This app is useless, because it’s difficult to see in portrait. Older people, who you represent can see better if the screen can rotate. (Or perhaps it’s the advertisers) Please do not respond with your usual “landscape is not available at this time.” JUST FIX IT. If you can’t then get a more qualified IT team.
Bad maps for events 2/5
The new app looks great but the maps for our events is the same map for each event. Please fix this. It would be nice to have the correct map for each event. Thank you.
Seriously, landscape mode not available?????
I’m Really Tired of Tilting My Head! 1/5
By ND Fan4Life
When I searched for the App and saw one for an iPad, I happily downloaded it. I figured, like many of the Apps, it would just ‘accommodate’ to whichever position in which the iPad was being used. I, like many, have a keyboard attached to my iPad. It’s very inconvenient, as well as uncomfortable to attempt to position my iPad for viewing in the portrait position while everything is in the landscape position! Please! These reviews read as if many others have the same issue that I do! Please upgrade your App to be able to be used either in portrait OR landscape modes! If you do, I’d give you a 5.0, just for the relief of my neck and shoulder pain from trying to work with this App in portrait mode!
It’s time!! 3/5
Landscape mode PLEASE!!!!!!!1
Viewing format 1/5
By Barely tolerable!
I've just downloaded the new app & it seems to only open on Portrait format. I use Landscape so find this very bothersome...a royal pain. Soooooo...unless that changes I’ll use the internet. Why in blazes do you & others assume everyone uses the same tilt? Grrrrrr!
Easy access to my AARP card and discounts! 5/5
Great app providing easy access to my AARP membership card, plus news relevant to me and useful info events and discounts.
Don’t install 1/5
There appears to be a bug in this app where it used 2.1GB of my cellular data last month. I may have opened it only once. If you’re running out of cellular data, this is the culprit.

Tried the app then went to update my email address. Did as told, looked good. Next login said it was no good. Enough, app deleted.
To sign up or gain access is an ongoing Nightmare.....AWFUL
Super helpful 5/5
I downloaded the AARP app shortly after I joined and was skeptical at first. Turns out there’s a bunch of deals in my area and the app sends alerts when I’m close to one. Definitely worth checking out if you like AARP!
App doesn’t work 1/5
App doesn’t work. Can’t login because “sorry, something went wrong on our end, please try again later”.

AARP App not working 1/5
Just signed up for AARP. Downloaded app and it keeps saying there is a problem. Does not recognize my email and when I put in my membership number and hit done it says there is a problem. Horrible app that you can’t even sign in!
Login failure 1/5
I just had ANOTHER login failure with the AARP app. Even when I entered my email, the app tells me I have not entered it. And when I tried to get a new password,I couldn’t do it. Therefore I’m deleting this app!!!
Application Not Opening UP 1/5
Hello. I Just downloaded Your App. It doesn’t want to Open. I Have put in everything Correctly. 🤷🏻♀️. It stated it’s not a problem on my End. Okay. What Gives ? Thought you’ve Corrected this Problem. Thank You...
I’m sorry that I’m a member!
App doesn’t work.... 1/5
Can’t login... doesn’t send forgot password email.. terrible!!!!
AARP apps *NEED* to work in landscape mode on my iPad! 3/5
(1) Doesn’t work in landscape mode on my iPad, which is the main place where I’d use it.
(2) When all is said and done, I found no use for the app. The news? I’ll see most of it in the AARP magazine or newsletter, or in Apple News. Coupons? Too tedious to scan, and I have more interesting uses for my time than to peruse lists of coupons and great deals.
Have been trying for 2 days to get access to aarp now, since old aarp app quit working. Keep on getting “Sorry.......” message. Trying to renew my membership. Maybe I will look for alternative, if aarp can’t get a simple app to work. They probably aren’t getting much else to work.
Unable to register 1/5
When I tap the “forgot password“ link it won’t accept my valid email address!
Login Failure 4/5
By J A V
Cannot login with iOS 10.3.3. Keep getting "Sorry, something went wrong at our end. Please try again later message". Tried uninstall, reinstall, etc. to no avail. It also seemed to disable my account access to Brain Games somehow (on both iPhone & Windows laptop - all I get now are grey boxes).
Well, something changed in the last day. Now the app simply closes after entering my password.
Version 3.16.1 released on March 12 now works for me. Thanks for fixing. So l'll up my review to 4 stars.
Can’t log in with number 1/5
By Scarecrow 53 UPS
Just downloaded the app. Have tried 3 times to activate with my aarp #, but with no success..
Can’t login! 1/5
Tried to login and nothing shows up to login! WTH! How am I supposed to use this app if you can’t login?
Can't get logged in after downloading. Key in password. I get the spinning clock then it just closes out of the app.
This app is worthless 1/5
Tried setting up with my membership number, entered email address, birth date, etc. and set password. App will not let me login now after I provided my personal info. Guess thats all they really want anyway! I keep getting a message “Sorry, there must be something wrong on our end, please try again in a few moments”. Never successfully logged in after several attempts. After 45 minutes trying and about 20% of my phone’s battery life used, this app is useless to me. DELETE.
Not Happy With New AARP app 1/5
Continuously crashes as soon as I log in to it. Says my session has expired every time I try to log in. So far this is not s good app! Very disappointed!!
How can I review what I can't open? 1/5
As soon as I enter my password, it crashes. I've never been able to use this app. After multiple restarts of my iPhone, I give up. May I live to see the day when I can open this app. Boo!
By Love KUHF
Useless app. Should be able to get to articles on the website. Instead AARP sends you email and then opens browser on phone NOT in the app. Get rid of this app or make it more robust.
Has my old email on my iPhone won’t let me change. The iPad is fine. My phone is a 10XR with 512 memory What is wrong with this app. I am renewed and paid to 2024 but can’t get in. Help. But I have NEVER received card.
App keeps crashing. AARP is a scam anyway
Needs work 1/5
App crashes on download. Cannot use
Badly designed 1/5
No way to sign on with a existing user name and password?
Waste of my time.
AARP Digital Ease 5/5
By Mz Beaded Treasures
Signing up with this app was quick and easy! The app actually did all of the work.
I’m a little confused about the difference between AARP Now and the traditional AARP app but the first app seemed a little older and I chose the easier one which was the Now.
Enjoying the experience!!!
Can’t log on 1/5
I just received my card, entered my email address and password. It doesn’t recognize it. It recognized my member # and showed my and my husbands name. Help
No fingerprint login 3/5
By Signer 66
Why don't you have fingerprint login instead of having to get the card out of the wallet to find the member number so the app can be used?
Useless on an iPad 2/5
Might be ok on the iPhone but kind of useless on my new iPad. Does not do LANDSCAPE. For crying out loud, I have apps from 4 years ago in iOS 9 on the old iPad that work on both the iPhone and iPad. That is just lazy programming. Am deleting it from iPad and might dump it from phone also. Will have to see if it really is of any use out in the wild.
Password Nightmare 1/5
By Crash Prone
Does not recognize password despite multiple attempts to change and implement
Intended for Phone 3/5
While understanding that Your Intent was Phone carry with use... You need to understand that MANY senior humans use a tablet to preplan where they are going and do not do everything while mobile... So LANDSCAPE IS VERY IMPORTANT for an app intended for AARP users. Otherwise nice app.
Strike One... 2/5
I use a keyboard with my 9.7 iPad Pro. This app does NOT rotate to landscape mode!!! Why do developers continue to not build this feature in??? It’s not like keyboards are a new thing for iPads. I probably won’t use this app much at all. AARP: GET WITH IT!!!
Not impressed 1/5
This App can offer much better customer service, customer friendliness, and user friendly.
I like it
Useless App 1/5
I just joined AARP and wanted the app on my iPhone. I installed it, it recognized my name, email address and member number but when I put the CORRECT password in it tells me there is an error. I tried countless times with the same results. I called tech support and all he could say was he was sorry I was having problems. Useless!!! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app with the same results. USELESS don’t bother with this app!
Loading AARP app 1/5
Tried to load AARP app, when I incorrectly entered my PW I was unable to page back on my iPhone. The Incorrect app notification banner at the top covers the return arrow. After 15 mins. I deleted the app. If I was able I would have given a zero star rating. I am in a senior leadership role in healthcare and, what I would consider myself, “computer capable.” 👎
Needs landscape for iPad. 1/5
The app is useless on an iPad without landscape mode.
So far, so good 4/5
By PDG Retired
My experience was a seamless download and upload of my card to Apple Wallet. The main page has large icons with obvious names for links. If you love the benefits of AARP like we do, give this app a try. I Especially like having all the available discounts on my phone when making choices to eat out or shop. I gave it a 4 star rating because it uploads easy and was easy to understand and will update after I’ve used it for awhile. I’m an experienced tech user, also teach tech to elderly, getting started with this app was a breeze compared to many others as long as you’ve already opened an account online and know your password.

Sell Sell and more Sell
I deleted the app as soon as I saw my profile - it included my name, address and date of birth!
What were you thinking?!
