Long workouts are way to short, short workouts are way too shorter. I would buy another app.
The workout intensity is off too
No more free 5-min workouts 1/5
I was actually starting to develop the habit of doing this for 5 min daily. I loved this app for the freebie section of workouts. It’s gone now, and so am I.
Can't create your own playlists :( 3/5
I would love the opportunity to create me own playlist of flows but the app doesn't provide for that. I wish you would add it. I would consider not canceling.
Not worth the stress & frustration 1/5
Got this app as the free version over a year ago. Liked it a lot & wanted access to everything, so paid the $58.xx to get access. What a waste. I stopped using it 6mo ago (I broke my old phone & never downloaded it to the new one because I never used it). Clearly everyone else is also having issues & is frustrated with the lack of resolution for all the tech issues. Now, I just got hit with another $58.xx charge and after read my the fine print, despite the app being horrible, I can't get my money back. Worst customer service.
Poor subscription options 1/5
I really want to try this app, but I’m really disappointed you don’t offer a free 7 day trial before purchasing. I’ve purchased several yoga, meditation, and work out apps in the past and have always had the option of trying the app first before making a commitment. Really disappointing.
You Have To Pay To Use 1/5
I seriously hate these apps that don’t make it clear from the start that you need a subscription to use anything. You go through the whole thing of signing up and giving your info and then as soon as you get into it and select a video, The subscription options pop up. Eff that 👋🏼✌🏼
I liked the workout but it kept stopping and going back to the beginning each time??
Didn’t even get to use the app 1/5
I had high hopes that this app would provide me a wide range of workouts that I could try out. Unfortunately, every time that I open the app it crashes. I haven’t been able to use it. I’ve never had an app crash as much as this does. I’d never recommend this.
Horrible! Do not download- waste of money 1/5
By Zooy fun
Tons of bugs! Videos will not load or crash. Signed up for free trial then it billed for the year and would not let me cancel subscription- $60 bucks down the drain. Help center not helpful with the problems.
Very disappointed 1/5
I took a few months break due to personal reasons and was just starting to get back to my workout routine. I paid for a year subscription only to find out I couldn’t even use said subscription. Everything is locked still and whenever I tried to restore my purchase the pop up just keep, well, popping up and won’t go away unless I press cancel. Other times, it would say “could not connect to iTunes” even though I’m on WiFi and signed in on my account. I used to love this app and have been raving to my families and friends about this. Instead of helping me feel calm and centered, however, it just added to my stress. Needless to say I will be cancelling my subscription.
Could use some improvements 3/5
I do love this app, I get a great workout. However, as others have said I wish I could add multiple workouts at the start so I only have one warm up and one cool down. I also am having difficulties syncing my workouts with apple HealthKit and my Apple Watch. I have to manually add my workouts. I wish it would automatically do that every time I complete a workout.
I would love more musical variety
Great combination! 5/5
By Miriam MGL
Perfect length and grea combination of yoga and fitness. Love it, because it has 5 min work out option which I could do when I feel really weak and lazy.
Subscription only 1/5
I wish you stated clearly that this is a paid app. No info or workouts, aside from a promo ad, is available for free. It’s a frustrating experience because nowhere is this stated until after registration, when you’re trying to access workouts. Waste of my time.
Too much hassle 1/5
This app mostly doesn’t work , it locks you out and you can’t find an easy way to fix it or find someone that can , the page changes and you can’t find things that were available before , like the sleep meditation and the focus music , just gone....
I was going to download and try it out but after reading the reviews, I’m not going to. It’s too bad too, because I really enjoyed the woman’s voice. Very calming and centered. I would have enjoyed the yoga a great deal, mainly because of her voice.
I used to adore this app. Three years ago, it taught me, someone who “hated” yoga, to love it. I practiced at home for months and 9-10 months after I started, began going to classes. I could keep up! I could do the things! I had my favorite routines for cardio, relaxation, stretching. And then? They updated their routines. I like them, but I don’t LOVE them. I miss the old flows-my body and mind felt so good and relaxed after. The “new” (it’s been a while) are good, but not great.
Continuing workout - not good 2/5
I find that when I want to “continue” my workout it will start a session but from the “warm up” stage instead of keeping me in the flow. Very disappointed.
Used to love 4/5
This app seems to be going further downhill...I love the workouts offered but the app itself doesn’t work right. I no longer can access the meals, quizzes or anything like that. I get push notifications for quizzes, click them and am brought to the home page? No longer have an explore button on the bottom of the page. I used to recommend this app to everyone but no longer do.
Update- the developer reached out and let me know to log out and log back in. This seems to have resolved some major issues. Will wait to see how the push notifications work following this.
Used to be 5 3/5
I really really really miss the workout progressions in earlier versions - 4 to 6 week plans so I knew which days to work out and for how long. Now I keep choosing the same workouts because there are so few long ones and want to try new things, but they are just 5 minutes. Please bring back the coached series (like 6 weeks to swimsuit season, etc...). Thanks!
Great results 5/5
The workouts and the breathing exercises are helping me to feel and look better. My body is more flexible, stronger, and the poses are contributing to lengthen my spine and limbs. I’m very happy with the results.
Making time for yoga has never been so easy! 5/5
This year I made it my goal to create the habit of doing yoga every day (They say it takes 60-120 days to create a habit.) I had tried other yoga apps in the past, but they all had longer workouts but no short ones, and I quickly quit using them.
My days are very full, and carving out longer chunks of time are a challenge. Asana Rebel has a variety of workout lengths (some as short as 5 minutes) and intensity levels, so it is easy to squeeze a workout in any time of the day. I also like that the directions are dubbed over the workout, rather than the teacher in the video talking while doing the asanas, so It is easier to follow, and I appreciate the motivational encouragements scattered throughout the workouts.
I am now 90 days in toward my goal, and have noticed increased strength and flexibility, even with only working out 10-15 minutes a day. The price is good as well. If you figure $10 per hour class (which is super cheap for a yoga class!) in a yoga studio, the app paid for itself very quickly. I am very happy with it! Thanks!
Love the app!! 5/5
However, I am not a fan of the new update. I can no longer find the plank challenge, question of the day and the study/sleep music.
Didn’t purchase full app. Can’t get a refund. 1/5
Be really careful with this app. I clicked to read reviews and do a free trial or 1 month. Backed out before purchase and “ding” shows the full app at $65! Per year was charged to me. Immediately tried to cancel and get a refund. Apples system for this is awful so wouldn’t work. Now I will have to dispute the charge. Never had this issue before. Checkout on app seems to dump you to full version which is way too pricey not to be able to trial first, even a short paid trial.
Missing the old version 3/5
I like this app, however the latest update seems to have eliminated the Today tab. I really miss the music feature and Plank Challenge.
Unable to refund 1/5
I accidentally subscribed to this app for a year! But I am unable to get any refund because the subscription can be canceled only through Apple and they said it is not a valid reason to cancel! This is not fair!
Paid for nutrition section; now removed 1/5
I love the nutrition / recipes section of Asana Rebel. Somehow it was never available to anyone I recommended the app to and now it has disappeared from my version of the app too. I paid for the app because of the nutrition section and unless it returns I will be canceling my membership.
Great short work outs but too fast! 3/5
I think that the workouts may be more impactful for users if you allow just a tiny bit more time for them to hit poses and complete motions accurately and meaningfully. It can be very difficult when doing a workout for the first time to watch the screen and catch and complete the more complex series of motions. A tiny bit more time for transitions would be good as well. It would be helpful to have a bit more structure for differing skill levels so that users can better select workouts that fit them where they are.
Great but missing some intuitive features 3/5
Hello, first I'll share that I really enjoy your app, but have one major hitch in using it as I want to: the workouts are too short and to do many I have to pause too long to scan through and skip the warm up. First and foremost PLEASE add a feature to allow me to skip warm ups (not just cool downs) for when I need to combine workouts to meet my needs. It would also be SOO helpful if you could add a feature allowing users to create "playlists," where we can mix and match our favorite workouts. Being that you provide no workouts longer than 26 minutes (as far as I have seen), these would be vital functions to add for paying subscribers to really get what we need from the app. It would also be great if you would add some longer (45 min+) workouts for each brand you offer (fat burn, strength, flexibility, etc.), but the first 2 are most important for flexibility. I would be recommending you a lot more if these features were available. I gave 3 stars because these features do not exist and I see in other reviews that you have gotten a lot of similar feedback and there doesn’t seem to be a response to that feedback. Thanks for your time!
Need a short morning workout w/a warmup 4/5
I love this app & have been using it for a long time. My only complaint is that there doesn’t seem to be a sunrise salutation-type, 5-10 min workout. The short “morning flow” ones just jump right in really abruptly, like the intro was edited out. I’m not ready for that before coffee! Please post an easy, stretchy, calm morning workout.
Lost 12 lbs - seeing ab muscles - feel great!! 5/5
By Lisa C.B.
I have tried 10 different workout apps over the last 18 weeks and this is by far my favorite one. I have seen noticeable changes to my body and for the first time in life you can see the outline of my abs. When I started using this app in November I was a complete beginner to all things yoga and working out.
Asana Rebel combines hiit with yoga creating a perfect workout. The longest workouts are 32 mins and the shortest are 5 mins making it easy to work out even when I’m in a rush. The longer workouts include a warm up and cool down and all workouts end with savasana.
They update frequently and I love the new music options!
Calories count please 5/5
I wish it had calories count and fat burn programs!
Great workout! 4/5
By Hector ant
I’m going through the app to give it a try.
Agree - old version was way better 1/5
The old version was great! I had never been as consistent with my yoga but thanks to the old version planned weekly routines, I was on top it it. Until now. Having to choose between different videos each time without keeping track of weekly progress or achievements had me demotivated and I ended up canceling my subscription. I try to go to classes now but am looking for a Yoga app that is like Sweat or the old version of this app which has a continuous 4/6/12 week plan.
Thought I was purchasing a one month subscription, and end up wasting $59 on a annual subscription. I felt like I was tricked. I was instantly turned off, and don’t see myself ever using this app.
Had great expectations..... 5/5
I purchased this app’s full year subscription & have yet to access it. Over 2 weeks, multiple emails to “support” & no resolution. Pass
Love it! 5/5
By zozotte 123
Over the years I never managed to get into Yoga, these are great short and dynamic classes, very clearly explained and not too challenging. After a couple of months of doing it everyday, my body feels leaner and more toned, people notice and tell me! I have more strength and energy and just feel great overall! NAMASTE ❤️
I was really hoping good things for this app but it kept freezing and it didn’t read any of my workouts.
Work outs are good. App is just okay. 3/5
While I have been enjoying the workouts I find it frustrating that I can’t combine workouts a little more seamlessly. Before the cool down begins I’m given an option to choose another workout or begin the cool down but if I choose to begin the cool down it often starts the workout at the beginning again. And other times if I would like to continue start another work out I have to stop what I am doing, scroll through my options and start again. It would be great if I could pick a few workouts before I begin and have them play one after another.
Sometimes when I am air-playing to my Apple TV the app shuts down, or glitches and then I have to begin the work out all over again.
I have enjoyed most of the work outs on here and I like that you can search for workouts through lots of different filters depending on what you want to achieve , ex: level of intensity, flexibility, get in shape, relax and focus, etc.
All in all, it’s just okay. I may recommend it to friends but with a few caveats.
Jazzy music in svasana 4/5
By anything for $5
Nice workout. The music seemed to detract from the class. Would love to know others opinions.
By jantina t
Loved it. My first work out surprisingly both challenging but manageable
New to yoga and love it 5/5
Stretching, flexibility, core - it has it all. 5 min workouts if busy. If you’re advanced, it might be too easy.
How do I get a refund. Had this less than a day and it is not for me. Beachbody is higher quality
Love Asana Rebel 3/5
By Eliza Kand
I love this app but somehow it stopped working on my iPad keeps freezing and disappearing
I deleted it from my iPad and tried downloading it again and it won’t do anything. Very frustrating.
Love the workouts they are very effective; wish the technical issues could be fixed ASAP
Overworked shoulders 2/5
I used to like this but realizing the work outs overwork the shoulders, making it difficult to get through the work out. There are so many planks and downward dogs along with other shoulder work in each workout- without enough focus on other areas.
Aside from app issue, workouts are badly structured 2/5
Workout ratings aren’t realistic - some of the hard ones are easy, some of the easy ones are hard (I’m a beginner, and looking to expand my repertoire)
Aside from that, all the videos open mid pose, so you have to scramble to get into position. The poses move so quickly that you need to already know all the poses because you won’t have time in their workouts to figure them out
Perfect for me 5/5
Different intensity levels,
Different fun locations,
Professional and knowledgeable instructors,
LOVE the check system calendar! Great motivator!,
I guess a negative would be that the positions move too fast for beginners. I know the yoga positions so for me it’s great, not boring. I’m a beginner/intermediate yoga person so I love it!,
There’s different intensities and types (cardio, breathe, relax, stretch, strength) love it. The best yoga so far that I have experienced.
Good, but needs more variety 4/5
I like this app- the workouts are challenging and you break a sweat. I’m intermediate in terms of yoga experience, and I think beginners would have trouble. I think there could be much more variety in the poses - there is waaaaayyy too much downward dog- my wrists get tired. Also, the 4-5 minute workouts are just clips from the longer workouts - they’re good, but they’re not actually different workouts. Overall it’s good, but a few improvements could be made.
Please fix glitches!!! 3/5
Can the developers please fix the glitches! App keeps stopping in the middle of the workout and is it possible for the users to be able to skip the warm ups for when we just want to continue onto the next workout!? It’s annoying to keep using the +10 sec. I thought that feature was available a couple of weeks ago now it’s gone?
