $133.00 for just my People Magazine so to me this app is a great bargain. It has something for everybody in my household. My only request would be for you to add the National Enquirer to your list of magazines.
