    I have had the Arlo cameras for years. Since downloading the new app I have had nothing but issues. I am going to buy the ring setup to replace my current Arlo system.

    Not a bad app, however, it would be nice to be able to stop the notifications indefinitely when not needed. Found out how to silence them for 24 hours, but there are times I really don’t need to fill up my email with notifications or to have to listen to the constant chirping when cars drives by.

    The solar connection does not work consistently and it’s the Arlo brand. Other than that highly recommended.

    I’m an early adopter for everything. Been using The new Arlo app with my two first generation Arlo cams. First I noticed the motion detection wasn’t working well. Then one camera stopped detecting motion. Next thing I knew the base unit was missing and no amount of trouble shooting would fix it. Then I had a shower thought. What about the Legacy app? Happy to say that after 46 days I finally have security around my house again. Easy setup and the motion works better than ever. DO NOT RELY ON THE NEW APP! STAY WITH THE LEGACY!

    The cameras are pretty decent for maybe an enclosed area, but they are motion activated and often start recording late, and then stop recording too early. If there is a WiFi problem or your camera can’t connect, it doesn’t work. And the worst part is the non existent customer service. You’ll be directed to a forum of Arlo users who are also having issues and we are expected to help each other figure it out.

    I travel a great deal and have several rental properties. I can check on all of them at all times. That videos go into the Cloud for seven days, if someone damages or steals my camera, I have it all on video. (I have Elite). Netgear is my wireless system at home and it has been indispensable in connecting me to wireless on the road. Love you Arlo!

    We bought our Arlo less than a year ago and none of the chargers that came with the cameras work. I bought two new ones and they both worked once and never again. Now all 4 cameras are dead so they’re worthless.

    Love the security of having arlo watching. Too bad the Q’s are not outdoor cameras. Changing batteries is a problem when ladders are involved.

    Thought the new legacy app might fix problems, all its done is ask me to download Legacy with a pop up window every time I open the app and I already have the app. Honestly... I’m completely disgusted with my entire experience being an arlo system owner. We bought the 6 camera system for $1200, total waste of money. After 9 months all cameras completely fail to record at night over a 12 hour period. I’ve looked at arlo forums and way to many arlo owners are having this same problem. After entirely to much time speaking with terrible customer service over a two day period to get an RMA number (customer service is a call center in India with operators you can’t understand ) we were assured that the base station was causing the problem. New base arrives, I take cameras off the house in 100 degree heat, sync cameras with new base, and reinstall the cameras and the problem is still there. Our neighbors car was stolen out of their driveway at night and our arlo camera on that side of our house catches their entire driveway and recorded absolutely nothing. From 7 pm to 7 am our cameras STILL don’t record. Customer service said if the base station doesn’t fix this issue then we have to mail back one camera at a time and they will replace the cameras. I guess I’ll do that so I have new cameras to sell as we will be selling this completely useless security and buying a hard wired system. My assumption as to why this system doesn’t record at night is that the arlo data has more subscribers than it can handle and nothing’s being done to enlarge the data base? The entire experience of owning an arlo system has been frustrating and upsetting and I will absolutely never purchase a netgear product ever again. I realize this review is for the app and the app seems okay but based on my entire experience I’d give a negative 5 star rating if I could and definitely will never recommend this system to anyone.. Maybe I’ll be able to recoup $5 in a class action lawsuit someday for wasting $1200 on this garbage system.

    There’s a delay in camera detection when movement is detected. The object will have come and gone before I’m alerted someone or something was in view. For instance if I’m coming into my home where one of the cameras is situated, I will have unlocked both my doors and on the inside before I actually receive an alert. I would think the cameras would give an alert as soon as someone/something approaches it.

    We downloaded the new version and it is so buggy and fights with the old version that won’t delete. New app consistently signs me out. Going to buy a new camera system.

    New App update has stopped my communication with my home. When I talk it shuts off speakers in the house to answer me. Then locks up my IPhone. Also it forces me to upload new App every 2 days. Do not recommend any more.

    My Arlo goes off line on a weekly basis. It a hassle to call. You have to wait a significant amount of time and then go through each camera one by one. I wish I’d bought a Ring.

    Keeps telling me I need to update app. I did and when I play along and say update, it takes me to store and just says open.
