DO NOT SUBSCRIBE THROUGH ITUNES!!!! 1/5
It has been difficult to cancel the subscription because The Week doesn’t have any information on me because it was done through the App Store.
There is nothing I can find that tells me how to successfully cancel the service.
I need an account number or email or zip code. But, The Week can’t sync themselves up with ITunes to help with the process.
I’ve called and emailed and feel I’m caught in a loop when all I want to do is cancel subscription.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM ITUNES!!!
Save My Place! 4/5
By Terry & Sara
My wife and I have both enjoyed The Week for over 10 years, and lately I’ve mostly been reading it on my iPhone 6+. The app is great, but I have on complaint about very annoying behavior. When I leave the app and return after a few hours, even if the app is still “loaded” in the background, it returns to the All Issues state and does not remember where I left off. Seriously, this is a silly flaw and could be easily fixed.
Great Content & Perfect for iPad 5/5
I’ve been reading the week for 10 years. It’s like a quirky sparknotes for world news. The content is concise yet impactful, and covers a wide variety of topics. Read the Week, and you’ll roam confidently among the informed!
Sometimes it’s slants more one way than the other, but they do a better job than most at presenting both sides of a political topic.
The iPad format is beautiful and perfect for engaging when you have a spare 10 minutes, and want to use that as a time to keep up with what’s going on in the world.
Love the mag, not so much the app 5/5
Consistently the "10 things" fails to load, instead reverting to where it was before, and frozen there. Have to delete & reinstall the app to get things back.
Minor detail: its long overdue to update the covers pix on the opening screen!
Also we were looking for an android app for my wife's galaxy 6, but couldn't get it to load. Even the tech at Verizon store couldn't make it load!
Would love to pick up where I left off. 4/5
Great magazine — been a subscriber since 2001 — and the app does its job in presenting it.
One hangup: If I close the app in the middle of reading an issue and resume later, my place is completely lost. I always arrive at the main screen with all the issues when I reopen the app, and when I select the issue I was reading, I’m taken to the table of contents instead of where I left off. The app didn’t always behave this way, and I’d love to see it go back to remembering where I left off so I can stop feeling like I have to read the whole issue at once or lose my place.
Well balance, informative, bi-partisan, fun 5/5
Eagerly expected each week
Consolidated and fair 5/5
By Mitch From Down State
Brief and to the point. My must read of the week.
Exceptional publication . 5/5
Concise, balanced, thorough. Look forward to this magazine every week.
The Best! 5/5
The week has been our favorite magazine for years. I will read it cover to cover and get all the news, entertainment, and commentary I want and need. Am trying the app for first time.
Straight to the point 5/5
The content is well organized into concise chunks of JUST news. I appreciate the presentation of the varied perspectives i.e. editorials, columnists, etc.
Global Perspective 5/5
My dad got us started on reading The Week years ago; three generations of the family, all enjoying a great, concise look at what's happening in the world. I think we all go immediately to the "Good Week for...Bad Week for..." section first - so enjoyable!
As some others have commented, the iPad app has made reading The Week so convenient. Unlike some apps that don't do a good job at transitioning from a printed platform to a digital one, The Week's app is very user-friendly and comes closest to mimicking its printed predecessor.
The Week is most of what I need to read 4/5
Look forward to the next issue more than any other magazine .
Love it, but... 3/5
By Seattle John
It usually updates on Thursday, but sometimes it doesn't. I called customer support and they said it depends on whether you pay them directly or get it through the App Store. Tech support is pretty pathetic.
Great roundup 4/5
I treasure this for how it covers news and opinion nationally, internationally, right, left and sideways. Because of its breadth, I consider this the most unbiased news source available.
Great publication to stay informed about national and world issues. And not gonna lie...love the Only in America and Tabloid section for amusement!
Best way to get news 5/5
Everyone in my family reads this magazine, and it's our favorite way to get the news, both domestic and international. Good balance of serious and uplifting stories.
Well Formatted Somewhat Shallow 4/5
I appreciate the concise format that this app uses to present information. The quality of the information is generally good though I wish there were more in the way of citations at the end, or links to more in depth write ups.
I also subscribe to The Week in print and think their magazine does a better job of striking a balance between brevity and depth.

Different, concise, precise
14 day trial doesn't show up 2/5
Description says download the app and get a 14 day free trial. Downloaded it and there's no option for a trial. Week support sent me to iTunes who sent me back to the Week. No resolution yet. Love the week and the App looks great (hence a couple of stars) but the trial should be easy to subscribe to - so far it's not.
please fix the app 1/5
By very unhappy subscriber
Love the magazine; hate the app. No longer recalls last page. It is a pain to read the magazine now. This problem started with the last app upgrade approximately 6 weeks ago. I continue to delete and re-add the app every week, but this issue has still not been fixed.

It's all one needs in terms of News coverage. Well balance & unbiased...it's "news you can use" to be a better human being.
Best news app 5/5
By CS UVa Grad
Hot fire fire
Concise summary of newsworthy events 5/5
If you only have time to read one magazine to find out what's going on in the US and the world each week, having both conservative and liberal views outlined, then this is the magazine for you.
Well rounded! 5/5
By Us Andersons
Each week is covered in a comprehensive and even handed way. After reading the magazine on Sunday, I am able to engage with others from an informed position on everything from news, music, entertainment to real estate, Monday through Friday. I do hope that one day they will add a sports "round up" for us to use at the water cooler.
Love the week 5/5
We have been subscribers for 7 years. Love how stories are curated and two-sides are presented.
Does not remember last page. 1/5
Please, please, please fix the issue that the App remembers where I left off. Each time I restart I have to browse to find where I stopped reading.
It is 6 months after I posted my review. Nobody listening?
Very biased politically 2/5
App works great, but the political articles are very biased. If you're looking for non-biased views politically this definitely is not the place... some fun non-political information in every issue though.
New Format Stinks 1/5
By Daily Reader#20
New format stinks. Give me the former magazine format otherwise I will go back to snail mail. New format Buffy, slow, hard to read consecutively. I HATE the new format. why do companies continually try to fix what wasn't broken in the first place?
Includes ALL news. All sources, all sides. Excellent coverage. 5/5
One of my 4 major daily must-reads 5/5
The Week is by far one of my four daily must-reads as it keeps me abreast of current news, events, opinions and special topics of interest to me.
Great compilation of news from both sides. Great interest stories
Top news magazine app 5/5
Fantastic content but glitchy 4/5
The Week has been my favorite newsmagazine for years. The content is top-notch--concise and informative.
The iPad app takes great advantage of the platform. When so many other magazines take the easy way out and just replicate their print pages in an app, it's great to see a publisher take the time to re-layout stories to make best use of the iPad's features. The font size is adjustable, which is a boon for old eyes.
The current version of the app has a full range of share buttons, including Evernote, but saving a story to Evernote is unintuitive. If you use the share button, it will save only the headline and nothing else. To save the actual content of the article, you have to Select All and then choose “Share” from the pop-up menu. Even then, you get only the text and not the photos.
The app crashes a lot on iPad 2, which may be more the fault of the hardware than the app. Apart from useful Evernote integration, the feature I need most is some kind of bookmarking. If you leave off partway through an issue, the app does not keep your place and there’s no way to mark it. When you re-launch the app the next day, it sends you to the All Issues page. So you’d better remember where you left off, because the app won’t do it for you.

The best news magazine ever!
Wonderful & Compact! 5/5
By Philip S. Bellingham
Great magazine, I have enjoyed the succinct weekly summary so much that I sprung for a 2 year subscription! I figure that at least ONCE during these two years I will win "The Week Contest" on the last page and add another free year to these two...:-)
Best there is!!!! 5/5
By Avid classical fan
I am a news junkie and I like to compare the left-wing & right-wing slants to a political story. The WEEK does this to political events and issues unbelievably well. In plain news, it gets it all right, from humor to futuristic ideas to just nice to know stuff.
It is worth every dime. When I'm done with issues, I take them to my doctor's office or my regular barber shop and drop hem off, as even the cover art is worth a second look!
By Badin h2o. Warrior
Enjoy the attempt at balance. Don't care for homes. Restaurants always in big cities. Too much devoted to books. Read this mag to get balanced news fast because too busy to read other media. Not enough time to read books.
One of the best publications out there. 5/5
Absolutely outstanding coverage of the issues. I love that they're able to cover all of the sides of a story fairly.
Love the updates 5/5
By IT Studio
Love the updates
Thoughtful and Provocative 5/5
Thoughtful and provocative aggregation of weekly news.
Like the mag as well as paper edition 5/5
I've read both the e-version and the paper magazine. I find that I lean towards the e-mag because of convenience and the ability to expand pix and maps. The content is unbiased and first rate. I only read a few mags each month, and this is one that provides info on a broad range of topics.
Great Magazine 5/5
To the point
Opinions clearly identified
Can quickly read the items of interest to me
Can check the references from the articles if I want more detail or improve my understanding of the subject.
Godlilocks of News 5/5
Great succinct news with a fresh new twist. I don't have 3-4hrs to read Wash Post but I want more than just the headlines from Google News - The Week is the Goldilocks of news.
Excellent ...other than political coverage 3/5
The non-political news coverage is good, but the political coverage (selection and presentation) is left-leaning and preachy in places. Unnecessarily, I might add. Good product otherwise.
Great information 5/5
I like the reviews and opinions. The magazine is much easier to read than the app.
Good but could be even better... 3/5
The freezing nature of past versions have been fixed (thankfully) but the most annoying thing at the moment is the lack of ability to bookmark where you are in an issue when you leave the app while reading an issue. It is annoying to have to start from scratch each time you read and have to remember where you are. The app used to have this feature so it must of been removed an update or two ago. Please bring this back!!! Thanks.
Boy, do I sound smart now! 5/5
After reading The Week, I can offer a little something to every conversation, and ask good questions. TaDa!
Well done 5/5
Better than most magazine apps
The Week 4/5
By I pixel
I have enjoyed reading the week for years. I have not had trouble with the app. Another reviewer mentioned that those having trouble with the app may have gotten the subscription on I- Tunes. I like to be able to get such a broad spectrum of news from one source. I like the fact that I can use the app. when my husband is reading the print copy. We do not have to wait for each other to finish!
