The APP has not worked for me for months. The homepage states vehicle details are temporarily unavailable & that they’re working on routine maintenance or fixing an issue.

The app is down literally all the time. At least 6/10 times I try to log in. When it actually works it’s easy to do everything in there.

Had it running for 6 months and after calling their CSR network various times I can now confirm that even though it never gave me any information about my car or my payments or my balance this App is far from serving any purpose.
A waist of time and memory on my phone. Sorry to have downloaded it and try to use it. Say goodbye while it’s still early

Ally won't accept my checking account 1/5
Ally won't accept my checking account from one of the biggest financial institutions in the world! I need them to accept it to pay my auto loan. The app is also down all the time.

I have been with financial since 2019 and I have been on autopay since the start. This past year I have been given an email every due date that my auto payment has been suspended. I have called several times to try and get this issue fixed and everytime I call they say it will be fixed by next month. This has yet to be fixed and today it suspended my payment last second yet AGAIN and now my payment is past due. Stay away from ally auto.

When this app is actually working it’s very user friendly and easy to use. However, it doesn’t always work. I’ve been trying to change my name on my car loan for like 2 months and it never works. Trying to actually get someone on the phone is seemingly impossible and the app is conveniently “under maintenance” every time I need to use it, yet nothing ever seems to get fixed.

Really enjoyed using the app before the update. I was able to see pay off quotes and purchase options. Now you have to go through the website to get that info. Such an inconvenience

Downloaded the app after leasing a car through Ally. Signed up online and had no issues, but when trying to login to the app, I get a message saying “app unavailable, please call us.” Had this message every day for 3 days, haven’t been able to login at all. Called Ally, told me they would have it running again in a couple hours. Still no luck.

While the website is extremely easy to navigate; I have an issue with paying with my debit card. When I’m in the middle of inputting my information into the offsite website for debit cards, everything is interrupted due to my short session on the Ally website. Typically, I use the checkings account; however, when I’m attempting to pay my bill because it’s a few days past my due date and my session keeps closing out; it is frustrating. Please allow the sessions to be a little longer so that I can make my payment with my debit card. I have to ensure that I type in everything correctly but I don’t type slowly. Please fix this. Thank you

It can’t do anything but tell you to login via web browser for any info. Completely useless and pointless.

When logging in through the app it just says “vehicle details currently unavailable”. I call and they just have me log into the account through a browser. They tell me it’s my phone and I have to uninstall and redownload the app. I have, and it’s been like the 4 years I’ve had this vehicle with no access through the app. Pointless.

I downloaded the app to track my account just to be told it isn’t working and to call customer service…. Really people??? If that’s what I wanted to do , I wouldn’t have downloaded the app… I would give it no stars by that’s not an option…

When I first started on this app it was great! Now over a week I can’t log in at all using any of my credentials. It keeps saying ally auto is unavailable. What’s the point in this app if it’s never updated or available when needed. So I’ll just use the main webpage in future.

I've had this app for months now, reported it as not working keep getting a message that it can't display information at this time. Reported it and they said they would look into it. Never heard from them again reinstalled it still doesn't work. It's a useless app.

I downloaded, I put in 3 pieces of info, it found my auto loan, I created an account, all of my load data was correct, I set up auto payments….DONE! Works WAY better than my old loan company’s app. I was in and out in under 5 minutes. GREAT APP!

Trust me just get a cashiers check and send it in. The the worst customer service ever. Charged accounts I deleted have proof I deleted have witnesses I deleted Screenshots and Emails. When I call I’m Basically told what I’m seeing isn’t happening still don’t understand how you think over drafting someone’s account 4 times I think we are at with one pending now at high fee BofA triggering a charge back so what’s that $35 3 times each time in a two week period then the app just disappeared the payment method I have all the emails of me adding and removing the payment methods. I have screen shots of the app disappearing and showing wrong information. I would imagine calling customer service the first time should have fixed this but no. I had to put a stop payment to keep them from charging a deleted account over and over and over that was also another $30….. and it still takes 24 hours to fix if they do it again….. the funny thing is the app says they have been paid….. So why do you keep charging me? STOP! I’m sending a check from now on….period. My credit score is certainly much less than it was a few weeks ago. That account it hooked to Experian Boost…… I don’t know if it’s the app or Ally or some crucial information has not been conveyed to me over the course of I forget how many calls and a wonderful conversation with one of you’re very informed “Specialists”…….. (Guess how many times I called after that) but Maybe someone who knows what they are talking about and is prepared to speak to me like a customer would like to contact me? Because at the moment I kinda feel like it’s knowingly being allowed to continue. I’m just trying to pay you.

I would give it zero stars if I could. I downloaded the app set up every thing and all I get is messages saying it can’t display the information at this time ( I have been getting this message for the last month). When I go to the payment section it says it has no data to show. Which I know is not true since I have been making the payment on time. I not sure how people are giving this app great reviews unless they are fake

I tried logging in to the app and was not able to. I called customer service and they said to delete and reinstall the app so I did but no luck. I tried again and they said they would get it figured out on there end and yet again I couldn’t login to the app nor access there website. I finally try turning my vpn off and accessing the app and what do you know it works perfect smh! To sum it up they won’t let you access there app or site if you have any kind of security that blocks them from getting ALL of your data!

WHY IS THE APP down for hours every. single. day?! “We are updating our systems, so the Ally Auto mobile app is temporarily unavailable” this is 2021, I have NEVER used another app that is “Updated” every day and completely useless.

Every time I try to open it it says system updating but there’s no update available. I hate that the auto pay is extremely limited options as well. Should have just paid a slightly higher rate and gone through capital one again…

If you are new to this company please do yourself a favor and RUN in the other direction. Customer service is absolutely deplorable and they couldn’t care less. If you need any issues resolved, forget it. Getting to an actual manager or corporate is nearly impossible. It’s likely your regret from using this company outweighs any benefits. They only accept money here .
Busted a great app 1/5
This app used to be great. I could log in and see all my account info, my payoff amount, details about my car and payments, etc. since the overhaul, it’s completely busted. Links to car details bring up an empty page, no payoff info, and transactions completely blank. So sad.
I can’t log in to my account. It keeps telling me to update but when I try it won’t do anything.

Update: STILL no resolution. Had someone email a couple weeks ago saying he was looking into it. Still no response. I would rather walk that get financing from Ally again.
This institution has the MOST incompetent employees I’ve ever dealt with. Seeming as I’m coming up on 20 cars in the last 10 years, I have dealt with a lot of them. These pathetic people nailed my credit while waiting for Gap insurance to pay. When they didn’t pay, I paid the car off. Now today, 6 WEEKS LATER, they nailed me for another late payment and my account is still delinquent. I just got the letter 2 weeks ago saying, “thank you for paying off your vehicle.” From Ally. These “people” are really really disgusting. Their customer service is gross. I’d have more pride flipping burgers that working for such a horrible company. I’ll keep this up every week until the matter is solved. Then I will leave it up for as long as it’s taking to fix your pathetic mistake.
