Workouts are great, but some things could be tweaked... 3/5
Workouts are great! They get you sweating in a short amount of time, they incorporate different kinds of exercises with yoga and that’s really cool, but the music played during the workouts is not my thing. It’s too pop/up-beat cycling/pilates class type music. Since it’s yoga, I’m used to more zen/chill music in the background. Also, I feel like the explanations from the instructor (tbh I’ve only done vids from 1 instructor, blonde, female) are a little vague at times; I have to go back and look at my phone (kind of difficult at times), which brings me to my 3rd point... it’s all on your phone, which is a pretty small screen. There should be an option to project the video from your smartphone to your smart t.v. (as most people have at least 1 smart t.v. in their homes nowadays, I think). I’ve listened to the focus music and the selection is extremely limited and repetitive. The most important part of this app are the workouts, definitely a hit, spot on, love them, but most other things need a lot of work. I haven’t used the sleep tab or the meditations tab, so I’m not going to review those. Thanks!
Embrassing my age with Asana Rebel 5/5
At 57years I know my basketball days are behind me. With Asana Rebel, I have found the challenging “practices” I embrace, as well as the fulfillment of good health...body and mind. Bravo Asana Rebel. I look forward to continuing my healthy life with you as I strive to reach my full potential.
Great for Beginners 5/5
By CO Mama
I started using these workouts in February this year and within a few weeks, I saw big improvements in my flexibility and strength. I still do the beginner workouts (they are challenging, but not so hard I feel like I can’t do them) and mix it into my weekly exercise regimen (walking, HITT & yoga.) The very best part for me was discovering how much it helped me prepare for my recovery from my hysterectomy. Because my arms were toned and used to supporting my body weight, I could easily lift myself up to move in and out of the bed just hours after my surgery. I also noticed I had great balance, even when I was coming off the sedation. I was never really into yoga before, but these workouts have helped me not only get strong, but just feel better about taking care of myself. I have to take a 6 week break while I heal, but I can’t wait to get back to the workouts!
I just found how to download videos for offline use. Raised my review from one star to four stars.
I like this app a lot! 4/5
The first time I paid for a subscription to Asana Rebel it was on accident. I clicked on the yearly rate to check it out and the transaction went right through. Oops!
My friends made fun of me for weeks for accidentally spending $60 on an app. But once I started using the app, I didn’t regret it so much anymore! Within just a few weeks, I could already feel my body toning and strengthening. I like that there are different trainers and different music and differently themed workouts, so I’m not doing the same thing every single day. I also like that there are different intensities, so if I do a really difficult workout one day, I can switch to an easier one the next day. Although I got bored quickly with the available workouts, they soon added more videos so I had more to do. I even got my mom into yoga, and she never thought she would be able to do it! She loves the basics of vinyasa series. They are always updating this app and have great customer service!
The only thing I don’t appreciate about this app is it’s price. I’m a college student, and I don’t have the money to drop $60 at once. Maybe if they gave me an option to pay $5 a month? I’m not sure that I’m going to pay for another years subscription because I don’t think I can afford it, but I really liked my time here. It will be difficult to replace this.
The app charged me and it keeps saying I have to pay 1/5
So I hit one year subscription and I can’t use it because it keeps saying that I need to unlock it and pay, WICH I ALREADY DID!!! So I want you guys to unlock it for me or return me my money, because the ticket already arrived at my email. Hope to get an answer soon, thanks you
Paid for app 4/5
By your company is full of crap
I cannot open this app! Very frustrating because I have paid for it! It keeps directing me to pay again! Geez! Have not even been able to start the program and there is already a problem!
Denied a refund 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 1/5
I accidentally subscribed, thought I was hitting the “X” to close out the subscription screen and the next thing I knew it charged me for a year. When I went to get a refund just minutes later, I was denied. $71.42 with taxes just swiped from my bank account without any pop-up asking if I was sure I wanted to subscribe or anything!!! So annoyed.
The Asana Rebel development team just responded to my review suggesting that I visit their website regarding my refund...which is what I did the first time and it just sends you to Apple iTunes. Lather, Rinse, Repeat, it’s a vicious circle of no help, no customer service PERSON just web-based crap where they apologize, deny your refund and send you to another site.
No refund in sight, that is the bottom line. Let’s hope my bank dispute works out and Asana Rebel doesn’t get their money. Oh! And don’t sign your BS apology letter with “Namaste”!! As a yoga teacher and a corporate professional I’m offended!!!
This app is growing out of reach 3/5
To be honest this app was my first approach - ever - to yoga, and it was the best introduction one could ask for. There used to be a limited number of workouts to get yourself closer to a healthier more flexible body, if nothing too serious, and that was fine for me. I remember this app got more exclusive in time, and suddenly all the free features were gone. I get the policy and all, and there's nothing wrong about that, but I can't enjoy it for fun anymore. It has gotten way too boring and repetitive. There are bunch of 5 minute workouts going on and on again, which after a try or two you can do them on your own. I used to learn and grow with Asana, and just have fun and be patient with the gradual progress I had. It's still a great app, one I unfortunately can't use any longer.
No free exercise 3/5
By lolly and kay kay
Asana rebel is great but I am not willing to pay so that I can exercise so I try to use that things on the app that are free but there are barely any work outs or other things that are free if there were then I would definitely use the app way
I was FOOLED 1/5
I always got ads from the app and thought it was great! Today at 7:00 am I decided to try it. And it was a succession of deception:
1- You don't have 7 free days to try and buy if you like.
2- You have two shopping options right from the start. In both, the monthly value is written.
3- I clicked on the cheapest option (monthly). I did a 21 minute exercise only. (On YouTube we can find exercises and teachers that teach the breaths and reasons for each pose.)
4- I receive information that has been debited for the full amount of $ 62.53.
5- I contacted ITunes Technical Support and they said I can't get this money back.
RESULT: I WAS MISLED AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF CONSUMER LAW PROTECTS ME.
I saw the product, did not like and want to return. I HAVE THIS RIGHT!
Sempre recebia propagandas do app e achava o máximo! Hoje, as 7:00am eu decidi experimentar.
Easy to follow, modifiable 5/5
By Kriista in CA
The yoga has clear instructions. The voice is calm and encouraging without the over-the-top enthusiasm that undermines credibility. Loving this app so far!!
I downloaded the free app without incident. When I returned later, I was immediately shown a Touch ID dialogue box from iTunes that I apparently didn’t understand. It authorized the purchase of the full app. That turned out to be $58. I had no interest in that purchase and hadn’t even tried the free version. I asked Asana Rebel to refund the purchase and they refused. I also requested a refund from Apple to no avail. I am neither a chronic complainer nor a tech novice. But I am a very unhappy customer.
Wish it had a monthly option 3/5
I LOVE this app but struggle to pay for a full year when I simply don’t always have time to use it. Really hope it will eventually offer the option to pay per month.
Not for beginners 2/5
It’s difficult to keep up if you aren’t already pretty fit, the poses fly past so quickly I barely have time to think, let alone react. Has zero explanation how to do any of the poses. Absolutely not for beginners.
There’s nowhere to search for specific music or programs, so if you don’t favorite something that came up on the home page, you’ll never see it again.
The plank challenge assigns a random day within the next two weeks to place the plank you just did in, so you have two blank days where you did planks and somehow have already done next Sunday.
Looks like a great program 2/5
I work out approximately 8-10 hours per week, but I thought some 5 minutes workouts w/ stretching focus would be beneficial, I I already pay a substantial fee to my local gym and can’t add more expense.
Always time for a quick workout! 5/5
Love this app with well curated exercises and great instruction. Whether you want a quick five minute pick me up routine or a longer yoga flow, this is my go to. Everyone should give it a try no matter their fitness level.
No Free Trial 1/5
I’m not sure if I’m not doing something right but I can’t find a free trial anywhere. It looked like a great app when I downloaded it in the App Store, but you want me to pay for 3 months of it up front (I could t even find a 1 month option) without having at least a 3 day free trial? Most yoga and fitness apps offer at least one week of pro features before they ask you to subscribe. Not interested. Will be deleting and finding a new exercise app.
A lifesaver 5/5
This app is the most amazing fitness app I’ve come across. I love the variety, the creativity, and the organization. You can find exactly what you’re looking for as far as style, intensity, and mood! Anxiously awaiting the Pilates Yoga blend collection. I don’t know if it’s in the future, but MAN I wouldn’t want it from any other app.
I had a few technical issues awhile back after I purchased the full app for $300. Now, all the kinks have been worked out and I am IN LOVE with this app. I teach yoga and often don’t get to challenge myself because I practice for my students. This app really gets me working hard and strengthening muscles for my own practice. I love it! I recommend it to all of my yoga students who want to practice at home too. Great job, Asana Rebel!
Great updates! 5/5
This really allows me to be more flexible with my practice based on my needs for the day. I really want to get up in to morning and practice!
Originally gave a four but changes to five 5/5
This is a good app. Especially if you travel for work like me and can’t make you’re regular classes. I’ve been very happy with this app. I’ve had it for two weeks and have been impressed.
I’m 6’0” 192lbs and find that even for me a this app has both routine and challenging workouts. I use it at home, in the gym, and in the hotels I stay in for work. It’s has both long and short workouts which help me cater to my schedule.
For the $5.00 or so a month it is so worth it to stay lose and limber
I also like that all the models are athletes and very good at the moves. Poses are easy to view and replicated. If you’re on the fence it’s worth the money.
Love the variety of teachers 5/5
By Erin Fair
Done Yoga for more than 10 years it has been fun to actually be introduced to new positions and flows within three days of using this app.
Dear Developers 1/5
It seems you spend an awful lot of ink thanking folks for their frustrations and lots of passing stuff along to who knows where, but not doing much to address their concerns—shortened workouts, no more coach function—and a host of other concerns that would have been mine if I’d subscribed. Which I won’t be b/ c what your loyal customers are calling for make utterly perfect sense, and yet I don’t see any comments thanking you for addressing their concerns.
Feeling good 😎 5/5
By Mair O
I feel really good about the program, like the instructions, pace and length. Easily done any time during the day to refresh my body.
I would like a refund
Disappointed in new app 2/5
I used the app about a year ago and really liked it. I was looking for a program to follow so signed up again and to my dismay the coach feature is gone. Huge disappointment. Wish I could get a refund.
Love this app 4/5
I love everything about this app, but I would love it even more if I was able to cast it to my TV!
No free trial? 1/5
Looks like a cool app, but there doesn’t seem to be a free trial option available so you can decide if it’s really worth the $79.99 annual subscription.
*UPDATE* July 2019
This app could be great and I will tell you how:
Longer, better Savasana.
BRING THE COACH BACK AS AN OPTION or at least make plans that you can start and follow so that you don’t have to dig through and pick a workout every time you open the app.
Better music and the option to listen to your own music.
Some sort of goal system.
But mostly, please bring back the coach feature, please and thank you.
Speaking of update, when are you guys going to update by adding more workouts/programs?! I have done everything! Also more music options or the option to listen to your own music. The option to do multiple programs at once, A LONGER SAVASANA, a better goal system.
I am a long time AR user, and I truly love it, but there are a few things that would make it better.
1. The Savasana could be longer/better. I look forward to relaxing/stretching at the end, but it barely lasts long enough for me to get settled on the ground.
2. There need to be optional stand alone warm up and cool downs, especially if you pay for the app.
3. There need to be more programs/variations and more challenging ones at that.
4. I miss being able to preview what exercises I am about to do before a workout! I'm mad that got changed after the last couple of updates.
That's all I can think of for now. Love you guys and thanks for a great app!
Going in circles 1/5

Tried to signup. I am going in circles- can’t press the button- can’t double click. I am a software developer. You need one
First time rocks! 5/5
I just thought I’d give this app a try and I wasn’t disappointed! Can’t wait for my next work out!
I expected to pay something, but no price was tagged when I installed. If there will be any surprises, you’ll hear from me. Hence the one Star bc I expect a bad surprise! But please, surprise me and prove me wrong, inform me before charging, allow me to disallow the charge, and I promise, I will change my star scale and review here.
Not as advertised 1/5
Unfortunately I purchased the annual subscription. You can’t downgrade. The video showed lots of cardio and complete body workouts but I can’t find any. The only thing I find are yoga stretches. Don’t recommend.
Run Away From this App 1/5
First of all - I thought I was getting the “free trial” of this app and it charged me the year subscription fee. I tried to cancel and it sent me to Apple to cancel. Then Apple said it did not qualify for a refund.
So I thought - okay - it’s mine now. I’ll try it.
And it’s terrible. You cannot search for types of workouts (ie Beginner), and the workouts move so fast that by the time you see and hear the instructor give you a pose - they’ve moved on to the next one.
The photos are gorgeous. Looks like a well-curated instagram account. And like a well-curated instagram account, it is hollow and not actually participating in real fitness. I do triathlons and was hoping this thing would give me some more flexibility and a new type of strength training. Instead, it gives me pretty photos and quick “workouts” of no substance or guidance. And ZERO customer service. Run away from this.
Not worth it 2/5
I was disappointed that this app didn’t have a trial period before charging you. It’s difficult to know if a program is right for you without trying it out. Personally for me, the workouts seemed uninteresting and boring. It didn’t give me an experience that would encourage me to workout. My biggest complaint is the automatic charge with no trial time.
Bored yogi 5/5
By Truly Radiant
Great! Loved it. Short and interesting. Something quick, different and fun after years of slow hatha style yoga.
App is free but no workouts unless you pay 1/5
I keep asking them if there is a way to trial the exercises and they keep NOT answering. So yes I downloaded the app for free, but it’s no more than a front page for my credit card sign up.
Love the workout and dislike the app 3/5
I really want to the say the workout videos are really well made and the instructors are very clear.
But the app itself is making the workout hard. It lacks some basic functions and it’s buggy at times.
For examples, three dots would appear in the middle of workout and then the video would freeze. The three dots also appear sometimes when I switch pages within the app. Also, the music disappears in the middle of workout and the instructor continues without music.
Now move on to the functions needed:
1. Please add the ability to creat a playlist and when going through the playlist, the app automatically skip the warm up and cool down between the work out.
2. Please add the ability to use my own music
Thank you all and keep up the good work!
Charged twice for a one year membership 1/5
I have have been charged twice for a one year membership. One of the charges is called a renewal. The only button I remember pressing is to allow notifications. There is no apparent way to contact support, through app.
Stream to flatscreen 4/5
I can’t find info on how to email the developer so I’ll pose this question here: does this or any yoga/fitness app have the functional capability to stream video to a flat screen? Pain in the butt looking at this on a phone and/or tablet screen while trying to follow exercise routines
3 months 5/5
I purchased this app for three months as a trial run. Probably the best decision I made there are several workouts to choose from. You can save some of your favorites. I actually lost weight when was subscribed and I’m just fat again
BEWARE. 60 bucks. Gone. 1/5
While trying to open the app to check it out I accidentally ‘subscribed’ to a year for sixty bucks (due to the tight funnel to buy that will greet you when you open the app). First time I’ve ever felt ripped off by an app. There is NO way to get a refund from Apple. Even 5 min later. Sixty bucks because I tried to check out an interesting workout app. This could be a great app but I’m so disgusted by the rip off I don’t even want to see it.
By crystal bash
Best App ever!
Portrait vs. Landscape viewing 3/5
It would be really nice if I could view the lessons in landscape as well as portrait. Hoping this is a simple upgrade. Thank you.
Newbie at yoga 5/5
By BJ Shobe
I don’t know all the poses yet so it was difficult for me to follow along and watch to see what he was doing at the same time. But I love to work out
Technical Difficulties 1/5
I purchased the one year subscription of Asana Rebel app. After just a few days of having it, the work outs would stop midway through a session or just not load at all. Very disappointed with my purchase. Especially because I purchased it through my Apple App Store, which does not allow reimbursement.
Can’t login 1/5
I keep trying to set up an account and when it has me login with email, it won’t let me and I checked my password multiple times even reset it and it still won’t let me in. Even tried logging in with my Facebook, same thing happened.
You are ridiculous 1/5
How does one even know if they want to purchase your app with a few fleeting demos. I downloaded this app and the first thing you showed me was NOT routines but pay before I see anything? You are ridiculous. I'll buy another app that lets me see what they are all about in depth BEFORE I pay for anything. Nutty.
