Love the App when it works- Hate it when it doesn’t work. I can watch Fox but OAN only part of the time! Why? Manipulation by AT&T?
This could possibly be the worst app in the universe. That, alone, is not a constructive criticism. It is fair to say, however, that the live view content, which was my motivation for downloading the app, doesn’t perform to a high standard that you’d expect from a conglomerate with an unimaginable amount of resources. It works unpredictably and intermittently. It lags, glitches, catches up to itself with overlapping audio or simply won’t load the selected program/channel at all. This could stand a complete re-work.

So happy to have this app while I am wintering in Florida. I am able to listen to what I want on my IPad or phone with earbuds. Here with my mother and husband who are late sleepers and the tv might wake them up. Also a godsend when they want to monopolize the tv with shows they like. My husband dislikes the tv in general.
They both hate cable news. Our condo tv does not carry some channels I like so U-verse is super. Thanks, U-verse !!!

Bizzarely frustrating, with a terrible, cheap looking user-interface and with so many bugs and crashes you can forget watchig anything all the way through. I found my video completely crashing everytime I switched to full screen, what a joke.

I have literally never used an app as bad as this one. IF I can get it to stream a program at all (usually get errors ranging from not available, not a valid token or too many devices streaming) it freezes and repeats multiple times during one broadcast. The station selection is horrible. No locals at all. It’s awful that a company of their size has this bad of a product. The Brighthouse/Spectrum app has this beat all day!! Their customer service assured me I could use this app and wouldn’t need another receiver. False! I switched to AT&T based on that falsehood. Stupid me!!

Away from home? 1/5
I’ve tried everything.... updates, reinstalling apps, resetting and rebooting gateway and devices, different phones/iPads... but it doesn’t make a difference, the uverse app still thinks I am ‘away from home’... so frustrating.
Works well with one receiver, have to reattach to receiver every time I open it. Yes that’s a pain but worth the trouble
No recordings available on my home network. Dismal. 1/5
I cannot watch my own recorded shows on my iPad. (Bed ridden). All competition has it. Not only the app is worthless , but U-verse is not a service I plan to keep because of this. That’s it !

Search tool NEVER returns a channel or a show. 1/5
I search for a show that I know is on tonight or want to jump to a channel using the search tool the result is ALWAYS empty.
The most watched in my home.
I don’t like that I can’t watch all of my DVR shows on this App. It only allows some to be viewed

So you’re out. You remember you forgot to record something. Great! Launch the ATT app. It won’t work because it needs an update. Well crap. Update. Log in! Tried numerous passwords as I’m not at home. Don’t want to change the password as so many things use it automatically. Account locked. Show not recorded. Wonderful. One more thing to add to the growing pile of ATT gripes. And I used to defend and promote them.
Direct TV Pushed- Does not Work 1/5
Don’t download—Direct TV pushed this app and I downloaded but cannot log in. Not knowing if I was using the correct credentials I recreated my log in and password but the app still errors. If I did not know better I would say this app has been corrupted with malware. Regardless it does not work. Interestingly after several attempts the Direct TV app started working again...so maybe AT&T knows their app is broken.
U-verse App 4/5
I love this app and I use it everyday. It sometimes won’t connect and I have to close out the app and reopen it several times. It also at times will keep playing even after I have stop viewing live TV. Minor bugs but great app when it works.

The latest update removed the ability to swipe left to cancel a future recording. And still after all these years, I can’t watch recordings on my phone.

Searching through the guide always gets me zero results, but being able to record on the go is really nice. Would be nice too if you could watch on the app what’s on your dvr. If I’m home, I’m using my tv, not the app on my phone. Who wouldn’t??? Fix the searching and enable dvr on the road. Then it’s 5 stars.

Downloaded the app and it worked fine at first. Now it's telling me I can't watch anything because I have exceeded the amount of simultaneous streaming available. ( What ever that means ) Help 😩

For months now when attempting to login a “Login Error” message is displayed: “The U-Verse mobile service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.” Needs a bug fix/update badly.
Remote function is a joke 1/5
If you are wondering whether or not to download this app don’t bother.Don’t get me wrong I love AT&T. That being said, I keep getting the same response every time I try and use the remote function error 3000, network not found.(just trying set up the remote function) I downloaded to mainly use the remote function as you can not watch your recordings. I can schedule a recording just fine from my actual remote so why use the app for that purpose. Please fix this capability or add ability to watch recordings from the app.(preferable both) Also I will mention this is the second time I’ve edited my review to get something done. So they obviously don’t care out the app side of things.

I have used this app for about a year. It worked well for a time, but has been unusable for about a month. The video will stream for awhile and then stops and the screen goes gray with an error message. Once it stops, it will not restart for hours. Then the cycle of frustration starts again.
Should issue refunds. I am not likely to renew the contract when it ends.
It is always disconnecting and asking me to change to channel 9560, however it works very well, when it’s working. I wish there’s a way to work the volume?

Is not very good and set up is a bear, they really struggle with customer service.

Uses all your data, it’s slow it skips the only news channel it really gets is fox it’s always choppy I can never get a good 5 mins straight of good tv terrible service it’s so mechanically frustrating

I really want to like this infuriating app. However I can’t. It won’t allow me to. I can’t watch one program without it freezing, shutting down, error messages from a-z, and so on.
I can watch any and all other video apps without one problem. So what’s going on AT&T? There is no excuse for such lousy service.

This is a major difference between U-verse and xfinity. Xfinity app lets you watch your recordings, U-verse does not. Let’s fix that, eh?
Also, it tells me I am “away from home”even when I’m on my U-verse home network.
Also, it jumps, skips, fast forwards and freezes a LOT. I honestly have a hard time believing how a company such as at&t could put out a product this bad. Hire better engineers.

The app freezes all the time! Sometimes it will work again but it often says it failed to retrieve the streaming rights. When it decides to actually work I can’t watch recorded shows or local channels! Why pay this much for cable when it isn’t worth it?!

This AT&T U-verse mobile app is completely worthless. The only thing that kinda works is the guide but even that is wrong half the time. The search function doesn’t function at all. You type in a program (like Olympics which started yesterday)search and titles comes up as if it knows exactly what you want. You click on it and it says, “No shows, programs or casts were found”. Ridiculous, frustrating and...wrong.
Then you get a pop-up survey asking “What do you LOVE about this app!?” with no place to put anything negative. What’s the point?

The user documentation is the worst imaginable. And when you give up and call customer service you get a call center in the Philippines or India who read from a script and can’t think out of the box. My advise is insist on talking to customer retention at least then you get an American talking head who tries to help. Good luck - I deleted it!
