Dr. Paproscki -Adult Medicine 5/5
She was awesome!!! Patient, great tone and bedside manner and she was able to help me.
Would highly recommend.
49 dollars for a provider to act like they can help and then explain why they cannot
My visit was prompt and my Dr. was wonderful.
Crashes every time for me 1/5
I’ve tried over and over and the app crashes whenever I go through the process of setting up a virtual visit.
Excellent service 5/5
Truly appreciated the service. The doctor was quick with his diagnosis and was able to send a prescription to my pharmacy. I would highly recommend this app and service.
The visit took about 10 minutes for my sinusitis diagnosis. Prescription is already sent to my pharmacy so I can pick it up on my way home from work. We finally are in the 21st century. Thank you Amwell for an awesome service. And thanks doc for caring so much.
Convenience and Superb-Quality-Care 5/5
Today was the fourth time I have utilized Amwell. The physicians are top-notch, well-educated, and have amazing bedside-manner. No doubt, I recommend Amwell for children and adults, alike.
App crashes 1/5
The app crashes randomly while connected to WiFi and while connected through LTE.
First Time!!! 5/5
This was my first time and not my last. Awesome experience!!! I am suffering with a UTI and the last thing I want to do is sit in a waiting room for an hour. I will definitely recommend Amwell.
Best app ever 5/5
Amwell is the most convenient app ever! It allows you to chat with different types of doctors depending on what you’re looking for, all from the privacy of your home! 10/10 recommend!
Incredible Service & Technology. 5/5

Thank you Dr. Myer for saving me a trip to the ER and a $200 bill!
Does not listen to patient, Wasted money! 1/5
By Ash pfly
First time to try this service. Paid the $49 to see the provider. Told the provider my son typically has these atypical symptoms with strep-sore throat, cough, and congestion. Was told he could not prescribe antibiotics due to did not have fever, swollen glands, and was afebrile. Also, he had cough and “that was not consistent with strep.” Tried to tell him that he had fever in the morning by touch but did not have a thermometer at the time to take the temp, but i was not heard. I had been giving him antipyretics throughout the day. Was told was most likely viral and to continue with antipyretics as needed.
Son’s fever returned and ended up having to take him to an urgent care this evening where (surprise, surprise) he tested + for strep.
I feel like I was not heard. I understand being a steward of antibiotic use, but he has a strong history of this in the past (with one episode just 1 month ago) with the SAME EXACT symptoms.
I am an RN. I have been a nurse for 11 years- all ER experience. I do not believe in giving antibiotics for every little sniffle. However, I do strongly believe in listening to the patient.
Personally, I will not use this service in the future. I only tried it because I did not want to drive the 30 minutes to the doctor with a sick child and did not know this criteria would be required to receive the antibiotics I was trying to get him. I understand they cannot test via telemedicine but I would think a strong history of similar illness would suffice.
I would NOT recommend this service.
Am well Dr visit 5/5
EXCELLENT first experience. The staff was super helpful to get me connected to a Dr right away. The Dr was attentive and made sure to treat my symptoms thoroughly. Plus it was only $5.00 👍🏻Now I don’t have to wait for my Dr appt tomorrow to get started on an antibiotic.
Beware: Notifications go to your text 2/5
I wish the devs thought to put screen notifications as many people don’t always check their text. I see my notifications when my phone light up but I don’t always receive text messages until hours later and missed my appointment yesterday.
Phone alerts would be much better than text alerts or even an automated reminder call.
I’m giving two stars based on that. After I meet with my appointment then I’ll can rate the system.
Amwell comes through yet again! 5/5
Extremely easy, quick, and no fuss appointment with Dr. Kealy. I didn’t have to wait or leave my house!
My daughter spiked a 104 fever with only a sore throat after doctors hours. I used this app instead of waiting until the next morning to see her pediatrician because she was so uncomfortable. The doctor we saw was very patient with my crying 5 year old. Had me look down her throat with my phone and gave me options and her recommendation. Had an antibiotic filled at my pharmacy 20 minutes after hanging up. Would use again.
Easy and helpful every time! 5/5
So convenient and the doctors are always friendly and helpful.
Would Give Zero Stars 1/5
I chose a specific doctor to see online. They changed me to another doctor who was horrible. She wouldn’t listen when I said I didn’t feel and didn’t want to get worse. I called to complain about the service and they didn’t care. Would give them 0 stars.
Excelente!!! El mejor servicio y valor por mi tiempo y sobre todo, mi salud!
Rushed as fast as possible 1/5
By CC Cathy
I love the concept but he couldn’t get me off the phone fast enough. $65 for maybe 5 minutes, I did get the prescription I needed.
Better than doctor on demand 5/5
Fast and easy! Happy that I set this up. I rarely become ill and this is convenient when not wanted to spend a million due to the High Deductible Health Plan. I recommend!!!
Pretty much paid 50 dollars to be told “go see a real doctor”
Welcome to the 21st century! 5/5
This is a great solution for those minor annoyances. A quick call and no sitting in a waiting room. I am a cancer patient and I don’t need to be exposed to any more germs! Dr was efficient, wait time acceptable, connection worked well. I will use as needed in the future.
Amazing app when you’ve had a history of minor infections 5/5
I have had a history of some minor but very pesky infections, and they often involve spending hours at the emergency room to see someone since it’s rare in New York to be able to see my doctor on short notice. For yeast infections and urinary tract infections, strep throat and more, I love being able to hop online and be seen by a doctor without it completely derailing my day! Great app!
Love the convenience 5/5
The last thing you want to do when you’re sick is get dressed and go to the doctor. This app allows you to get well in the comfort of your own home.
Perfect for allergy, cold, flu and simple heath needs. Don’t expect a warm and fuzzy conversation or use this when you really don’t know what’s wrong.
Used twice now and really found it easy, convenient and professional.
Bad Dr 1/5
Dr Grant Hammons is a really bad dr. Put me down with really horrible bedside manor. I will NEVER use this service again. It shows what kind of company this is by the people they hire. You will see what I mean if you use dr Grant Hammons.
1 no show, 2 cancellations, unacceptable 1/5
Let’s pretend you’re in need of professional help but can’t get to see a same day doctor. That’s my situation, no thanks to this lousy experience trying to secure an appointment on AmWell. The app earns 3 strikes. I deducted 3 stars, assuming everything would have gone excellent had it worked. AmWell offers no explanation or specifics to me on why the 2cancellations or 1 no show. They just give a customer service number to reschedule. Perhaps it was unfortunate timing and luck but that shouldn’t matter. When AmWell offers a professional patient care service, three chances is enough to judge it by.
My first doctor wasn’t online (or didn’t pay attention) and I waited 30 minutes before logging off with no consult. The next appointment cancelled the morning of, which at least allowed me time to find another slot for the same day. 10 mins before my third appointment I received a cancellation alert.
This is akin to a Skype consultation and I can guess it would be ideal you need a care ASAP. Don’t get your hopes up, though. Any patient would get discouraged after three failed attempts to get help. Not a good start!
Fran the grandma 5/5
By Fran the grandma
I love my experience with the online Doctor. This web sight is great. When just don’t want to have to go in to Doctors office or can’t make it. Amwell is the best way to see the Doctor.
Setup is a nightmare. Not what you need when sick. 1/5
Three times I went through the set up process, each time the app stalling at a different point. Sometimes it was sending my health information. Sometimes it wouldn’t even get that far. Each restart was from the beginning. It didn’t remember any of my information from the time before.
On your iPhone? Don’t even think about using Apple Pay. Instead, go find your credit card and manually type in all that information.
Check with your healthcare provider to see if you have other options. For something claiming to be the “convenience” method of healthcare, it sure is frustrating.
Didn’t have to leave work ! 5/5
I have been sick for almost a month now. I Visited urgent care a week and a half ago and received a Z pack which had no impact on my sinus and ear infection. Being able to talk to and see a provider on my smart phone allowed me to get the help I needed and not miss more work. I’m very pleased.
So convenient & easy to use 5/5
I got sick in the middle of the night and Amwell saved me. I was able to log on, have a visit AND get a prescription within a HALF AN HOUR! Thank you Amwell for creating such a useful service
Great for minor things !! 5/5
I had a lingering cough for 3 weeks and my primary dr couldn’t see me for a week! I came across this app, scheduled an appt the same day and the dr wrote me a prescription for antibiotics and I was able to pick it up an hour later from my local pharmacy. It was so simple, I’m definitely a fan.
The idea is great, but they have some kinks to work out. 2/5
Cheap and fast internet health is a break through. However this isn’t the only option. Next time a doctor is no longer available for services, the patient should be notified. Instead I found out when I couldn’t get a refill of antidepressants, being forced to come off without tapering. Amwells customer service has no plan for that scenario, or their service department isn’t aware of it. While I noticed this isn’t particularly an ‘at fault’ issue. They were not able to help in something serious that had their name on it. Please fix this kink so no one else has to feel like admitting themselves to the hospital because communication wasn’t established and protocol wasn’t in place. Thanks.
Doctor rushed / changed mind 2/5
By Emile C
I had a short call with doctor. Seemed rushed, I initially didn't mind and gave a 5 star review but then I saw case notes. On the phone he told me I could wait 24h to see if symptoms got worse, then sent case notes 5m later saying that he advised the patient to seek immediate attention and I refused. Not sure whether to trust the notes or his words so I just blew $70 since that was the point of the whole call.
It’s so easy and convenient 5/5
Been using the app for a month now. Love it! Great doctors and very convenient. It’s a life and time saver!
Sore throat 5/5
By Oriental flame
I had a fever and sore throat on the weekend. I needed to have some medicine. This service was a lifesaver!
By Parrothead Jeff
Quick, easy, and VERY AFFORDABLE!!!
Way Better Than Office Visits 5/5
I’d much rather do this than load us all up in the family vehicle and make a whole trip out of it.
The whole thing is handled quickly and painless.
Plus my insurance covers it all!
So easy and convenient 5/5
I’m so glad we found the virtual doctor visit app, which is covered by our insurance. We needed a doctors note for our child, and this is the perfect tool for that if you’re child isn’t so ill that they need their lungs listened to.
We spoke with a very competent doctor who asked many relevant questions, and helped us understand the viral illness profession.
Def will use this service again.
Great service! 5/5
By Tom Willett
Good & Fast service. The physician was kind, polite, & attentive!
I had a severe running nose to the point where I couldn’t travel without a box or roll of tissue! Thanks rob Dr. Fawn my symptoms started to get better the same day!! I will definitely be back!
Convenient but... 4/5
I was away from home and miserable with a cold that had gone into my ears. I knew that if I went to urgent care the visit would be $100 and they’d just tell me to wait it out because it wasn’t infected yet. As I thought the Dr. I spoke with here said just that and didn’t prescribe an anti biotic. but was able to call in a steroid and only cost me $40 for the visit. My own Doc. Costs me $150 a visit so I don’t even go there. I rated this app a 4 because there are 2 things I don’t like. One the dr had a slight accent that was a tiny bit hard to understand and two I wish they checked back in 3 days to see if symptoms have lessened or there was a way to ask the dr. A question that I missed when I was on the phone with her. Otherwise is has been a good option for my budget.
Waisted my time and money 1/5
Just a big waste of time and money when what you really need to do or what they’re going to tell you to do go to another doctor I walking clinic or something now I’m out $56 and I still don’t have the anabiotic’s I need
Very Impressed! 5/5
Just used Amwell for the 1st time (had never even heard of it until I was checking my insurance benefits online & saw that I only have a $15 copay for telemedicine & was connected to Amwell)...great experience! Easy to get started, cheap, & Dr. Emily Clagg was very nice & helpful! I had cold symptoms for almost 2 weeks recently & was clearing up, but started having a pretty rough, intermittent, chesty cough a few days ago. My doctor didn’t have any openings & they don’t take walk-ins, so I decided to give this a try versus paying $75 for an urgent care visit. Dr. Clagg had me give her a deep cough, & she immediately said she was leaning toward bronchitis (which I’d suspected), & sent Rx’s for a steroid, Mucinex, & antibiotics if I develop a fever to the pharmacy of my choice. I will DEFINITELY use Amwell again!
Excellent Care Alternative 5/5
I have had a severe sinus infection for 10 days and has been progressively worse. I got up today and was coughing so I knew I had to go in. I got up and looked out the window and... it had snowed 5 inches! Feeling miserable and not wanting to shovel, I tried Amwell. The intake process was super easy, the physician was extremely polite, helpful and knowledgeable and the entire visit from registration to completion was less than 20 minutes. I still have to go pick up my prescription, but there’s less of a pressure on that. Had I not gotten into my PCP (I suspect I would not have), it would have taken me about 40 minutes to do my front steps and walk and clean off my truck, 20 minutes to drive to an urgent care and who knows how long in the waiting room with all the other sick people!
As a paramedic, we are constantly trying to bridge the gap between the lack of access to health care to reasonable options that doesn’t require an expensive ambulance and emergency room visit for minor ailments or injuries. I would definitely recommend this service to my patients who are looking for an alternative.
Efficient for Non Emergent Care 5/5
I have had sinus issues for about a week and the online Care did a thorough and efficient job of diagnosing and developing a care plan. So nice to not go to an Urgent care and get exposed to more.
Worth writing a review 5/5
This app was provided through my employer. As a medical professional, I found the physicians very knowledgeable and practical. Visits took less than 5 minutes and were able to be completed from the comfort of my living room. Prescriptions are sent via e-script and my pharmacy had no problems. A real technological asset.
Too much 1/5
They wanted way too much information was not even relevant my migraines. And all I wanna do is keep track of them I don’t wanna record every little detail which isn’t going to help me at all. I just want a record.
Do it! 5/5
My coworker told me about Amwell. It literally took all of 15 mins to get the app, load it with my insurance and payment and pharmacy details AND speak with the doctor. She asked all the same questions your doctor would face to face and understood what I was feeling. I didn’t have to sit in a germy waiting room. The cost was amazing and I got the help I needed. For non emergent visits such as colds or fevers this will always be my go-to moving forward.
Just what I needed 5/5
By Kellie Nuss
I am happy my insurance, United Health Care pointed me to this service. The app worked great, the service provider, Dr. Wallace, was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. In the wee hours of the morning, it was just what I needed.
