This app is horrendous 1/5
Every time I attempt to sign in I receive a message “Information not found”. I then attempted to create an account. After I complete the signup process I receive the “information not found” message. I have this account for a few years and have not been able to sign into my account for over a year I would like to do more business at ACE but this app makes it almost impossible!
Please make the app useful.
Can’t log in 1/5
I entered all the information and clicked the Create Account button but nothing happened. I deleted the app and downloaded it again but that didn’t help.
I created an account on my PC because I was not able to create one using the app. I attempted to log in to the app from my newly created account. Again when I tap the Log In button, nothing happens.
Cannot find products in the search function 2/5
To bad you cannot find products with the search function in the app. I contacted the Ace care center and they told me to use the internet to purchase the items.

I thought the Ace website search was bad but the app is worse. I found the item I was looking for on Google and searched the same exact title in the Ace app and it returned no results.
You can’t even fuzzy search in the app.
Just why. Doesn’t even work. Search functionally brings up suggested results. Not actual full list. Also buttons do not work. Cannot change store location.

Hard to find anything beyond the top 30 hits for a search term. On most screens doesn’t allow filters or even a “Next Page” button.

Try searching any term. Anything. Hammer, wrench, nail, home, hardware, tool, grill. Pick anything. Same thing comes up - "sorry, no results." It's astounding to see. Imagine you type "paint" and get "sorry, no results, check to be sure your term is spelled correctly and is not too narrowly defined." Absurd.

Saw a big banner sign at the store entrance for this app. Oh cool, they can scan my app instead of me telling them private info that others can hear. 😂 I know the stores are often independently owned, but Ace should make sure everyone is on the same page. The bar code in the app is not readable with their hand scanner. So this app is useless. It didn’t tell me where product location is either.

The sort by feature is irrelevant as it does not notate whether an item is in stock Until you click on each individual item. Also when placing an order for pick up, the communication on order status lags, and sometimes does not exist. I really want to support independent businesses but the HD app makes ordering much easier.
So I get this nice mail out telling me that my ACE rewards has been upgraded to “Premier Member” with added benefits. Great I have been a member for a long time and was glad to see I might actually get something for being a member. In the mail out it says to download the app and receive an additional $5 bonus, cool. I downloaded the app and tried to log in, said my email and password was incorrect. No problem I hit forgot password and entered my email to which it said no information found. Ok, maybe I never put my email in there. I go to create account and it says if you already have a member number not to worry just fill out the information and the app will find me. After filling out the information 3 times it still says “no information found”. I will revisit this review after someone has figured out how to find me other than the emails I get sent and mail outs I get sent EVERY MONTH.

For several weeks I’ve periodically tried to use this app. I’ve had it for a few years now and it stopped working a little over a month ago when I was trying to use it. I’ve logged out and tried logging back in and app doesn’t recognize my credentials. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app with same results. Yet I can sign into the rewards site with these credentials. It would be nice if the app worked like it used to.

For 28 years, I have spent an average of $600+|mo at my Ace store. When can I access my rewards ? Home Improvement Rep told me to use digital. I’m here. Where’s the REWARDS BUTTON? There’s a 20% off coupon. I’m at the counter. No one at Ace can figure it out either. Also, make sure customers know there $10 birthday gift coupon cannot be used with any discount. I hope you’re better at construction than building user friendly websites.

After the last update. The app will not load. Please fix ASAP. I have uninstalled and re installed the app multiple times. Ace hardware is great but your app needs work. Only get a blank white screen.
Problem whe the adding to wallet 2/5
I keep trying to add the rewards card to my apple wallet and I get a error message "pass is invalid". Please fix this.
I downloaded this app to keep track of my rewards and of course get the bonus and perhaps see the $5 card I was sent for my birthday. I tried to sign in under the information I used when I first signed in to Ace hardware’s website and the app said it couldn’t find me. Fine. I go to create a new sign in and it won’t even let me create a new account, it just keeps telling me I’m not found.

I use Ace Hardware at least once a week and our local store is great overall. This app is the worst. It will not let me merge my member ID numbers for my points. I log in, merge my accounts and it keeps looping back and asking me to log in all over again. Calling customer support and was on the phone for almost an hour unable to resolve this. Tried deleting the app and reinstalling it no luck. Was told customer support would contact me nothing yet. Shame as Ace Hardware is great but this app is not.

The Ace app works great on my iPhone but it won’t open in full screen on my iPad, just a little window in the middle of the screen.
Received an email from the developer with a phone number so they can help me with their app. I’m afraid there’s nothing a phone call can do to improve a crappy app!!!

For a few weeks now all I get is a blank white screen when opening this app. Ive deleted and reinstalled several times and in several devices. Clearly there is a major problem that Ace is not dealing with. Until it’s fixed I won’t shop there. Be notified.

I would give this app zero stars if I could. I ordered chairs and saw a free delivery if I signed up for the app. So I did ordered my items December 11th with a December 15th delivery, it’s been 10 days and I do t have my order. Customer service is not much help. I’m taking my buisness elsewhere.

The $5 bonus took multiple, frustrating conversations and took over 4 weeks to finally show up. Wasn't even a real $5 bonus but a $5 credit when buying at least $25. FALSE ADVERTISING! The app isn't very useful and more of a tool for Ace to track you and send ads. I'll be deleting it from my phone forthwith.

Went into my local Ace store and used this app. It couldn’t give me my purchase history. And according to this app I have no purchases. Must be because I didn’t do on line purchases.
So don’t see the point in using this app, so I’m deleting it.

This app said an item was in stock at a nearby store for same day pickup so I ordered it through the app only to get notified an hour later that it’s NOT in stock and won’t be for over 3 days! Junk app. Call your local store directly and arrange pickup that way if you must shop through Ace otherwise if you need convenient online shipping/curbside pickup I would suggest other businesses.

App is consistently improving. Adding rewards is great. The scanner is good except it doesn't work on all items and you have to press the button to scan which is unlike other readers that automatically scan. I like being able to my ace rewards card however it's hard to find under pressure at the register. Lastly online ordering is not good. Home depot has improved. You should. Suggestions for improvements:
- put ace card on home screen with bar code
- online orders should show up in order history immediately or there should be a way to access
- scanner should be automatic. No button press, and it should have all inventory
- online order pick up should be better. Fill orders in two hours and have pickup line in front of store. And don't scan every item again

This app is incredibly frustrating to use—I can’t seem to even complete the registration process without it sending me to a blank page, much less link it to my existing Ace rewards account. My local Ace store is usable, helpful, and the employees go out of their way to eliminate difficulty—I wish they had developed this app 😬

While I enjoy the ACE app, I wish it had the capability to scan our monthly coupons and save them in the app. This would allow us to not have to carry the paper coupons or put them somewhere and forget about them, they would always be in the app.

App opens fine, but when I try to create an account it goes to a white screen and doesn’t let me finish signing up.

The create a new account part has several buggy fields that get stuck on a blank page (state and birthdate I believe), after four tries I still couldn’t create a new account successfully.
I tried to view my local circular but al 8 pages showed up as blank.
And an item I was able to find in stock locally on the regular website isn’t showing up at any local store here on the app.
Corporate trying to sign us up 1/5
App doesn’t work well and cant tell me if something is in stock and where it’s located. App is clearly a corporate directive to sign up new Ace customers for metrics... going back to Home Depot and Lowe’s. Ace Stores can’t help with order issues and I have to call a customer support hotline that is unprofessional.
There is nothing you can do here that you can’t do on the web page, and faster and easier.
And dont even bother with the rewards card barcode: there IS NOT A SINGLE STORE ANYWHERE that can scan that barcode.
If you created an account in the store using just a phone number, good luck with that. The system assumes you also gave them an email address, and you cant reconcile them without the email. So you get stuck in a loop I just have to create a new account anyway. So really, again why bother?
