don't update 1/5
the update made this a trash app. i can't tell when the buses are departing or arriving. honestly don't use it. it's not worth it. just go stand at the stop you'll have more luck catching a bus.
not accurate 3/5
By Ann Nejal
this app is not accurate with the mta schedule.
Cool app for New Yorkers. 5/5
By Angie 👑
Accurate and helpful.
Wasn’t so satisfied with it at first but it’s improved a lot.
Good timing, bad GPS tracking. 2/5
The timing of the bus/subway system is accurate; however, the GPS system is never right and always places me on a street/highway I am nowhere near. Now that I know the times of the buses I need to catch, I’ll be deleting the app since it the location is always wrong.
Need more Real Time updates 3/5
I use this app everyday. And I’ll say 60% of the time it’s correct. I think instead of going by the pre-scheduled time the MTA has on it’s bus stop schedules, it should be Real Time arrivals showing on the app. It’s confusing and misleading when the wrong info is showing.
Not a fan 1/5
I was trying to take the bus home and the app said the bus was coming in 12 minutes, but I got to the bus stop and the bus was just pulling away so now I am sitting in the freezing cold extremely unhappy because this app could not tell me the accurate timing for the bus. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this app to anyone I immediately deleted it off my phone and now I have switched to a better more reliable app
Faithful throughout time. 4/5
I’ve been using this app since my freshman year in high school, and overall it has been a huge life saver in so many instances, especially with the real time tracking. It helped me to figure out how to navigate the busy city streets by myself. Sometimes the tracker is off a bit, and since I like to wait until the last minute, it has caused me to miss a fee busses, but overall a wonderful app. I acknowledge that problems like these are minimal, and I really enjoy the interface.
At one point there was an Apple Watch app for this, until one day it just disappeared from my watch face, and I’ve been trying to get it back ever since. I would really appreciate it if this feature was re added, because my iPhone battery doesn’t cooperate well with cold, while my watch is much more durable. That way when it’s freezing outside, I only have to look at my wrist.
Overall, brilliant app, friendly interface, and it knows how to get you from point A to B
Suddenly Chicago transit times completely incorrect and advisory messages are multiple days stale.
I love this app it's so convenient! When ever I'm running late it's very handy to have. It'll tell you how long until the next 3 busses come! Again, very handy to have.
Great app, but crashes constantly with new update 2/5
Love this app, but with the most recent update the app crashes whenever I click on the Hubway option in the trip planner and crashes sometimes when I use the main search bar.
App consistency 1/5
Very unreliable 90% of the time. Times are always off and can't rely on it at all.
iPad Support 3/5
By Alicorn Princess
Any chance you can have this app work on the iPad?
Apple Watch app? 5/5
I’ve had this app previously and it’s was, still is, the best public transit app that I’ve tried. For some reason it dropped off the App Store and now it’s back. The only issue is that previously there was a Apple Watch app. Now there’s no Watch app?? Bring back the Watch app and 5 stars.
Edit: I got a response to the above review and it WASN’T a boilerplate response. It addressed my specific issue (Apple Watch app). The developer actually does read reviews and respond. I’m impressed. Now they get 5 stars.
DONT DOWNLOAD IF YOU LIVE IN SF 2/5
If you’re in San Francisco, do NOT download this app. I used to really like this app but for a whole week, the app was inaccurate and told me busses were coming in 5 minutes when in actuality they were coming in 10-15 minutes.
It worked pretty well when I lived in New York but this app in SF has been very unsuccessful for me.
Almost the perfect commuter’s app 3/5
By Khris Morris
I haven’t had any major problems with this app. However, it does have its faults sometimes. One problem being that every ride I go on, the app always at some point says “Detour in effect. Pay attention to your surroundings.” Despite me never really doing anything and just following the directions. I do hope this gets fixed as it is both annoying and rather annoying for the fact that it stops the menu from doing anything else until it goes away.
Thank you 5/5

I like this app
Mostly good 4/5
By Ms Mahrya
Happy with this app for the most part but I noticed that, even when it’s switched on the “minimal walking” option does not work as it used to since the most recent update. I live in Chicago and the winter air does not play well with my asthma so having routes that keep me from walking for too long in the cold is VERY important. It makes me wonder what people with limited mobility have to go through. Please bring back this feature!
Love it !! 5/5
By Hart girl
This is the best and most accurate travel app out there !!.. I love when they do an update, it’s fun to read all the funny things!
Unless you give access to social channels, unable to report delays 1/5
Why is it necessary for me to give you access to my Twitter Facebook or Google to report a delay? I don’t want to share every single bus delay with my followers but I’d like to report a delay so this only semi-working app has updated information. Is this data mining or a community crowd sourcing? Get your priorities straight.
You can’t trust always 3/5
By lalo mere
3 Times this app show the time and later increase the time again
You have to combine with other app
Best UTA app in SLC 5/5
Even as a casual user of mass transit, I find this app indispensable. Excellent user experience from UI to accuracy.
If you’re using GO, make sure your phone is charged. It’s rather energy intensive for obvious reasons. The detail is really helpful for those of us who aren’t public transit warriors.
Great App - user for 2 years 4/5
The time of arrival for the buses has always been pretty accurate for me. I just wish it all the same features that you see in NY in San Diego. I don’t know if that’s just a developer issue or the local transit issue. Also, I can’t see the app on my Apple Watch anymore. What’s going on there?
Not accurate 3/5
It’s been posting wrong buses arrivals and the widget it’s not working properly
Very frustrated with all the wrong arrival times 1/5
Just today I waited for a bus that said it would be there in 3 minutes after 3 minutes passed the same bus now showed 9 minutes and this was after it had already counted down to 0 minutes. It has not been the first time this has happened and though it’s a great idea when it’s not accurate it’s useless.
I love this app! 5/5
It makes using Transit so easy, no forethought required, no trying to figure out transit maps or schedules. Just enter my destination and see the options. Tonight it showed me that I was right across the street from the bus stop, and I’ll save $15 by waiting five minutes and taking the bus instead of calling Lyft. And it works in cities all around the world! I’ve used it in London and New Orleans as well as here at home.
Inaccurate for Buses 3/5
Bus times are often inaccurate by five minutes or more. Usually a lot better with trains (at least in Boston and DC). It can be mildly infuriating when your commute involves both types of transit.
Tried to wait for improvement... 2/5
...Ended up just waiting in the cold again and again. Used this for a few months now - I don't know why I don't have the same experience as these reviews. I really want to like this app...love the UI. But I've had to wait 10-15 minutes outside in the cold far more times than I'd like due to inaccurate readings. I'd say it's been accurate perhaps a third of the time? Google Maps is more of a hassle since I have to punch in my destination, but it's been accurate close to 100%. Sadly will have to switch back...perhaps I'll try again next year.
Very inaccurate. Works only 3 out of 10 times. I've either missed my ride or waited for a bus or train that never showed up.
You've got a much higher chance of getting to work on time with google map.
Deleting this app.
No longer useful 2/5
The app seems to no longer be accurate in my location of Portland, Me. It no longer shows the busses on the map and the times are the printed schedule times and not actual arrival time.
It is disappointing particularly when someone is stuck standing in the cold for a bus that is 15 minutes late.
Unreliable late at night 1/5
The app is accurate and reliable until around 1am. Then it says there are no active bus lines until 6am (which is not true) and the only option listed is über. I’m not sure why this is so when other transit apps show that there are still many active lines up to 3 or 4 am. Very annoying that I have to download another app just to get home safely without calling über. Btw this is not just a glitch, it’s happened on several occasions.
Don’t use the bus w/o this app. 5/5
This app is amazing. There should be a feature where you enter a time and it tells you what time to leave, other than that this app is fantastic.
Lots of errors 3/5
By LA Super Dude
Portland transit has multiple errors that need to be fixed. Especially mislabeled trains and incomplete routes.
By Bad Rottie
I am surprised Transitdecided to removesupport for Apple ⌚️! I used to check on my ⌚️ but not anymore. 🙁
mostly reliable 2/5
but not always. departure times for particular routes repeatedly show times inconsistent with published schedule, even while using the app. unsure if this is a glitch, but does. it help with functionality at all.
Reply to developer:
unsure about the “antenna bars”, but estimated arrivals of the local bus differ/fluctuate by as much as 10 minutes as one uses the app. Particular example is rte 213 (UTA, Salt Lake City), where seconds apart it either shows bus is a minute vs. 10 min from departing in the same direction. Hope this helps.
Schedule issues 3/5
The app makes one assumption that can be frustrating. That the bus will leave the station on schedule. I am guess that the local mbta people can not update when a bus goes out of service. While I love the Uber option when the information is not accurate it makes it frustrating to use the app and the mbta. It’s a great app when the bus is in route (like when you leave the house). Please find a way to update your station leave times to be accurate.
Real time? 1/5
"Real time" arrival times are useless. This app used to be great but now the times are way off.
RIGHT TIME! 2/5
i wouldve gave this a 5 but everytime i check for the time, it always says one time and then when i get to the bus stop the bus is already there!
Apple Watch? 3/5
This is a useful transit app, especially for its clear activity/timing indications for your favorite routes. But what happened to the companion Apple Watch app? Despite some slowness and the lack of a complication, that was my favorite Apple Watch app and the reason I used this phone app in the first place. It was SO nice to be able to see at a glance of my wrist when my favorite buses/trains were coming! Please bring back the Watch app!!!
What the...? 1/5
By Music boo
it does it’s job but the buses makes no sense, it said there’s a bus coming at 6:35, i already went to the stop with 10 left, so i waited... waiting i don’t mind, if i check again and it tell me the bus is coming at 6:48 is another thing...
Apple Watch? 4/5
Love this app! really useful, one of the most essential apps to have. Would be 5 stars but the Apple Watch app is missing.
App won’t stay open! 1/5
I used to use this app on my i phone regularly in NYC but as of a few months ago the app opens for about 2 to 3 seconds and closes. So I cannot use it at all. I don’t know why this is happening. Has anyone else had this problem? I really miss having use of this app. Is there a glitch in the update. I don’t know what to do to fix it. A few months ago I would have given it five stars and now I can’t give it any stars.
Missing watch app 1/5
This app used to have a watch app with it. Now it doesn’t. This reduces the potential utility of this app for me to just above zero. If I have to drag my phone out, I might as well check Apple Maps for transit data. Whatever.
Where did Apple Watch go!? 2/5
Transit App had the best Apple Watch app for public transportation. Now that my watch has LTE I could check the train schedule on my wrist. Please bring back the Apple Watch app!
This app is a lier 1/5
When I put my address it doesn’t tell me every bus that would take me there. This app just costed many hours of waiting for a bus that would come in a long time and not tell me about a bus that’s coming as soon.
Best transit app ever 5/5
Great on-the-go info, in a very easy to read interface. I’m not missing buses anymore!
Love the release notes! 5/5
It’s good, and.. 4/5
This is a good app for being able to track the gosh darned MBTA in Boston (which we all fiercely detest), namely the green line. There are two features that need work, where I find that I’m expecting more: the first is a quicker load time for current location in proximity to the train route that I’m currently on. The second, and more important feature I wish for, is customizable alerts - specifically for individual B/C/D/E line updates...that, and for me to choose the times I receive alerts. I work retail and don’t often ride during the PM rush hour, rather, just after. It’s kinda not fun to have either rush hour, or everything always. Thanks.
Crashes when I open it
Best Transit App out 5/5
As a New Yorker with everyday traveling to work and other places, I hands down recommend this app. It’s accurate and useful for all possible ways to get around the city. From train delays to bus route changes. It’s a must have app in my household.
