I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max, and the most current update of the app and it WILL NOT OPEN no matter how many times I close out of it. I travel more than the average person and I’d like to keep up with my shows!!!!

Limit commercials to 1 or 2 per break or offer a paid version with no commercials. Get rid of these lengthy drug commercials -let doctors prescribe what is needed. Most people mute the program during the commercials anyway.

The app is slow and clunky. Pretty abusive with the frequency and length of their commercials. One per every 7-9 minutes is pretty overkill.

And to think how much money ABC makes and yet their app and internet versions are deplorable!! I am slowly giving up on ABC completely due to their inability to support their customers. This app is and always has been a piece of JUNK! All those involved in making this app should be fired! Get some real IT people to fix this once and for all. Sheesh. It I could rate this with a minus five I WOULD!

I use many apps to watch tv and I have to say that the ABC App is very frustrating.
At least 1/2 the time or more you have to close it out and try again 4-5 times for unknown reasons…. It just works one time and not another. The app questions my right to be there and tells me there is a problem with my provider and then 3 tries later it works… there seems no logic in when and why it works…. Frustrating!!!

One thing that isn’t in the title but the games repeat for hours before changing to another game; why does abc have 6 commercials between any particular show that you are watching? Hard to fast forward without missing any of the snow. How do people close out of one and open another show and you can hear it in the background!!!

Last year I was able to watch the Oscars via my ABC app, but this year I was not able to watch them via the ABC app. I searched on Google for the reason and found ABC live streaming would be available inside the US and its territories INCLUDING Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa and the US Virgin Islands. Still, I was not able to watch them via the ABC app.

For some reason I’m not able to watch live tv from my direct tv provider, I’ve been able to watch live tv before but for some reason I cannot watch the Oscar’s on any of my devices with my tv provider, it has abc as on its cable plan but refuses to work
Poorly Designed App with Confusing Rules and Requires TV Subscription 1/5

It's just ridiculous. The app has no clear rules and requires a subscription, but registration doesn't work because you have to buy a TV provider first. Seriously, do I have to buy a TV subscription in 2023? What works without a TV subscription has tons of ads, and I don't think the subscription will make them disappear. In short, I said goodbye to the old TV format as a form of entertainment. It's stupid and inconvenient. It's better to watch Netflix.

I watch ABC every morning and at night and now with Hulu I don’t get to watch ANY of the shows I have enjoyed for years. We don’t watch just these kids shows or just the news. I don’t understand why ABC can’t be full access on Hulu like NBC and CBS are. This is bad form.

Your app does not allow video to be projected on to my screen only audio. I missed a program due to bad weather last night trying to see it using my Apple lightning HDMI adapter. I can use it with other networks. May need to update your app to make it compatible.

tvOS login issues with tv provider and account 1/5

App will not automatically login with tv provider even though it’s set up to and has worked before and all other apps work. Very frustrating when it happens (logs out) and difficult to login (can’t use iPhone to auto fill, or copy /paste password, I have to open Settings > Password to view it and use ATV remote to select each letter/number one at a time). Absolutely ridiculous. And I also can’t login to my abc account from iPhone or abc app on it. I have to go to abc account website and enter a code. 🙄 I haven’t had to do that with other apps in a long time. This is why I prefer/use Hulu. Wish I could watch live tv as well.

I am giving the ABC app two stars ONLY because I really like the selection of things to watch. However, I am deleting the app now for two main reasons: 1.) There is no way to buy an upgraded version with no ads, and the ads are absolutely incessant. 2.) If you exit out of the app for longer than like 30 minutes and then try to go back and finish watching what you were previously watching, the entire episode starts completely over and doesn’t save where you left off at. (It’s 2023 and our technology is far more advanced than this). Then you try to fast forward to where you left off and have to watch 12 ads before you can start watching again. Truly so frustrating.
