Most comprehensive and user-friendly transportation app I've had the pleasure and ease of using 5/5
Most comprehensive and user-friendly transportation app I've had the pleasure and ease of using ( other than google maps) to get from point A to point B.
5 stars!! 5/5
Amazing for MPLS and D.C. 5/5
I've been using this to get around in Minneapolis and now Washington DC and it has been a lifesaver!
The best transit app. 5/5
I don't normally review, but have to give credit where is due. At first this app was not the best, however it has improved and is very accurate and informative. Great job on the improvement. Synchronicity!
Absolutely amazing 5/5
I wish this was a paid app so i could give them money for such an amazing product!
Don't Download 1/5
Doesn't Work. Rarely tells me the right time. The time will count down and then add a couple more minutes
Needs the message function back 5/5
I can't get news about the closings and delays without it and its very worrying
My favorite app! 5/5
This is really an unbelievable app for getting around New York City. I've saved so much time this year because I have advanced knowledge as to when my train or bus is coming in so I can leave my apartment just at the right moment. It doesn't have up to the minute real time info on all subway Lines but it does for many including the ones I use and it's 95% accurate which is pretty amazing.
Best transit app, hands down 5/5
This has everything I've been looking for, and more.
Flaky and unusable 1/5
By New Labber
Every time I try to catch a Brooklyn bus using this app, I end up missing the bus. It's really a shame because I like the interface, but it feels like the data is not refreshing often enough. I might try upcoming versions, and I'm hopeful they get it right. For now, it's a no go
Update Descriptions are 💯👌 5/5
The app works great in NYC when it comes to buses. Subway schedules are off sometimes, but that's a given. The app has information that would take me way too much time to look up individually, all in one concise, good looking package. Get it!
Excellent app 5/5
I live in NY and this app has brought the true meaning of accuracy and efficiency when commuting. The Real-Time feedback is just superb.
Great app that helps me everyday!!! 5/5
Best transit app ever!!!
It's very great. 5/5
I very like for new update, it's use to easy. Thank you Transit App.
Best transit app 5/5
Over the past several years I have tried many transit apps for NYC. This is the ONLY one that works!
Don't get it 1/5
By David NYC UWS
In subway stations with wifi, app says no routes. Really? And why would you use this for buses when Bustime from the MTA is so absolutely accurate??
One of the best apps ever 5/5
I love it—I use it everyday!!
Very useful 5/5
This app is great. It helps me a lot with catching my trains and buses on time when I need them!
Superbly designed and fast 5/5
Transit has been my go-to app since moving to San Francisco - and the latest incarnation is a sheer pleasure to use. It has comprehensive coverage of transit systems so I can find my way around anywhere in the Bay Area. Small touches like the location-sensitive favorites and route list, direction of travel shown on the map, automatic selection of direction of travel based on time of day, and real-time updates with the next 3 times make it my mandatory pre-commute app (and it's so fast I can check for the next bus within 5 seconds). Once you have this, you don't need any other app in most major US cities.
Recommended with extreme post-judice.
accurate bus times!! 5/5
essential to my daily travels, makes boston winter travelling a little bit more bearable ❤️
also, the guy who writes the updates notes is pretty funny. hehe
Best update messages I've ever seen 5/5
But actually, also a very useful app that has always worked perfectly
By Kayla B....
Love this app :) Very useful and efficient.
Keeps me moving 5/5
By Kirk Strauser
Transit is far and away the best app for navigating around San Francisco. I'd be lost (or at least late) without it.
Stellar reliable performance 5/5
100th city for Wien! 5/5
By The Stick
100th city should be Vienna, Austria, consistently ranked as the best livable city in the world plus a public transit system to die for.
PS: I miss the old update copy writer. "What's up guys"? Seriously?
By La Chica de salsa
I never write a review of an application. However, this app I have to say is the best in PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. It gives you the latest on what is happening with our bus/trail/ rail system. I would recommend this to anyone.
As always...amazing 5/5
great app! super useful and i'm very grateful to the devs since it's helped me navigate public transit easily
How about MBTA 4/5
The NYC subway got real time count downs please add MBTA bus and train count downs please and have the bus be live moving that just updating every 3 minutes.
Pretty good! 5/5
The app works well, occasionally it will lag behind on what the real time is, and I'll have to run for the bus. But hey nothing can be perefect!
Almost Perfect 2/5
I basically only use this app for the real-time departures. The green line for Houston, TX is drawn incorrectly with stations placed on the wrong street. Some station names are also wrong, and for some reason they smushed a segment of the purple line together with the green line, and I'm NOT talking about the segment that is supposed to be shared by both lines.
I 💛 the transit team! 5/5
I LOVE the new "Go" feature. Transit is by far the best public transit app out there.
I basically only write 5 star reviews every time for this app because the update notes are so funny
No Bronx bus lines 3/5
This app was great until they removed The Bronx bus lines. Can't use it to find buses nearby in The Bronx; only trains and express buses.
hard to read 2/5
For an app you're supposed to use on the go, display is frustratingly fiddly.
The best app ever. 5/5
This app has an interface like no other. It also supports multiple cities, so no learning a new app. It's "GO" feature is awesome. I use it every day.
Whose fault is it? 2/5
I often don't know if this is the app's fault or CTA's issue but the bus times for the 62 rarely are ever correct. I just used the Timer option to plan a trip today. Got down to the bus stop when it told me to, it acknowledged I had arrived, and it told me the bus was coming. Not so much. Waited for another 10 minutes in the 20 degree weather. I gave this two stars because 1. Occasionally it works and, 2. There's some good ideas in it. Unfortunately, they don't really work. Regardless of whose fault it is that the app doesn't work correctly-it doesn't work correctly. Will be deleting.
Must have! 4/5
Live time alerts are awesome! Good stuff for disabled people! Bravo! Good stuff!
Weird bus locations 4/5
Works well most of the time, sometimes there are ghost busses that ping a location, but the bus never comes. Not sure if its my transit giving misleading info or the app itself. Great app otherwise.
App said 30 minutes from home when I arrived at the station train is no where near. Refreshed and another 30 -_- total waste of my time wasted a whole hour. Not even worth one star.
So close but so far 3/5
This is by far the best transit app I have used; HOWEVER, the inability to set minimum connection times between buses / trains etc is a huge oversight. The app frequently gives me suggested routes that have 1-2m connection times that you couldn't make if you sprinted from the subway to the bus.
Great App but Bad Route Times 3/5
This app is really useful and helps a lot with determining what route to take. I moved from NJ to SF and this app helped me get figure out how to get around in no time. However, I've noticed that times are way too conservative. I've missed several trains I could take because the app didn't consider them as options. So it forces me to check the schedule just in case there's an earlier train I could take.
By Foysal k.
I'm absolutely satisfied with this transit app really amazing ☺️👏👏👏👌😃
GPS if wayyy off 2/5
This gps is so far off. By the time I get to the station the train has already passed by. Please fix the gps on this app.
I get late all the time because of this app... 1/5
After this update, I was always late to the bus because the times would keep changing to 5 mins to 1 min. Please fix this, I live in Van Nuys, Ca
San Francisco Muni Metro times incorrect 1/5
Sadly, I have to give this app one star as it's showing incorrect times for Muni Metro trains. I thought this might be because of the debacle a few weeks ago when all the San Francisco prediction times went offline, but now that service is mostly restored Transit is still showing incorrect data. Other transit apps I've tried are now showing correct times so I'm afraid this problem lies solely with Transit. Let's hope they can fix it soon - in the meantime, I've deleted the app from my phone and switched to Citymapper.
No Taxi Option 1/5
This app is crap, only gives you Uber as an option. Why isn't there a general Taxi time or Lyft
Please fix 2/5
By You should get the game
I live in Denver and recently when the app tells me to leave I leave then I get to a bus stop and it says like "3 minutes till bus arrives" but the bus is already gone and I have to wait for the next one
I take the bus to work every day, and this app is a lifesaver. Makes my timing MUCH easier, and if the bus is running late (or worse, early!) I can adjust as needed. Highly recommended!
Serves its purpose and does it well. 5/5
This app does its purpose amazingly, and then some. If you have to take public transit, this is the app to use! It lets you plan your schedule based on arrival and departure times, has real time updates of the arrival times of the mean of transport you're taking, and is overall extremely useful!
Why no transit systems alerts or closures? 2/5
I was very excited to read that Transit was deploying real-time crowdsourced transit info for the SF Bay Area -- but then discovered that there is no way to get transit system alerts - like when BART closes an entire line (both Monday and Tuesday of this week). How can this app work when it can't even show a major transit issue as reported on the BART.gov website?
