Too far left 1/5

I was always told that Journalist report, not create news. Just got fed up with opinions filling the front pages where news was previously published; your editors just forgot to keep their opinions on the editorial page. Look beyond your hollow walls, your profession is most deserving of being labeled distrusting bottom feeders. I guess this is a good time to remind you that the only value your printed paper is as “fish wrapping”. I’d like to find a similar use for your electronic copy!
Not well maintained 2/5
For a news service this site is not updated news wise very often. Head lines and links stay at the top even though they are days or even weeks old.
Cut back on the notifications! 2/5
App itself is fine...that said, there are *way* too many unnecessary story notifications.
I don’t need an alert telling me “Sun City West couple says Epcor billed them for 99,000 gallons of water they didn't use” (June 26th).
I don’t mind getting alerts on critical issues or emergencies, but let’s not overdo it.
No login, no subscription 1/5
This iPad app is terrible. It doesn’t give you a login page and it doesn’t allow you to stay logged in. It won’t recognize my iPad because my Apple ID is not my email. No phone number to call for help either! Don’t subscribe! Don’t waste your time unless you like being frustrated.
Great app for Arizona news 5/5
Reflects Unfavorably On Arizona 1/5
Repetitive stories. Do readers need to call your attention to the use of the same stories over and over? They are repeated on the site on the same day and then again on subsequent days. Writing and editing is very poor. Take the name of the state off the site. Using it on the site reflects poorly on Arizona.
I've tried and tried 1/5
Worst account management online experience ever. I've tried everything to make the digital account work. I've even called several times and entered my information more times than I can count. I really want a subscription but I am not happy that AZ Central can't seem to make it work.
Horrible customer service. 1/5
Paid for the app and still haven’t been able to use it after a month of trying to contact.
Stupid pop-ups and subscribing 1/5
The site used to be much better then Gannett got creepy and started flooding viewers with pop-up ads and force you to subscribe. Rather use another site.
Love my AZC! 5/5
Love getting the news when I want it.
Good News 5/5
This is Great News. Journalism matters.
Does not work consistently 1/5
Whenever I try to change anything its either down or doesn’t go through. It is very frustrating. It’s down right now. Wont let me sign in.
To keep abreast of breaking news or to just explore more about our metro happenings AZCENTEAL.COM is my go to App.
App keeps crashing 1/5
App keeps crashing. I uninstalled it and reinstalled the app in case I had some weird bug. Now I can’t log in. I just see a white screen. I am on an iPad. I am a web subscriber not an app subscriber. Heck.
Can’t sign in 1/5
By Jake Landsiedel
Can’t sign in, get “white screen of death”
This app is laid out perfectly for a summary of local AZ news & happenings. The daily news is presented uin a logical, easy to read manner.
The top stories usually don’t appeal to me and I have to dig to get the news I want.
Hard to use, poor interface 3/5
By Doc Sue home
I find this app hard to use with the port interface. I constantly get blocked out when I go off the page and then try to return. Not worth the monthly fee.
By Mr. Ad Man
Enjoy the app, but why are you taking up space posting the Super Bowl results six weeks after the game? Anyone who cares knows who won. No longer “news. “
Ax Central 5/5
By aliso bill
Easy way to keep up with local news.
Customer Service; lack of, non-existent 1/5
By this system sucke
Do not get trapped in the “30 day free trial.” I have tried to look on the website to cancel, and there is no way to do it. When you call, there is no prompt for the digital side, and you get the home delivery side, and their systems don’t sync together. I was on hold for 10-23 minutes, 5 times. I emailed their customer service contact with all the above information, and get basically a form letter saying I can’t cancel by email, and to call customer service. UNBELIEVABLE!!

Sad excuse for news. 1/5
I am deleting this app because of the amount of fake news that appears as advertising. The lies and spam that appear is horrible.
This app’s nonsense logins are illogical 2/5
Unable to get my Account info via the AZ Central app 2/5
I tried several days and kept getting the error “unavailable at this time”. I’m on hold right now for 42 minutes and counting, to speak with a representative.
This app is terrible. 1/5
This app is terrible. It routinely locks me out of my account, and the content is out of date. The sports section has had the same lead story on the Cardinals for over two months. If there was another good source for AZ news I would be done w this.
Worst service in every way possible.
Flooded with ads and limited stories 1/5
It’s very annoying that you flood the app with ads if you do not pay for a subscription while limiting the amount of stories you can read each month. Why limit the amount of stories when there are ads all over the place? On top of that, there have been several instances where the monthly limit does not reset in a new month. Will uninstall in favor of other local news outlets that do not have monthly limits.
Nice news app 4/5
Good app for local AZ & national news. Keep up the good work!
All ads and underdeveloped user flow 1/5
Whether on the app or the website you’ll be overwhelmed by constantly flow of ads. The app is glitchy pertaining to user flow and user friendliness. Furthermore, the articles are often poorly written.
Great up to date daily news!
Requires subscription to read stories. 1/5
I used to enjoy reading AZ Central. But, now it requires a subscription to read stories. Not a great app.
Scrolling is very disjointed since the last update 2/5
Scrolling in the text window is very halting and especially bad at the ads. The texts jumps up and back down. This makes it almost useless
Decent but 3/5
By Noah Horowitz
App no longer allows capability to print up an article. Get tired of looking at small cellphone screen or sometimes want hardcopy. Used to be able to do this.
Don’t waste your time 1/5
The repugnant now feels they can charge when you use to get 100 stories per month free. Goodbye!
Since you have decided to place restrictions on the stories two paragraphs in, you’re app is being deleted from my phone.
A Little balance 1/5
.....would be nice. The Az Republic is a joke since being taken over by USA Today. Constant Anti-Trump,Anti-GOP,Anti-Conservative. Montini,Goody-pants and Linda (La Raza) Valdez are radical Conservative haters and should be avoided by anyone seeking commentary not tinged by hate for anyone who doesn’t subscribe to there radical worldview. Such sad people. Why do I subscribe? To follow my sports teams.( Although Greg Moore wallows in the same swamp as those mentioned above). And if you ignore their subscription pleas long enough they’ll pretty much offer it to you free. So desperate! Ha,ha! MAGA!
Nice Try 4/5
By belligerent always
Thanks for trying to even the playing field politically, but you’ve got some real Trump hating writers. That’s why I don’t read The Republic. Sticking up for McCain & Flake only makes it worse. Nice local news coverage, sports, & food reviews.
AZ Republic on life support ... 1/5
The Republic is dying and is a victim of mediocrity and unenthusiastic reporting. The newspaper watched while Arpaio terrorized LATINOS for 24 years. There were no Pulitzer’s for courageous writing during that time. Instead, Phoenix burned while the Republic reporters schmoozed with Arpaio.
Trash bias rag 1/5
By MU Fiji
Not worth lighting a fire with.
ONE SIDE DOES NOT FIT ALL... 1/5
I am so sick of EJ, Benson and the like...I cannot read a publication that delivers opinions over the news...If you want to be an Opinion Publication at least endeavor to be balanced...Otherwise, change your name to “Arizona Opinion"...!
By cannot send
Awful. Cannot suspend delivery online. Very amateurish.
An absolute cesspool of ads. 1/5
Being a paid subscriber doesn’t help. Complete garbage.
Nobody updates the news 1/5
By waste of time 2018
Just installed this app. One of the top 3 headlines is “McCain wins ‘08 GOP nomination. Great news - only ten years out if date.
Why would I want to pay for news I could get elsewhere? I thought I’d try to show some loyalty being a native, but the content is not exclusive enough to warrant a monthly subscription. Better news apps out there.
Very one sided views 1/5
By K Bur
The political bias of this organization is disgusting. What a rag. The same left leaning insight on every story gets old real fast. Even my liberal out of state friends can only say “Wow” and shake their heads when reading the Az Republic while visiting.
It’s a shame the metro area of Phoenix does not have a print media that just reports the unbiased facts and lets the consumer decide. The Arizona Republic is a perfect example of why the media in this country is not taken seriously.
Hometown Source 4/5

AZ Central-excellent source of Valley wide news without a subscription fee
Enjoy & share periodic AZ Historical articles & photos that can be share
Keep up the good reporting
Need a subscription 1/5
All of a sudden I can’t read any articles unless I pay for the $8.99 subscription...no thanks! I’ll get me news from other sources
Concise, local coverage 5/5
Love this app to get a quick roundup of what’s happening around the Valley on those days when I don’t have time to watch the news
