Buy twice? 3/5
The game is great. However, I purchased it for my iPad and now they want me to purchase it again for my iPhone? And that seems like a rip off. Perhaps I’m not doing it right?
And it says it has family sharing but I can’t share it with myself?
Fantastic Game! 5/5
By Sam the Lynx
It is rare that I have ever beat a game and enjoyed the thrill of the chase. I played the original Alto’s Adventure for the last couple years as a way to relax by skiing and mastering the moves and obstacles. Even after I beat AA I continued to play it because there were many ways to get better and more efficient at earning points, and it was still fun to play. That brings me to Alto’s Odyssey - my extensive mastering of AA made this game easier to play, but it also has its challenges, and just as much fun to play. A refreshing take when compared with the original. I have an idea and title for the next game in the series! Thanks for a great playing experience. I will continue to play and try to master the obstacles in this game too!
Almost Perfect 4/5
I loved the original Altos adventure and I got that as a free download one random day, so I paid for Odyssey of course! But just one thing Tupa gets cool colored snow after he lands a trick and Sumara gets nothing!!! so disappointed :( I unlocked her as fast as I could and just regular sand behind her when she lands a trick lame af. She should get some cool colored sand behind her
Annoying bug with rocks 3/5
When i jump right after i landed a trick and still hit a rock while jumping sometimes i don’t get the boost. So i die. Really annoying. Kills me all the time.
Also can i have the option to have the wingsuit button on the right side please.
Also it really needs more than 3 biomes. I thought at first oh cool biomes. And then it was just 3 and i got really disappointed. I know a lot of different biomes that could fit in. Its just not a lot of variety tbh. Its just really repetitive. It may as well just be one biome for all that i can tell :/
More 'certain death' moments than the original 3/5
Great game, gorgeous, but also more frustrating than the original due to some moments when you are simply going to die and there's nothing you can do about it. For example, you may not yet have enough speed to cross a chasm -- dead. You may not have enough momentum to wall grind high enough to cross a chasm -- dead. You may bounce into a pool right before a ramp and a chasm, bouncing up and helplessly into the chasm, dead.
It’s all good 5/5
Major performance issues on iPhone X 1/5
Love this game but I can barely play it because it freezes constantly, despite repeated uninstallation and re-installations.
Currently, I can’t go more than 500 meters (in game) without experiencing a total freeze and shutdown of the game.
Fun game, but there was actually a glitch where I fell through the map and had to restart. I am not kidding, this actually happened, so pls fix. I actually have video proof of this happening, but this only happened once. Other than that it’s an interesting and fun game!
Fun but not as good as the original. Lags a lot, there’s less to do throughout the runs, lemurs are too fast too soon.
Gorgeous & fun 5/5

Requests for Team Alto:
— please improve the edge detection, and make it more difficult to accidentally trigger a press on the screen from one of the fingers holding the phone (I’m using an iPhone X)
— please increase the touch area for the Wingsuit button—I particularly find myself getting stuck in wingsuit mode, struggling to disable it and then crashing
— when the player makes progress towards a goal without completing it before crashing (e.g., “Smash 50 rocks in one run”) please show the Goals screen at the end of the run (like you do when the player completes a goal) so that we can keep track of whether we’re improving
— on the pause screen, please consider reorganizing the bottom-left menu, so that “Resume” has more space between it and the other items (so that I don’t have to be so precise, considering that Resume is the action I use on this screen the vast majority of the time)
Thanks for the incredible game!
Won’t open 3/5
I updated the other day and now it won’t open, please fix
App will launch from store but not from icon which is grayed out and I cannot uninstall and reinstall, please advise
Fantastic game overall 4/5
By The Wysockis
A great game that is well worth the money. I was a fan of the first and was excited to buy the sequel.
Only one minor complaint-Game Center does not appear to work for me. I would like to see how some of my scores stack up, but I always get a message telling me that there is a data retrieval issue, despite being on very solid wi-fi.
This game sets the bar! 5/5
By Axcel Foley
This is what a game should be like when a developer takes his time and puts their all into a game. The attention to detail is unbelievable, from crashing through a rock and feeling the phone vibrate to the beautiful scenery that you said ski through.
Almost perfect. 4/5
I was so excited for the sequel to finally come out. The game is amazing. HOWEVER, The night time I'm is wayyyy too dark and lasts way too long. It's almost impossible to see what's in front of you at times as well as if your right side up when you're doing backflips. Great game but not a fan of the night mode.
Fix it 1/5
The game is choppy and unplayable on the iPhone 6
Separate apps for iPad and iPhone? 2/5
Love these games, but the App Store is trying to charge us twice for downloading to an iPhone and an iPad
So good 5/5
Altos Adventure was the most beautiful game in the world. I have beaten all the levels, so I kind of quit. Then, I heard that this came out, and I bought it instantly. It is the greatest game I have ever played. The biomes keep getting better. This is so good.
One tweak i recommend 3/5
I love the game overall and I still play the first one. The game play is fun and the visuals play so well.
***My only suggestion which would make the experience better is that the 3 objectives or missions that we complete at a time should reset during play instead of the player having to die to see what the next three missions are.
Because right now I’ll complete the three objectives then find myself having to kill myself off just so I can start over to see what next missions are.
Crate box? 5/5
By Albert Renshaw
I’ve loved this game, the quest I’m on says I have to smash a crate drop while it’s in the air... I’ve practically beat the whole game and have no clue what a create drop is. Never seen one this whole time. A little light here?
4 stars but.… 4/5
Normally I rate this game 5 stars but as of late the game won't sinc between my iPad and iPhone. I can't continue when I switch devices. Please fix. Thanks
Wonderful but a question or two 4/5
I love this game. So smooth and well designed! The challenges are a bit more difficult than those in Adventure, and there are more features. I have some thoughts:
- If this is a desert, why does it rain so much?
- Lemur animations glitch constantly! I was hoping the update would cover this, but only a bit...
-MORE BIOMES PLEASE
-Some of the chasms in the canyons where you have to go up a wall to reach the ground above are virtually impossible to climb! Please make the height difference between the ground on either side a little less extreme!
Love the game, hate the crashes... 4/5
Super fun, mind numbing, trance like addictiveness. Not much different than the original, and that’s fine by me.
Problem is, about every 12 plays or so, the game freezes after I crash. It won’t allow me to select ‘Continue’ after Alto (or whichever character) wrecks. I’m playing on Apple TV 11.2.6 I have to reboot the Apple TV to get it going again.
Does level 30 exist? 3/5
I really like this game as I did with the first game, but I am quickly getting frustrated. It appears there are not 3 opportunities to jump to a bring from a wall no matter how long the run. If you create a challenge you should make the opportunity to achieve that challenge. I am certainly not the best game player around, but if I am not presented with the opportunity within reason, I am going to get frustrated and quit playing. I also have an issue not being able to see my player in during some of then night sequences, and definitely the nights are too long.
Please fix as I really do like this game would hate to abandon it. I want to advance to higher levels.
Perfect sequel to Alto’s Adventure. Somehow, the music is even better than the original.
Just one issue for me. Goals aren’t syncing across my devices.
Great Game... 4/5
By Another Steve
Beautiful graphics, total eclipse, fun and challenging!
All that said I HATE level 49. I flip close to the ground, don’t get credit. Bounce off rocks and wall glide, don’t get credit.
Great Game other than that.
One glitch is driving me insane 4/5
I love this game but there’s one glitch that’s very frustrating. When you’re wall riding over a chasm, and go below a certain point, you automatically fall off and the round ends. This is frustrating because you could easily jump to get more height and/or use your wingsuit to save yourself, but you aren’t even given the chance to do either. Why even have the wall dots below this “cut off point” if users can’t utilize them?
Great game, but.. 2/5
Great game, but it’s so similar to Alto’s Adventure. Besides bouncing on balloons and getting lifted by sandstorms, there’s virtually no changes to the actual gameplay. Similarly, the scenery and the shop is extremely similar but just with desert versions instead of snow. Honestly, it would have been way better, in my opinion, to implement this as an in-app purchasable theme for the first game rather than pretend (and trick me to think) that it’s a whole new game.
Solid sequel 5/5
I was greatly looking forward to this sequel. The graphics are great, art is beautiful and serene, and the melody hypnotizing. The 1.0.3 update is a solid release and enhances many of the wingsuit flight dynamics. Can you wall-ride to wingsuit flight with the occasional bounce off of a hot air balloon or two? Give it a shot! This is the big brother to the game we all fell in love with!
Great improvement 5/5
By This is Privite
I’ve played alto adventure and this is definitely a big step from that. One little thing I don’t like is how much it cost to switch biomes with the compass. Apart from that, great game
Great twist on Infinite Runners, Bad Obstacles 4/5
Look, it’s a great game! A huge game, with extensive biomes and a heartfelt soundtrack, but the obstacles are so annoying! The rocks are too hard to distinguish from other barriers in all times except the normal day time. The only difference is that the rocks look like mini mountains, but when you’re playing in-depth into the game with high speeds, you do not realize the difference until it’s too late. I propose that the easiest solution is to be able to select a preference biome/time, whether it’s random or one single background, so that players like myself can enjoy the full experience.
Please fix this 2/5
By Jay abusa
At the beginning I can nearly start. It just freeze. I have an iPhone 8 Plus.
Please Add More Challenges!!! 5/5
This is one of the most enjoyable phone game I’ve ever played. I think it is in part because of the way that its level system works — each level has three challenges that you have to complete to go up to the next level. Trying to complete these challenges is very addicting. I have completed all challenges/levels in both Alto’s Adventure and Odyssey. (The addition of new characters with higher skills is a great reward system, too.)
Can you please add more levels/challenges to both games (maybe in some future update)!
And maybe add another crazy character, or two, or four — Alto’s twin sister? Or maybe Alto’s precocious, fearless, diaper-wearing, baby sister who bounces off rocks twice as high as the others? I’d be willing to pay for additional characters (although I would still like to ‘earn’ the characters by completing levels).
In any case, lovely game! Thank you for creating it.
Tons of fun! Except one bug 4/5
By Josiah Dean
This game is tons of fun! apart from using 3D Touch to activate the wingsuit. When doing so there’s a noticeable lag between hard pressing and the wingsuit activating causing precise moments to always end in a crash...
Also note this lag is not present whatsoever in Alto’s Adventure.
Love the game but... 5/5
I am a big fan of the original & this new installment as well, though I find that the night lasts substantially longer than the day & rock & other obstacles are nearly impossible to see. Playin during the day, glare & reflections make it frustrating. It would be nice if there was a brightness adjustor in the menu. Otherwise a solid game that I would recommend!!
Is there any way to stop the wing suit from activating when I flip, rather annoying!!
By Pat Mees
I think that this games graphics are absolutely incredible and this game is calming and relaxing like when i have headaches and i play zen mode and I think that team alto did with this game is phenomenal andI just want to say thankyou you guys are really helping with my nerves and headaches I can’t say thank you enough
Well . . . 4/5
The game has a number of nice features, all of which have been written about already. But I’ve had a few problems:
1. Much of the game happens at night. It is difficult to see what is happening at night, even on an iPhone 7+ screen.
2. The continual crashes make the game tedious after a while. After you’ve tried fifty times to get through a scenario the game starts to feel more like work. I used to play the game a lot. Now I play once or twice a day, just on the off chance that I’ll finally finish the scenario.
3. The game’s continual encouragements ring hollow after a while. “You’ll make it next time” — I didn’t and haven’t for a long time.
4. When you crash you have to start at the beginning every time, and the beginning ain’t all that interesting.
5. The game wants me to “land tricks” in order to build speed. But often there are few early opportunities to land tricks.
6. I “bought” some kind of flying device for 7,000 points. The net effect of the device seems to be to increase the frequency of crashes. I wish I could turn it off.
Beautiful Game 5/5
Not only great art and effects, but fun, smooth gameplay too. The progression in this game is smooth and lets you go at your own pace. Zen mode is really nice if you get really frustrated with a goal. Even though I never played the first game, Alto and his friends feel like well developed characters already after a few days of playing. Very few bugs and frequent updates with new content and bug fixes (For the few that are there.) Definitely worth the five bucks!
Wonderful on handheld. Unplayable on TV 4/5
I love this game and just wish it would work on Apple TV! There’s a pretty serious delay in controls.
Awesome sauce 5/5
Seriously one of the best games on the App Store. Just as fun as the first with updated tracks and playing. If you don’t have it your missing out.
Fixed in 1.0.3: 1.0.2 update less smooth on iPad Pro 10.5”? 4/5
Still a great game, but it sure seems less smooth (running at a lower frame rate?) with the latest 1.0.2 update. I’m using a 10.5” iPad Pro.
Looks like this is fixed in the quickly-released 1.0.3. Great!
Good, but needs some improvements. 2/5
Fun game so far, but could be better.
1. “Watch out for that rock!” Not very easy to do at all if you are visually impaired and the game is in night time. This game desperately needs an option to choose only to play during the daytime.
2. I FINALLY save up enough coins to purchase the compass, only to find out that it cost a whopping THOUSAND coins to travel to a different biome. This is ridiculous and detracts from the fun of the game.
I enjoy playing this game, but the two above issues detract enough from the game to make it frustrating and unsatisfying to play at times. Hopefully, some adjustments can be made.
Edit: even after the latest update, the game is still as frustrating as ever. Still
PLZ ADD CONTROLLERS 5/5
By Yukon Cornelius 3
I have a controller and it would be sooo cool if I can use it on alto odyssey
One of the best games for iOS ever made 5/5
By Lost American In France
The design, simplicity and fun are on a level that has kept me going to Alto everyday!
Better than altos adventure 5/5
By Jazzy stargiver
The scenery in this is amazing from a starry sunset to a blue rainstorm to a red hazy sandstorm. The animations and colors are similar yet it feels like such a new environment. I really think you should add similar things like wall riding or bouncing off balloons onto altos adventure to make it more interesting for that too. Overall a well spent five dollars
Performance problems 5/5
I've really enjoyed plaything this game since it was released, but performance on my iPhone SE has really dropped off after the past two updates (currently 1.0.2).
It used to be silky smooth, hitting the full frame rate of the display. Now it's probably barely managing 30 fps. The performance is similar to when I'd have my phone on low power mode. I love playing this game, but the loss in performance is frustrating.
This is an awesome game. And I know I am just some kid saying it’s awesome, although I figure many and I mean MANY adults will love your game. It is elegant,Swift, a nice way to escape your own world and let your dreams come true! I am at level 19.
And keep on making awesome games!!!! 🤘 rock on !!!!
Superb follow up! 5/5
By Coolhand Mike
I loved Alto’s Adventure and the wait for Alto’s Odyssey was worth it! My only (minor) complaint is that I finished all of the challenges but some of my achievements related to them haven’t registered. This is a great game!
Perfect now 5/5
I originally wrote my review down a star because of the lag. The new update fixed it, thank you
Didn’t know an app could be this good 5/5
I thought that when Alto’s Adventure came out it was the best, and this is like 10 times better. Wish there was a button for 6 stars👍
Separate apps? 5/5
Update: thanks to dev reply I learned it IS a universal app, yet the App Store on my iPad was showing a BUY button (yes I was logged in to right account) instead of the download cloud. But when I checked today (a couple of weeks later at this point), the cloud was there, so I guess it was an App Store hiccup.
I just realized that there are separate apps for iPhone and iPad, which means they want me to buy it again on iPad even though I already own it on iPhone. That’s lame.
