What is up with the scaling in this new update? Now I get even bigger pill-boxing and is even more annoying to use than the previous version.

Thank you Ally for updating the app! The app is so much more accessible now.
I no longer need to continue enter entering my user name and password now that there biometric login options are available.
I’ve also noticed that the app responds to Light and Dark mode on my device! I’m excited to see how the rest of the app will look in Dark mode.

Many issues including not remembering your credentials, not signing in when credentials are entered, not taking payments when “confirmed”, etc. This app is just complete rubbish.
Frozen sign in page 2/5
This app worked for me for a small amount of time and now when I open it it doesn’t even let me do ANYTHING. Its like the sign in page is frozen and I can’t even enter my username or password. Nothing.
I keep having to just go to the website. What’s the point in having an app if it doesn’t even work?

I’d like to know when Apple Face ID will be an option. Or perhaps two factor authentication. I’d assume as a bank these security features would be put into play by now. The app is pretty simple to use otherwise. I can see what I need to see for my loans.

App won’t let me login to make an ease of access to do my monthly payments for my car. I find it to be buggy too when it comes to attempting to save my username. Completely useless better off just making and icon to link me to the site on my phone than using this garbage

The sign in page comes up but is DEAD. No way to enter username and password because when you tap on either one Nothing Happens. Worthless

I have auto pay and have for two years. So for the first time in two years I have two payments come out at the same time. Ally claims I set this up, I 100% did not. I don’t even open the app because it’s on auto pay, and always has been. They said they can’t refund my double payment and I have to take it up with my bank. Deplorable.

Trying to pay car payment 1/5
What the hell is maintence?? I’ve been trying to pay my bill on line n get road block after road block. Guess I’ll have to do western union again. This is very frustrating trying to chase a financial institution to pay your car payment. Oh where not available sorry for your inconvenience. I never heard of such a thing in my life. Looks like I’m not the only one complaining.
Login is old fashioned 2/5
Please enable touch login. This logging in is old fashioned. Please add this industry standard improvement. When I called and suggested it I was told I could set up auto pay and wouldn’t have to login. Even if I did enable autopay I would still need to login to monitor the account so that is absolutely not a viable answer. The right answer is, ‘the next version will have touch login enabled’. Why is this not added asap??

1. App does not allow for fingerprint sign in.
2. App does not have a save password option.
3. App is extremely outdated and clunky.
Ally, please join the 21st century in app development, this current app is excruciatingly painful to use.
Horrible interface. Constant updating and wiping out user name and password. No thumb print to log in. A simple action like paying your bill is a pain. The app developer should never develop another application again. Humanity will thank them.

Even with the new features and bug fixes, finding out how your payment gets divided is confusing. Hoping there is another update soon to clear the confusion.

THIS ONE NEVER WORKS! Almost everytime I log in to pay, this app is down. Ive never experienced an app with this many issues before.
Worked okay with Samsung but with my iPhone it’s fairly worthless except you can pay money on it so not completely worthless

So it this just works but umm it’s dated looking and the whole password setup thing is awful. The Ally bank app is simple but a good simple. This app looks like crap and kinda just works it’s like someone who uses duct tape to keep the bumper up on their car. Please fix this.
Still no Touch ID?? 3/5
Not even sure if it does any good to post reviews on apps these days, but how do they still not have Touch ID? Ally's banking app has it, would it really be so hard to copy that over to the auto app? And when you talk to customer service to figure out how to submit the suggestion, they say no problem, I've submitted that for you. Somehow I doubt that. You've got it on one app already, for a pretty long time now. Be freaking consistent.

I shouldn’t receive an email every time I log into app. The UI could be cleaner but it works. Lastly the app chooses when it wants to save your user name and when it doesn’t which can get annoying.

This bank is so shady they always block the page 2 days before your due date so you won’t pay in time. Try to check If I did schedule the payment because I Forgot if I did schedule or not and it says page is temporary cancel

The app is awful!!! The app opens and freezes so I can never log in.
The app is an outdated piece of s****. Won’t save any info for speedy login or offer facial recognition. I hope you never run into an issue because customer service will make you want to slam your head into the desk repeatedly.

I haven’t had many problems with the app. But shutting down the entire payment thing for an entire week for “maintenance” was ridiculous. I’ve received so many spam calls since using the alternate options, and did not trust that wouldn’t charge a late fee, or report to my credit. They wouldn’t even let you talk to customer service!
A notice, an email...some type of advance some people could plan for that would’ve been nice.

This app works perfect but the only this is whenever I go onto the app it just looks so old? I don’t know how to explain it I have an iPhone 11 and it looks like the screen of a samsung galaxy 6. I don’t understand app software but I think it’s the format of the app onto the phone it’s downloaded? No clue honestly but please work on that:)

The app definitely needs improvements, but if all you need to do is check the balance, double check your due date, and make a payment with a cc you already have saved on your account than it’s fine.

Minus the having to wait due to maintenance to make my payment this month this app has been great. It won’t let me change the name of the account though even though I edit it and have talked to them it never changes. The point of the app though is to make payments and check on how much you owe and this app does a great job of that. All my payments go through quickly! I recommend using this app if you have a loan with Ally!

When I try to open the app to make a payment it continually asks me to update my software. When I try to update the software it tells me I have the latest version. Then I try to go into the app for a payment and it keeps redirecting me to the update page where no update is actually available!!!

Out of all my mobile apps to pay my bills, this one is easily the most difficult, and least effective app I have downloaded on my phone.
The app is incapable of remembering your username, so make sure you don’t forget it, or it will lock you out of the app and make it impossible to get back in.
Ally bank needs to do better for their auto loan app. It’s 2020 now - come on.

Don’t get a loan from them as they only want to get your money. There is no customer service. Every time I call them they can’t find answers and say that they will call you and they will never call.
This app freezes constantly and rarely works when I need it to. Updates have not improved the functionality.

Over the past few months it’s been one thing or another with the app and logging in. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but then it freezes. Not sure what’s been going on but I hope they fix it soon.

Whats annoying is you have to keep logging in, which becomes a hassle. Other apps allow you to log in with your fingerprint which is way more convenient. This app would be perfect if it added that feature.

9/10 the app doesn’t work!!! When ever I call it takes me at least 30-40 to reach someone!!! I’m trying to refinance as soon as possible! What a horrible mistake this was!!!
I’ve had this app off and on for years. I keep deleting it and reinstalling every couple months hoping they’ve fixed it. But this app never works. A lot of times you can’t even log in, it’s just frozen on the front page. Totally useless for the past five years.

Why can every bank related app on my phone remember my username and password but not this one? Appears to be some kind of planned hassle so people end up with late payments. So far I have never had a problem with this he bank but dang fix this app.

Can’t make payments. Every single month, I have to go through an impossible routine to reset my password. Now it says my social is wrong. This means that I can’t reset anything. Pure trash. Someone needs to be fired.
