    After getting the new gateway they insisted on still can not get by the activation screen even though my gateway is activated. I have a open ticket with. Comcast (Xfinity) but a few weeks later and zip, nothing, not a word or development from them, its as if they could care less!

    It started out ok then I paused my sons device from when he gets home from school till after dinner then when I UNPAUSE it it still says paused we have Restarted gateway Turned off device to reboot Forgot device in app Unpaused, paused, unpaused in app for that device Checked other devices they are fine Checked for updates on device and on XFi app on parents MAIN device Signed out of app Deleted app Reinstalled app Rebooted gateway Waited 24 hrs Called support ( they generated ticket) NO RESPONSE It's out of my hands Done all I can do Absolutely frustrating And IF they call I might not be at home, might not have device, might not have time to mess with it.

    Wow – what a waste of time. The app doesn't work and customer support isn't able to help. I've never seen such incompetence and failure in functionality as with this app.

    I like that I can track the data usage and I've set the bedtime mode on all my kids devices but they are still able to access the Internet through the router. Same thing happens when I pause devices, they are still able to access the Internet through my router. This needs to be fixed or there is no other point of the app.

    I upgraded my equipment and can connect to the 2.4 wifi but I no longer see the 5.0 wifi and the app says I need to upgrade the equipment but I already did that. Very disappointed!

    Loved the app at first until I started having trouble removing my devices from being paused. I called support and they told me o would receive a callback within 24-48hrs!!!

    This app is a pretty good app to control your home Wi-Fi, would really like to see it in the iPad format. To be able to control my Home on my tablet size as opposed to a iPhone size would be more helpful.

    Doesn't work very well -- have to keep trying to sign in and receiving a let's try again message - liked that I can schedule my kids time on their iPads but don't like that if I block them I can't get back into the app to unblock without it taking hours to log in

    Comcast is out in my neighborhood, I called the 800-number and the automated voice tells me to download this app. I do all that and all the app wants me to do is upgrade service. Just one more example of Comcast only interested in their bottom line and don't give a sh#% about their customers. Typical

    Update: The team was quick to get in contact with me and after providing a little info my problem has been resolved within a few days of my initial review. The app has been smooth thus far and setting up the profiles very straightforward. Overall a professional and positive experience over two emails and a follow up phone call. Old Review: After the recent update activation finally worked. I had set up through the router before but reactivated hoping for a few nice features like renaming, grouping, and tracking. Turns out I need to upgrade (my brand new) equipment to use the app although the site says I'm using the most up-to-date gear. My question is why is the Arris TG1682G not supported?

    I loved this app when it worked but then it suddenly stopped working. I used it to control the amount of internet usage my family used. I would give them incentives and take it away when they needed disciplined. And now it doesn't work and I haven't been able to use it for over a month. My daughters kindle is still paused and I can't get the wifi back on it. Please fix the bugs!! ASAP!!!

    I came across this app by mistake, started using it and I'm hooked on it in my household. It helps me to manage my network usage, control my kids sneaky school night time browsing, and make it easy for guest to be on and off the network. I app is a very useful tool. No complaints about it.

    Everything this app does can also be done by logging into the gateway directly, but a lot of nontechnical users are intimidated by that. This is a friendlier interface to enable all the changes most users will ever need to make to their Wi-Fi.

    What happened to all the parental control features where you can set which websites to view, word blocks...etc.? They have all disappeared with this new app. Please bring all the parental control features back. The current version has limited features.

    Installed and upgraded the new xfinity modem/router. Downloaded the app and followed the instructions. Ran into a bump because I had forgotten my password. So I had to contact Comcast (1 (800) 934-6489) and spoke with an agent to reset it. After the reset continued with the installation process on my phone and was up and running again. Just a little heads up. Be sure to have your user name and password ready before signing in to this app.

    Honestly this app is a waste of time. I can't believe developers thought this hot mess was an actually good "parental control app" honestly 10.0.0.1 was much simpler and easier to use can't even login half the time. You guys are so lucky your the only people who provide Cable and internet where I live. Oh and also please don't say on you can contact us here IT DOESN'T WORK EVERYONE AT XFINITY IS STUPID GET RID OF THIS GARBAGE!!!

    I love xfinitys fast speed. And i switch to xfinity paying big money. Which is worth it. One huge problem, i assign my PC and I forgot what i did actually... but now i cant use internet with my PC anymore. I use ethernet for my PC which i use to play computer games through Stream. Its really frustrating it all began after i assigned. Someone please help

    I cannot write an accurate review because the app will not accept my Xfinity password. I double checked it with Xfinity changed it etc. still will not accept my password so I have no idea if the app works or not. Anyone else have this issue?

    Got a new modem from Xfinity because our internet keep dropping. Now unable to log into anything to see who what used my wifi. Called Comcast 5x each time it's the same BS. My case needs to go to a higher agent they will call you back right away. Of course they will, maybe after I drop them. Never had issues this bad. For all the money we spend this should not happen.

    This app is ok for pausing devices and checking my monthly usage. One major improvement would make this app 5stars... I'd love to see how much data (actual MBs) each person or device is using instead of an almost totally useless bar graph that only shows low/high usage. That graph is is very deceiving. I can watch 1-30 min episode and it will show my usage as very high.

    **** updated Had to swap out my modem. Lost all control on the xfi. Have spoken to support but because they continue to fail to make notes we are always just resetting the box. No matter how many times I tell the this has already been done. Due to the total failure of Comcast I can only recommend going with a different company. Will be looking into Disney's control next. ****** Yes for people that have a good knowledge you can do all of this in a router, but for the people that do not this is a great tool. Only have a couple of things I would like to see added; One - fingerprint or simple password protection. This will prevent kids from using parents devices to unlock their own. Two - default all new items to guest and place high restrictions on it. Otherwise this is a great app and easy for everyone to use.

    Upgrade to new equipment to use this app. After fully installing. Ew modem and fully finishing installation the app still tells me that indeed to upgrade my modem. Spoke with Comcast and it is a known bug but they don't know when it will be fixed.

    Nothing about this app works on any device it took me three hours just to get it to stop freezing long enough to name five devices. This is the most ridiculous useless app I have ever used I only gave it one star because it forces me to give it a star at all how can a company that is so prominent literally be the worst app I have ever used. I highly recommend you avoid this app at all costs. Also trying to retrieve this information online is just as bad.

    I have been using for a couple of months worked great! Not sure of it updated, but all of a sudden on my sons nighttime or pause it does not work. Whole purpose of this app! So know I keep catching him up late when it should have been off. Bummed out!

    I installed a new xfinity xFi router today. I set up the new router with the xFi app and it worked okay (had to tell it a couple of times to "try again"), but at the end of the process I was up and running. So now when I try to manage my network with the app, it tells me I need to upgrade to a new router (my 1 day old router??). I deleted the app and downloaded it again - same message. For kicks I tried to click the "upgrade equipment" button - nothing, it wouldn't respond at all. I've since deleted the app and will try again in a few months to see if Comcast has improved this buggy app. Too bad, I really wanted to use this network management tool.

    As a mom I wanted to lock out my kids devices so that they don't sneak on when everyone's asleep. The process to assign devices was tedious and I ended up having to just use the desktop site. Now the app is unresponsive/super slow when I try to remove the bedtime. I literally don't use it anymore because I have to force close it so many times to get it to work.

    Using this app caused such severe issues that a technician had to visit my place and replace the gateway. I paused an iPad and Mac using this app but even after unpausing the devices won't connect to the internet though they connect to the home wifi. Totally frustrated with so much trouble and waste of time. I would caution anyone using this app.

    The first day my services were installed, I added a bedtime restriction to my phone to test it out. Long story short, my device is still restricted although the app says that it isn't. I've completed every troubleshooting step know to man and the issue is still there. I'm unable to access the internet after 8pm. It says that my device is paused, although the app doesn't reflect that. Technical Support is unable to assist because they say it's an app issue and not the modem and not the phone. All I know is, I was better off without this app. It has caused a terrible situation. I'm almost ready to cancel the whole account.

    Started out great when I upgraded. One day later I touch the app and it opens up to a message telling me I need to upgrade. I touch that and it brings me to my account and says I have already upgraded. I'm in a loop I can't get out of. App is updated and it is NOT WORKING!!!

    9 times out of 10...when I go to pause all the devices in a certain profile-it just keep saying "please give us a moment while we are UNPAUSING all devices". In other words, the app fails out when trying to pause devices with that stupid loading bar. Sometimes it does the opposite of what you want. Bottom line is: IT DOESNT WORK. This app would be great if it actually worked properly. I personally, work for Apple as a tech. So...fix the app or get it off of our App Store. Thanks.

    Wow, this is one of the worst apps I have ever used. The performance is awful. Scrolling is awful and the 'Assign' button are always down at the very bottom of a long list, and the names of the devices get cut off. Lots more feedback, but I hope these things are obvious for anyone that uses it and is trying to make this better. I love the concept, but I can't use it until it gets better. This reflects poorly on Xfinity's brand!

    Bedtime Mode should use the usual iOS method of selecting time (using the scroll wheel). Don't use a slider, let me pick the bedtime and awake time to any times I choose. Add the ability to add/remove restricted websites in parental controls. Add the ability to set multiple times of day to have access. i.e. 8am-10am, 4pm-7pm, etc.
