Pretty good app 5/5
I have been using this app since 2012. The app was rough in the early years but the constant updates have made this an app I don’t want to go without. It’s great at finding new trails near my home. I also love the added feature of it keeping track of your monthly, annual, and lifetime stats. I have used this app all over the country. It works great as a backpacking tracker in the back country of Yellowstone with no cell signal and it works great at my local park. I upgraded to the Pro version this year for the first time and am very happy with it! Great all around Trail app for tracking or finding trails. I highly recommend this app.
This app could be better by providing the average time it takes to hike the trail.
Love this app 4/5
I started using this app mainly for Scout activities. I bought the pro membership 2 years ago and have never regretted it. Being able to not only record hikes but I can also print out maps for the scouts to use is a great feature. The only reason for not giving this 5 stars was I wish it would sync with the activity app on the Apple watch. Trying to use both apps on the watch messed up my recording of a hike. You need to start the workout on the watch and AllTrails on the phone.
Love it! 5/5
Awesome because we can know where is going to hiking places than looking on the google!
Love it 5/5
Wherever i travel I check this out!!
Super helpful 5/5
This app is my go-to when researching hikes! The difficulty ratings, reviews, and photos are very helpful when deciding on a trail. The trail maps are great too. I may decide to purchase the offline maps version for when I don’t have service.
Great app. Only thing is titles for trails are misleading. I like that things are organized by peak, park etc but the order in which they come up based on search is not intuitive or clear.
Great app! 5/5
All trails is a great app! Download it now for your iOS Device!
Beautiful View 5/5
Highly recommend the trek to the top. Fantastic view of Santa Barbara.
This app is perfect for hiking. It is easy to use and navigate through the features. Massive catalog of trails. In my experience the app is accurate with regard to metrics.
New User 5/5

This was my first hike using All Trails. Now, I’ve not gotten the paid subscription yet. Yet! I wanted to try it out first. The two points I wanted to “test out,” if you will, were: does the app All Trails actually follow the trail, and how accurate is the information provided about the trail? All Trails did not fail on either point.
Now Little Bear Creek Trail is definitely a suburban trail, but they do a really great job of including a lot of the natural habitat that was there before it was developed. You can find my review of the trail here. All of that is to say that this was more a walk than a hike. I kept the app opened as I walked and the app followed me right along the trail. Mind you, I did not have to download the path but instead used it much like I would Google Maps. The app followed me as I walked along the red line that highlights the trail. All Trails also pointed out with a black dashed line anytime there was a little offshoot from the path. Seriously, you’d have to work at it to get lost in the woods using All Trails.
To the second point, was the information about the trail accurate? All Trails gives one or two brief little descriptions of what can be found along the trail, the amount of traffic, what kind of terrain, the elevation, the distance, and whether it is a loop or an out-and-back. Little Bear Creek Trail is right down the street from me and I know the area pretty well. The information provided by All Trails was a bit of a surprise to me, but I surely found to my further surprise that it was all accurate. There is a little grey area about the loop and the out-and-back format of the trail, but to get the full 5 miles walk indicated by All Trails, I walked it as a loop.
Going forward, Little Bear Creek Trail was designated an “easy” trail and for the most part I agree with that. As I traverse more complex trails it will be interesting to see how these designators stack up to my perception. That said, another great tool in All Trails is the review sections, where actual users leave a review of the trail providing even more information to All Trail description. All-in-All I give All Trails a 5 Stars!
Best trail app I’ve found 5/5
As a really amateur hiker, this app has helped me navigate new paths and trails that are hard to find online. Recommend it!
Not for iPad 1/5
Don’t plan on using it to plan an outing on your iPad.
Love the Copy Feature 5/5
I love the new copy to clipboard feature. I use it to paste it into Google Maps to mark where I should park and see what’s around the point. Great update!
Dope AF! 5/5
No app is better for finding a trail to break you off
Never Get Lost 5/5
I was recently hiking the Domelands in Southern California. The trail is not clearly marked. Thanks to the amazing AllTrails app, I was able to meander, and keep on the trail when it was next to Impossible to make out. So thankful I had AllTrails to lead me there and back! Could not have done it without it!
Will get the pay version soon. Awesome app
All Trails 5/5
This a great app, don’t leave home without it.
👍🏼👍🏼 & ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
Amazing app for anyone looking for great hikes and off-road info. For the trails that I’ve used based on this app and it’s maps, it’s been spot on! Can’t beat it!
Perfect hiking app 5/5
Love this app!!!!!
Must have! 5/5
This is a must have Ap for any outdoor enthusiast and also works great to just find things to do traveling. It’s my go to even in my own home town!
When traveling and exploring new terrain, I rely on it 100%
Gpx upload 1/5
There is no doubt that this app has a large library of trails.
However, if you want to download a route as a gpx file and then import that file into a program like Basecamp for your Garmin device you will be disappointed. The file has literally thousands of waypoints. This is the case even if you custom build the route using only a few waypoints and then upload it. The only workaround is to convert to tracks which are limited as compared to routes in many respects.
Also, there is no support. I called the only number available, the one that appeared on my “Pro” upgrade charge and got forwarded to a google voicemail.....still waiting for a callback.
Good maps...nonexistent customer service....limited tools to upload and convert to Garmin handheld device.
Finally Works 5/5
I have used AllTrails for years and until the past year or so, it was pretty buggy. But lately it seems they have really upped their game and now the app works pretty much flawlessly, even for Maps that I’ve downloaded for places where there’s no connection. If you want maps of trails in places with no cellular connection, it seems to be the best of the breed.
Great app, especially if you go pro 5/5
Love the app. Go with the pro version so you can download your maps ahead of your trip and not worry about having poor service.
All the trails at my fingertips all the time. Could not be any more convenient.
Lousy in many respects 1/5
By longtime cacher
Lacking a Write Note feature is a HUGE problem! Many hikers use the app to inquire about trail access info, etc. and to do so must rate the trail! This skews the actual trail rating..... eg. the Ladder Canyon trail in California has been inaccessible for months following a flood four months ago and since then about half the Reviews gave five stars while asking or reporting road conditions.
A user unfriendly FAQ section is nicely hidden and after answering a question on page three dumps you back to the start.... simple programming issues written by someone who probably never goes hiking and has been sitting in a basement for years.
Loss if signal on the trail while hiking, are among other problems...
Love this app, super easy to find awesome spots and super easy to use!
Best hiking app 5/5
Great app. Life saver on long hikes.
Great app much of the time 4/5
Frankly the number of times the app has cut out is not very good. I have lots of half hikes. I keep the phone hooked up to a battery so it’s not a juice issue.
Pretty dope brahhh 5/5
Is purty dope brudda man. Iz got all duh trails. Like all of em. Pretty dope.

What a shame, you changed the Pro $99 version from lifetime to 5 years.
Great but.... 3/5
Love the app, only one thing that bothers me:
The fact that it only displays the trail you chose to hike on the map - it would be nice to see other options as you hike in case you decide to lengthen or shorten you hike...
Love being able to upload pics, see others pics and to share our hikes on facebook
Love All Trails!!!! 5/5

Absolutely love my All Trails App! Feel safer and more secure heading out on adventures.
Great way to find a new you trail 5/5
App is easy to use and a great resource.
Love this App 5/5
Not much else to say but that I love this app.. for a novice walker/hiker this app helps me find and navigate trails :)
Cool app! 5/5
I can find new hikes based on my preferences (location, difficulty and distance). Enjoy nature knowing I can map my location on intersecting trails.
Downloading maps??? 3/5
Trying to download the map after pro....any idea WHERE i can find the map after it downloads??
Amazing app 5/5
App is precious and will lead you to endless heavens from their amazing hikes! I love to hike when I travel and AllTrails has made my life that much better!
Hikes @ your fingertip 5/5
By Dirty Dangus Magee
The more reviews from people the easier it is to plan a hike! I love that aspect.
User friendly 5/5
Really a super great app!! So organized and easy to navigate. Really recommend.
App on iPhone Keep Crashing 1/5
I have the Pro Version of this app which I ca no longer use because every time I attempted to use the app it kept crashing after a few seconds I open the app. This after I use the app to record my backpacking trip for 4 days which the use only totaled 50 miles. But app should not be affected by a multi-day use. I hope the developers are going to fix all the bugs.
I just love this app. I have not purchased it yet but I am right now
Awesome app 5/5
I use it practically everywhere I go to look for new hike routes. I love it. Some of the non-hiking features, like mt bike info are bad but for hiking, perfect!
Great app 5/5
I have had other apps to find beautiful hikes but nothing compares. AllTrails does a great job of finding popular trails and great job with judging distance. Also, this app is very easy to use which is excellent!! Great job keep it 100
I can’t get enough of this app! So nice being able to use so many filters and the pics are great too. Elevation, distance, and even works when no cell signal! I combine this with a Topo map and mark campsites for later use. Really, not sure how else I’d improve it short of a calorie counter. Being new to an area this is all I need to get out and saves a ton of research elsewhere, plus saves a lot of time I would have spent on trails that maybe didn’t quite fit what I was looking for. With this I know fairly well what to expect. And when traveling with less experienced hikers or children that’s a huge plus!
One Tine Charge VS Subscription 2/5
By Camino Pilgrim
It’s too bad the app doesn’t provide the option to purchase downloaded maps / tracks that can be used without mobile coverage like other apps (e.g., TrailSmart). I don’t need a ton of maps and might just want to purchase one or two. Looks like a good app, but the marketing is not very customer friendly.
Awesome app 5/5
Discovering a lot of new places near and far. Great app
Love this app! 4/5

I love this app! I use it to find new trails. I record the trails I hike and review each one, also add pictures. I love that it keeps so many stats, per Trail, per month, and per year! It helps me find and stay on trails that are not marked well. I love that I can read others’ reviews and look at their pictures to get an idea about what it’s like because I’m trying to stick to not repeating any trails, so I am going to each of these trails as a newbie and the info from other hikers really helps me prepare. I am super happy with this app!!!.
My wishes for this app in future updates/features:
It’d be great if, when looking at the map of a trail, you could click on trails nearby to see more about them.
It’d also be great if you could click on camera icons and see pictures people have taken in that location.
I’d love it, too, if I could plug in a zip code and then find all the trails in or close to that area.
I wish I could figure out a way to use the recording feature without eating so much of my phone battery so fast.
Recording really eats up my phone battery. I even got an extra charger to take with me and I’m still running on fumes after about 3.5-4 hours.
I am 92% happy with this app and highly recommend it to everyone who spends time outside in nature.
