  • Love this app! 5/5

    By Ilthe44
This app has made my life so much easier. Now I don’t have lists on scraps of paper all over the house (which I forget to take when I go shopping). The app is beautifully organized and incredibly easy to use. I can create and use lists any way I want. And the developers are always on call with an immediate response to any question.
  • Absolutely the best 5/5

    By BaboByte
The best app for any list, but most awesome for recipes! Easy share! I never rate but this one is worth it!
  • Best list app!! 5/5

    Awesome app love it!!!
  • Best option for shopping & to-do lists 5/5

    By Magpie444444444
Was looking to get a real app to handle grocery shopping and other lists instead of using notes. This app has the best features included on the free tier (I tried out 4), is very easy to use, and doesn’t freeze up. The auto-fill suggestions are extensive, you can favorite items that get added frequently, and you can upload recipes from other sites/apps and then add items to your grocery list from the recipes. It has everything I could think of for an app like this. And if you decide to upgrade, they don’t automatically renew the subscription which I really appreciate for this type of app.
  • Love AnyList 5/5

I don’t know how we got along without AnyList before. Keeps the whole family organized. Easy to use. Nice app
  • Good for lists, horrible for categories 2/5

    By LuckysClub
AnyList has never done categories right. They had one original system that was lousy. Then they replaced it with a new system. The new system lost all the info from the old system, but it is an equally horrible system — or worse. How to make categories worthwhile is totally inscrutable. There is nothing natural about the way AnyList approaches categories. I have no idea what the developers are thinking. I am a subscriber, as is everyone in my extended family. In AnyList we love shared lists, but we all hate categories. You need to be OK without them to use AnyList. If categories are important to you, look elsewhere.
  • Best and most comprehensive 5/5

    By Reader4900
8/5 stars !! This is the best and most comprehensive list app I know of. I’ve been using it for years now and every year it only gets better! I love using this for everything. I made a list for items I need for airplane travel, camping, day trips, places to go hiking or to one day travel to, family birthdays, things to do, ... it’s endless what lists you can make and how helpful they can be. This is way more than a grocery list, meal planning app. I don’t know what I’d do without it!!!
  • Best app! 5/5

    By scubapam26
I never write reviews but wanted to for this app because it is the most helpful app for tracking our families’ grocery list. Well worth the annual fee. With two teenage daughters and the ability to share it grocery shopping has never been easier. My husband and I even tested out the quickness of adding and deleting items from the list. It was instantaneous! And my absolute favorite part of the app is adding recipes. We can track favorite recipes and add the ingredients right to the grocery list all at once or one at a time if we don’t need all the ingredients. I love how it’s organized and the ease of use. We have a spa and wanted to just share that list between my husband and myself since our teens don’t care about that and you can share different lists with different users instead of everything being shared with all users added to the app. I’ve looked high and low for a good app to be shared with our family and this is the best I’ve found. I would highly recommend it!
  • Excellent App 5/5

So easy to use. Everything is all in one place—recipes, meal plan, grocery list, etc. It has streamlined everything involved in meal planning for my large family. I wish I had started using the subscription version earlier. It is well worth the money.
  • Not just for grocery lists 5/5

    By Agh111
This can be for anything. I shared the list with my fiancé for what he needs to do before our wedding, with separate categories according to timeline. I love that we can both edit it and it is immediately updated on both our phones. This is a relationship saver. 100% I recommend this app and the paid version. Integrates with Alexa very well

  • Fully Featured, Super Affordable 5/5

    By Dylanthomas11291
From the watch app to the iPhone to the desktop, this is the most fully developed grocery list app on the App Store. I particularly like the fact that I can arrange the food categories to match the layout of my local grocery store, how items that I add automatically sort themselves into the correct category, that I can create starter lists that make it easy to meal prep, that I can import recipes from the internet that then populate my ingredient list, and finally that I’m able to speak items into my watch and have them show up into the correct category on my list. Honestly this app is probably one of the best values on the App Store, even though it may not be the flashiest.
  • Love, love, love 5/5

    By jhs430
This app is a blessing for a busy person. I add items as I think of them and my hubby gets same info on his phone so whoever is out shopping, no need for paper list as it is always with you on phone and up to date. One of my favorite and most used apps.
  • Best App Ever! 5/5

    By Laura Babb
I love AnyList!! It saves so much time when meal planning because all my recipes are easily accessible and adding needed recipe ingredients to my shopping list is only a click away. The app allows you to change the proportions of the recipe and shop accordingly. Sometimes I use the app while shopping but mostly I print the shopping list. Also, when someone wants one of my recipes, I can share it with them on the spot from my phone. I use the app on my phone, my laptop and desktop. I like to use the desktop in the kitchen because the screen is better and easier to see when I am following a recipe. Money well spent!!
  • The best list program I’ve ever found 5/5

    By cwp101
One of the easiest to use and most versatile list programs I’ve seen or used. List sharing is really nice. Makes our grocery shopping better organized, especially sine I do all the shopping due to COVID-19. Well worth the purchase.

  • Wish I could give more stars!! 5/5

    By DaleSF
OK.. I’m not normally very organized... but.. since I started using this app... it has seriously changed this part of my life.. the part where I make lists anyway... :-) Making lists is now super easy and the recipe import option is life changing. Then you look for a recipe you want to make... check off the items you will need to buy for the recipe and bam.. it’s on your shopping list. Synchronize across my iPad, iPhone and now the Mac app... and lets not forget also the web interface.. just in case the other devices aren’t near by! Then I integrated my Google assistant and Alexa to add things to my list... I love this app... One thing I’ve asked for is barcode scanning... they replied quickly that it is something on their list.. but they want to make sure it’s done right... Totally cool with that.
  • Terrific 5/5

    By lindy130
Love this app. I like that we can have it on a few devices and they all are the same.
  • Love the app 4/5

    By B_Runk
As stated in my title, I LOVE this app. The ability to store all the cool recipes you see online but either bookmark and forget or think you’ll remember and you don’t, categorize all the recipes to make them easier to find, and being able to add all or a select number of ingredients to a shopping list? Amazing. Perhaps life changing. So why not 5 stars, you may be asking. It bouls down to one super irritating thing: crossing things off the shopping list. You swipe your finger across the item, which does one of three things: backs you out of the list to the menu screen, meaning you have to go back to your list and scroll to find the thing you were trying to cross off; tries to move the item out of its category to a new one; or finally just scrolls you up or down the list. On average it probably takes me anywhere from 3 to 10+ swipes to get the item crossed off. While you’re blocking aisles with your cart, trying to knock things off a list, this is stressful and extremely frustrating. If, unlike me, you don’t mind blocking aisle access or not crossing items off a list, then you’ll be a-ok, and I envy you.
  • Love this app 4/5

    By Katie Bagles
Love that I can put in my own recipes! Love that it makes lists off those recipes!! I have been using this app for several years and tell everyone it is worth the price. The only thing I’d love to see is the ability to star or tag favorites.
  • Very helpful for our family! 5/5

    By Bullish!!
We are loving the AnyList app! I use it for our family grocery list, our honey do list, and really any other lists we are working on. I love that it works with Siri. Thanks Any List!
  • NOW! I am organized 5/5

    By Toon in Tulsa
I am the poster child for Attention Deficit Disorder, lol! This app has single handedly has helped me to organize my grocery/life/errands/to do/ goals and priorities list. It ALWAYS works, and having my list digitally as opposed to being scattered has transformed my life from chaos to order. Thank you ANY LIST!
  • Best grocery list/menu planner ever! 5/5

    By JJ's IPhone 7
Outstanding recipe database with an amazingly easy import feature. Import recipes from any website. Then plan your menu for the week and add your recipe ingredients to your grocery list. Customize your list categories and order them based on the layout of your store. You can even have custom categories and layouts for different stores! Outstanding!
  • Best Productivity App ever! 5/5

    By Shyneart.
This app is great for organizing your home, office or business! It’s great for busy families to keep up with household chores and meal planning! Th fact that you can get recipes from the internet and use them in your meal plan is great. You can even use recipes in your meal plan to make your grocery list! It does everything except go to the store! The only feature y’all should add is maybe being app to order the groceries online and have them delivered. Otherwise it’s a great app!
  • Poor 1/5

    By gggggghggjhfjvff
I don’t know what is the difference after paying Siri asks me to must unlock the phone which is pointless.
  • Doesn’t support Sign In with Apple 1/5

    By redshirt8188
Doesn’t support Sign In with Apple
  • Sign in with apple 1/5

    By Null--
They want to get high and mighty about a feature that would help users and make a list of excuses why they wont do it, instead of just adding the feature. Thats fine, but if they arent adding a sign in with apple im moving onto an app that will.
  • Great, but one major flaw 4/5

    By Jkja38
The names of the collections aren’t automatically put in alphabetical order. That doesn’t make any sense to me. I could move them all around which would take forever.
  • TOTALLY GET IT 5/5

    By Napoleon Josephine
I bought this app and it is a great way to keep you organized! I needed to find an app to help me keep my groceries organized instead of writing it one paper. I think that this app could really help you too! Please give it a try!
  • Everything I needed! 5/5

    By J McWilliams
I am always thinking of new things I need from various stores. This app allows me to bring my house duties and thoughts for the week together collectively from meal planning and recipes to grocery list for each store that I need to visit on a weekly basis. This app trielt brought my process together for a smoother and less time consuming weekly haul! ❤️🤘🏼
  • Smart app 5/5

    By Pepsico_15
I have tried so many of these apps including those that get all these top reviews from news media until this one. Very well thought of app, the intent is clear and the design follows. Everything work the way it should, what’s tapped just disappears, as well on the Apple Watch, adding ingredients from recipes very nicely implemented, linking items to store with the choice to filter by store... Very well done... keep on!
  • I use it all the time! 4/5

    By AO_art
Great, reliable list app! ...even with all the limitations with the free version. I ended up using this all the time. LOVE the share feature. Makes shopping with a partner twice as fast when we both get instant updates on what’s been bought already. Almost interested to purchase the app to unlock the meal planning feature but it’s a continuous payment, subscription-based thing and that’s no good. 😢 Please offer a one-time purchase like most apps and I’ll buy asap!!!
  • Tried them all, AnyList is simply the best 5/5

    By Sambovermont
Our family lives off this app. Simple to use. Works via Siri (and CarPlay), Great WatchOS app. We love the ability to customize categories for each store, allows us to map out each store as one would shop. The only thing this app needs is some sort of wireless handwriting recognizing device where one could make a grocery list and it would dump to the app.
  • Why not five stars 4/5

    By Lionsun
Transferring items from list to list is quirky at best.
  • Sooo helpful for easy planning 5/5

    By jules716
Love this app for meal planning and making grocery lists. Super excited for the new update that lets you drag and drop meals to different days. This was a bit tedious before when plans changed and I needed to rearrange. Now it’s a breeze to move things around!
  • Great App! 5/5

    By Debbee1062
I LOVE everything about this app from adding items to my lists with Alexa to the recipe section to sharing lists with my family. Super EASY to import recipes, create meal plans and then quickly/automatically add items I need to my grocery list. It's so much nicer to store my recipes on this app instead of pinning them in Pinterest and then trying to remember where I put them later. The full version is well worth the price!
  • Lacking basics we knew about in the 90’s 3/5

    By The Askani Walrus
When you make a list it doesn’t know to ignore words like THE and A and take the second word and list it alphabetically for that primary word, it’s a simple thing that they can fix easily in the next update then the app would be almost perfect.
  • Awesome Grocery Shopping App PLUS PLUS PLUS 5/5

    By Dri227
Best Grocery App I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a bunch. PLUS a ton of built in grocery items with categories. Especially nice is ability to assign one or more stores which allows you to filter the list by store. Finally, it allows you to sort the categories in several ways. I have manually ordered the categories to match up with the stores sections and aisles. PLUS easy ability to create other shopping lists, checklists, and information all with an ability to organize into folders and customize with categories. PLUS a meal planner and an ability to create collections of recipes. (The meal planning and recipe functions are not as robust and elegant as stand alone meal planner apps.)
  • Love it 5/5

    By csdphl1
So easy to use. No more bookmarking recipes, writing down ingredients or shopping lists.
  • Makes planning & shopping SO much easier 5/5

    By clc_07
I particularly love how easy it is to import recipes (or create them manually). I then can pop recipes into the calendar, quickly look through the pantry, mark the ingredients that I need, and they automatically populate my grocery list. The ability to sort categories based on the layouts of different stores is also a fantastic feature. If a store doesn’t have something on my list, I just change the store & the remaining items now appear in the order they’re found in the new store. This has been especially helpful with the varying degrees of inventory available at different stores! It also saves time, since the list is in the correct order for each store. Well worth $10/year to get these features!
  • This app rules 5/5

    By MarkRHuffer
I used this app to replace Wunderlist. I didn’t think I’d be a fan. This app, however, rules. I LOVE the recipe import feature. That alone makes a subscription worth it. Plus the app works well, seems stable, syncs perfectly and is intuitive. Really well done.
  • My favorite app 5/5

    By WolfgangMontgomery
Yes, it organizes lists. Yes it syncs to the entire family. Yes, it’s easy to use. But as a former chef where I love it is for recipes and menu planning which it translates at the touch of a button into shopping lists including scaling menus up or down by servings. Gotta a party of 20 or 2? No problem. Click. Done. Awesome. But mostly I like how handy it is for any list: groceries, hardware, booze, garden supplies, whatever.
  • Love this app, have used it for years! 5/5

Makes dividing and conquering trips to the grocery store a breeze!
