The shows get cut off at the end so you never can see the end of your show. There’s not a lot of episodes available to watch, but there seems to be a lot of 1&2min shorts. No one wants to see those. There have been several updates since I downloaded but nothing changes....still clipped episodes and no variety. The only worse TV app is A&E!
Cant login to more providers 1/5
I want to log in with my provider but the app doesn't do anything when I press the more providers button. I know Frontier is a supported provider but the app simply wont allow me to sign in to do anything

The Apple TV needs to get its log in figured out. Same user name and password I’ve used on direct tv forever now it’s saying I’m not authorized. Bunch of crap!!!

Ever since the new iPhone came out and they had an update, this app does not work on my iPhone 6, iPod 6, or iPad mini 3, they obviously only care about the new iPhone and Apple TV. I sent comments and questions and tried to get assistance, to no avail. They still receive compensation through my cable provider for a service a don’t receive. Rip-off. Extremely disappointed!

I personally really like Travel Channel, and having it on my phone is great. But, there are something I want changed. First of all, captions. You don’t get a choice for captions. I have gone to the captions button, turned them off, but they still stay there. And they aren’t on time! They are always a sentence ahead of what is being said in the show. Also, ads. Not the ads being there, but “Ad 1 of 6” for example. Some it will say “Ad 6 of 6” on the third ad. Also, they are always showing ads for the HGTV app, Food Network app, DIY app, and even the Travel Channel app. What do you think we’re watching the ads on, buddy?
Can’t watch full episodes 2/5
So I’m writing another review because now this is happening at every episode of every show. It cuts off the last 5 minute of the show. Every time. There is no ending. I believe it is because the ads will over play and continue playing into your show time. So once the 7 ads are done you’ve gotten showtime cut off the end of your show. If it glitches and there are more ads then there are supposed to be then you are just screwed. This is extremely frustrating. Please fix this issue. What’s the point of watching a show if the last 5 or so minutes are cut off?

Read the darn reviews left by actual customers. Not the generic 5 star ones you leave for yourself and you’ll see PEOPLE CANNOT LOGIN!!!
Once I get the app open I try to search for my cable provider and no matter what letter of the alphabet I type in it tells me there are no providers that start with that letter. I can’t use the app at all. I think that would mean zero stars would be more appropriate.

This app’s On Demand shows are edited to the point that the content is seriously affected. Josh Gates Expedition Unknown’s episode titled “Viking Secrets” was edited from over 43m to 35m to allow increased commercials during the holiday season. This is only 1 example of the Travel Channel’s attempt to sell more commercial space.
I only follow a few shows but can state that Ghost Adventures, The Dead Files and Expedition Unknown episodes are normally edited post production an additional 1-2m creating a standard 42m stream time. Closing narratives are cut off mid sentence which means the final outcome of investigations are unknown unless you purchase the episodes via iTunes or Amazon.
I have more than 25 network On Demand apps installed on my devices. No other network has this blatant commercialism of their shows.
6-7 Commercials Every 3-4 Minutes 1/5
I realize commercials pay the bills (as do we as paying subscribers), but this model is unworkable. After seeing the same 6-7 commercial at least 5 times, the end of the show is cut off. Get in line with your competitors and reduce the number of commercials. As for me, I just deleted the app because Travel Channel’s app is unwatchable. .
Login Never Retains 2/5
Seemingly, with every app update (Travel Channel, DIY, Food Network, etc.), we are prompted to login once again to our provider. This becomes increasingly annoying, especially since the apps are being updated so frequently. Perhaps this is an IOS issue and not a developer issue. Regardless, investigate the issue and provide a solution.

For some reason the app glitches when you pick “more providers”, it takes 30 seconds and then when I type in RCN it can’t find it. It’s found it before just fine. Even if you type in Verizon it says it can’t find it, so it must be some sort of bug. I hope it gets fixed.
Update: The oddest thing: I redownloaded the app The because I remembered one of the notifications asked if I wanted it to use my RCN subscription. Before I said yes and yet it didn’t work. So this time I said no and I was able to find RCN under “more providers” and log in, no problem. Weird.

I download the app to watch my shows while I’m on the road I have SRT as my provider and when I’m at home I can watch the Travel Channel on the cable box but when I login to this app it says I do not have this channel service seems to me that there is no communication between this app and cable providers. After reading all the reviews on here it seems the app has many issues it’s a shame I love the Channel.

I used to enjoy this app. However for some reason my provider isn’t coming up any more. I can’t find TDS any where. Sure I can log in to the website but why is it disabled on the app? Until this gets fixed my review will remain.

I downloaded the Travel Channel app and to my surprise neither Josh Gates’ Destination Truth or Finding Beasts are streamed on the app. Why are two of the absolute best shows on Travel Channel NOT on the app? Suggestion: ADD these shows!!!
You and Optimum mad at each other ? 1/5
I tried it over and over on your website and even went as far as downloading the app to watch Ghost Adventures but I can’t even get the log in page for Optimum to load anywhere. Every other providers log in page pops up and the same goes for the app. But when I press the Optimum button, it tells me on the website “the connection has been reset” and it can’t be my connection because I have other things running in the background and in your app, it’s just frozen on the “please wait while we send you to your provider to log in” screen. Come on guys. Fix this ASAP. Especially before 9 tonight. NEW EPISODE ALERT !

I’ve sign in on the desktop site and it let’s me log in just not load the video, but here... Jeez! You can even find one provider... just the main ones. Fix it or delete it... one or two...

Love this app but since the “ bug fix” I can’t sign in to my providers and other channels also that is the I guess the same format for your guys apps. Push more providers it goes to a search bar and no list I type in my provider and it says not found. Please fix I love my ghost adventures on Saturday.

There are no other providers besides the ones specifically stated in the app description, despite it also stating that there are “100s more.” The search providers feature won’t look up anything, I tried the whole alphabet and it has nothing else listed. It also takes a bit longer than expected to load. It’s fine if my provider isn’t one of those compatible but I can’t even find out.

I Accidentally press sign in with provider had to uninstall and reinstall so it wouldn't go to settings automatically where provider is not listed. I can now sign in.

I love this app, the only problem is the crashes! This app crashes mostly when I lay my phone sideways to watch full screen. It will crash 90% of the time. I hope they fix this soon. Watching on an IPhone 7 plus

Other networks have Direct Now listed as a cable provider? Why doesn't the Travel Channel? Granted, Direct Now isn't the best way to get Cable television, but it's better than nothing. Would the Travel Channel please consider adding Direct Now as a cable provider so we can view the Travel Channel on the app. Thanks!
