All calls go to India, where no matter what you say, or what you ask, they pick a sentence off of their one page script and read it to you. Infuriating.

Please be aware, this company will discriminate towards you depending on your address, insurance, and even race! They will also deactivate your account even with small issues. Do yourself a favor and go to a real rental company like Hertz, Enterprise, or Black & White Car Rental.

I've only had 1 bad experience with Turo. Some of that is because I rented a car with no reviews. I was stranded for 3 hours at the airport because of it. 6 hours after I needed the car they helped me get a different vehicle.
Other than that, I've used the app many times since and it is great! You get a great price and get to pick your car! I like that I can plan my fuel costs and everything! Half or more of any other rental company.

Do not use this app they make it seem as if it’s as simple as putting in information. But they have to approve you or deny you to use the service. By the way if you’re black your getting denied automatically. This the worst I mean the worst company you could ever rent with.

This app is genius! It gives you everything you need EXCEPT for the breakdown of the rate and charges when they tell you a request and total.
They’ll let you know X car is requested from time 1 through time 2 for $X dollars... however, it doesn’t tell you what $X dollars is made of. I’d like to know how much Per day I’m renting my car for, and make sure that all applicable surcharges are indeed added.
This info IS provided AFTER the rental is completed, but I’d like to know before hand without having to call the Customer Service line.
Aside from that - great way to make extra money and I love it!

I was hit when I was in a car, sent photos, police report, any information that was needed I was able to provide, next thing you know I get an email stating that I have to pay for the damages. Turo customer support is the absolute worst. Will not be using this crap ever again.

Ive used Turo to both rent my car and rent someone else’s. Each experience has been nothing but great. The one thing that stand out the most is how Turo is I’ll call you in the event someone cancels and they help you book another vehicle. Turo stay great
Great Money/ Terrible Customer service 1/5
I’m a owner and can honestly say this has been a great 2nd income. Unfortunately when I was faced with my first accident from a renter TURO wanted to have nothing to do with it. Customer service was horrendous, delayed responses via email, you can never get ANYONE on the phone and the insurance your asked to get is worthless.
Reimbursements are limited to 4 days at $30 per day while your car is in the shop (which they don’t specify).
It’s been a terrible experience trying to get my car repaired when I was not even the one who damaged it.

Beware, this works for short term rentals only 2/5
There is no loyalty points for renting cars longer or more than once. I rented a car for a month and unfortunately needed to rent longer, however the owner did not accept because the car needed maintaince. Since I was pass the month mark of having the car I would have got a significant discount and I called support to see if they could've me a discount for my next car. They offered no such deal and only recommended me to refer my friends to get $25 credits. What a bunch of BS.

Turo takes way too much money off the top. In the long run, you aren’t getting enough money for the miles and damage to your car.
I received a request for my car less than 24 hours and tried to decline but accidentally hit accept. I was charged $50 for this mistake that took 2 seconds to correct.
No compassion from the support team or management. Horrible experience.

So, twice now I will have requested a booking and Turo will tell me one reasonable price. Then when I get a confirmation from the owner, the price jumps up! What the heck guys?!? It’s very annoying and makes me not want to use this platform. I’m v peeved.

I'll be honest, I was a little skeptical about Turo when I saw the prices and saw how easy, user friendly, but most of all attractive the website/app were. I rented my first car and it was none other than "Godzilla" ...a Nissan GT-R I definitely have to say thanks to Martin Ochoa in the LA County/Anaheim area he made the experience what it was and Turo brought him to me. Thanks again Turo and Martin, I definitely know where to rent cars from.

- Bugs in UI that affected my booking

Please don’t download this application, if you are in traffic and late by 15 mins,they are taking your money by adding late fee of 50 bucks and admin fee of 25 bucks. Admin fees means customer support fees which will be charged to your account after returning the car, they are ripping you off. So please don’t use this application 🙏🏻

Do not use Turo- so sketchy 1/5
The first few times we used Turo things went fine, but the last two were horrible. The car we picked up had major mechanical issues and was leaking oil everywhere. We asked Turo to step in and help and they completely abandoned us. You have to judge a service by how they respond when things go wrong, and Turo totally failed. We wasted a ton of money and it almost ruined our trip.
Doubt I'll be going back to the chains after discovering Turo. Cannot beat the cost and convenience.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE 1/5
I was hoping for a convent, user-friendly way to rent cars. I set up an account with Turo and had a great experience with my first rental. Then it was downhill after that. My account was put on hold for verification for over a month! Customer support is an absolute JOKE! It's like pulling teeth. Even with all the proper documentation, over a month later, my account is now declined. I will never recommend this app to anyone. If you need a rental, just go the traditional route with Enterprise, Avis, Hertz, or any other LEGITIMATE business. My mistake...

I waisted around 15 hours for an approval and then when i called in they denied without any recourse to correct. Makes no sense because i rent frequently from other rental companies. Text customer service was rude and they deactivated my account for no stated reason. Why? How hard is it to inform customers of your reasons and policy decisions. Make corrected consumers out of them. Terrible business because customer satisfaction is ZERO PRIORITY.

Was renting my car through them for a while. Then a renter took my car off roading or something and bent a rim, dented my fenders and destroyed my interior. I told Turo about it and they refused to pay for the damages. They say they insure your car but they will not pay when it comes down to it. I ended up eating the whole bill and had to sell the car.
If you are renting cars through them great! You can beat the crap out of the cars and there will be no repercussions. If you have a car and you want to rent it out I would avoid them if you like your car at all.

Love this app. I use it every time I’m in LA. I can request a car at 11 PM for a trip the next day at 8 AM and will always find someone to deliver. Great service.
