Newbie at yoga 5/5
By BJ Shobe
I don’t know all the poses yet so it was difficult for me to follow along and watch to see what he was doing at the same time. But I love to work out
Technical Difficulties 1/5
I purchased the one year subscription of Asana Rebel app. After just a few days of having it, the work outs would stop midway through a session or just not load at all. Very disappointed with my purchase. Especially because I purchased it through my Apple App Store, which does not allow reimbursement.
Can’t login 1/5
I keep trying to set up an account and when it has me login with email, it won’t let me and I checked my password multiple times even reset it and it still won’t let me in. Even tried logging in with my Facebook, same thing happened.
You are ridiculous 1/5
How does one even know if they want to purchase your app with a few fleeting demos. I downloaded this app and the first thing you showed me was NOT routines but pay before I see anything? You are ridiculous. I'll buy another app that lets me see what they are all about in depth BEFORE I pay for anything. Nutty.
Nice supplement, but a caution to beginners 3/5
I downloaded Asana Rebel to supplement my regular practice when I can't make it to the studio. I would definitely recommend that first time yogis go to a studio with real instruction. The sequencing on some of these work outs can really cause some damage to people that aren't warm.
The workouts are short, which is great when you're on the go, but I don't really get warm. Because of this, some poses I'm definitely not warmed up for. As far as the physical practice goes, it's not very challenging. It gets blood flowing and engages muscles, (something is better than nothing) but I imagine I'll have to do two or three workout sets to really feel like strengthened muscles. That said, I'm someone that needs to be guided through poses (as opposed to self guided) so this app helps to keep me accountable to myself with its warm up, workout, and cool down timers.
Functionally, this app is seamless and easy to use!
In LOVE 5/5
I love this app! It’s changed my life! I save time driving to the gym in the morning before having to head into the office. I have my morning workout that gets the blood going and helps me break a sweat and after dinner before bed, I do some yoga stretches to calm me in the evening. This app has a wide range of workouts. Though I’m a creature of habit who uses only 2 of the workouts, I like knowing I can switch it up at anytime. Thank you, Asana!
Morning Workouts 5/5
Since I learned about Asana Rebel, I haven’t had to join a gym or leave my home at 5am to work out. Asana is my morning workout.
Really Buggy 3/5
I've had this app less than a day and already cancelled my subscription. Definitely have buyer's remorse. Each time I open it, it references an error. I'll keep trying, at least until the subscription expires, because it's a good idea and there are a few things in here I like... But for straight workouts, FitOn is still my go-to.
Cancel your subscription before they rip you off 3/5
By Argh hooted
Used it for a while and was really into it. Then everything kinda got stale. I’m not the kinda person who can do the same workouts over and over again week after week and to me it just felt like there weren’t enough to keep my interest and keep me engaged.
CAN ONLY WATCH ON PHONE 2/5
The videos and content are alright, better than some but still not my favorite. The biggest thing is unless you have an Apple TV, you can’t watch this on a bigger screen. I have a fire stick and tried to mirror this on my laptop which worked but then I had no audio to control. I hate doing yoga and moving my phone around because I went from a downward dog to mountain pose and need to see what’s next. DO NOT PURCHASE through Apple as you will get no money back if you are not satisfied. I suggest you purchase through Asana directly if you still don’t care about an interrupted practice. Overall even though the app I’m stuck and paid for - I won’t use it. That’s how much I hate it
Great workouts but not for the price 2/5
If it were cheaper, I’d consider but you can look up most of this stuff on the Internet so you pretty much are just paying for a workout secretary. Looks like a great app outside of cost though
This app is the perfect app for guided exercise. It gives you exactly what you want for the day and you don’t have to think about a single thing! It goes trough all of it with you so you don’t have to keep looking at your phone or try and remember the next exercise. For $5 a month DANG. Would recommend 10/10
Workout was good, getting to it was bad 4/5
New user. Start the app, asked for name, age, height, weight, and goal. “We’ve created a personalized workout” it says (it hasn’t). Then asked for credit card, marketing info, and Facebook login before ever seeing a workout, or even what’s available. Once through all that, tossed into a sea of “featured” and “new” workouts, music, a survey, with no guidance whatsoever and where to start. Managed to find my way to a category list and an appropriate workout, which was great, but very nearly bailed out before getting there.
TRICKED INTO PAYING 60 dollars for you tube videos!!! 1/5
NO WAY TO GET A REFUND PLEASE HELP
Much to improve 2/5
1. Does not look good in my iPad mini. I can see there’s a timer that is not fitting in the screen.
2. Cant listen to my own music.
3. I was hoping to see harder and creative flows, also longer.
1. Voices and guides are ok
2. Locations and filming is nice.
3. Some of the workouts are harder. It’s just that there are few.
Love this app! 5/5
I love this app! I love all the variety of workouts, long and short that are yoga focused. They also have HIIT workouts in there and you can take this everywhere! No excuses. You can even download the workouts and I’ve taken this onto a cruise boat with me!
Morning rituals 5/5
Challenging myself with muscle training besides my yoga and kundalini morning rituals. Great core workout. Even I was challenged. Whoa! Thank you. Short and strong sequence. 🙏
False advertisement 2/5
By Zombie ZS
I almost never write reviews, but I feel compelled to for this app. I was hooked by the “customized workout” Asana Rebel advertised, and signed up for a one-year subscription off the spot because I was feeling motivated to get back into a work out routine. That’s on me for not reading the latest reviews.
There is no customized workout. And honestly, very minimal value add to what you can find on the internet for free. From the latest reviews it seems like they used to be great. This app is no different than finding a workout channel on YouTube and picking out mini workouts to do on your own. The music and tracking (minimal) functions on it are better achieved with other apps anyways.
Asana Rebel, if you are reading this, please make some changes. I will look into getting a refund if possible as well.
Not happy 1/5
I have tried repeatedly to cancel because I found this app was not a good match for me. Because it wasn’t clear, I accidentally renewed (the last thing I wanted) and am now finding it impossible to cancel. 😢 Help!
Getting in shape 5/5
By Staying in Shape
Love this app! I am in my late 40’s and have been an athlete my entire life. I was looking for something that I could do in my home prior to work that was intense but didn’t involve a lot of impact. This was the answer! I have gotten stronger and been challenged. The new workouts are a huge plus in maintaining my interest as well. Definitely recommend this for those more experienced athletes.
Loving my accidental purchase! 5/5
Bought accidentally. Love the workouts! Any way I can reflect the workout from my mobile device into my television.?
Stupid app 1/5
Doesn’t work it get crazy while signing up it always says wrong password although you’re just starting and registering
Sad I renewed my subscription 2/5
Used to love this app. My favorite thing was being able to choose your desired workout series and for the next few weeks be guided towards achieving your goal and actually seeing improvements. I felt like the workout library also had a wide variety to choose from if I wanted to add a workout, for example to stretch my back.
Now, when I try to do the short workouts ie 5 minutes. I always get taken to something much longer that with my new commute and having to walk the dogs in the morning, and get everything ready for everyone, I don’t always have time for and I’ve found stretching and moving is great for me.
Can we please bring the old way back. There was nothing wrong with the app as it was. And what is with the music and quizzes now? There’s a book you should read called Start with Why. You’ve added too much and lost focus as far as I’m concerned.i really regret having subscribed for a year.
When I open the app, a breathy-voiced woman whispers Asana”. I’m given a choice of 3 workouts. But all II get when attempting to use a workout is some elevator type music. I can adjust it’s volume! That’s not much of a workout. Don’t get this.
This app is close to liftoff, but in its current form it isn’t likely to get off the ground. The workouts themselves are great. But as others here have pointed out, there are some key issues that really hinder its functionality, given the impression that the developers were more focused on reproducing a cliché fitness cultural aesthetic over actual quality design. For example:
The app design/interface is poor. The workouts are grouped in collections, each with a sequence of videos to follow. However, if you’re trying to follow a specific collection, you have to go through several menus to get back to where you left off. There’s no indication within the collection of what your next workout in the sequence might be either — you just have to remember, or look back into your past activities. Why not let users subscribe to a collection and have the next workout in the sequence on the first menu page? If it’s a question menu space, I’m sure most of us wouldn’t miss pointless content like the “quiz of the day”, which evaluates, for example, whether you can correctly identify a garbanzo bean or if it’s possible to drink too much water, or the out of place “music for focus.”
I have to echo the comments of others on the brevity of the workouts. Bookended by good warm-ups and cool-downs, which are nice, the meat of the workouts themselves are pretty short, especially considering that on average the workouts are about 15-20 minutes total, with only a few hitting around 30 minutes. Sometimes short is good, but if you want a longer workout your only option is to go back through the clunky interface and find something else, repeating another warm-up and cool-down in the process. Sometimes before the cool-down the app prompts you whether you’d like to continue to another set, which is fantastic but only pops-up sporadically. Why not allow users to create their own longer workout by allowing us to group together a handful of individual workouts into one long sequence, seamlessly transitioning from one workout to the next? Or, even better, perhaps give us the option of repeating the core section of the workout a few more times before starting the cool-down? Oddly, the app is replete with (over-emphasizes?) 5 minute workouts. Maybe these are great in a pinch to shake you out of a stupor, but no one is really going to get fit via 5 minute workouts, unless they do a half dozen in one go (which, again, would be a huge pain given the poor interface). A few of these 5min options would probably be enough.
The instructions for the poses and sequences are great, yet the audio sounds like it was recorded in a tin can. It’ll make you cringe if you think back to how much you spent on your subscription.
A number of people have spoken to the loss of the coach function. I can’t directly speak to that, having gotten the app after it had already been eliminated. But it would be amazing to have it back, and with it greater direction towards maximizing our workout goals instead of making users sift though all the choices and variables to figure it out for ourselves. Being no fitness expert, I find myself at a bit of a loss on how to best leverage all the content, and often succumbing to decision fatigue trying to figure out the next steps. People pay for fitness apps for help mapping out their road to fitness…if this assistance wasn’t necessary a lot more of us would already be fit.
I don’t mean to be a total critic — there’s some great stuff and plenty of potential here…hence the detailed review in the hopes that someone over there is listening. Yoga inspired fitness is a great niche: it feels fantastic and offers a number of benefits that regular bodyweight/plyometrics don’t. But in it’s current form I’m likely to go elsewhere after my 3 month subscription is up. I’m not sure what this app gives you that you couldn’t get for free (and with a smoother user experience) through some perusing for suitable videos/channels on YouTube, perhaps paired with the fantastic Nike Training Club app or Freeletics, which costs about the same as Asana Rebel and offers a lot more direction.
Most useful app on my phone! 5/5
By Rasheeda A.
I love this app and how accurately they customize workouts based on your likes. After you finish your workout you rate it with a thumbs up or thumbs down. The result is amazing! Your workouts just flow and build up organically! I recommend Asana Rebel to all.
Changed my travel 5/5
I travel a lot for work and miss the yoga and workouts I normally do. This has totally changed everything. I can do a stretch session or a HIIT session or a hard yoga or whatever i need at that moment from 5 minutes to over 30. Excellent instruction and videos. I’m impressed
By Oh well1
In middle of session audio and video were out of sync by 8 seconds or so. By the fourth round back in sync.
A HIT! 2nd workout- not easy but worth the challenge!
Great App 5/5
Love this app. I highly recommend it. I am a big traveler, travel 60% of the time. This app keeps me in shape wherever I go. Very well designed, trainers and coaches are great. Excellent navigation. I’ve tried at least a dozen exercise app, this one is the best.
Unable to access 1/5
Unable to open app. No one can help. Very poor customer service. Do not waste money. No one will correct technical issues. And I have not received refund I asked for
Great at home workouts 4/5
Im not a runner and probably never will be. I don’t have any workout equipment and I don’t plan on spending money to go to the gym surrounded with people I don’t like. I bought this app during Black Friday and it was at great deal, I couldn’t pass it up. I love doing yoga and I know how intense it can be. These workouts are amazing. I’m always sore the next day, full body even when I choose lower or upper body videos. I took one star off because I wish I could play my own music while the video is running, and some of the collections say they have a certain amount of workouts but I only see 2 or three when there should be more.
Bought 1-Year Subscription- All videos still locked! 1/5
I bought a full year subscription as I was really excited to use this app, however, after the money was withdrawn from my account (even a month later), I am still unable to access the workout videos. First, I tried to “Restore Purchase” multiple times but nothing worked. I tried to get my money back but the app said my reasons were invalid. I’m extremely upset and frustrated with the Asana Rebel app. $60 down the drain with no services or refunds received. I’d give negative stars if I could.
Won’t let me create account 1/5
Was excited about this app - but as SOON as I created a profile agreeing answering height, age, weight (etc) questions, I set up my email and there was a pop up that said my email wasn’t valid. I’ve had this email address for 15 years and use it all the time. Tried to enter it 3x, a times rejected, so I gave up and deleted your app. Too busy and can’t be bothered with email rejections. Sounds like you have bugs and glitches. Hope you can sort this out otherwise you will lose a great athletic demographic.
Amazing 5 Stars!! 5/5
By evelyn bonet
I am so much stronger! I love that you jump right into your workout, and the calendar feature is perfect! I’m much more consistent as it shows my longest streak, and workout hours. I am definitely feeling a change in my body. Your teachers have great form. You can tell that they are elite in their practice. I want to learn from the best, and this app lets me do that. The newest workouts are top notch!! Please come out with yogi apparel so I can proudly rep #asanarebel
Not if your a big guy 3/5

Weights don’t go over 350... goal weight not over 150. Not useful.
Love it 4/5
By holly coco
I love this app and love the workouts but I wish there was more options for lengths of workouts rather than just 5 minute pieces of the longer workouts. It would be nice if there was some 10-15 minute options and some 30-40 minute options.
Option to schedule workouts? 4/5
Came over from Gaia's app because that one was so sterile and didn't have diverse enough instructors. I love this app but think it could be improved by adding 1) a scheduling tool so I can choose my workout for the day and don't get lost in the forest of options when the time comes, and 2) an option for a more traditional yoga track, like chanting or ambient noise without a driving techno beat.
Other than that, I'm having a great time.
Asana Rebel 1/5
Can't open Hit install now , goes back to
Original page. worthless at this point.
Long workouts are way to short, short workouts are way too shorter. I would buy another app.
The workout intensity is off too
No more free 5-min workouts 1/5
I was actually starting to develop the habit of doing this for 5 min daily. I loved this app for the freebie section of workouts. It’s gone now, and so am I.
Can't create your own playlists :( 3/5
I would love the opportunity to create me own playlist of flows but the app doesn't provide for that. I wish you would add it. I would consider not canceling.
Not worth the stress & frustration 1/5
Got this app as the free version over a year ago. Liked it a lot & wanted access to everything, so paid the $58.xx to get access. What a waste. I stopped using it 6mo ago (I broke my old phone & never downloaded it to the new one because I never used it). Clearly everyone else is also having issues & is frustrated with the lack of resolution for all the tech issues. Now, I just got hit with another $58.xx charge and after read my the fine print, despite the app being horrible, I can't get my money back. Worst customer service.
Poor subscription options 1/5
I really want to try this app, but I’m really disappointed you don’t offer a free 7 day trial before purchasing. I’ve purchased several yoga, meditation, and work out apps in the past and have always had the option of trying the app first before making a commitment. Really disappointing.
You Have To Pay To Use 1/5
I seriously hate these apps that don’t make it clear from the start that you need a subscription to use anything. You go through the whole thing of signing up and giving your info and then as soon as you get into it and select a video, The subscription options pop up. Eff that 👋🏼✌🏼
I liked the workout but it kept stopping and going back to the beginning each time??
Didn’t even get to use the app 1/5
I had high hopes that this app would provide me a wide range of workouts that I could try out. Unfortunately, every time that I open the app it crashes. I haven’t been able to use it. I’ve never had an app crash as much as this does. I’d never recommend this.
Horrible! Do not download- waste of money 1/5
By Zooy fun
Tons of bugs! Videos will not load or crash. Signed up for free trial then it billed for the year and would not let me cancel subscription- $60 bucks down the drain. Help center not helpful with the problems.
