Love the app 5/5
Ajc provides all the news I need to know.
Great local news 5/5
If you care about what is going on in Atlanta, get the AJC. App works well.
Flashing ads? No thanks 1/5
It’s supposed to be an e-paper. It already has all of the ads in the paper. Having continually changing flashing ads makes it unreadable.
My News Doesn’t Work 1/5
By All these names are chosen
I don’t want to see Falcons news, it’s not selected in my settings, but it takes up most of my news feed. Also, the top 3 scrolling articles are slow to load and often don’t work.
Does Not Work 1/5
By Alpharetta Tim
AJC is asleep at the switch——does not, does not, does not work!!! Probably never will.
Doesn’t work 1/5
I haven’t been able to actually read an article on the app in months. “An error occurred...”
Glad I checked out the app before subscribing to the paper. Ugly, not optimized for the Xs series phones and obnoxiously full of advertising. No wonder newspapers are dying off.
iPhone X 1/5
11 months after the iPhone X was announced and the app is still not compatible with the iPhone X screen.
Opinion section not available 3/5
This app is pretty good, except;
The opinion section is not available and even though I chose to NOT see any sports in my news feed, on certain days half of the stories are sports.
Not worth the trouble 1/5
Constantly freezes up and doesn’t show full story
Poor UI and refuses to scroll properly.
Below Average 1/5
What's the point of having an app that sends alerts and when you tap on them it takes you to the website?? It needs a better UI and needs to load faster.
Last update causes app to crash when trying to send feedback and notifications completely stopped working.
Great update! 5/5
I love this update for my iPad!
iPhone X 1/5
Any app that isn’t updated for the IPhone X 6 months after its release deserves one star.
Who thought up this mess? 1/5
Conceptually, picking your interests and having those included in what you see is a good idea. But the execution is a MAJOR FAIL. As a subscriber, I expect far better than this. The only way to fix this is to start over with developers who have a clue what they're doing. In the meantime, bring back the old app.
Terrible, terrible, zero stars 1/5
I have read the Atlanta paper for decades both in print and on my iPad - fortunately my iPad app is different from this one. This app is designed to present ads. Period! I guess the developers/ management want you to view it in order to get advertising dollars. In no way does it even come close to news. (I can truthfully say, I have never seen a worse app! I would classify this whole operation as “fake news” app and I’ll stick with my paper and old iPad edition.
Can’t find anything! 1/5
If you like reading and using a newspaper — including comics and sales flyers — you will HATE this app. Plus, it’s virtually impossible to find specific articles that are cross promoted on their social media feeds. Assign an investigative reporter to this sad story! And have the marketing department actually follow-up on what your subscribers say online. I’m ready to cancel my subscription based on the continuing horrible electronic experience. That said, I LOVE my Washington Post app, if you want a benchmark!
Not so good 2/5
The AJC is a good news organization and I enjoy their coverage but this app is just terrible. I’m not going to go into everything but at a minimum please fix the navigation. Not only can I not swipe back on the screen but I have to scroll all the way back to the top of a story to even find the back arrow. And when you get there it is tiny and hard to hit. AND the coding behind the app is awful. You have to hit that little back arrow just perfectly. It’s so frustrating I usually just leave before I go back from a story. I just give up. The app is terrible. Hire a real developer. Please.

When I go to the App Store it says Open and when I click it brings me back to the home page that say upgrade
Poor to Much Worse Update 1/5
By Jake the Music Cruiser
This update is the most confusing piece of software I have ever seen. It is counterintuitive and confusing. All of the categories of news appear to be delivered in a patchwork of frames. Please return to a version that makes sense.
Latest update on iPhone will not load any content! Displays error statement only.
No Landscape Mode 1/5
Unlike the app where I wrote this review.
What's up with emoji notifications? 2/5
This isn't BuzzFeed, so why are you using stupid emoji in every story notification? Just makes you paper look highly uncredible.
I'm not sure it's worth it and I'm a paid subscriber 3/5
Frequently I open articles only to find out is a headline with a bunch of paid content/ads, and no article whatsoever. Just the headline and the ads. It's frustrating. I might unsubscribe and get my news elsewhere. I'm even on an iPhone 7 with the latest operating system, so there's no excuse for my app to not be working.
Very buggy 3/5
New version is very buggy. Pages often freeze. The app is free, so I gave it 3 stars, but I certainly wouldn't pay for a subscription if I was relying on the mobile version.
How Can COX MANAGEMENT Continue To Get It So Wrong??? 1/5
Displaying the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on an iPhone where it is functional certainly isn't rocket science Yes it took some talent a few years ago, but that's long over.) So how do AJC executives get it consistently soooo wrong? I recommend a new broom because a new broom sweeps clean and these bozos really need to be replaced. This newest release is far worse than all the earlier new releases, who I thought won the gold chalice each time for bottom drawer products. Please, please change the folks responsible for this continuing disaster of an epaper (& I use the word paper very loosely).
Agree does not work with iPad 1/5
Please get this fixed! Very frustrating!
Needs Landscape Mode Like Every Other News App For IPad 1/5
The iPad version needs landscape mode badly. I'm surprised that it doesn't already have this.
Cannot use with iPad anymore 1/5
Latest update isn't iPad friendly. Will not display landscape anymore. Sad. I'll look elsewhere for my news, since about every other app does display in landscape. Please fix this.
Click bait city my friends 1/5
By Tyrone for you
If it's not the blatant bias it's the never ending click bait. Poorly designed, updated slowly, just a brief glimpse of what the actual paper is like. It's a shame really because it used to be a good paper. Now I just use it to show my children and my students what bias in the media looks like.
New update crashes 1/5
Don't bother. Needs a fix. No fix available. No app support available. I'm deleting the app.
Doesn't open 1/5
Can't open since it says "must update" but when go to App Store just says "open" and no update offered. Stuck in a loop.
It doesn't work 1/5
Don't bother with the update. It will not work
Error after updating 1/5
Latest update now causes error when opening. Useless now.
Ads right in the middle of the news strou. DELETE!
Twice as good… 1/5
…but 200% of zero is still zero. App crashes constantly (iPhone 4s) and any links to other AJC content is a poor bet to succeed.
5 stars 5/5
By Sun and Kai
Why do "improvements" equal less information and more scrolling??? Though the update loads faster than before, I hate having to scroll FOREVER to review the latest news and information. So as a result I give up, close the app, and look for news elsewhere.
Back button 1/5
Back button does not work. Once you select an article, you cannot use it to go back to the main page. Please fix!! Frustrating.
Missed the mark 1/5
The look is much improved but you cannot scroll through any articles. The only way I have found to read the entire text is to copy and paste it into a note. Good potential, though.
Nice Improvement 5/5
So much faster loading - good update.
Not buying subscription 1/5
It's not gonna work I'm not buying your subscription I don't care how bad you make your app, mark Bradley should sue you, ur update did not fix anything, where are the blogs? Bradley and dawg news is all I want from you, if u can't do that ur wasting my time
Good way to get the news in Georgia 4/5
By Kenneth Mallory
I have always enjoyed the AJC's paper editions. However the digital version has won me over as they have updated the site with the latest news
For some reason when you scroll down, read an article, and click out of the article; the app takes you all the way back to the beginning. You have to scroll all the way down to find your place.
A social media page, not a newspaper 1/5
The fundamental problem is that the app gives only the stories that some teenager working for ajc thinks you should be interested in. I want a navigable newspaper, not another youtube channel.
A useless news app with no search capability and limited stories. However, if you're looking for an extremely left leaning slant on the news, this may be for you.
Needs more work 2/5
Every time I use my finger to scroll, the story my finger lands on opens. No matter how carefully I place my finger down. This is certainly annoying.
Fix it! 1/5
Fix your online services now. And put EVERYTHING back in the print paper until you have your act together.
