Misleading subscription 1/5
Beware, if you turn down the 1 month and 3 month options you will automatically be sign up for the 1 year premium subscription. I tried to cancel immediately upon realizing I had inadvertently subscribed for Entire year, but was only able to cancel the yearly renewal. I was charged for the entire year and unable to obtain a refund. Beware that this is an app that resorts to shady, deceitful tactics to get subscribers.
Effective though repetitive and a little dull 4/5
I love these workouts! They make me sweat and I feel like I’ve worked out-legit! But, I wish the workouts weren’t all so similar and a little personality to the narrator/coach and video wouldn’t hurt.
Not for beginners 3/5
By Convenient and effective
The workouts on this app are not for beginners. I say this because I have some yoga experience that taught me about posture and adjusting the body to my skill level so I don’t hurt myself. These workouts are fast pace and don’t dedicate any time to this. So if you don’t know what you’re doing, I recommend trying a few in-person yoga classes first before diving in. And even then, maybe stick to YouTube workouts that are slow paced for beginners so you can familiarize yourself with the poses and the correct way to do them to avoid injury. Otherwise the workouts on Asana will frustrate you because by the time you figure out one pose, they are moving on to the next.
If you have experience with yoga, you’re gonna enjoy the workouts. They are quick and sweet. Usually 30 minutes so you can squeeze it into a daily routine, if the app doesn’t freeze your video...
I like this app because the workouts are enjoyable but I have yet to get through one workout without the video stream freezing. I play it on the app from my iPad and then connect it to Apple TV so I can have a larger screen. Unfortunately, every time the video freezes, it takes me at least 3 minutes to get it back to where I was. I can’t just drag the bar at the bottom of the video to where I left off. I have to make sure the video is on pause and I’ve pressed the button to skip the intro before I can try to fast forward to where I left off. And even under these conditions it will still bounce back to the intro a few times before it finally works. I have to do this about 3 times for each workout. This is okay for me because I have the extra few minutes to troubleshoot but it is definitely annoying and I don’t plan to renew my subscription if this doesn’t get corrected. It’s pretty basic stuff.
Loved...at first 2/5
When I first got this app I loved it!!! I loved the 2 free workouts a day!! The exercises were fun and entertaining, maybe a little fast but overall great. Things started going wrong when they took away voice over accessibility with an update. I couldn’t use it anymore. Itd take me to the end of a workout and when it got to the “buy now page”I couldn’t get out of it. Then I downloaded it again just to see if the issue had been fixed...it hasn’t by the way! When I downloaded it again I noticed you only got one free 5 minute work out a day and everything else you had to pay for.
This app used to be great, now they’re just money hungry. I’ll go to YouTube and find “yoga inspired fitness” thanks.
Feel scammed 1/5
By AMC Tokyo
I paid for a subscription to this and barely used it as I just didn’t care for the workouts that I tried. I thought I properly deleted my account and was just charged another $60. Lesson learned to be diligent with subscriptions. Have asked apple for a refund twice and been denied.
Miss the old version 3/5
By maureen dai
I’ve been using Asana for almost two years now. I prefer the older version where I could select a program that would last 4 or more weeks. It’s easier to stay on track and feel rewarded. Exercise only works when it’s a very regimented thing for me so that’s why I loved the older version of Asana rebel. I spend too long browsing with this new version when I really just go back to the same handful of workouts anyway.
Questions for the developers 5/5
I am new to this appl but am really enjoying it. I use it s a reward after doing something I don’t really want to do
Question for the developers
I am intermediate level but like to challenge myself with some of the more advanced moves. Is there a way to move back and forth between advanced and intermediate workouts?
And once there is there a tutorial on how to work into some of the positions. Like tips to get into crow
By Cardinals no.1 fan
I have downloaded the app and tried to register be providing my email and a password but it tells me the password is invalid. I am creating one. And it doesn’t give me the guidelines for what a password should be. I’ve tried all kinds of different passwords but the app is not allowing any of them.
COMPLETE waste of money!!! 1/5
I signed up for this app/fitness service two days ago after receiving a 30% coupon code via email. I was directed to the Asana Rebel website and asked to create an account. In order to unlock content you’re required to pay for a twelve or three month subscription. After paying for a one year subscription I could not access any content on my iPhone app or the website. I had to do about ninety minutes of research to find out that I was required to contact customer support to activate my account since I signed up online. I submitted my customer support request and then received an message that customer service will respond within 48 hours. So, now I have to wait 48 hours before accessing what I paid for. I’m now 24 hours in with no response from customer support. If my account isn’t active tomorrow I’ll be disputing this charge in my credit card. RIDICULOUS!!!
PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - REGRETTABLE PURCHASE!!! 1/5
The reviews are not adding up. There are so many bad reviews for this app - no way it’s just under 5 stars. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. So many better, cheaper apps out there. Try Zen labs they have awesome bundles for free or a fraction of the cost. These workouts are sooooo boring. Do not waste your money. I’ve done 3 different sessions one following the other and did not break a sweat, there aren’t any workouts longer than about 25 minutes and if you do one after the other there is absolutely no flow. The high intensity ones are so lame. Apple won’t refund my money. Contacted the company and they blame it on Apple. Stay away. DO NOT BUY THIS!
Like it but want more 3/5
I am loving this app. It’s helping me get started with getting in shape, toning up and loosing weight. I’ve always loved yoga so I know this is the route for me but........ once I’m ready for more I don’t think this all will fit my needs bc there aren’t any longer exercises. Please add 45-1hr long workouts!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT USE THIS!!!! 1/5
The ads are a LIE! They say it will be $5 a month to utilize this app but charge you $60!!!! Now I am STUCK with an app I’ll never use! All I wanted was to try it! Now I’ve lost $60 and Apple REFUSES to give me my money back! I haven’t even attempted to utilize this app! Total scam!!!!! I’m so upset ...
Why does the workout freeze so much? 2/5
I have only been in this app 24 hours and tried 2 workouts I can’t get them to play without freezing up? I updated did my do much good please email me Thanks
Almost perfect 3/5
I am fairly new to consistent yoga (since November 2018), and I hate HIIT workouts because they are rough on my joints. This app combines those things rather nicely so I can still feel the burn, but I also get the deep stretch and relaxation that I love. I do love the new freedom and flexibility to choose any workout I want, but I also miss the program feature because it was nice to see it all mapped out over the course of a few weeks, and it allowed me to be more goal oriented. I wish we could have both!
Worst app ever 1/5
Very bad!! Don’t buy it.
I can’t sign up! Every time I try (and believe me it’s been at least 15 times), I get a different error message in a different language.
Can’t keep up even with simplest routines. 1/5
Not appropriate for a beginner. Makes me feel inferior when attempting the workouts vs empowered or motivated. Attempted to get a refund to buy something more appropriate for my level...no go. Expensive waste of $$. Pray this not a subscription.
Rip off 1/5
Be very careful when getting this app!!
Don’t even bother 1/5
This app is terribly managed. I wanted to pay for the app after seeing a ton of ads and it’s clear their team is poorly executing on the product. I spent 30 minutes just trying to figure out how to pay for it, and I still have not been able to do so.
Don’t even bother getting started. Your yoga vision will be sidetracked with frustration.
By Gregory J...
I was pushing the button to exit the screen and it read my fingerprint to purchase!
I did not want this app!
This app sneaked up a pop-up screen to make this purchase I did not want possible!
I am super upset with this feature!
I feel the app developers are extremely unethical! And would like a full refund of my money!!!
Perfect stretch! 5/5
I love the quick five minute stretch and strengthening exercises. This is perfect for after running stretching and relaxing!
Freezing/error messages 1/5
Tried to get a refund for this application as the app is continually having connection/error issues but apple does not believe that qualifies it for a refund. Not impressed with both app and apple’s lack of customer service on its app support.
Should be a YouTube channel 2/5
This app doesn’t seem to provide any functionality that I wouldn’t get from a YouTube channel. A rarely updated YouTube channel.
I wish the workouts were harder and longer. I wish you could compile a set of a few workouts to make one hour long workout session. I wish they added workouts more frequently.
Won’t load 1/5

App won’t load. It just goes to a white screen.
Faulty subscription 1/5
By Asana Reba Fail
I purchased the premium subscription and it still locked my access to premium perks. Tried to get a refund; was denied. Went to the website for troubleshooting, did what they suggested and it still didn’t work. So I paid $60 for nothing. Very disappointing.
Needs more workouts 3/5
By Lizzie 109
I really and truly enjoy the workouts and the green dots you collect at the end of the day and the amount of time each workout is and how you can choose to extend your workout. It’s really nifty!
The problem is that they never add new classes. I’ve been doing the workout about 5 times a week for the past two months and it’s already getting a bit stale. You need to add new workouts! Just crowdsource to top teachers around the globe and if it has good editing, put it on the app.
Fairly good app 4/5
By Jane n John
I currently have Asana Rebel, Yoga Studio and Daily Yoga apps. I’ve had Yoga Studio the longest and stayed with it because it is a simple app, highly customizable for what I feel up for that day. I like that I’m not “tied” to a specific yoga program
I’m somewhat new to Asana Rebel Premium and like the exercises and yoga routines. I use it similar to yoga studio, picking a routine I would like for that morning by the amount of time I have available and the intensity of the workout.
A few suggestions:
1. Have spectate warm up and cool down sessions from the main routine to make the exercises more customizable
2. Instead of short vs long durations, group exercises by 0-5 min, 5-10 min, 10-15 min, etc.
3. Increase the number of 10-15 min sessions
4. Include the older versions of exercises in the main section instead having us dig for it in ‘past workouts’. If you do a past workout exercise, it is also not counted or reflected in your. Workout calendar.
So disappointed 1/5
At first I was able to use the app and loved it- and THEN it glitchedand now I can no longer access ANY videos- all I get is a white screen and redundant music. (Have reinstalled it- tried everything to no avail) I have reached out a few times to helpdesk and received NOTHING back! So frustrating and disappointing. Feel like this was a total waste of money!
Don’t pay for it. Not worth it 1/5
The workouts are great. But half the time the app doesn’t work. So learn from my poor choices DO NOT PAY FOR THIS APP WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!!!!
I unsubscribed and was still charged the $16. This app scams you of your money and I would not recommend it at all. It is overpriced (that’s the reason I unsubscribed) and it continues to take your money once you’ve left.
Love the app 4/5
It’s a great way to wind down my day. Sometimes it doesn’t seem like the workout itself is long enough, but I love the way I feel afterward.
The music is so unmotivating 2/5
I do not want to do a longer workout and listen to the same “jingle” for more than 5 mins. It’s horrible. I wish there were more like stations to choose from such as pop, indie, rock, etc verses just one commercial-sounding song.
Love Asana Rebel Yoga App! 5/5
I love the AsanaRebel Yoga app as it has helped put yoga back into my daily routine. My busy day just doesn’t allow for all the drive time to and from a local yoga class. With this app I can now fit yoga into my day throughout the day. The Desk Dwellers Series is my new favorite as it most closely replicates the local yoga class that I used to attend. Love it!
Used it once was a great thing now it crashes! 1/5
By FatDaddy d
Paid for a yearly subscription, used it once now all it does is crash really sad it was a great stretch and workout!
Video dropped 3/5
I just purchased the app today and enjoyed first 10 mins but the video dropped twice.
Videos not playing 1/5
I bought a subscription earlier this week. I loved this app in the past but never purchased the full version (aka coach) in the past because it was too pricey. But the new price of $60 for one year is great! So I got it. It worked well for three days, but now, the videos aren’t playing. I’ve tried EVERYTHING. I restarted my phone, which did nothing. I updated my phone, which did nothing. The only thing that works is deleting and redownloading the app, BUT it only works for one video and then they stop playing again. It’s not my connection, as it does the same on WiFi AND on data... not to mention all my other apps are fine. I like the workouts and how it keeps track but I’m very frustrated. I spend more time trying to get the app to work than working out! On top of that, the app won’t let me change my goal. When I used the app over a year ago I set my goal as weight loss but now I’m looking to get fitter and it won’t allow me to change that.
All in all I love the workouts and the idea but the app really stinks. Since I paid for a year all at once I’ll keep using the app, but I’d rather not have to delete and download every time I want to workout. It’s frustrating.
Wish I could turn off the background music 5/5
Really enjoy this app. Been using it everyday since day#1. I would love to see an option to turn off the background music though... everyday with the same music kinda grows old. Would much rather have the option to turn off the “dee dee do”s and just listen to the instructor’s voice while playing my own music on the side. Is this a possibility? I looked in settings and did not see the option..
All and all though, to a curious purchaser of the app, I highly recommend.
App doesnt work. Way of making money! 1/5
They charged $38 and charge your card right away. Now the videos arent working for me. Can you refund my money as I cancelled the subscription on the same day.
By briwn sugar
Yoga is great for someone that’s getting back into the routine of exercising. It’s a excellent way to stretch, breath and tone the muscles, without overwhelming you in a high impact routine for just starting.
Thanks yoga family.
Easy to incorporate into your day 5/5
I love yoga but can’t afford an expensive studio right now. Asana Rebel’s short workouts make it easy to fit into your day and you can do multiple workouts back to back for a more intense experience. The videos and instructions are perfect if you already have some yoga experience, but you could probably also use them to learn as a beginner. It brings me the peace of mind and physical challenge of an in person yoga class without the high expense or scheduling conflicts.

Fantastic way to start.
No trial period??? 1/5
The app LOOKS amazing, however, it appears that there is no way to try it out without committing to a 3 month or 12 month subscription. With the insane number of subscription based services these days it is very hard to sign up for things blindly, without going broke. The 1 star is simply because I do not know. I just wanted to let people know, before going through the initial questionnaire and giving out your email address, that you must sign up for 3 or 12 months in order to even check out any of the workouts.
Old version was GREAT 2/5
I would gladly give my money every month to have the old program back. You had the option to start a 4-6 week long program based on your needs. The workouts were perfect and only took me about 2 weeks to start seeing incredible results. I even got abs for the first time in my life! Now that option is gone. You can still access the old workouts but they don’t register on their workout log anymore so it doesn’t show that you worked out for the day if you do an old workout. Also, there are only 5 workouts available from each old program (fatburn, bikini body, stretch & move, etc.) so there is no progression or building towards a long term goal. The new workouts are 5 minutes shorter than the old ones and include a 5 minute warmup and an 8 minute cooldown. So your actual workout is only about 10 minutes long, and has proven to been much less effective than the old ones. You spend more time warming up and cooking down than you do working out- what’s the point of that? The programs were what made this app great. I’ve seen lots of customers express similar concerns and I’m not sure why they don’t seem to care? They would be making loads more money if they incorporated both the old and the new. I’m only subscribing as long as the older workouts are still accessible. If those leave, I’ll finally cut ties...unless they decide to listen to the people who’ve supported them the longest. ✌🏼
This app is really great. Paying for it has motivated me to use it everyday. It has a variety or workouts, which is really nice day to day.
Good Workout, AWFUL MUSIC 3/5
I’m enjoying the workouts so far, but I’m giving it 3 stars because the MUSIC is THAT AWFUL. It’s so repetitive and distracting - and it NEVER CHANGES no matter which workout you choose. And who does shavasana to thumpy dance music? Anyway, no matter how much I enjoy the workouts I won’t pay for this app again unless they add a feature to turn off or change the music.
Where did the programs go? 3/5
I know it’s been a while since this happened but I’m still very annoyed about it. I loved the month-long (or longer) programs that designed what I was supposed to do every day. Now I’m confused and need to dig through the app to remember what I did before and what I’m supposed to do today, which is really not encouraging. It should at least still be an option. Was a perfect app until you took that option away!
Needs improvements 3/5
Most of the flows are great and the variety is good. But the music will distract you and can be obnoxious. They also don’t discuss alternative poses or break them down. If you’re new to yoga you could hurt yourself. Overall it’s overpriced for what you get.
Coach is gone!!! Disappointed!! 2/5
The coach setting is gone. As soon a I paid for the year subscription, my favorite feature disappeared! The coach had my daily work outs all ready when I logged in. Now I have to scrolled through and figure out a work out. The work outs are fine but the one thing that made it an ease to use disappeared after I paid the outrageous yearly fee!
Videos (both downloaded and streaming) won’t play 1/5
I have been using this application (which I’m really enjoying) for about two weeks and I’m keep running into an intermittent issue where I cannot play any of the videos on the application, including my downloaded videos. I’ve confirmed that this is not a network issue on my side and the issue appears to be software related. When I attempt to play a video a white screen appears and the video never loads. Neither restarting nor reinstalling the application resolves the issue.
I work in software development/QA and I’m disappointed to see that reviewers in the Apple store have been reporting this critical application issues for a few weeks and the Asana Rebel team has not communicated that they are aware of or trying to fix the issue. Their handling and response to this type of defect is not at all what I’d expect of an application that costs as much as theirs does.
While I’d love to be able to continue using your app, I have a very hectic schedule and I don’t appreciate having to use my limited work-out time to reach out about what appears to be a known issue on the platform (based on the number of reviewers on both Instagram and the Apple store complaining about it).
If this gets fixed soon I will be happy to update my review and continue to use this application. But if it does not I will absolutely request a refund for my subscription. I think it’s ridiculous to pay this much money for an application who’s core functionality completely is completely broken.
