Update: It’s doing it again. When I checked my balance earlier today, my “Total Balance” reflected a credit I received from Amazon over night. There have been no new charges to the account in the last three days. None of those charges are “Pending”. When I just checked my Total Balance, it now shows that the credit from Amazon has not been applied, even though it is showing in the account activity and was included earlier today. This is not only unreliable it’s almost unbelievable. Whoever manages this app should be demoted to a position of thumb twiddling or nose picking, because the app isn’t cutting it and if it’s not, it should be an embarrassment to AMEX. It’s a joke! Come on Apple, give us the option of zero stars. Update: Nothing I said below is incorrect nor has it been corrected by the app developer. Update is to note that yesterday I paid the balance due. For the rest of the day the app showed I had a $0 balance. Then, this morning, it shows that the payment was processed AND my new balance due is the exact amount I paid yesterday, all the while, my bank has debited my account for that amount. Furthermore, a couple of “pending” charges yesterday have been processed and should be in the balance due, but are not. Why, AMEX, can you not get the app to do simple addition and subtraction and remain consistent in doing so? Overall the app is helpful but rather unreliable. The “Total Balance” figure is all over the board in terms of accuracy. In the last 24 hours it has shown a number that was low, by the amount of one of the “PAY IT” charges (that is, not still “PENDING”). Then it later shows the correct balance. I paid off the “Total Balance” through the app and it showed $0.00 due. Then 24 hours later, when my bank has debited my checking account for that payment, the AMEX balance is back to the total I just paid the day before. The bank says I’ve paid and the money as it is no longer in my account, so this is not a matter of the EFT transaction failing. Do better AMEX!

I dont recomend American Express credit cards i have enough credit available to cover small purchases but some how i get Future Transactions May Be Declined email.This is a way of them harrasing me.Other credit cards that i have dont do this.

Under the Offers tab, in Added to Card button, it would be nice to e some sort of filter that separates the added offers into different categories like Food, Travels, Luxury, Entertainment, etc. Other than that, the app has a good user-friendly interface.

Sad that when my salary was cut by 20% and never missed a payment or even late you chose to cut my credit limit. Do not raise my credit limit back to where it was!!!

Like I had no business having an AMEX Card. I was embarrassed and humiliated. Matt was very Racist towards me. Owning and American Expess cars doesn’t mean anything when your African American. Horrible service.

Allowed a merchant to double charge 1/5
Amex allows merchants to double charge two customers where only one gets the product or service - yet both are charged. This literally happened to me today’s date and had to go to mobile web because app couldn’t tell me. Don’t use Amex in your business, don’t take Amex cards.

Advertising on my Statement?! 2/5
The application functions fine but they’ve added advertising INSIDE of my statement. As though companies like AMEX don’t clear enough revenue every year.
For the love of capitalism, can you please remove the Panera bread and FedEx adverts from my statement feed?! It’s ridiculous that I can check my payment & spend history without getting solicitations.
I spend over $300,000 on AMEX cards each year. Have some client loyalty and customer decency.

Chat feature is glitchy. It tells me to choose a transaction I need to report, but every time I try to click on something, the app closes the transaction page and goes back to the chat log without allowing me to choose something.

I was told I have a gold card. The card is a rose gold color. And I don’t get a free check bag with delta. That was the main reason I got and American Express card. The app is hard to understand. Not straight forward on when I pay.
