atom is a great app. i love the convenience of it. but the one thing i hate they changed is that you can't add movies you've seen that you didn't get to purchase on atom or if someone else buys tickets for you on their atom account. can this please change back? my ocd is killing me on this one..

I used this app a few times in the past and my transactions were successful. Tried purchasing a movie ticket this weekend and I kept getting a pop up screen telling me couldn’t process payment try another card which I did. Funny thing is I encountered this problem a few years back and called Atom they claimed the account was reset and I wouldn’t encounter the issue anymore... lies! Called them again this weekend and I’m still waiting for a resolution. If you happen to have more than one credit card on the account it gets tagged as fraud which is ridiculous. Because the name on the account and cards are the same, at least thats what I was told by the customer service representative.
Ignored at Atom Concession 2/5
The only reason I used the Atom app was to avoid long lines at the snack bar. It completely backfired.
I was ignored by the concession workers until the other non-Atom lines were served.
Ordering my snacks ahead of time not only cost me more time in line but was confusing to the concession workers adding even more frustration to my experience.
I cannot recommend this service to anyone.

App keeps crashing. Can't buy tickets or anything. Trued trough facebook, amazon, email login and nothing works. Have updated the app, restarted the phone, I mean everything. It keeps telling me, Sorry there was an issue right now. This issue has been happening for the past 4 days. Pretty useless app if o can't use it.

This app probably only worked for me 4 times. Every time I try to use it, it never works and I can never go past the seat selection. I’ve installed, reinstalled, logged out, restarted my phone, tried different phones, tried using my computer....I only use this when I get a movie code from T-Mobile’s free tuesdays but what’s the point in getting the movie code if this never works? Oh yeah, customer service is of no help either. All they do is they always say that it works on their side when they try it and all the do is apologize like that’s going to solve anything. Fix your broken app bec this is beyond annoying. Good thing I purchase my tickets from fandango.

The app is great for securing tickets early for opening weekend movies, however depending on your local theater’s functionality, it may not be any different than buying tickets out right at the counter. I bought 3 tickets using the app, but still had to go to the counter to get my tickets printed out. To me, that defeated the purpose of buying early if I can’t skip the line. If your e-ticket can’t be scanned by the ticket taker, save your money and avoid the convenience fee.

I was thinking the app would auto save the ticket to my wallet and have it link to my calendar as other apps do. Ticket was purchased much ahead of time and I ended up missing it because it basically got lost in my inbox.

Need a Rewards Program 4/5
After recently bolting from Moviepass I used Atom to book my ticket to see Endgame. The app itself is great, very easy to use and my theater has a special line just for Atom food pickup which is nice. I took off a star because going forward I will probably use Fandango only because of their rewards program for booking tickets. The cost is about the same so having a Rewards program makes Fandango the better choice. I know Atom had a Rewards program last year and they need to bring it back permanently if they hope to compete with Fandango.

Your app is so easy to use! It functions fast and accurately; from paying with Apple Pay to connecting to my calendar to set a reminder. I don’t even go out to see movies often, but I just might do it more if it can be this simple.

Currently unable to close add and use app! 5/5
I can’t even use the app currently because an add for Detective Pikachu that pops up upon opening the app, can’t be closed!! It has a “skip” button that can’t be clicked, it can the ad be clicked anywhere else to close, or go away on its own. I can’t believe I can’t use the app currently because an ad won’t close!

I love the idea of this app. It is great for the most part. Until I tried to order snacks and it consistently told me my payment method was wrong, I tried four different methods, all correctly input. I want this app to work out because our regal theater can’t get the snack lines figured out. Hopefully this improves!
Poor Customer Service 1/5
Customer service is terrible and does not believe in customer satisfaction. Our 30 emails over the past year led to a phone call which got us no where. I would not recommend the headache if anything goes wrong. There are plenty of other apps to use.
Great with One Caveat 4/5
I love the app, but I really wish there were a way to view which screen/auditorium corresponds to each showtime before purchasing tickets. At some theaters, not all auditoriums are created equal, so if a particular film is showing on multiple screens, it would be nice to be able to see this information when making a decision of which showing to go to. This is information which Atom clearly has, as (again) it is shown, after purchasing. Just this one little enhancement would make me feel like the convenience fees charged by Atom are fully justified!

Won some free movie tickets for Atom off the radio, but I cannot use them because all of the theaters within a reasonable driving distance are either Cinemark or Cut, none of which are “supported by Atom”. So it’s really annoying because I would have to travel 30 miles to an AMC just to use these tickets. I’m just going to let them expire, and uninstall the app.
As far as the features of the app itself, it does not list the closest theaters that the app actually supports, but instead all of the theaters that it does not support, and tried to con you into getting the theater to start using Atom. With zero positive experience with Atom, why the heck would I push a theater to start using Atom? It’s also not easy to find theaters that ARE supported by Atom; in more technical terms, I can’t just expand the search radius. I have to go out yo google maps or something, find a theater that’s not Cinemark, get the zip code, and go back to the app to type it in. Pretty pathetic. It would be better if Atom was not so picky about its theaters. If they were worth the time, they would have been able to strike up a deal with Cinemark by now. Not worth the hassle.
We walked out of a movie 30 mins into it because It was Nothing that the previews showed. After talking to the regal manager that was very nice he told us he would give us a refund but because we bought it through atom he couldn’t but he said to call atom and we will be able to get it. So we called atom, he basically said he couldn’t help us because we called after the movie started. When we said ok that’s fine, we won’t be using atom again, he did not care. I’m sorry I’ve been using atom for a while. Customers like me and my family help them stay in business. So I will not recommend them at all and never use them again.

Really like the app and the Interface but the only downside is that you are only allowed to purchase tickets only a week in advance. For big movies like the Avenges and Starwars this is not convenient at all.

The app does not search for movies with seats together and for seats that are not in the first few rows. I want an app that shows the available theatres and showtimes that have a specified number of seats together and not in the first few rows. I then want to select the seats. This seems to be a business opportunity for someone who wants to create this.

I used love this app. Every time I went to the movies this was the go to app. Now when I go to open it, I get a “something went wrong try again” pop up . I’ve deleted it and reinstalled it several times with the same problem coming up. It’s disheartening because the app is quick and easy to use. You can skip the line and preorder everything. If they can just find and fix the bug ... it will be back at 5 stars where it belongs.
Won’t let me buy tickets 2/5
Super annoying. Every time I try to reserve a seat for certain local theaters, a message pops up saying “couldn’t connect to theater” or “that seat request didn’t go through”. I’ve tried restarting my phone, restarting the app, redownloading the app, updating the app, and STILL it does not work.
Honestly, this is probably the most solid app experience i’ve ever used on iPhone. Every app should work like this. Simplicity and user friendly at its finest.

Somewhere somehow my phone number is listed in Atoms records so purchases just fail because it’s trying to link this to that.
I give up. This used to work because I can see old tickets in my Apple Wallet...i go to buy Endgame tickets and once again I can’t complete the transaction because my number is linked to a different account ... OK FINE! What account am I linked to? Tried logging in with the phone number, nope.
I did find a solution: I’m now using the Fandango app. My account is there, functional, and my number is correct.

Called because they have no way to get me the movie I wanted citing “technical difficulties”. She told me how everyone wants to see this movie and they have 300 other people waiting. I had called 5 hours prior and that’s all they could tell me. I’ll spend my money elsewhere and you should too if you care about quality service.

I was purchasing tickets through atom and right as I purchased the tickets the website timed out before they could give me my movie barcode. The charges were already made and out of my account. When I called the first time they said wait 4 days, after four days they said wait another 12 days. I would not even rate this a 1 star since they took my money and can’t give it back. I am disgusted at this app, it’s awful.

This is a nice all in one movie app for movie info, tickets, and even concessions. No more having to bounce around between apps.
However, I hate paying an extra $2-3 per ticket just so I can buy my tickets in an app. So I signed up for AMC's Stub subscription where you get 3 movies per month included and no online booking fees.
Atom integrates with AMC Stubs for earning points, but not the subscriptions. So it wants to charge me every time rather than knowing I get 3 movies per month included with no booking fees.
So I am forced to leave the Atom app to book my tickets in the AMC app every time. So I can only use Atom if a movie I want is not playing at any AMC theaters. (which is rare)
But perhaps AMC is blocking Atom from integrating with their subscription service, so it may not be Atom's fault.
I can’t express how much grateful I am to Atom for making my life way easier. I wanna buy a ticket? It takes me just 2 minutes to get everything done. Thank you Atom!
