    Since the last update the only thing this app is useful for is as a guide to show what’s on TV. It no longer syncs to change channels; can’t be used to schedule recordings, etc. Just name a function and it doesn’t work. Useless, unless sole purpose is an online TV guide. This app deserves zero stars for this rating...but review won’t allow the star ratings to be empty.

    I use the remote to control the TV for my elderly parent. It is nice that I can change the channel from a different side of the house. But there is no way for me to control the volume or power to turn on or off from this remote.

    So they created this new app and took away a fully functioning remote control app that worked “exactly” like the X1 remote - So because I have parental controls on, sure I can select a channel from the guide - But because they have taken away the number pad / I have no way to enter the parental control pin to be able to watch anything. Software engineers should remember / Don’t fix it if it ain’t broke -Just give me the X1 remote app back

    Update 10/14/17: Somewhat improved, but still a usability stinker. I am experiencing many fewer crashes & that’s a plus. So here are my most annoying lack of usability issues now: 1. It needs to display the selected DVR on every screen with option to change it. 2. Add quick link to Upcoming Shows would help usability. Now a separate search is required, even when the show has been selected in the TV Listings. 3. Quick link to IMBD or Rotten Tomatoes with back button would greatly improve usability. Update Summary: Come on Comcast. You should really demand that the people who write the requirements at least try to use this app first. There would be amazing improvements in usability/feature/function. Update 7/15/17: Why can't I rate this app a minus 5 or at least a fat goose egg? It seems only fair. Record a show when not in front of DVR & it often records it, but not always. And you never have a confirmation in this example that it is set to record. If it works, the movie title, for example, usually does not display for the recorded movie. Does anyone believe having to dig into recordings for the one you want is a good idea? If so, I have some swamp land I am holding just for you. Update 5/13/17: Now Comcast no longer displays HD channels when you search by title. Only shows non-HD & the 1000 range (no 700 or 800 range). Issue: search a show, select upcoming and HD are specifically excluded. Makes it impossible to find times for any HD show. Additionally, app includes the 1000 range channels in your favorites with no way to delete them from favorites. And, oh yea, still crashes over & over. In the bottom 2 of all time worst apps. OMG: Now an annoying Xfinity ad keeps popping up as I look at different times on tv listings. Same modal pops up over & over & over, stopping navigation until I close it. Makes listings unusable. Why can't I rate this app a minus 5? ____________________________________________ Just bad, just plain bad. This is 100% due to sorry developers. And to top it off, despite the odd new and hip icon, this Comcast app continues to be the longest running winner for most software crashes ever. Special award for most crashes of "TV Listings" section in history. Well deserved Comcast.

    Since the last update I am unable to schedule recordings in my app. Please fix this. I like to use the app more than my actual remote because my remote can be a bit laggy. I would also like to see better search functions, for example on the on demand screen on my tv there is an option for “free to me” and there is not that option with the app. Another thing I’d like it to incorporate is in the “ways to watch” under a title it does not show Netflix as an option like on my tv. Also, bundles are unable to view or purchase from the app.

    I would like to see a new feature added, when possible. Setting REMINDERS in addition to recordings. Sometimes I am out, and would like to set a reminder on my app to watch a program in the bedroom to watch in the evening. With the latest update there is a find button in the upper right hand corner where you can enter the channel number or channel name. I don't think this app is fully functional UNLESS you have the X1 upgrade. If you have upgraded the app is great. Am so happy to have both upgraded, and now have fully functioning app.

    I love this app to watch on the go BUT ever since I updated to the most recent version my shows FREEZE all of the time. I pay for faster internet from xfinity and i have never had an issue with loading or freezing in my small apartment until this update. VERY FRUSTRATING! Please fix it!

    This ap has removed all filters on anything useful like type of movie. No way to sort through 3000 movies and find anything. Maybe the sorts were not all that accurate, but now unless you know the name of the movie you are looking for it is pure luck to find something interesting

    You can't do anything on those except change the channel. You can't fast-forward rewind and pause delete nothing. If I wanted a channel changer I didn't have to download it onto an electronic device

    This app has the potential for being a real value added perk for Xfinity and my main wish is that Comcast invest the money in this app to bring it to full functionality. It needs to have all the functionality of the X1 Remote with a full set of tools to manage program guides and schedules. The app is about half way there and is screaming for greater investment. I would rather use something like this than any of the on-screen guides. One feature I would really like to have is the ability to construct my own channel lineup. Right now I have more than 300 channels but my actual viewing is typically a list of about 50 channels. I would like to have the ability to put together my own list of channels that displays only the channels I typically watch and be able to group and order the channels the way I want them displayed in a guide. This feature would be more important to me than the ability to "jump" in the channel listings. Jump is important now because there are so many channels I don't watch cluttering up my display. Update v3.7 — I hate the new way you mark Favorite channels. The old pull out tab was great. Now, with the star always showing, as I move through the listings I frequently end up unmarking the station as a favorite.

    I had the app. It wouldn't add devices. Just indicated there were no devices. The add function doesn't work. So, I tried the old favorite way to fix things, uninstall and reinstall. The download doesn't work. Un the bright side, if you do manage to download it; it makes a good TV guide 😕

    Just like Comcast Xfinity service this app is worthless. If you like watching a wheel spin just to get the channel guide then this app is for you. If you like having to restart the app every time just to get it to connect then you'll love this app. I have another 1.5 years of this and will never consider Comcast again. Totally inexcusable to not have competent developers in this day and age. It's not like this app has a bunch of features to make it complex, it is overly simple and yet it just does not work.

    This app is a constant let down. Each update renders it more useless than the last. I used to use this everyday, but the app flat out hasn't worked at all for a while now. I'd leave zero stars if I could. *** Update*** the 10% of the time I was able to get his app to work has been completely wiped out to 0% now you can see what you want to watch, but there’s no watch button anymore, yessssss! Error error error!

    Can't filter movies on demand for the stuff included in my package. Ridiculous how I spend this much on cable and can't find the stuff I'm paying for. Also, I hate how it doesn't provide a simulated remote so I can navigate by the TV guide.

    I like this app but I wish it had a way to mark On Demand movies for future viewing, something like a thumbs up list or a playlist so I could quickly find movies that I had previewed before and wanted to remember for another time.

    Recent updates have made app less effective. The favorites star is fine for initial selection, but with channels filtered on favorites, an inadvertent touch of star when selecting channel "de-favorites" channel and instantly removed it from listings! Also, the search info is near useless, with mashup of results (some bogus) based on search term. And who cares about a search result with no upcoming shows on schedule?! Having to select additional Upcoming tab is pointless extra step. How about reverting back to older type search results, or only show results in specified upcoming time period?

    This app is so frustrating. Trying to do anything on it takes forever (like deleting shows from the DVR). The search functions are terrible, buttons are super sensitive and will end up turning shows on on the tv when not intended. Sorting channels is slow and doesn't work well. It's a disappointment in all ways. This definitely needs an upgrade.

    This goes out to both Xfinity "and" the ITunes Store. Before I usually install any updates, I typically like to see the reviews of the updates after a few days, so I don't do an update of a "bomb" or a problematic update. Now, it appears with all the apps in the ITunes Store, the reviews are literally all not in chronological order by date, but from dates all over the place. It's making me hesitant to install any updates ever since I noticed the change. Remote app I have really isn't anything like my home remote with the menus so it's pretty difficult to give any kind of review, except for this one where I can't tell if any recent updates are even available and that the remote doesn't appear like the XR1 remote for X1 which isn't a plus.

    I loved this app. The latest version is awful though. The updated tv listings only let you see 30 minutes at a time instead of being able to see at least an hour. And the remote used to have full functionality of the x1 remote but now it has been removed.

    I thought maybe I had downloaded the wrong app when I switched phones. Now I finally realized THIS IS NO LONGER A REMOTE. This app is useless. It does NOT hold up to xfinity standards.

    It works mostly well, but don't move too far from the other remote, because you might need it when: A program finishes from on demand, but will not exit the menu. A program fails to start from On demand, but you can not play another program. A recording finishes and you need to select delete now or do not delete. If possible, I think an on screen or touch screen volume control should be added to all of the Xfiniti apps. It's highly annoying when programs on tv raise the volume and you have no way of turning it down, because the tv is out of reach or those little buttons on the side are too hard to get to on tablets. My second request and recommendation is that you add a sleep timer. Older, disabled or lazy clients, like me, would love to be able to set the sleep timer, through the app, on the tv/tablet and just doze off at will.

    The static star on the left is too easy to hit by mistake while changing channels. Doing this takes the channel off the favorites list. You need to set a lock on favorites to prevent accidentally eliminating favorites. Your android version has the same flaw.

    Can’t view all programming, especially local sports. I pay a lot monthly for programs that I can’t access when out of town traveling. I will cancel TV service and watch Netflix like many of my friends.
