Amazon handmade has been a fantastic platform for online sales of my handmade products! It has helped me grow not only in sales but in the development of my business and business practices.
I started on Etsy in 2012 and added amazon when Handmade launched. Amazon is so much more organized in the seller back end!
My only suggestion would be...
It would be great if we could easily add new listings with the seller app. As a one person crew most of the year I often add new listings when I finally sit down in a comfortable spot for the night with just my phone and I can easily do that in the Etsy Seller app but not in the Amazon app. The result of which is my new items get listed on Etsy right away and they go on a long “when I have time” list to add them to amazon. Right now I have over 700 listings on Etsy and approximately 400 in Amazon because of this.
Actually listing an item on Amazon is SO much better. The Number and types of customizations allows me to get everything I need for personalized items at point of sale! The number of photos allowed is better, the seller support is better when I’ve needed help.
Very happy seller here! Just wish there was an easier way to get new items listed from the app because I hate the lost sales from so many of my items not getting up on Amazon yet.
App simply doesn’t work 1/5
When I click on different reports, no information is there. None. Some work just fine, others are completely empty. There are no filters in place causing problems. There isn’t a phone number to call for support. I have opened 3 different online support requests, and have received nothing but standard cookie cutter responses, with no actual support, and then they “close” my request. Very disappointed.

Amazon seller app it's getting better and better but still room for improvement.
Amazon needs to exempt or account from the
1) CANCELLATION RATE metrics because we had 4 accidental double orders and customer cancellation request HURTS OUR ACCOUNT HEALTH
2) CHARGEBACKS :one order placed by buyer LANDON HUTCHINS on dec 14th 2018 with a stolen credit card FROM LILLIAN SMITH , and she filed for a chargeback ! I hope we get reimbursed by buyers bank or amazon for the 2x $450 freight charge we spent on this back and forth shipping bc freight was refused by the receiver plus the $700 storage fee ups charged us for holding this freight from dec 21st to January 3rd
3) Amazon Seller Account should release the buyers direct phone number and email address because large items need to be shipped by freight and freight companies need to schedule a delivery by phone or email !!!
4) photo & video message sending should be available by amazon app also

Although limited in functionality for managing keywords, you still can view your sales, alter a photo, and respond to customer emails. Great for maintaining operations until you get to a computer.

I sell through Amazon here in the US and on the European market place. This update is stating I can switch between them both just from the app which is incorrect. I still have to log out and check the other market place which isn’t worth doing from the App. There is no instructions with the update that explained anything either.

It’s a good site, but we the sellers are victims of other sellers who pose as clients to damage other sellers or we are victims of clients that want to try to get products for free, just posting negative reviews. Amazon should do more on its platform to make sure good and honest sellers do not loose their investment.

Every time I go to use this app, it tells me “Unable to Sign In - Something Went Wrong” and “Try Again” and then when I tap that, I’m not sent to any log in prompt, I’m just told that I have no internet connection, which isn’t true, obviously, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to access the seller central amazon website on my phone or write this review.
When I tap on sign out, I’m taken to a page asking me which country I’m in, so I tap US, and I am given the same error message, without even taken to where I can enter my username and password.
My recommendation to you is sign up to the seller account online. For some apparent reason, this app doesn’t allow the option of choosing the individual part which is free vs the paid part. Prior to me accepting I read a bunch of issues that popped up and they stated that you can choose the option. Well when I accepted my experience went from bad to worst. Long story short I am still waiting for my account to be refunded 8 business days later. And get this customer service sent me an email 8 business days ago stating that the refund was being processed. On the six business day I contacted their C- customer service and was told that it was ready to be initiated on the 12th and that this can take 3 to 5 business days..... Tactics are at best deceptive. I have had MLM companies refund my funds back quickly. Yet here I am still waiting.... What a reflection on the majority holder of amazon. You have been forewarned.

The app requires you to request approval on categories which you are already approved for.
Adding products for FBA does not function well, once you add the products, you will see them as FBM on your desktop version.

Hard to understand instructions. Help is little to none. Hard time sett up then disabled by AmazonSeller within minutes. Trying to reactivate. Finding help impossible. No reply to 5 or more attempts to resolve issue

Very complicated process to comprehend! There must be a better way to provide information & for new Sellers to receive assistance to make Sellers successful! I bet better communication/instructions that are presented straight forward & SIMPLE will reduce the majority of questions on Seller Central forum! Just terrible PR!

Dashboards give me a lot of key metrics quickly. I still use the desktop for some things but the app usually is all I use day to day. I Like watching sales and inventory in real time.

Happy with the overall function and features of the app, but wish it would provide more options for editing inventory and listing offers, such as being able to change an existing listing inventory shipping options and other additional info. Also some messaging issues when attempting to respond to buyers, when click “reply”, type a short message, click send, receive error message stating that response is over 4000 characters, even though our message was only 5 words. This is because in some replies the Amazon app includes internal code or other useless data or previous communication chain, which then counts those as my response characters. In the end we have to make sure to copy/cut our typed response and not send yet, then do “select all” which will then highlight the entire coded email/message below our actual short response, delete/clear all highlighted text, then paste back our response to buyer. This is a pain, as I’m sure you can imagine. However overall, pretty happy with the content and function of the seller app.
