No games? :/ 3/5
By i love my kitty name darla😍🍩
Can you make games for this app =/
It’s kinda cool 4/5
I like it I mostly like the shows like wild krafts and odd squad 😀
No games 1/5
By Wonder _Woman
I don’t understand why am not able to get any of my children’s apps (games)on the Apple device even though I have a subscription with Amazon already. The fire tablets have all the apps and I’m trying to switch it over to the Apple tablet and it’s very limited.
Difficult to cancel 1/5
By Tj at work
It’s very easy to find instructions on how to cancel, but the menu options and the instructions do not seem to exist. I’ve spent 30 minutes looking for the manage subscription option. Very frustrating. The app itself is fine, but my daughter does not seem interested in using it.
Parent dashboard is too hard to get to 1/5
My son has a amazon fire with FreeTime on it. I have no need for freetime apps on my phone, but what I do want is to access the parental controls. The workflow to get there is a disaster. No Face ID support, no quick access. Maybe there should be a separate parents app?
No games on iOS 1/5
We were extremely disappointed that after switching to an iPad, we lost access to all of my son’s games that he had on the fire tablet. It’s frustrating to pay for a subscription that doesn’t have all of the content available. Besides the iOS issues, the app is great on a fire tablet.
I selected to limit content to my 5 year old’s age but everything was not leveled properly.... like YouTube useless. Doesn’t even work overseas.
Cannot block content on IOS App 1/5
I have read countless forums and spent hours trying to block content from an iPhone, iPad and fire stick. It will not show ANY option to block. I can only set age restrictions. The entire point of my subscription was to block specific shows. Very disappointed.
I HATE IT 1/5
IT IS THE BEST WAY TO WASTE Your MONEY
Not able to access the app In Rwanda 1/5
The app is amazing. However you can’t access it in Rwanda App Store.
I don’t get it 1/5
I pay for the subscription and downloaded the FreeTime app, downloaded the Amazon app and cannot download books for my son’s kindle without paying an additional fee for them. What is the point of the subscription?
Best kids app 5/5
I simple love it! From the age filter to the screen time. I love how much control this gives you over the activities your child can do. I truly love it! I got the first fire 7 for my 4 year old God Son and then got a second one for his sister. I just truly love it. Will absolutely get a next one anytime I can.
I’m unimpressed with this app. It’s not very user friendly and I can never seem to find what I’m looking for. My daughter has a child’s kindle, and managing the content through here really stinks. She also said she’s trying to reach a reading goal, but I can’t see what it is or how to modify it. Not impressed, Amazon.
No way to change which child is covered 1/5
There is no way to change which kid is covered by a subscription. It says to switch on another device. What other device? Where on the web page? I’ve wasted an hour looking. Perhaps they are trying to avoid Apple fees. Fine, then make it easy (or at least possible) via the web page.
Not happy with services 1/5
I purchased two tablets for my grandsons, one name pops up on both tablets. They have 0 access to free time
Book problem 3/5
This app is good but has a big problem, say your reading a book, and then after a few pages you exit out of the book, when you click the book again to pick up where you left up , it forgets your place. You have to read a certain amount of pages for it to bookmark it. I was reading this book and was about halfway through, (it was a long book) I read a lot more, and was almost at the end, when I decided to take a break. When I opened the book, half my progress was lost, very annoying
Good Idea but... 2/5
I like the idea of having an age appropriate Amazon App. That’s a good idea. However, my daughter is 12. She likes audio books. Unfortunately I lack the ability to share age appropriate audio books from my audible account with my daughter through this app. I can add content to her profile through my amazon profile. That content shows up on her FreeTime Unlimited app on our Kindle but it does not show up on the FreeTime Unlimited for iOS. I think that’s an unnecessary difference. If it works for an Android version of the app why can’t it work for an iOS version?
Just books and tv? 2/5
There aren’t any games? Am I missing something?
Overpriced, bad content, bad app 1/5
The selection is really poor - it’s all second rate books and video. Lots of the books have unreadable text- amazon didn’t bother to double check their digitization of these books. The user interface for reading is terrible- you will often turn pages accidentally when trying to zoom. Parents who think this app is good haven’t actually reviewed what it provides.
At $10 a month this is ridiculous. Amazons own video service and kindle unlimited are cheaper than that, offer a higher quality selection and work better.
Please add this 5/5
By i heart pikachu 😁
Please add more of zebra playing cattails and sneak stripes please add this I would love if you do it.
Not for older non readers 2/5
I do foster care and thought this would work for my teens who don’t like to read but could listen to books. Nope. Bummed
I LOVE IT. But one setback 4/5
I love this app and would recommend it to young readers, but it says unlimited, and well, IT’S LIMITED! I say this because when I tried to search for a book, it didn’t show up! I typed the exact title. So, “freetime unlimited” is limited! So please TRUELY have every book.
-A Concerned Reader
I can’t figure out books 2/5
Every book I ask her to read, she says “hmmm I don’t know that one” but it’s listed in the app
Free time 2/5
Can’t type in birthdate for children
That’s enough! 1/5
First, I have to log in in to the app, I had a little problem there so I do it with my wife password and It go well. But, then it said to pay $10! I was very disappointed with these app.
GARBAGE DONT GET 1/5
By HA HA BIG NOOB!
this app is complete trash like where is all those books that I see on the slides above this?!!! Like it set me up for disappointment 🗑 🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑
Really wish I could download apps 3/5
I really wish I could download apps like I can on my android that’s definitely one of the perks of having this app was being able to download apps and let my child play on them so that way she can’t get to the other apps that I have on the iPad but unfortunately it’s not able to on iPad hopefully they can fix this if that was fixed and I would definitely rate this a five star but because of that it makes this kind of uninteresting to my child because she has certain apps that she likes to be able to use and If I have to pay I would like to have that option so that’s why I’m giving it a three star rating
Cannot access games on App 2/5
The amount of content is overwhelming and I cannot access any games on the App only on my child’s fire. I turned off all parental settings but books and movies are the only things showing on the FreeTime App.
Age limit 5/5
By Muffy L
The age limit we can,t get anime I’m not saying It’s bad but naruto Hunter xhunter we cannot watch I’m just saying put the age limit to 14+ but it a good app but naruto and parasite is my son’s favorite .
Horrible experience 1/5
Horrible experience, there is no option to unsubscribe from amazon FreeTime
I love being able to share my some of kindle books with my kids, but I wish I could also share my some of my audio books too. Please add this functionality. Also really wish we had the ability to hide videos and apps so kids could just see books and audio books. Please give some control to parents. Would also be great if we could find book suggestions on the app and add them to a list for our kids. Really would love a parent dashboard app that makes adding content easier. This is very difficult right now. You need to scroll thru each book, which is not in any sort of order. I’d like to be able to search content and then add it to my kids accounts. I hoping amazon improves the device content management in general. Thank you.
Unable to select annual subscription 1/5
By Newbie in CA
Deceptive advertising! Amazon website states that annual subscription is available, but the only option available is monthly.
Hard to read & videos will not play 2/5
App is great except for one thing. Reading the books is really hard as they are so zoom out it is hard to read the words. I wish there was a way to zoom in on the books or at least make the books larger to begin with.
Update: the videos have stopped playing. When I tried to contact Amazon on the error/issue, they didn’t seem to understand how an iPad is setup and could not help me.
The app keeps getting stuck on the sign up page to continue where my child enters her Apple ID. I have deleted and reinstalled. This should be an easy install and it’s now taken an hour. And it still doesn’t work.
no good 1/5
Perfect when kids are out of school 5/5
By Sophia and bunnies forever
My 10 years old find lots of her favorite authors here, lots of fun books.
Lots. Of content dodo quality 3/5
I hoped for much better. Just dodo content. Nothing exceptional.
Love it! 5/5
By dutch warmblood horses.
Can you delete books you read and book mark more than one page? Please add this!
App could be a lot better 2/5
The app has so much content. As parent I ONLY ALLOW my kid to watch educational shows. This app does not allow to filter what you do not want. Also I do not see option to allow the child to be read too. It would be cool if the kid had the option to read or listen to books to watch a show or get points.
I don’t like it 1/5
There is no way I can see to choose books or videos to make a playlist. So it’s just not interesting when you have to weed though different interests and reading levels every time you open the app.
Needs a lot of work 2/5
App has good titles, but the interface needs a lot of work. Take a page from the Epic! books app.
I can’t zoom in, add books to a collection, set bookmarks, browse by genre, or turn videos off. I was excited about checking this out, but I think I’ll cancel and subscribe to Epic! instead.
OTP never works with FreeTime 1/5
If you use OTP then you will be incredibly frustrated using this app. It is great but when I use this app solely to manage my child’s profile it is basically worthless.
My kid loves this app 5/5
This is a great switch form Roblox 😳🙄
Avoid like plague 1/5
By fjejeehu we hsywgah
Piece of crap app that does not allow you to unsubscribe easily.
Lots and lots of childrens’ books - NOT 1/5
Disappointed in how few titles are available.
Parental controls don’t work; difficult to cancel 1/5
By Please revert app
New to this, but I downloaded it so my son could have access to lots of books to read. We download it and open it, and there are Super Mario Brothers gamer videos. Now our efforts to get him to read have turned into a tantrum.
Updated: I spent a while on the computer setting up parental controls. However, they didn’t take effect on my child’s account on the iPad. So I spent the time to set them up on the iPad. Still not working. I can’t get him to read when there are a bunch of tv shows for him to scroll through before getting to the books. Now I’m trying to cancel the subscription. It’s not intuitive, so I looked up instructions. The options are not available within the menus, as it says they should be. What a waste of my time!!
I cantread the books. It only let's me watch stuff. I hate this, the iPad stays on the loading screen forever and never loads when all I want to do is read a book.
Great Concept if Wrinkles get ironed out 3/5
This app is great for younger kids! Lots of great books and more to choose from. I would like to see a function where the child can favorite things or add some Kindle features like highlighting/note taking/ maybe even emojis to respond to the text with! I also think it’s hard to read books with the fixed orientation and it would be great to zoom in on hard to read print.
If you have prime this is pointless....make prime safe for kids instead of charging us more
