This app is good for just booking trips. It would be much better if users could use their coupons and vouchers in the app rather than having to use the full website. Also, it would be nice to be able to save payment information and preferences such as with the ALASKA AIRLINES MILEAGE CARD.

I absolutely LOVE how quick and easy the check in process is! I forgot to check in the day prior so I’m scrambling now to do it and was worried I wouldn’t be able to online and then I’d have to stand in a horrible line to get to a kiosk that I have to figure out how to use... but NOPE! Few clicks and away I go!

Buggy. Awkward to use. Features that worked yesterday don’t work today. Does not reliably pull customer data from my account to forms that should know me.
In flight entertainment loads sometimes and not others.
Feels like a high school coding class put it together.
Sorry, it’s really not very good which is too bad because I like pretty much everything else about the airline!

I was unable to change my reservation through the app, after Alaska rescheduled my flight to a time that did not work for me. I had to wait three hours for a call back and hope that no one took all the seats on the secondary flight that I needed to be on. The App is great with that exception. Might need some attention from the design team.
Just my experience. Take it as it is. If you can do that on the app then it needs to be more user friendly because I could not find

Works great every time. Push notifications are spot on, when to check in, boarding, or changes in gate. Just wish they would have an iPad app that fit the iPad screen.

Inability to see what is written in review. Very poor! In addition website to check in challenges trying to pay for a bag utilizing Alaska visa. Had to take several attempts to confirm the bag was paid for. Made one attempt at Destiination check in by calling Alaska and the person would not help me try to check in the bag to the website issues was told her to try again

Clearly not synced with online systems 2/5
My wife checked us in for our flight. Couldn’t get my boarding pass so I decided to use the mobile app and check in myself. First it said that she was not checked in (she had her boarding pass right there, clearly wrong on that count). Then, despite having entered my TSA number when we booked and several times during the online check in process it didn’t show on the boarding pass. Every time I entered it and clicked Done the app managed to delete it. A really bad experience

Doesn’t store my credit card/ can’t link up to my phone’s stored values. Also it defaults to my phone number from ten years ago and makes me type my current phone number in every time.

This app will only appear on my iPad in portrait so I have to take it off it’s keyboard and hold it. If I go to Alaskair.com, I don’t have that issue. The app is great on my phone when traveling tho.

Timeout is set too low, with all the questions and decisions to make it takes more time to fill out, no back buttons when assigning seats, iPhone and iPad app had different flight selection results.
Times out during the booking process a lot and sometimes that results in you having to pay a new price that magically appeared.
There isn’t any way to go ‘back’ in the booking process either, only cancel entirely and restart or move forward in the process.
It works for tracking mileage though

Alaska is the best hands down! I have tried to fly with other airlines but I never feel sincerely welcomed or comfortable. I had one bad experience with rude/attitude flight staff. I was so disappointed, I just had to say something because this lady ruined Alaska’s perfection LOL. They gave me a $50.00 which was awesome! So, in closing, I love Alaska! They really are the best hands down!!! To date, I have never had a bad experience on a AA flight per se. The First Class service is awesome. The Premium Class is awesome. However, Coach service could be better. The flight attendants are not as friendly? Maybe cause they have so much more personalities and service to deal with?
Idea: Add on more attendant that starts at the back with a pad, takes orders and walks to cart to fill?
Second, I applied for and received the credit card $15,000 - great right! Not! what I didn’t like is they charged me $75.00 Annual Fee before I even activated the card!!! I went on a cruise after I applied, got home, had to go straight back to work. By the time I settled down to open 2 1/2 weeks or so of my mail, I discovered the card and and invoice which was now late! Aka late fee. I thought this was bad business and cancelled the card.
But I still love me some AA just won’t use there high interest, money grubbing credit card.

Why are there not notifications on a flight change? I had to go to the app and randomly refresh the page to be notified of my changed flight for the second time. No email and no notification through the app. Thank god I happened to refresh it or we would of missed our flight!

I was booked on a trip and not notified until 2 days before that my return flight was cancelled they did not book me on a flight that day .. they want me to pay for another day at the hotel and that I was lucky to get on the next day .. I booked this a month in advance and not the same

Free cancellation is a lie 1/5
We purchased tickets June 2nd, the website clearly states free cancellation for any flights purchased before June 30th if you purchased directly through Alaska air and purchased a non refundable first class, main or award ticket; both of which we did. On their website under “Peace it Kind Waiver for tickets purchased February 27 to June 30th it states “You May cancel your trip without a fee and deposit funds into my account wallet or receive a credit certificate for future travel.” When I go to cancel my flight on the website I’m given the option to pay $125 per person (2) now for the credit or pay $125 per person when we book replacements flights. So “free cancellation” really means $125 fee per person, not free.
The app can be easier to use I feel like it too difficult compare to the other airline websites and app

Best Customer Service Bar None! 5/5
I travel often for Business and Pleasure. That said, I always try and use Alaska Airlines for all my travel needs. Why? Because every time it has been necessary to contact a travel provider’s customer service department for help, it is Alaska Airlines customer service people that go out of their way to help me solve an issue.
From canceling and rescheduling flights for several employees or family, to navigating the Alaska airlines online phone App, I am always surprised as to how helpful, kind, and REAL the people I speak to are at Alaska Airlines. Thus, Alaska airlines has the best customer service, Bar None!
btw...Thank you, Wendy in customer Service. You made my day in getting my “online wallet” and flights in order today.
