  • What happened to the updates? 2/5

    I don’t know why the app was updated from the previous design. It used to be easy for me to see when my dog had last been to the vet, when he needed to be scheduled for another visit, and when he was due for vaccines. This version doesn’t do any of that. I don’t know what problem this new design was solving for, but it seems to me that it created issues where there were none before. Please change this to make it easy for users to see when their pet is due for services.

    I want to love this app, but there are just so many features that you still need to log in to banfield.com to utilize. To me, that’s a waste. I want the app to replace the website, not to be used in addition to it. I would increase my rating to 5 stars if the app included the DNA profile status and the flea/tick/heart worm/dental tracker from the website- that’s the most useful feature to me.

    Seriously every time I close the app, I am logged out and the fingerprint sign in option becomes disabled. It is so insanely annoying. Tired of having to type my password every time when I should be able to stay logged in or at least have the fingerprint working. Please fix this.

    I’ve never had an issue with Banfield but your app needs some serious work. Everything rarely loads on the screen. When you make an appointment through the app it takes at least 4 tries before it actually schedules it. Like don’t waste your time with the app. Just use your web browser.

    Good app if you can get into it but I rarely ever can get past logging in. The app is too quick to lock you out if you enter login info incorrectly. Even if only one wrong attempt is made, it locks you out for an indeterminate amount of time. Experienced on multiple devices.

    The Banfield wellness plan is a great plan to have. With that being said, everything else about it is pretty trash. First of all the app is not easy to use and the mobile website is even worse. Specifically when it comes to payment. For starters they only let you sign up for auto pay. Which isn’t so bad until you can’t make a payment or there is an issue with billing and the they charge you a TWENTY DOLLAR late fee. To put that into perspective that is a little less than half of what my plan costs and if I chose not to get the heart warm pill and only had the basic plan that 20 dollar late fee would be 2/3 the cost of the monthly bill. Now this wouldn’t be an issue if you could just sign on and pay the bill before the due date. But it’s not that simple. 1) They don’t have any notification reminders of this being due and oh wait I forgot 2) you can’t even pay your bill on the app?! And 3) to pay your bill early online you have to go through sign in, account, manage payment, than scroll down until you find the make a payment option, than it redirects you to another site and makes you put in your card information again. Overall the process is not user friendly and to me its pretty obvious that it’s a good way for them to make an extra 20 bucks for late fees a month.

    The 24/7 chat line with a real vet is great. You’re able to refer to the chat when the online session is over. You are able to see your dogs bloodwork, vet visit information and grooming dates. This is a no brainer app for dog owners.

    When I heard about this app, I was excited to use so I could check my cat’s records, and then heard about the vet chat feature. Well I downloaded this app the 1st time, and could not log in, tried twice and on 3rd, got locked out. I use voiceover, and sometimes it’s not easy logging in on websites or apps. Now just tried again, and again, locked out. Want to use this app, and can’t really rate it, because never used it.

    Would’ve given 4 stars if I didn’t have the login issue. It allows you to choose Touch ID (oh iPhone) to sign in, but every time I exit the app and return I have to manually type in username and password and then asks if I’d like to use Touch ID for logging in next time, again, but never actually lets you login using Touch ID. Will update rating once they fix this issue, otherwise pretty handy app with all the info I need of my pet!

    I am constantly having questions about my pets and being able to just open my phone and chat with a vet via text, (you know us millennials hate talking on the phone) it’s just so convenient and the staff is always super nice and has helped me so many times during a freak out with my pets. Highly recommend for anyone!

    I’ve been a client for many years and have trusted the staff of Banfield. However, the app has given me more headaches and grief than I care to deal with. I’ve even contacted support and didn’t get anywhere. The app worked for a second and then it looses all my info, pet’s info, log in info; can’t email me a password reset... list goes on. I hope glitches can get smoothed out bc this would be a great tool.

    I would love to be able to actually log into this app to use it but it never recognizes my username and password. I can log in on the website so I know I’m typing in everything correctly, but no matter what I do I always get an error message from this app and then my account gets locked. I’ve reset my password multiple times and still it never works. I’ve tried using my username and full email address but it still says there is an error. It is highly frustrating and makes this app totally worthless.

    App allows for fingerprint ID to log in, but new iPhones don’t have fingerprint scanning. Update to allow facial scan and it would be great.

    We have used Banfield Clinics all over the state of Texas! We have moved a few times, since we have had Bear, the past 4 years. We left the Carrolton area in December of 2018 for North Richland Hills. There are plenty of vets around here including a few Banfield clinics. Our family, especially Bear fell in love with the front staff, the vet techs, Dr Martin & Dr Bell. There was one vet tech in particular who got down on the floor to all Bear to check her out and make him feel comfortable. It didn’t take my big Pit Bull baby long (maybe 45 seconds to a minute to fall in love)! Next thing we knew he was sitting down her lap like and child would. Just confirms my gut feeling that he doesn’t realize he’s a dog. He used to never go in back with the lab tech in Grand Prairie or Mansfield. I would have to walk him back there in that (employee only) get him comfortable and then walk away. The vet tech in Carrolton named Amanda earner his trust and would follow her anywhere. So we still drive from North Richland Hills to Carrolton to get his health care. We move that Carrolton family. Unfortunately, we learned here recently Amanda and her man have moved to Colorado, the only positive is she’s still at Banfield in Colorado. Amanda Bear misses you so much. The Banfield Carrolton team gets an All-Star team in my eyes!

    Love Dr. Scott! Great care! I’m very comfortable at the Taylor Park location every time I have gone. Even dropping Billie off during the coronavirus visit, I was comfortable leaving her. Thank you for your loving care for my girl.

    I use Facebook to login to the app and as of a few weeks ago when I try to login to my account it gives me a Facebook login implementation error. I hope you fix this soon as I no longer have a way to access my account.

    This used to be a great app. After whatever update they did with it, it seems much less user-friendly. I can’t check on my dog’s Wisdom Panel anymore, which was something I liked to do on occasion to remind me of all of his breeds. The app is also much less aesthetically pleasing. Why did it change?

    I’m not sure if I’m the only person who has this problem but I am unable to login the app. I have tried so many times with no success. After 3 failed attempts it makes me reset my account which still hasn’t solved the problem. I have no issues logging in on my laptop so it is obviously an issue with the app. I have contacted support which they reset my account twice. After I told them that wasn’t the issue, they stopped replying to me. I would just like to be able to use this app.

    Older app was easier to locate bloodwork as it was all kept together under labs. Now I have to go back through each appt to look at it. Weigh chart is static. I need to be able to compare his weight over a few months to adjust meds. The new app shows me his entire life on one graph and I can’t zoom in.

    I really liked the older version of this app (~a year ago) because I could create notes in the Pet Journal to track how often my dog was vomiting. And then share these easily with the vet during appointments. In the new version, you can still access old journal entries, but they cannot be edited and worst of all, YOU CANNOT CREATE NEW ENTRIES. The instructions in the app say to use the journal to keep track of things, but there's no way to create a new entry. We don't need "photo editing" software in a pet health app....we need the ability to keep track of heath notes! Come on people....

    With the new update every time I want to check something in my account I have to enter my email and password, I use to be able to log in with my fingerprint. I have set this option several time in the app but it won’t save. Hopefully this can get fix soon Update 03/7/2020 Problem was fix with the new update. Thank you

    It’s happened to me two or three times now. I try to use the app to schedule my appointments and I get the confirmations saying that they have been scheduled. Then the day comes and I arrive at my appointment only for them to say that they don’t have anything in there system. The app is convenient to keep track of your pets but not to schedule to get anything done. I recommend calling to schedule.

    I love my dog! He is elderly and had some health issues in the past. So if he is off I get very concerned very quickly. This app makes it so easy to ask my little questions 24/7 and it’s easy to make appointments. So grateful to have this!

    1. Scheduled an appointment successfully (supposedly) through the app but didn’t get a confirmation email nor is it reflecting on the desktop website. Attempted to schedule the appointment again but this time through the desktop site and that worked. Going back into the app, nothing appears now for scheduled visits. 2. Bugs with adding new pets. Seems to be an issue when a photo is added in the process and results in an “Internal server error.” 3. “Add to calendar” button do anything after successfully scheduling an appointment

    I love the app because you can view pet records and payments; As well as, schedule office visits. I would like to see a change in the app that will allow me to see the diagnosis as well as the medications prescribed during the visit. Currently the only way to see some of this is by selecting the time line. Unfortunately, you do not see the office visit notes that our made part of the record.

    Two weeks ago my cat got the sniffles and I scheduled an appointment using the app. It told me the next few appointments available at my location, I selected one, it told me it was scheduled and even added it to my calendar. Before the appointment rolled around she seemed much better so I went on the app to see if I could cancel the appointment. It said there were no scheduled appointments. This week she started having symptoms so I went through the scheduling process again, making sure it said I was done and it was automatically put on my calendar. I checked the next day and it said no appointments were scheduled. I called Banfield and they had no record of her appointment and didn’t seem at all concerned that the app wasn’t working. I would not have been happy if I had shown up and was turned away.

    This app is a waste of my time. I can never schedule an appointment. I’ll be at the screen to select the date and every time I update which day, the open dates never show options. They office availability changed every time too. Terrible app.

    App is very easy. I like that you have option dates, times and stores to pick from. Great if you have to see a Vet immediately. When Calling the store if they are busy they tend to not pick up the phone right away.
