WU is a complete hot mess and their customer service Is a joke. It took the lady 10 minutes to explain why my money wasn’t sent to my recipient after two weeks, because she couldn’t speak proper English. I used Xoom instead and it took less than 1 minute for the recipient to get the money. O stars if possible

Too expensive to send small $100 or $200. And more expensive to use the app than walking into a western union location? Are you not cutting overhead down when using the app? Doesn’t make sense. $12 to send $100 to Central America, $5 if you go to the location. Doesn’t make sense.

Overall, the app is working fine. However, I would like to do one thing within the app that redeem my wu point. For me is like take an extra step to redeem point outside the app. So it would be great if I have ability to redeem point inside the app. Thank you.

App doesn’t work for me since last update. No option to resend or make new transaction. I was trying to send some screenshots hoping for quick fix, Support button doesn’t work as well. UI was made in 80’s.

i thought there was a bug fix as of the latest update on the App, but apparently there needs to be a bug fix on the entire website. I can’t even log in and i need to send money ASAP. Can’t get transportation to go to a place with western union facilities either. PLEASE FIX THE PROBLEM ASAP!!!!!

It says update to ‘latest version’ when it is the latest version.
Actually pretty good; once I was registered and in the system, so easy to send someone needed $. Service rates are high, but in a pinch WU comes through. Can even send from my cell phone. Very convenient!

I was really scared when reading all the negative comments... Those who are also nervous or skeptical by all the mixed reviews, just enter the I formation CORRECTLY, the receivers correct name on file.

Okay, you've sent money using app! You expect the receiver will take they next day, okay one day later! No it's 5 business day even if you've paid already and money's gone from your bank account! Okay never mind! Do you want to track your number? you need pen and paper ready to write it down because it's an impossible to copy/ paste or even just click on the link to get this information! No it should not be so easy for WU clients! Even if you've logged in and seems you can secure copy/paste or track!

Run into problems with WU all the time... the most recent one was my wife went to go pick up her money where she has gone dozens of times and they don't use WU anymore... The websites and apps always have problems.

This app is garbage. Tried sending my friend some money so he can make it to his new job and verified all of my info is correct and every time I try to send money the app just says it can’t complete the transaction. Save yourself the frustration and skip downloading this terrible app.

When you make a transfer via the WesternUnion App, and you go to the cashier. He doesn't have the idea what I'm talking about.
Mostly of the stores like RiteAid and big markets have WesternUnion Phones. I called them and asked that I started the transfer via the app. She doesn't know what I'm talking about either. Call another one, finally she knows what I'm talking about BUT she said I cant give the transaction PIN number. I'm done MoneyGram now and till I'll see some ads that you guys did some changes.

Poor services, big time frauds. They never deliver your money to your recipient and won't refund you either. They keep the money and when you call they speak a lot of gibberish getting you frustrated to point you start thinking "i wanna sue these people" stay away from them or get ready to be frustrated on every transaction you make with them. (Who ever from western union reading this tell your boss or you boss I'm done doing business with you guys and I will make sure I get all my money back from you.
Didn’t know about the app until I was in a rush no needs to wait at the line to send a transfer fast and easy... and if you re complaining about 15 dollars transaction fee that they charged I recommend you go back to western union line. And if you have Apple Pay set up in your phone wayyyyy more faster.
I was a bit worried about all of the negative feedback before using the app but it all worked.
I just made a profile through their website first then sent money through the app.

I used this app to send money but they keep telling me to go to a WU location.
Why even make this app when you can’t use it to send money?
I understand there are security issues but if there should be ways to verify identity instead of making your customers physically go to a WU location to send money.

The app is useless for sending money if your card has a PO Box for the billing address. May as well skip the app and just call in or go to a location.

The app was giving an error of a technical problem, an error code, constantly. Never giving a chance to log in or do anything except close it. Then newest update was released with notes of "bug fixes" yet it still happens. What bugs were fixed?

I have a contact for the person who I usually send money to in my online account. When I sent him money lastly, I put his middle name too, so a new contact was created. The problem is an email from nowhere was associated with the new contact, so I deleted that contact and cancelled the transfer. Also, I put into the old contact email and mobile number. Guess what happened? When I logged in again, I saw a totally different email in the old contact too. I called to report the problem and the customer representative said as long as I don't link my account with a credit card I will be fine.
I believe the security of online accounts is weak. It must be increased.

Western Union. When you hand them your money to send, better filled out the information correctly. Otherwise, you will get the runaround. One time I filled out the form to send the money, I have asked the clerk if I needed to include the middle initial of the recipient and she said no. No need to guess. I went back to that branch and they can not do anything about it. Call head quarter in the state of Colorado. Today I went to receive the money and one of the branch didn't have $830. So I go to a different branch. They asked me where I was born on all different branch. But when you filled out the form to send money, not all branch would check your information carefully when they input your information. Different branch different authorized owners. Today, one lady cancelled the money transfer and tried to get the refund. Guess what, one of the branch didn't input the middle initial. This should be their job. They do this every day. They should help the consumers, not screw them around.
Or they don't give a sh----t. Within one mile on the same street, it had three branches. All different authorized branch owners that would tell you something. Good luck.

WesternUnion's app works just fine, let's make that clear, now, the service... that's the worst service I have ever been exposed to!! Really bad, the guys at the call center have absolutely no idea of what are they doing. I had an issue sending money through the app and didn't got processed, I called the customer service and after like 40 minutes being on hold I got to talk to somebody and she was totally lost. They took the money and didn't process the transaction, they hung up on me, therefore, had to call again and explain everything AGAIN!! And after around 10 business days I had to dispute the transaction with my bank. Bottom line, please, if you have any other way of sending money (like ANY!!) use it and don't get engaged with western union!

Please fix these bugs when entering recipient's address!!! App now requires recipient's address if I'm paying fee thru my bank. I don't understand what my recipient's address has to do with my form of payment though. In any case, I can't use this app unless they're fixed:
1. My recipient's address does not have a house number, just street name. App tags street name as invalid if it does not start with house number. Some addresses in other countries do not necessarily have a house number. And that's just how it is.
2. The province portion of the address has a pulldown menu with nothing in it. App will not allow typing anything in the province portion. You have to make a selection from the pulldown menu, which is blank.
I've been a long-time WU customer and these bugs are preventing me from using this app. Btw, I tried using the website and it's the same problem. Pls fix asap!! Thank you.

After I add my ID information it just doesn't let me do anything, I called and they couldn't help me, when I'm lucky and I make the transaction the system switches the last names and the receiver can't receive the money. Better look another way to send money.

I get the "your transaction could not be completed" error message no matter who I am sending money to, or whatever payment method I select. This app worked fine up until a month ago. Now it just wastes my time. Customer service is nonexistent. Back to Western Union branch store until they fix this app.

I transferred money to a friend in July. The money was withdrawn from my account. My friend has never received the money. It is now September.
The conclusion of the matter is that the money has been withdrawn from my account, and has been deposited somewhere else, not to my recipient's account, and not to her bank. I have double checked that the recipients account and bank information was correct. It is therefore safe to assume that this faulty transfer is entirely the fault of Western Union.
It is unfortunate then that I have received zero help from Western Union on locating this money.
The number to call on your APP directs me to an automated answering system, with no human intelligence if the problem is more complicated than tracking a transfer, and your email address is inadequate - I received only a lackluster response that was given to my request for help. The spelling errors and poor punctuation does not leave me confident that my money is in safe, capable hands.
I would have thought when dealing with money matters you would be much more eager to help your customers.
Extremely frustrated and will continue to tell my circle of influence as such.
