Good for Chicago trains and buses 4/5
Three features I find very useful:
1. Quickly shows bus and train lines near current location, but even better, it recalculates if you drag the map to a destination location. This is helpful to check when a connecting bus will arrive or depart at a particular El train stop.
2. When you click the icon to track the next arrival, it shows you the scheduled or estimated times for subsequent stops on that same run. This helps you figure out your arrival time at your destination.
3. The real-time satellite tracking of bus location is helpful so you can visualize how far away your bus is. Unfortunately, there is no color or icon difference between eastbound or westbound buses on the same route (same goes for trains), which makes it a bit harder to comprehend the visual presentation of the icons.
5 stars for the snarky bilingual release notes if nothing else.
inconsistent ability to track (busses). it said my bus was 14 mins away so i decided to walk. 30 sec later, the bus passes me
-_- sometimes the real time tracker works; sometimes it doesnt
Bart SF Bay Area 1/5
Used the app for over a year... Can't speak for other cities but for the Bart in the San Francisco Bay Area it's terrible. Train times are inaccurate, the specific trains are labeled wrong etc. Makes it difficult to coordinate for work or meetings. Hope this helps
What happened 1/5
It used to be great app... Wonder what happened..If u are in a hurry don't trust...I felt like they are making the time up when there is a problem rather then saying 25 min. It says 10 min... In cold weather u end up waiting long time
Accurate Bus Location Tracker 5/5
The bus location tracking feature is impressively accurate.
Used to be great 2/5
By AppStore admirer
Previous versions had accurate bus icons, now there's no tracking and follows the sometimes inaccurate bus schedule. It seems these updates are taking a step back. Such a shame, I loved this app.
App is very active and full of useful information; great for living in DC.
Fantastic App and Hilarious Updates 5/5
I've never seen more entertaining, engaging, and pleasantly thorough update notes. It makes me want to go back and read all of them. Who writes them? Please tell me he/she writes a blog and I'd love to read it.
Oh and yeah the app itself is perfect, I guess that's important too
Love this app but... 1/5
I wish it gave real-time update notifications to let you know when trains or buses were not running!! Trains were out of service because a tree fell on the track. The app kept on showing trains were running on schedule! ...it took me forever to get home.
Like the interface 5/5
It's simple and effective
Best transit app out there. 5/5
Simple, intuitive with all the functions I wanted.
Great concept but times are wrong 2/5
I loved this app at first until I realized that the times are consistently wrong and Buster was consistently right. Maybe it's better in other cities, but in Chicago it's not working accurately.
"Waze" for transit... not yet 3/5
By Clover the Goat
I can only speak to how this works with the New York City subway. To get truly real-time information on approaching trains, it relies on people to be using the app, and at least on the line I most often use (the accursed F) there doesn't seem to be too many users... or *any*. So it defaults to whatever the official schedule is, which is often off.
That said I found that when I'm on the moving train it does usually give me a pretty accurate prediction of when I should arrive at my destination.
It doesn't allow you to easily indicate when you've switched to another train, like if you see an express on a common platform, so I think that contributes to inaccuracy. I've noticed that when I try to manually indicate that, I don't even have the option in the right direction, like I'll still be headed uptown but it will only allow me to choose a downtown train.
I think the extreme complexity of the New York City subway--combined with spotty Wi-Fi only available briefly at the stations--make this app a challenge. I would imagine it would work better with above ground transit.
I appreciate that it will send notifications about big delays in the system, but I find it sometimes displays multiple copies of the same delays, spaced out a few minutes apart. I'm not sure if this is due to the MTA system sending out multiple messages, or an issue with the app, but it can be kind of annoying.
GREAT APP 5/5
By Choking chicks ™
The best I've used after using several apps this is by far the best keep up the great work
Using it daily! 5/5
Very accurate and handy.
Why aren't the times ever set ever accurate!!! 2/5

Waste. Good thing it's free
Simply Amazing 5/5
Exactly what I just said. Amazing
Helpful in Chicago 5/5
By Music Nymph
I give it 5 stars for the witty update notes. Seriously though, it helped this transit newbie when visiting Chicago recently.
So this app is a big liar. App says my bus is 4 minutes away so I decided to skip the bx16 and wait for bx34 at 10:44 pm Saturday night march 18.4 minutes became 0 minutes and I'm waiting and waiting no bus in front of me. Then I looked again and the next bus is in 30 minutes. I'm working tomorrow morning at 6 am again so three blocks walk fr9km bx16 is not desirable , j will never trust this app. Deleted in my phone and this is not the first time it happened.
It's okay when it comes to some bus schedules but MOST of the time when you check it might say 15 minutes then it goes to zero and it actually starts counting from the second scheduled time which could possibly have you waiting there for an hour when You could of taken another route ... ANNOYING especially when I'm late to school .
Wish I Had a 6 Star 5/5
I Wish I Had 6 start for such an amazing incredibly fantastic app it works amazing with the bus in CT, I Couldn't recommend it enough.
It was great when i first got it. But then after an update or two its showing me trains that are nowhere near me. And my location isnt where i actually am. If anyone knows how to help me fix the problem i would appreciate it.
Manhattan Must Have 5/5
By Nina's thoughts
Just took first trip to Manhattan and this app rocked. Great help in quickly navigating to all destinations. Great way to learn subway and gain confidence.
not real time 1/5
i think it's calculated, it never showed actual info for me.
I used Transit extensively while living in Tampa. App is very well designed. Made my public transportation needs effortless.
I live in a smaller city now however, transit is still used when I'm in a bigger one.
By Ghost writer 57
This app is good don't get me wrong it's phenomenal but the only problem is that it doesn't specify which way the bus is coming and going from. This can be something they improve in the future
As of today this app isn’t benneficial for what I needed. If you live in and regulary use the CARTA trans system in Chattanooga it could still be useful, but not for the occasional city visitor. The account setting and bike transit information is nonexistent as well.
When I zoom out and move the map it crashes. I've tried on cell and wifi but it does the same thing. Love the app, and if you can get this fixed I'll give 5 stars on the next release!
Best APP for NYC TRAVELING 5/5
Have not been lead astray yet ‼️
Real time bus routes and Schedule based train service. 5/5
YOU CRUSHED MY PUB TRANS SOUL 4/5
A HUGE FAVOR BUT WOULD THE TEAM BE ABLE TO ADD MONTEBELLO BUS LINES TO THE APP? ITS IN THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH THIS ONE ADDITION OF THIS TRANSIT AGENCY WOULD SAVE MYSELF AND OTHERS A WHOLE LOT OF TIME. IS TEDIOCRICY A THING OF THE PAST? I JOKE BECAUSE "TEDIOCRICY" ISNT A WORD BUT YOU GET MY VIBES. XXO
By Dana tro
Times aren't real time like they used to be. It's not accurate except for buses. This app doesn't seem to work with the New York City trains and I'm learning if I continue to rely on this I will always be late
Best transit app 5/5
Very convenient to use. Has all the latest schedule info for MBTA busses and commuter rail.
Trouble Updating 1/5
By Jay's 6s
The most recent update does not work. It fails and no amount of retrying will update it. Poor quality control.
Still the best commute app! 5/5
By Myron L
MTA should reward you guys for doing an absolute better job than what they were doing.
Battery drain 3/5
I really like this app, however it's a real drain on my battery. Very inconvenient as I have to disable location services entirely to keep my phone charged while at work during the day
Great interface bus wrong info 2/5
Great interface, useless for bus predictions in greater Boston. For example: time will go from 5 to 0 to 4 with no bus.
Last review: Love the interface and abilities, but often gives erroneous information in the greater Boston area. For example, I'm waiting at the Silver Line stop now (SL4 and SL5) watching the app tell me twice now that the bus is here, when it's not. The bus just came and the app tells me it'll be here in 17 minutes. I've triple checked that I'm looking at the right bus and the right direction.
The best for Seattle 5/5
I use this app all the time in Seattle! It's usually pretty dead on as to when the buses are coming. Love it.
Recommend to everyone in NYC 5/5
I usually don't write reviews for apps, but I use this app daily and just wanted to say thank you. There's always something wrong with the 6 line and this app allows me to check before I leave. I've gotten 5 people so far to download it as well and they all love it. So thank you!
Also, love the constant updates!
A must for public transit riders! 5/5
Want to know when your train or bus is arriving? How about if there are enough bikes or open spaces at one of the local city biking terminals?
This app has all of that covered and continues to grow in its coverage all the time! You owe it to yourself to at least have this app on hand so that you can benefit from the way it makes public transit info so much simpler and watch as the team's new ideas and hard work continue to make the app better every day.
Thank you transit team!
Download this app, you won't regret it 5/5
If you use transportation systems, download this app because it makes your life easier.
If you don't use transportation systems and are 100% car bound, download it anyway just for the release notes. With each update you will be ROTFLYAO for the rest of the day. I promise.
My choice for tracking public transportation 5/5
Here in the Bay Area, not all public transportation systems have vehicle tracking to know what time your bus will come, and that's difficult because some agencies only provide the times where the buses leave the depot/wherever and arrive at their destination, like Tri Delta Transit. Unfortunately, Tri Delta Transit is not supported on this app, but nonetheless, this is a pretty cool app to use in other parts of the Bay Area, like Oakland, or San Francisco. Within the remote parts of California, it's nice to see how other people use this app to notify me where their bus is located, so I can be ready at the right time. I hope to see Tri Delta Transit implemented in the app in the future but for now, it's an amazing concept created by people with good sense of humor.
I take the bus into the Texas Medical Center in Houston everyday. This app has been essential to my commute for years. Can't recommend it enough
5 Stars 5/5
Don't bother with any other transit Apps. Use this app or Be square, late, lost and a million more random things with another janky transit app. This app is perfection
Love it 5/5
Best transit app hands down.
Great app even greater update notes 5/5
Release notes FTW!!! 5/5
Seriously they get an instant 5 stars from their creative release notes. Definitely stands out from others apps who just say "Bug fixes." Also the app is a wonderful tool for those using public transit. Definitely my go to app for bus and streetcar times.
I just love these update notes!
THE BABY IS A HIT!! 5/5
By Gamer Le Person
I usually absolutely do not review apps because who has time for that? 😭 bad, I know. But this app, especially this update? Oh this is a dope update. Thank you guys for all that you do you've saved this New Yorker from waiting five years for a train when there are many other alternatives now that I know their timetables. 💕 you guys rock. Keep up the fantastic work
