Don’t even bother, this app is useless. Even with the “premium” version you can’t even edit the length of a line. Figured I would just draw up something on the iPad instead of having to mess around with the pc but no, you are left with however close you can get with your finger. You want 131.5mm, too bad, you either get to the closed 10mm or you zoom in stupid far and get like 131.48.
I’m just glad I have a student membership and didn’t pay for this, this app is just insulting.
New update ruined this app 4/5
By Mr Breeze11
Where did the smart pen go?
Where is the drawing dimensions editor?
I don’t have time to learn new UI components.
Please change it back.
Version 4.4.27 is no bueno 1/5
By another unsastisfied customer
Was enjoying the app on my iPad Pro until update to version 4.4.27. I’m sorry AutoCAD, but you messed the app up big time. I can no longer share drawings. The scale tool is unusable. Blocks are no longer available. Can’t save a drawing as a pdf file. That’s just in the first five minutes of attempted use. The app in its current form is no longer useful to me. It worked great before, Im not sure why you had to go and ruin it.
Needs more tools 4/5
I have been using AutoCAD from 2 weeks. It is a great product but needs more tools for creating blocks.
Don’t buy 1/5
It is not compatible with the 2019 AutoCAD files.
I have fat fingers and wish it would allow the use of an I pencil.
Why not put the cost upfront??? 1/5
I feel if the first dealing that I have with a developer is showed as free, and then the very next step after credentials is credit card info........we are off to a bad start, and you are not honest.
Simplified and Easy, More options for Apple Pencil would be nice 5/5
I have been using this app on the iPad Pro for the past week and its so easy to pick up and figure out the simplified settings of AutoCAD!
I like how the Apple Pencil makes it quick and easy to go from drawing to selecting and trimming. I do wish that there were double tap options for the new apple pencil that allows you to go back to the previous tool you were using (like the space bar on the full version) but maybe that will come with time.
Does this app allow you to do everything that regular AutoCad allows you to do? No. But, it is a great portable, easy to pick up and work option.
Clunky and broken 1/5
The app takes a long time to startup, upon which it cuts your music. Additionally, it has crashed every time I’ve attempted to load my linework (multiple files, different days, no other apps running).
1-star for both not doing what it’s supposed to do, and adding insult to injury by unnecessarily killing your music upon app startup.
Update Blocks Your Previous Subscription 1/5
The update now doesn’t recognize that I paid for an annual subscription through March 2020. Now AutoCAD is asking me to pay a separate subscription to them. Amateur.
Object enablers. 2/5
Civil3d object enablers should be integrated. You should be able to view civil3d objects in an autocad mobile platform even if you can not manipulate the objects.
Great tool for the veteran CAD people 5/5
As a long time AutoCAD user I find the app very useful when not parked behind my desk or when breaking out the laptop is just not convenient. Honestly I was not expecting much considering how high end CAD runs on a non workstation PC. However knowing this up front gave me a realistic expectation and I have been surprised at how well it has performed on my iPad Pro. Don’t expect it to run like your workstation and you won’t be disappointed at how well if performs and what a useful tool it is for the road warriors out there. Great tool!
AutoCAD on IPAD 2/5
I understand this is hard to conceive but if we are paying for a subscription than why can’t we get an AutoCAD LT full version on IPAD?
I want to hatch/annotate/create just like we do on laptops and desktops. Make plots/PDF’s/plot preview.
This is an AutoCAD Viewer with some creation and annotations tools.
I know autodesk can do it! Let’s get it done. Please.
Nice concept. 2/5
Tried it when they first came out and was a bit rough. It’s definitely come a long way, and still needs a bit of improvement. It’s useless if you use AutoCAD Arch other than marking deviations. It’d be nice if you could use A360 to get your drawings also than other sources. Also able to use your saved layer states already setup in the drawing.
Hard to use 1/5
I have been using autocad for 2 years and started a huge job at a factory. I convinced my work to buy me an ipad pro so I didnt have to go in and out of the office constantly to draw everything in autocad. This app doesnt have nearly enough settings or functions to be able to do that and it is very disappointing. I can barely do a simple outline of the walls without wanting to throw my ipad across the room.
The potential over promises actual performance 1/5
Just can't be counted on... Like it's desktop, its bloated.
No support, no help desk 1/5
No email link available on their support page (can't ask a question or provide feedback). So bringing it here. Autocad app grid lines disappear randomly. Toggling the grid and restarting has no effect.
Needs better integration with iOS 1/5
I had this installed on my iPad for <5 min.; if I could give it a zero rating, I would. I was looking for a .dwg viewer for some files provided for my review; I already had an Autodesk acct. so this seemed like a natural fit. The trial period is only 7 days, and for the casual user, the subscription rate is too high...one strike against it.
The biggest problem is that it doesn’t play well with any of the normal iOS infrastructure. You can’t open a file from the local iOS file system or iCloud; the only way to get a file from another app into the AutoCAD app is to transfer it through a third-party provider (Dropbox, Box, GoogleDrive, or OneDrive)...if you’re at a site with a slow connection (or no connection at all) you’re out of luck.
This app was a non-starter before I could even try to open the file.

The MAC mobile version is not bad at all!!!!
But it doesn’t talk to my laptop
Which is another version and crazy expensive. I called tot clarify prices and understanding but couldn’t get through
I left a VM a day ago and havent heard back...
I’m not an architect. Im In the event industry trying to do basic floor plans on the fly....
Better world 1/5
Very nice , could be better
Why is there no paper space? 3/5
It’s missing so many tools. It’s so close to being good. Please keep updating it and adding features.
Great ... 4/5
By JB LA
Love it , but needs more tools...
Love this App 5/5
I love using this app! Im using the premium version (monthly) and have zero complaints. It does everything I need it to do.
Good App, lacking some features 4/5
Was very excited to be able to download autocad onto my mobile devices, super portable and easy to find time to work on it. The layout is fairly good, but it lacks some crucial features that makes autocad indespensible on desktop. For a free app, awseome. But it needs improvements to be a serious drafting tool in the field.
Drawing changed on its own 2/5
I decided to try out this app for field measurements. It was great out in the field (mostly). It at least looked okay and I was able to get the measurements and text I needed to draw up back at my office. As soon as I looked at the drawing back at the office (connected to the internet) everything changed. What happened to my drawing. Why did things move and copy other places? Hopefully I can salvage the plan from memory and the dimensions that didn’t move.
Used to be difficult to create new drawing. Now it’s worse. 1/5
By Giant Brain Bug
I didn’t read the other reviews yet, but I have enough to add right now. Something is wrong with this program. I know it’s a “lite” version of the real thing, but it’s been degrading over time and I spend more time dealing with these issues than working on my actual drawing!
1) It no longer wants to object snap. Oh it comes close, but if you zoom in you’ll see it missed. Makes erasing a nightmare, makes dimensioning unreliable, and drawing a line for reference is unreliable because it’s rare to get it to snap to anything.
2) It lets my right angle drawings drift off square angles. This means I that if I draw a box with straight lines, it’s may not actually be square. Now the option to edit a vertex to an angle inside of 1 degree is a good thing, but not when I’m zoomed out and can’t possibly see this happening!
3) The app crashes. In fact when I got this “rate the app” screen, it immediately crashed! I’ve dump and reloaded it several times- no change.
I’m working on a 2018 iPad Pro. I’ve never tripped up this processor- it’s only beaten by the 2018 MacBook. It’s the app, not my hardware.
4) Doesn’t want to share the .dwg files with anyone that doesn’t have AutoCAD. What ev..
5) Never found a way to import blocks that didn’t come with a drawing sent to me. In fact I can’t find a way to import the blocks from their sample drawings into my own! So yeah, blocks. Better start with a drawing that came from an actual computer.
6) Maybe I’m a little slow, but I’ve never found a way to make anything I’ve drawn into a layer. Unless I’m editing another drawing that already had layered components.
May sound like I’m just complaining. And while this might be true, most of what I pointed out here are features “they” brag about in the description. And most of them worked when I first bought the program.
Don’t buy a premium subscription, it won’t upgrade, and no support! 1/5
Can I please have a refund? You will not help me go from FREE to Premium even though I upgraded, and you acknowledge that?!? Please refund me, I have gone through every form of support including the chat, the forum and many emails! And apple won’t give me a refund either!
New iOS update bad 1/5
Files are not viewable under new update
Zero stars should be an option. 1/5
By why do i have to do tbks
Worthless as a cad app. Barely ok as a drawing app.
Very good 4/5
By Lari smg
It is very handy
OneDrive business not working 1/5
Cool concept but OneDrive business only loads 200 items in a folder
Good for a mobile app 5/5
Obviously this isn’t going to be as powerful as the desktop client but for small simple projects it’s been very helpful.
Horrible experience. 1/5
I bought this app by mistake, I thought I was getting their 7 day free trial but no, I was willing to give it a try but IT’S NOT user friendly, I’ve used other apps in the past that are cheaper and way better than this one, after asking for a refund just an hour after I bought it, their response was a big no. Do yourself a favor and Don’t buy it.
Sure it’s sleek but it’s missing one key feature 2/5
What good is the dimension tool if i can’t edit said dimension? That’s literally the point of it, yet everytime i try ad dimension angles and lengths i tap all over yet I can’t find an option to edit the dimension. Without that feature this app is essentially useless as a CAD
Stop working 1/5
After last update the app stops working
Great app with a improvements 4/5
By Autocad user
I really like the ease of using this app, but I can’t edit or view anything I made on my computer. It also doesn’t connect to my A360 drive. Besides that, I like the mobile friendliness of its usability.
Great for my purposes 4/5
It’s a little difficult to export, but works well for marking up plans for me
Autodesk Go ON!! 5/5
Fusion 360 (desktop), AutoCad mobile - really usefull apps for last 10 years
I use it to draw electronic panels / circuits.
Never used AutoCAD before. Easy set up. Syncs cloud services easily. Great with iPad Pro (newest version as of Jan 2019). Great with Apple Pencil version 2. Was able to draw complex circuits quickly.
Metric vs. imperial 1/5
Frustrating that I cannot switch to imperial.
Good app 4/5
Once you figure how to use, it is a Very useful toot to have
3D blocks 4/5
Being able to creating 3D dynamic blocks would be very useful in many ways.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Fix the Exporting For this app!!
I cannot Easily Export it on my ipad and everytime the Drawing is not fit on the paper correctly...
Love it but needs a little more 4/5
I draw everything on my PC and attempted to detail here. unfortunately in the 2D model view you are stuck with the top view. if you switch to 3D model you lose you tools. I also noticed most the time that when i turn layers off/on i have to close the file and reopen to see the changes. I also cannot change the layers for items. the rest of the tools i havent had a problem with. I know this sounds like bad review but i think my stars show my opinion better than the verbal. just want to point out a few flaws in hopes they will be addressed.
Love it 5/5
By Average Toester
It works great as a mobile...PLEASE just add a fillet function!
GREAT APP FOR MOBILE 5/5

This AutoCAD version is great for mobile devices! Not as much features though! But
Doesn’t take that long to learn all of the mobile features!

Thanks Autodesk nice app! 5/5
I don't use this App that much however it is wonderful for looking at Dwg files and a quick sketch when your out and about. For the price "FREE" it is a wonderful app.
