Search function does not work 4/5

In the U-verse app on my iPhone and iPad, the search function does not work. For example, I tap on the magnifier lens icon, type in a search term, even just a channel name such as "AMC", and tap on the Search button. I only get the message "No shows, channels, or cast were found for 'AMC'". However, when I search using the Search option in my U-verse receiver, I get results. This problem appears to be due to a bug in the iOS apps.

Despite having an account, the app never lets me sign in, always reporting a different version of an error. The overall DirectTV experience is horrendous. The service is spotty and customer service abominable.

Why haven’t you guys yet made available This app for a desktop computer . Since you’ve made it “ BETTER “ it doesn’t work on my desktop anymore I used to watch all my movies on my 21 inch iMac now iam reduced to watching them on my six inch iPhone. So guess what if things don’t change, COMCAST HERE I COME !!!!!! My phone service internet and cable are all AT&T But this is a deal breaker .

Sometimes I forget about this app, then I wonder how I ever thought about watching television without it!

Every time we try to sign in, it tells us our username cannot be found in their system. So I reset and it comes back as the same one I’ve been trying over and over. I can’t even log in this stupid app to pay my bill.

App is terrible. Worked for a week. Now I can’t log in. Always says connection is down or something. iPhone with current iOS. Get serious. Wish I never switched to ATT.

Live tv option sounds great. However, it isn't a good option for watching tv. Often doesn't work. Sometimes if it is working the performance is poor. Closes unexpectedly. Video is usually delayed and doesn't sync with audio. This doesn't deserve one star

The u-verse service is completely awful! If I could give it 0 stars, I would. The upload speed is ridiculously slow, with no way of upgrading, and that is when it is working at all. The internet service is constantly dropping, making the tv goes in and out and even when the signal is working, the WiFi is atrocious. I have called customer service numerous times and they have repeatedly upgraded my system or switched the WiFi settings and guess what? The service keeps getting worse. My husband can no longer work from home because the service has gotten so bad. Don’t waste you time with this service. My family is planning on switching as soon as possible.

I am always on the go. I use this to confirm a time a show is on, record an episode/series, watch on demand, etc. I even find myself using this at home for a guide and the remote option is AWESOME!!!

I’m mostly using it when the wife has us out doing things before football, and I’d end up missing the first part of the game. Yeah, it’s a smaller “TV”, but I️ don’t miss kickoff anymore!!

Many of time the real time play is delaying, even with high speed internet available. while video play, the screen is not optimal for iphone X. really a thumb down app

This app is absolutely horrible. When it does decide to work, only a few of the channels will play live. On demand just never works. I spend a lot of time out in my shop, and I watch a lot of tv on my iPad. Well I did before I got this app anyway. They obviously don’t care enough to fix it and it’s driving be straight back to Comcast. Their service is a lot more expensive, but at least their stuff works. I would give this zero stars if I could. It’s a waste of space.

Decent app, one major criticism 3/5
App works fine so far. One major thing that should be changed. I often use my iPad/iPhone to view the guide so that I can select a program to watch on TV. To do this I have to tap the triple dot next to the “Watch” button and select Watch on TV. This is a common activity and gets tedious very quickly! Please make “Watch on TV” and “Watch on App” separate buttons. Thank you!
Edit: Search doesn’t appear to work at all, when searching for popular shows or people it always comes back with empty results. Removing a star for that.

I was using the app on my iPad for a long time, especially the OnDemand feature. Then poof! No more ability to watch anything but Live tv. I can watch my tv for that. Watching On Demand is completely disabled. Called ATT and they said to keep checking back for it to be working again. That was a couple of months ago! Ridiculous.

This is by far the worst app for streaming I have used. There is constant buffering and the programming freezes. I left Spectrum and came back to ATT and this is what I get? At least their app worked when I had connectivity. This useless app doesn’t do a dam thing for the user except waste time. F for failure.
This app is a complete joke compared to what Netflix and Amazon are doing. Can’t watch recorded shows or access on demand unless you are at home and reset your DVR once a month apparently. The only thing this app can do is watch select live TV channels.
Still Really Needs Help 1/5
For some reason, the grid listings after the next 7 days are not showing. Although the grid shown on the box and TV is nearly two weeks out, this app is extremely limited. Is this normal? If so, it shouldn't be. They should match. TV Guide does a better job than AT&T, having grids that are a full two weeks ahead. Not good at all. Who is responsible and why isn't this matching? This continues to be the situation as of November 14, 2017. Why isn’t it better??

Other than you having AT&T service and trying to get on the U-verse app it's great. I use it on my work phone that has Sprint service and it works amazing when I use it with my AT&T mobile service there are always glitches and the streaming is never consistent. I thought it was my service but then if I use HBO GO or Netflix or Hulu it streams just fine on my AT&T network. I wish they could get this fixed as it is a great deal especially if you have AT&T U-verse like I do as well as AT&T wireless with unlimited data when you use the U-verse app. Unfortunately with all the glitches and skips in streaming it's not worth watching on my AT&T phone

I was able to watch a tv program on my iPad while my husband was watching something else on tv. No more. All I can do now is record. Or watch football! The watch option is gone. What happened? This is a waste!

Great But Needs a la carte Channels 5/5
We were first U-Verse customers in our area 10 yrs ago - great picture - fast, the best in changing channels - very reliable - great at recording shows - att keeps software updated.
HOWEVER continues to have many channels we Do Not Even Want on our system much less pay for. ATT needs to stay ahead of composition by going to a la carte channels. If not we will be chancing to one of the new options.

I do love how we are able to schedule shows when we are able to schedule them. I just wish we are able to watch shows that we recorded through the app as we. If I am traveling and wanted to catch up on my shows I am not able to do this. I have to wait till I can get home to watch them. I do hope that this feature will become available soon.
