Useless if you use a property manager 1/5
I have a property manager that uses appfolio for my properties. They give me a specific login link and this app is useless if you do the same.
Also I there is no way too open the owner packets that are sent monthly is you use an i phone
We just started using AppFolio and I am in love with just about every aspect of the app and the service itself. One MAJOR issue is not receiving any kind of push notifications. When a tenant submits a maintenance request or sends a message we should be able to be notified.
I’m a landlord with 50 rental units. Looking for new software.Spent forever just trying to enter the app and can’t even access it. I’m not very tech savvy but I wonder how much business they lose because you can’t even open the app without an existing account there’s nowhere to create a new account.

I downloaded the app and successfully logged in only to be met with the ‘cannot reach the internet’ screen. I triple checked my connection on Wifi and cellular data and the app still wouldn’t connect to the internet. I have an iPhone 7 with iOS 13.5.1. Please fix this!

Need to be able to refresh page. If I am texting with someone I have to re open the page or close the app to get text to appear. Need a refresh option by the navigation buttons

It is so convenient to have the entire property management system wherever you go. No need to wait to get a quick report when you get back to the office. Everything is on the app. Thank you AppFolio for making this happen
Great App and Program 5/5
Started with Yardi, went to TOPS, and now I’ve been with Appfolio. With all new things the first few months there’s a learning curve, but now after a year I can say great app, great program for Association Management and on top of it all my Board Members love it!! That’s for all you guys do in tech support and beyond!!

Inspection update 3/5
The new update that changed the look and performance of inspections is a joke! Besides it freezing constantly, it takes twice as long now to upload inspection pictures. They are zoomed in more and uploaded backwards. I wish they would have left the previous version of it alone!

App Still Does Not Work 1/5
I got this app a year ago.
It would not take my password. I wrote to the makers. They said they’d get back to me. Never heard from them again. I deleted the app and downloaded it again. Now it says the database does not exist. I’m looking at the name of the database on my computer right now and it’s the same as in my app. Just as my password was the same. Crappy app. Awful customer service.
Print doesn’t really mean print?? 4/5
Why no options when viewing PDF version of a report, work order or tenant ledger? If I use the Print button, it pulls up the PDF but there is absolutely no options to do anything. I have to go onto the browser and login and rerun the report to get options of sharing/saving/printing. Another option is use the Email function and then email to myself so I can print or save. This seems very counterproductive. Why have a print button if you can’t really print?? Overall the rest of the app is very usable and I utilize often for quick reference. However, I would like to see an update fixing this glitch that has been ignored for years. Thanks
Please fix photo upload in inspections. App crashes every time. And when I try to upload bulk photos via the internet on my phone or pc, the photos are randomized in order. PLEASE FIX ASAP! I cannot get inspections to our owners of the app does not cooperate.
It is beyond frustrating that he app refuses to notify me when a work order is assigned to me. It comes via email and I have to log into appfolio from there either on the browser or through the app. As a maintenance tech, I find it ridiculous that I have the app, but it can’t notify me.

I’m an on-site property manager, and this app allows me to be just as functional out in the field as I am if I’m sitting at my desk in front of my computer. I can communicate with tenants, vendors, respond to maintenance requests, schedule vendors. Combine this app with google talk, and you have your entire office functions contained in your iPhone. It’s really good for mobility.
App was fixed. Uploading inspections is now easier.

Terrible customer service.
Use other softwares such as buildium which is way better!
If this app can’t be used by property owners (e.g. other people who have AppFolio logins), you need to make that clear on the sign-in screen as well as on the download page.
But instead of just making those text updates and calling it a day, I’d suggest your roadmap include expansion of account types able to use the app. Being customer-first means understanding and building experiences for an entire ecosystem, not just one part of it.
Addressing the aforementioned gaps will result in an updated review/rating from me.

We use this app for our company and it as powerful as the online site. The beauty is that you don’t have to relearn the system because it’s an app. The transition from desktop to mobile device is as seamless as it gets!

This app doesn’t allow user to add files on a cellphone only in computer no good at all slow updating as well please slow for user to be able to upload a foto only computer does that we in the field are left in the cold!

Text unit feature freezes often, sometimes the box never pops up. Overall the app is good but this is a frustration of mine.
In the app, can't upload pictures to maintenance work orders. Whether in app or desktop version, email notifications for maintenance assignments do not work. Fix these items please.

There are issues with the touch inputs. They do not recognize a touch and the entire screen acts as though it was pressed.

It's a great app until it isn't!! There is no way to contact anyone for help when the app stops working. Despite deleting it and downloading it again the app still does not work! I'm not the most tech savvy person, but shouldn't there be a help button somewhere????
The App won't even open when I needed the most to access an account. Can't restart it, can't log out, nothing... Just a white screen. Useless.

I would rate this much higher if you can get the App to stop crashing. When I try to take a photo in the "inspections" tab it flashes and freezes every time. This has got to work

I gave up using the old application because it was too basic and was having to use the mobile website which signed you out every 2 seconds.
I have only been using the application for a week and it has dramatically improved the ease I access the information I need in the field and on the go.
I've played around with the app and so far so good! I am glad it is interactive just like the desktop. Will make life away from the desk so much easier.
