No fingerprint login 3/5
By Signer 66
Why don't you have fingerprint login instead of having to get the card out of the wallet to find the member number so the app can be used?
Useless on an iPad 2/5
Might be ok on the iPhone but kind of useless on my new iPad. Does not do LANDSCAPE. For crying out loud, I have apps from 4 years ago in iOS 9 on the old iPad that work on both the iPhone and iPad. That is just lazy programming. Am deleting it from iPad and might dump it from phone also. Will have to see if it really is of any use out in the wild.
Password Nightmare 1/5
By Crash Prone
Does not recognize password despite multiple attempts to change and implement
Intended for Phone 3/5
While understanding that Your Intent was Phone carry with use... You need to understand that MANY senior humans use a tablet to preplan where they are going and do not do everything while mobile... So LANDSCAPE IS VERY IMPORTANT for an app intended for AARP users. Otherwise nice app.
Strike One... 2/5
I use a keyboard with my 9.7 iPad Pro. This app does NOT rotate to landscape mode!!! Why do developers continue to not build this feature in??? It’s not like keyboards are a new thing for iPads. I probably won’t use this app much at all. AARP: GET WITH IT!!!
Finally I can get my discounts! Thanks aaarp
Not impressed 1/5
This App can offer much better customer service, customer friendliness, and user friendly.
Great App 5/5
I like it
Useless App 1/5
I just joined AARP and wanted the app on my iPhone. I installed it, it recognized my name, email address and member number but when I put the CORRECT password in it tells me there is an error. I tried countless times with the same results. I called tech support and all he could say was he was sorry I was having problems. Useless!!! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app with the same results. USELESS don’t bother with this app!
Loading AARP app 1/5
Tried to load AARP app, when I incorrectly entered my PW I was unable to page back on my iPhone. The Incorrect app notification banner at the top covers the return arrow. After 15 mins. I deleted the app. If I was able I would have given a zero star rating. I am in a senior leadership role in healthcare and, what I would consider myself, “computer capable.” 👎
Needs landscape for iPad. 1/5
The app is useless on an iPad without landscape mode.
So far, so good 4/5
By PDG Retired
My experience was a seamless download and upload of my card to Apple Wallet. The main page has large icons with obvious names for links. If you love the benefits of AARP like we do, give this app a try. I Especially like having all the available discounts on my phone when making choices to eat out or shop. I gave it a 4 star rating because it uploads easy and was easy to understand and will update after I’ve used it for awhile. I’m an experienced tech user, also teach tech to elderly, getting started with this app was a breeze compared to many others as long as you’ve already opened an account online and know your password.

Sell Sell and more Sell
I deleted the app as soon as I saw my profile - it included my name, address and date of birth!
What were you thinking?!
Just plain junk! 1/5
By dump this app!
I have entered member number, passwords multiple times- with no success. For such a prominent organization to put this out as an app is shameful. Stop emailing me with your invites and get a competent developer to rework your website and properly test it Remember: this is your “face” to clients. I’m not impressed!
Above Review 4/5
Makes little sense if any. That person needs to learn serious grammar.
Won’t let you log in 1/5
Won’t let you log in, keeps telling me to check my password, changed it 3x!!!! Have no problem signing in online only app

Fix needed 2/5
Need a fix for this app for iPad viewing.
Not helpful for me 2/5
By Windos 65
I check discounts in my area restaurants. All I see are corporate establishments. All the other categories I don’t see anything that appeals to me. So I’m deleting app.
Worst App Ever 1/5
So I tried to find a deal for a restaurant in Bellport, NY for dinner because I am going there for a play soon. I figure maybe someone has a 10% off for seniors or something and I’ll just check. Nothing to lose, right?
After I download the app and do a search in the area, the app returns restaurants in California and Illinois. Seriously? Nothing in New York, much less Bellport? If the search isn’t going to work, just don’t give that option.
I thought about heading over to Illinois for my 10% off dinner but that might make me a little late for my play in Bellport ... like about 3 days late!
Useless app. Deleted.
Awful waste of time. 1/5
Worst app ever.Don’t waste your time. Horrible app that questioned whether my gmail address was a real email address. I agree with all the negative comments.
Deals don’t work 1/5
Every deal I click on opens Econo Lodge. Are they trying to tell me something? (Didn’t try other “features” yet.)
What a piece of crap 1/5
I downloaded to get the card in my wallet. I will uninstall immediately now. I do not care, nor agree with the far left AARP viewpoints on the news.
Trouble with password 2/5
Contrary to the developer saying you log in with your AARP password, you need to log in with your Apple ID password
Membership Card in Apple Wallet 2/5
This app’s description shows that it is compatible with Apple Wallet. Sure, you can view your membership card within the app itself, but was the Apple Wallet functionality forgotten on the app’s release or removed during previous updates? It would be nice to access the membership card faster within Apple Wallet instead.
Words With Friends 5/5
I love all of the “WORDS” games. Have learned some very unusual words!
Signing in 2/5
I had the same problem... didn’t recognize my password... had to reset all information, even though nothing had changed. Not sure what is happening with the bug fixes that have been installed.
Cellular data control not missing 3/5
This app does not show up under Cellular Data... where is the control for this?
Update- the control appears after cell data is actually used. If WiFi is on and available it will no show up immediately.
All is good
No can use 1/5
Can’t use this ap. To register you have to enter your zip code. I do this and it keeps coming up that I can only enter a 5 digit zip which is what I am doing. Tried about 15 times and it keeps coming up the same. I know I am a dummy, but I can count and I do know my zip code. Therefore, because I can’t use this ap,I can’t give it anymore than one star. Good luck. I hope you have better luck than I am.
Need a new phone for this app 1/5
I was using this phone right up until AARP 'improved' this app and locked me out. I have an older phone that is in excellent working order. However, the new, 'improved' app will not give me access any more. So, AARP has 'improved' their app so those of us on fixed incomes and can't buy a new phone, even if we wanted to, can't use their app.
A Chore!!! 1/5
By Booth T.
This app is extremely hard to use and frustrates you at every turn. It is extremely difficult to navigate inside the app and usually leads to “I’ll just try Later”. It needs some serious work!!!!!
Portrait Only? 1/5
Installed on my iPad and it comes up in portrait display only. Really don’t like this due to the cover that I use. Just inconvenient.
Holy Cow 1/5
App doesn’t work 1/5
I downloaded the app both here and on my Droid phone. It says let’s get started. I put member ID# and comes back with error messages. What’s up with that? Very disappointed already
After a week, the app finally works at least on the iPad. I haven’t tried the Droid app.
Upset Senior 3/5
Very upset with AARP. Joined last year for a trial not a yearly membership. I’m a senior collecting only Social security and AARP went into my account with no permission and took out their fee. Only have SS income and have to be very careful. Never again would I join them.
Tried to create new account (I’m not logged in to any other aarp sites) 10 times, no dice. I deleted and re-installed and tried 10 times again. Won’t go past continue when choosing a password. My arthritic thumbs and I are Done!! Dissapointed. And you actually offer classes on managing technology??? Won’t be doing that either.Update: I finally got the app downloaded the next day- really don’t know why it finally worked.
Smoke and mirrors! 1/5
Like so many others, I properly entered my email and password. The app tells me that it's incorrect. Sorry, but I've been online since the very early 1980's. I know how to enter an email address and password correctly. You claim to have fixed this problem on February 8th. It's now the 22nd and it ain't working yet. Fix it for real and issue. WORKING update.
Needs dining improvements 3/5
By Bigred 51
I first checked out the dining discounts and only one restaurant was in my town. I wish there were more precise by city.
App Initially Would Not Allow Logging In or Connection 2/5
During the first week after the latest update the app initially made it impossible to login, and afterward was not able to connect to provide information about savings or discounts. It worked mostly well in this regard until the update. Then a constant “Cannot Connect”notification emerged, which was impossible to correct. All of my other apps had no problem connecting to my WiFi and internet.
The developer suggested I delete the app and then re-open it, but that if not an option with iPhone iOS users since deleted apps are stored on the cloud, and when re-installing, it simply restores the previously deleted app.
After about a week of trying, the app finally started to work again, but I am uncertain it will continue to be fully operational. User login and connection problems after the latest update were especially pernicious. Hopefully future updates will be better executed.
App doesn’t work 4/5
Tried to sign in...SEVERAL times! Called AARP. They suggested deleting the app...which I did SEVERAL times. They suggested turning off my iPhone which I also did. (My phone is up to date with ALL iOS updates). Please fix!!
Thanks for fixing!! Much appreciate hearing from app developer.
Please design this app so I can use it on my Apple iWatch.
App sign in 1/5
By Charlie Falcone
George 6225 is correct. I can not sign in to the app but can with the exact same credentials on the website.
Stupid stupid app 1/5
By vcdbs akvdgw
Just like another reviewer, this app does not recognize the same account login as the web accounts. Even after trying password reset I still cannot access the app.
Don’t waste your time
Where’s “My Account” 2/5
I launch the app expecting to have a link to “my account”, but it’s not there and I don’t know how to get there. I got there by accident once from exploring something else, but I can’t get back there.
Works for me 4/5
By Tn Lady
I had no problem with this app. It works just fine and I had no problems. I gave it 4 stars because there’s not too many excellent discounts in my area. Would be nice if more merchants would give more discounts to the members.
Too many graphics! 2/5
I prefer the AARP Member Advantage app over this one. Just hope they keep the old one.
This one has too many graphics when I’m looking for discounts and the text gets lost on the page. Plus, it gives me discounts to places not even close to my location even though I am using the location service. I don’t need to see a pancake breakfast spread across the screen and then italic text of “Denny’s” under it. Just text is fine. When traveling, we don’t have time to scroll through all the graphics to find a place to eat.
Not a fan of this one-please keep the older app!
So far it works for me 3/5
I new to AARP but it’s working okay for me I wish they had more on the app and more information about all that AARP has to offer it seem like you have to dig and dig to find all the benefits that People have told me about still have not received my cards or magazines will get back and update my review when I have more information
