Eerily accurate!!! 5/5
I am very pleased with this app. Its accuracy far exceeds my expectations. I have used AutoSleep for two weeks. Even after reading about its underlying process, I am baffled at the accuracy. My wife said there may be an AutoSleep elf watching me sleep and taking notes. From a guy who transitioned from
fitbit to apple watch, I wanted a good sleep tracker (not native on apple watch) and am so glad to have found AutoSleep.

I don’t know what happened but I used to love this app. It used to be accurate and informative. Now it doesn’t work at all. It hasn’t detected any sleep for me for days, which I know is wrong.
Understand Your Sleep 5/5
I think this is a really helpful app with helping me understand my sleep better. I also installed this on my Apple Watch and wear my watch to bed now. I’ve never had a sleep study done before, but this goes into great detail about; Quality of sleep, time slept, deep sleep, etc.
I don’t find this to be very accurate. It can certainly tell when I get into bed every night and when I get up every morning but what it can’t tell is when I fall asleep or when I wake up. Once and a while I’ll wake up in the middle of the night and lie in bed awake. Sometimes it’s an hour, sometimes a couple. Either way, this app does not know that I am awake. Only if I physically stand up does it then know I’m awake. So what is it good for? Going out drinking and wondering what time you went to bed. Now you’ll know.

I’ve been using this app for almost a full year. I trust its information and insights. It does take a little while to get used to its layout and settings, but with little effort and a little patience, it works quite well.
Personally, I want to know how many hours of sleep I received and how much of those hours were deep sleep. I also like to view the trend over the last few days to ensure that I am well-rested. This app performs all of these functions well.
If you find that it captures sleep when you were awake or wake when you were sleeping, you can easily adjust the sleep sensitivity setting. Give it a try!

Not working at all. Emailed customer support and by the second email, to me the support team seemed rude. Waste of money in my eyes. I have never had issues with any other app. They acted as if this was my first download.

I bought this app to track my sleeping habits, just as how the Fitbit tracks sleeping progressions. I have not had a day where my data was accurate. It would receive time intervals of the hours that I would have slept one particular night, and the data would be completely off.

All my dates from overseas are screwed up. I’d expect the app to just log the hours in local time but as soon as I can back home all the days recorded in a different time zone went crazy yielding multiple weeks of info totally useless.
Example: I’m in Germany and last week in US I slept from 9:30p to 3:30a — and while I’m here it appears as 4:30a to 10:30a. Of course any sleeping that is not at night is likely to fall on the wrong day.
My thinking is that the app should store local time at location of the sleeping.
Everything else I like. I use it w Apple Watch.
Seems like a great app only had it a week so we will see how it turns out

Absolutely useless. It recorded sleep times anywhere from 15 minutes to 16 hours and 35 minutes. Not even close to reality.

Like most of the world the makers gave no idea that important businesses don't shut down when they go to sleep. My only bedtime choices are between 2100 and 0000hrs. Considering that's 9an and noon for me is beyond their imagination. Who do you think needs a sleep app more? This app is useless for me and I want a refund or a rapid fix of when I can choose my sleep hour. Even day shift people go to sleep at different times. Why can't it be adjustable?

Bought this 3 days ago and already want my money back, this app basically relies on your movements and so if you turn over a couple of times in your sleep you will get a nice gap in your sleep and it will think that you have horrible sleep quality. You could adjust the data after the fact but how do I know exactly what happened during the middle of the night. No alarm on this app you have to buy another app for an alarm, which is not very well rated and I will not be buying. Stay away from this app is my recommendation.

The app was working great until recently. It's been losing pairing with the watch and/or not tracking my sleep accurately. When I try to adjust the sleep The circles aren't working correctly. This app used to be great-not sure what happened. Need a new update?

The app show approximate time of my sleeping hour . ( may be i dont wear the watch while sleeping at night ).
I do not get the feeling of complete reliable on that app.
I think it works only on tracking phone and watch movement. So if you don't use both phone and watch for a few hour although you don't sleep , it showes you are sleeping. Similarly , if you sleep while wearing the watch , but your hands are changing various position , it describes you are awake .
You can only get approximate information. Don't hope too much.
and additional , the design need to be updated . I feel it is out of date and feel like I were using iphone 4s , although mine is iphone X.

They (and apple) need a lesson on effect visual design for data apparently. Can’t stand the visualizations. Could be so much better, but they attempt to retain apples stupid donut charts. Apples workout app is so bad and the sleep app attempts to keep with the horrible theme.

Tracks my sleep very well. For a few days I thought it wasn’t tracking my sleep because no info showed up but towards the end of the day the info showed up. I got frustrated cause I didn’t like waiting all day to see my sleep info, so I looked at reviews. I saw that if you delete and reinstall the app all the information will show back up. This worked and I’ve had no problems since.

Auto sleep just works. I don’t have to do anything to have it recorded. When I want to look at how my sleep is going there are several charts to look at and I have a good idea of what’s happening. I recommended it to check your sleep.

Helped me diagnosis an underlying medical issue. With some minor corrections the following day, data is accurate (nearly identical to the sleep study data I had when I was using the app). That it tracks sleep automatically is it’s best feature. Low maintenance. High reliability. Great app.

Great for measuring your sleep in combination with the Apple Watch. I really like it and have been using it for a few months now.
My only complaint is that it seems to get unsynced somehow if you don’t open periodically. There were a few months where I was too busy to check the app and it somehow stopped measuring my sleep during that time. I don’t think this is the fault of the app, but more of Apple or my own doing so I won’t hold that against them.
When I opened it after all that time, it asked me for access to Health which tells me that it somehow lost access and that’s why it wasn’t measuring any more.
Best way to combat this is to open it every now and then and make sure it’s working as it should so you won’t be like me.

AutoSleep is the best sleep tracker I’ve tried, and I’ve tried every one available, both free and paid.
It’s much more accurate than any of the others, and while it may not offer all the fancy analysis some others do, the fancy analysis doesn’t mean anything if the underlying data is garbage.
I would have thought that the data the watch reports would be equal for all trackers but this seems not to be so.
It’s AutoSleep for me.

I like the ease of use with this app. I also like how it breaks things down. I have to admit this is the only sleep app I’ve ever used but I don’t feel the need to look elsewhere as it gives me all the information I need and then some. I never thought of deep sleep as part of quality sleep and now can see how my life choices factors into sleep such as exercise and alcohol and stress. I will continue to monitor my sleep with this app.

I love this app! I always want something that automatically tracks sleep and the amount of detail it uses is amazing!
If you’ve ever been curious to know just how much quality sleep you actually get, this is the app for you. I have to admit when my husband first got it, I couldn’t understand what the big attraction was. Then he showed me all of the features and I was more than curious as to how my sleep patterns would stack up next to his, given that he’s often up for hours during the night.
Now it’s fun- one of the first things we do in the morning is compare our stats! It’s almost like a competition - beware. It’s completely addictive.

A Really Good Sleep Tracking App 4/5
First off, let me say that I use AutoSleep with an Apple Watch, so I have no idea how well the app works by just using an iPhone alone.
Originally I gave this app just 3 stars and lamented the lack of REM sleep tracking. I also submitted the same feedback to the developer, and he reached out to me. He explained some of the science behind REM sleep tracking and how it’s nearly impossible to track using just the Apple Watch alone. It’s basically just a marketing ploy. His explanation made perfect sense, and he provided science to back up his explanation.
There’s a lot of things to like about this app, and it will give a ton of data about your sleep. Originally the information can seem a little overwhelming (something that’s being addressed in the next version), but there are tutorials to help you understand it. The science behind the data is solid. In email exchanges with the developer, it is obvious he is well-versed in sleep tracking science. I fully trust the data this app provides. The app tracks deep vs restless sleep- valuable information that can you can use to get a better night’s sleep. The app also has great integration with the developer’s HeartWatch app as well, so you can track your heartbeat while you’re asleep.
I highly recommend this app- it’s the best sleep tracking out there for Apple Watch and it keeps getting better.
