I loved this app until they stopped supporting audiobooks. Could someone please explain why? I love listening to books at work, while driving, etc., so I was very disappointed when that feature was stopped.

Tune in app was a great app with audio books. Now they are average. I am unsubscribing. I can listen to podcasts and music anywhere. The reason I paid for this app was for the audio books. Can they just take it away from us and keep our money? Can I get a refund for the year I paid.

I purchased the premium subscription for 1 year and was really excited about it. TuneIn offered audiobooks and had a decent selection. They didn’t have as much as Audible but it was still a good deal. Two months in my 1 year subscription they no longer carry audiobooks, and because I signed up for a year I can’t get my money back. They offer podcasts, some commercial free radio, and some sportscasts on the free version so I have yet to figure out what exactly I’m paying the premium for. If you’re big in to sportscasts then it might be worth it to you but I feel like I got ripped off.

I have Premium, and the number of stupid commercials is outrageous. Especially the number of ridiculous sports commercials. You should understand that certain listening audiences hate sports. If you must do commercials for a paid service, at least make them relevant to the listening audience, and not so FN repetitive-- come on guys before I cancel my subscription!! Jeeeez!!
Update: Now they just cancelled the audiobook service without notifying us- lots of good books half listened to just yanked from the service. I spent an hour trying to figure out where my books had gone and then I searched the web only to find that they cancelled the service. Total waste of my time- cancelled the Premium service- thanks for nothing!

I’ve been using this app for years but K-Dry Station is no longer playing. It gets stuck at commercials, please fix.
So after the last update, the ads play but the station doesn’t start. I’m very close to giving up on this app and moving to another one. Please fix.

Listening to my favorite streaming station in the car, sections will repeat sometimes multiple times. It does not transition well from cellular data to WiFi. I recently switched cell providers, and while the ads will always play, the station will not stream on cell data unless I start the stream on WiFi first, then switch to cell data. I downloaded added Easy Radio today and it doesn’t seem to have a problem starting the stream of my fav station on cell data. That tells me that TuneIn has the problem, not the station or my carrier.

Really happy to have MSNBC now. I have been listening to CNN everyday-love having both. Something has been happening with CNN. It goes silent for ~30 seconds to a minute frequently. It is not my connection. What is causing this?

This was my favorite app, but now that the audiobooks are gone I've canceled my subscription as it is no longer worth the cost. TuneIn was an app I recommended to all my friends, but not anymore. It had 5 stars, but now it's just 1.

I used to love TuneIn radio, until they got rid of audiobooks. I mean I was so excited listen to some more books. So I save up some money to buy premium but the audiobook where all gone.

I entered "Free Trial" and now I see where they billed me $108. I never entered credit card but they charged through I tunes. Trying my best to cancel but they will not allow me to log in.

First off I love tune in, discovered it when I bought my Tesla and use it quite a bit. The radio streaming and books make premium worth the cost.
Unfortunately the app in the Tesla and the iPhone app need work. The iPhone app is buggy, it crashes, and often won’t let me access downloaded content on my phone. Also when listening to a book, it doesn’t keep track of where I am or let me book mark chapters. The service is great but the app needs help.

It was great for me until this last update now I can only hear my shows if I am on WIFI. This has resulted in my inability to get the shows I enjoy.

Many users might not be big Audiobook listeners but I am, and considering the high monthly prices for every other audiobook app out there (like Audible or Audiobooks), TuneIn was the best option! I remember when I started using this app, there were a few users and it clearly needed some app work, but I was positively surprised to find the vast collection of audiobooks in the app (with the premium subscription). TuneIn didn’t require you to pay for every new audiobook you listen to but had free amount of audiobooks for the monthly subscription price, apart from all the other radio, news stations and podcasts available. Since I only listen to Audiobooks and Podcasts, there is really no reason for me to keep paying for this app. This is a hue disappointment! I think that if TuneIn would have advertised their audiobook potential they would’ve received a vast amount of new users and a lot would have preferred it over the established Audible/Audiobooks app. If you decide to bring the audiobook section back let me know! I’ll be happy to pay for the subscription!

I checked out this app and quickly removed. It was free to check out. The next I know it has been charging me for a subscription for months now. Be very careful with downloading and agreeing to any free trials with this app.

They took out their audiobooks so now it’s all free content you can get other places. Their premium is a joke. Just a waste. Trying to get a refund.

App used to be the best app for audiobooks. Unfortunate TuneIn does not support audiobooks and did so without notification. Since both my husband and myself suffer from disabilities that prevent us from reading conventionally this app was perfect to still enjoy books of all kinds at a very affordable price. Now that they have cancel this part of the app we can no longer continue our subscription. Shame on Tunein for removing this without notification or input from your customers. Unfortunately o cannot give anything less than 1 star.

I started using TuneIn for a specific podcast but picked up the premium version to enjoy audiobooks. This feature made TuneIn a bargain. I am 3/4 of the way through a book and the audiobook feature is no longer there. But I can’t find any method of communicating my questions with the company. What happened???
Used it all the time for audiobooks. No more audiobooks no more subscription for me. Cancelled it today and deleted app. Liked it when I had it though.
I was so excited to fine this app, it had unlimited audiobooks for a flat fee. Then they took all the books away I am leaving the app I had told everyone about it very disappointed!!

Removed audiobooks from your streaming service, this is the only reason I upgraded to the premium app. I’m very upset and want a prorated refund. The app is good but this is a “bait and switch”.

I signed up for a 1 year subscription a few months back, exclusively for the unlimited audiobooks they were advertising, and the fact that they had a great cost benefit vs audible. Today I learned that they decided to pull that feature - probably before I had ever bought the subscription- and didn’t even have the fortitude to tell their customers. I had to google the news through a third party!
Slimy business practice right there - no two ways about it.
Used to Enjoy, Now I Will Not Use Anymore 1/5

I have been a TuneIn subscriber on and off for several years. I used to enjoy the service very much and felt the premium subscription had a lot of value.
On January 12, I subscribed again. I noticed some of the previous premium stations were missing, but I let that slide. Then on the morning of January 16, I opened the app to listen to a saved audiobook (which was a part of the premium membership). It was gone. In fact, all my saved audiobooks were gone.
I contacted customer service and was told that on January 15, they no longer offered audiobooks—and that was news to me. There was no advance notice this significant portion of the premium membership would disappear. Had I known, I would t have subscribed.
I requested a refund as I purchased a service I wasn’t receiving. I was told I couldn’t receive one.
It is wring that a company would offer a service, I would pay for the service, then they eliminate a significant portion of it without any advance notice.
I used to enjoy TuneIn, but now I will never recommend it. And I will tell all my friends and family about their practices.
