  • Apple Watch app gone??!! 1/5

    By Jricle
1/19 update: looks like a new version was recently released but Apple Watch app still MIA and developer response? Still crickets. Seriously VERY ANNOYING. I’ve given up on Transit and am now using a competitor app that supports Apple Watch - not nearly as as well as Transit’s now abandoned Watch app but at least it’s something. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I am joining the chorus of reviews lamenting the removal of Apple Watch support from this formerly-useful app. And as far as I can tell the developers have been silent on this issue. What gives? This was my go-to app for quickly checking train arrival times on my watch. It was one the most used and most useful Watch apps I had, and now they’ve killed it. Boo!!!

I love this app. It works as advertised.
  • It just doesn’t work 1/5

    By fiwbskfj
Please update this app. I use it for the TCAT busses in Ithaca, NY and it simply does not work. Bus locations are rarely available, and arrival times are NEVER accurate. I am currently riding a bus that, according to this app, does not exist.
  • Seriously? 1/5

    By Agagejdbshqi)gq1536
Would not update my departure times, or show me where the bus was on the map. Please fix this.... the app is basically unusable.
  • Great transit app - what happened to Apple Watch app? 4/5

    By Brett in Oak Park
I love support apps: apps that support me being more efficient and effective. To be honest, this app is one of my favorite apps because no matter where I am in my city - Chicago BTW - I know what transit options are around me to help me get where I want to go with minimal waiting around for a bus or train. This app does not only suppose to do that, it does it well consistently. However, the only thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars is the fact that somewhere along the way in version histories, the supporting Apple Watch app was removed. The ability to look at my watch and see what transit options are around and when they are arriving/departing was an invaluable feature. Now that feature is gone and I hope the Transit app brings it back.
  • What Happened to Apple Watch Support? 5/5

    By 3GS 2010
I want to start by saying that I love this app overall. It is very reliable and syncs my modes of public transportation seamlessly. As of late I have noticed that Apple Watch Support has disappeared. I would like to ask if it will return as it’s a great added feature especially during cold winter months. Hopefully Apple Watch Support will return.
  • Doesn’t understand NYC very well. 1/5

    By Cnm25
Montreal bagels...Please. Considering your user base in NYC, it was a pretty dumb comment to put in the app update. And it was wrong!
  • Bring back the Apple Watch compatibility 3/5

    By Uridethegusbus
I love the app and I loved that it used to work with my Apple Watch but after you guys updated it the App got erased from my Apple Watch bring it back it was very convenient!
  • Decent diverse app 4/5

    By abgthfdy chgrd
Lots of transit methods, and seeing the bus icons in real-time is very helpful.
  • Great overall app for trains & buses 5/5

    By Gmcthree
I use this app for both trains & buses in New York City. It's quite accurate and handy when it works, and enjoy the extra features it has. Only thing is sometimes the logo for the bus or train disappears and I have to re-size the screen and play with it in order to view it again. But I'd recommend this to someone for sure. And read the detail of their updates, makes me like this app even more!
  • Very handy. 5/5

    By BRobins87
I had a problem with GPS before but I believe it was the phone I used before. I switched from the 6s to X and I can read the map a little better. Some of the lines need to be updated. The only issue I am STILL having is while walking, the map doesn’t exactly update like I’d like. But the uhh....”dot” that’s shows exactly where you’re standing shows which way you’re facing so that helps. I would love it if the map zoomed while walking so you’d have a better idea of which direction you’re going (kinda like how Maps does while you’re driving). I would still recommend this to anyone new to Denver who doesn’t have a car or would much rather bypass the horrible traffic out here.
  • Unbelievably inaccurate and unreliable. 2/5

    By Doesn't work/disappointed
Just waited 20 mins for a bus that never came but was listed as on time in the app and never updated to reflect a late status. Took a different bus that arrived without notice, not listed in the app.
  • Great app 5/5

Please be available for Apple Watch !!!!
  • Amazing! 5/5

    By JmlBcn
This is by far the most intelligent app I’ve have ever used. I down loaded the app waiting for the bus just out of curiosity. It said the bus was gonna be here in 1 min. I was like yeah right....the bus was here! This is a total time saver.
  • Info is right on 5/5

    By Hawk Operator
As transit professional. I use this app for others constantly to give real time bus connections times. Great app!!!
  • Where’d Apple Watch go? 4/5

    By xHeavyKevy
Love this app I use it multiple times a day I’d be lost without it. If you rely on public transit there is nothing better it’s so accurate. Developers, why did you take the Apple Watch app away? It was so handy to look down and see whatever buses are coming to your current location at a glance.
  • Easy navigation in large Urban areas 5/5

    By b1walker
The transit app has bailed me out constantly in large urban cities. I don’t really have to think about how to get home from wherever I am bc Transit will always provide me the best route (be it car, foot, bike, or public transport). It is GPS heavy and sometimes (though rarely) doesn’t account for delays. Overall though, I use this as often as any Maps application within large cities. I also love for the update notes. Please never muzzle that man/woman. They are great!
  • Not Always Accurate 2/5

    By Tina. S
The app doesn’t always show the correct time when the bus is due to arrive. I have missed buses or have stood waiting more than 20, 30 minutes waiting for a bus that shows is due in minutes on the app. Not very reliable!
  • Removed Apple Watch App 1/5

    By 2009mikem
A recent update removed the Apple Watch app. Makes it useless!
  • Exceeded my expectations 5/5

    By Gallow Sr.
I used this app for over 2 years already and it’s always so accurate. I checked out the mta app and it’s disgusting/unusable. That app compared to this is like a 2001 Honda Accord compared to a 2013 Honda Accord. The mta should be ashamed of their app. This app however, is a godsend!
  • Eh 2/5

Bus times are wrong most of the time
  • Not reliable anymore 2/5

    By Vfbkkcbcdbvmsro
I am not sure what happened. This app used to work perfectly fine. But recently the times that appear on the app do not correspond to the actual arrival time of the buses. I hope that this will be fixed in the near future.
  • 💩💩💩💩💩 1/5

    By Vc788
The app never knows where I’m at even with location services on and when it does work it never seems to update with my recent location. I’ve tried restarting the app, which still does nothing. Not worth the memory space on my phone So I gave it another shot and the problem persist, where the app can’t locate me accurately. So still 💩💩💩💩💩
  • Good but 3/5

    By Musiq08
I like the premise of the app. It connects with the MTA to show you real time updates and time of transit. However it SOMETIME does not should real time. For example: I was waiting for the train and it said the train will be there in 5 minutes and the train was 2 minutes early and I missed the train. Sometimes it does not show buses either. Some buses pass and the app did not say they were coming. I like the app but it is not dependable I still use the mta website.
  • it'll chew your battery, it's worth it 5/5

this app took me from never using public transit to being something of an expert Texas transplant to NJ should frame the transition for you
  • Correct information, helpful and delight to use 5/5

    By Avi Dullu
IMHO a must have app for people motivated to use and promote public transport system. User friendly interface and zero annoyances!
  • Seems like it’s lost Apple Watch support 3/5

    By Mike1874848
That was my favorite part of the app. I guess they didn’t want to update it for the new watch SDK.
  • Never works when it needs to. 1/5

    By deadLights
No way to submit reports. Gets stations wrong all of the time. Long delays to load. Always claims to lose signal when I have full bars. Don’t waste your time.
  • The transit planning app that works best for me 5/5

    By JH SF BA
Among the public transit apps, this seems to be the one that works best for me. I had no difficulty figuring it out for trip planning, then the ui flowed naturally into go mode and reminded me when I needed to get off. When I got on the bus, it prompted me which one of the possible alternatives it actually was (rapid or not) then tracked along the route. When I was about to accidentally wander out of go mode in the ui, it would prompt me. I live in the SF bay area. I used the app on new years eve to plan a bus + bart trip across the area to avoid driving that night. Route and schedule data seemed to be complete and accurate.
  • Best Transit App ever 5/5

    By Linmarsh
I use the App everyday and it is better than google maps when it comes to short cuts and direction 😍
  • Amazing 5/5

  • Great App, needs watch complication. 4/5

    By Dustinsx
Great app for people who regularly take transit and need to know when the next bus or train leaves. Maps apps are good for getting to a place you’ve never been, but Transit is a sidekick for people going about their regular day. Needs an Apple Watch complication. Please make watch complication that shows when the favorite lines near saved locations leave.
  • Ellipses 5/5

    By Handsome John Pruitt
***Update. Hooray! They fixed this!!!*** The app is pretty great, but when information doesn't fit, it just puts an ellipsis with no way of expanding to see the cut off information. Otherwise awesome. But please fix that. Thanks! Hooray! You did fix this!
  • Transit 1/5

Stopped working. Don't show your position to see what trains are working. Need to fix app
  • Solid (still the best for the bay area!) 5/5

Got an Apple watch... Thought there was a watch⌚️app! Solid like grandma's Maytag. Useful like a Swiss Army Knife. 1st install on any device. -nk
  • Incorrect info 2/5

    By Gaweł
The app has gotten really bad when it comes to accuracy. Still somehow useful I guess
  • Awesome App, But A Few Issues 4/5

    By GTAdude18
Totally love this app. Had it for over a year, almost 2 now. I’ve recommended this app to a bunch of people. Living in NYC, this app has been more accurate than any other app the MTA has given the people to use. The only issue I seem to be suffering with is that the GPS will go based on the last location I was in and not my current location. I’m not sure if that’s a bug or it’s suppose to do that. Nevertheless, love the app. Great work!
  • Great app!!!! 4/5

    By rbca98
Honestly it’s worth it to get this app just to read the updates in the App Store because they’re hilarious. But other than that, this app is super helpful! I used it more frequently when I went to school in NYC (go to a different school now) and this app told me exactly when the train I needed to get on was coming, which stop to get off at, and where the train was at whatever moment I checked it. The only complaint that I have is that the app can be a little confusing to navigate but other than that it’s fantastic!! 9.5/10 would recommend!! Keep up the good work :)

What happened to the Apple Watch app?
  • Please bring this back to Apple Watch 3/5

    By Kyarri
I loved this app so much more when I could tap my Apple Watch for the next bus/train. Please bring back that capability.
  • Love that Christmas update note ! 5/5

    By michbak
Great app, and clearly a clever, witty development team. Has there ever been a better version of "'Twas The Night Before Christmas?"
  • Watch? 3/5

    By Noktavo
Useful, but where did the watch functionality go? That was the only reason I used this over anything else.
  • Was great until watch support stopped 3/5

    By 8bitdefender
Please bring back Apple Watch support! Looking at real time transit info on the watch was one of the main ways I used to use this app, now it’s no longer an option.
  • A critical oversight 3/5

    By xxxamazexxx
When you open the app, it will display the scheduled times that the bus is supposed to arrive at your stop. Then it will attempt to download realtime data and show the actual times the bus is coming. Depending on your Internet connection, the app will show you the 'wrong' time for 5 seconds or half a minute, without letting you know that it's still trying to acquire the correct times. I have missed so many buses by trusting this app because it doesn't show the correct times quickly enough. The developer should have the app indicate to the users whether or not the data is up-to-date, instead of unintentionally misleading everyone like this.
  • Descent app 4/5

    By Hylkie
Generally pretty good app once you learn how to use it. Bus times accurate (though walk times to stops tend to be underestimated and I’m a fairly fast walker). If you are not familiar with the bus system, there are some challenges. For example, knowing which stop to stand at when there is one on each corner of an intersection. Also, you need to be familiar with bus route names and their directions when using the next bus options. Planning trips and directions to there options are very useful.
  • Bus times no longer accurate (Chicago) 2/5

    By emarier
In the past few weeks I’ve noticed that the bus arrival times aren’t pulling in real time as often as they used to (seeing the little signal icon after each time). This has caused me to miss buses as I decide between two to get to work based on arrival times. I didn’t realize how much I relied on this app until it stopped being reliable!
  • Fantastic app for gettin around. Room for improvement 4/5

    By RobfromNYC
The real time notifications that are integrated from the transit authorities into this app is great. Nassau county links directly to this app with their app. The real time trouble notifications are great too. This app highly integrates Google directions, so it should have the option for fewer transfers, and/or cheapest option, maybe in a future update. Another option is to choose how long you're willing to walk. Another option can include biking integrated on a trip, if you're not near a bike station, such as a commuter rail trip, or with buses that have racks on the front, but you're 2-4 miles from a destination. A trip like that would need a disclaimer like don't attempt during rush hour or holiday time.
  • Most inaccurate and frustrating app you’ll ever use. 1/5

    By Mr. James D.
Most inaccurate pile of rubbish I’ve ever had the misfortune of using, relying on this will make you late 9/10. I constantly see the app report busses that never come or say I have 3 minutes only to see the bus drive off. I can’t understand how this could possibly be thins inaccurate while relying on a GPS signal.
