I am glad I can see balance of my FSA, managed by third party anyway, but where is balance of my deductibles, managed by BCBS? Really???
And reading developers replies to customers reviews: all copy-pasted. Using bots to answer your customers? Really????

This app has bug. Description: password requirement differs from the requirement on Web application. It should be consistent.
Apps is incompatible and has different password requirements than the website. Try to login using app. Receive error message the password must have special character. Fine.. so I log on to website (with existing password that does not have special characters) and follow process to change password so that I can have a p/w with special characters. Wrong. The website gives an error message that special characters are not allowed for passwords? Really? How did this pass quality assurance? So app is now useless.

I have two blue cross insurances and they are tied to the same email. No problems logging in on the browser, which asks for NO special characters in the password. Can’t log into either account on the app, even if I try to re-register, maybe because it asks for special characters? Can we get on the same page?
Horribly designed app. Incompatible with their own website. Website asks for a password with letters and numbers but no spaces or special characters. App asks for a password with a special character! WHO DESIGNED THIS?? Cant have two different passwords for the same account. Can’t log into app but can log into standard website. Ridiculous.

UPDATE #2: still useless. Still not integrated with web login. Still provides no useful functionality other than digitizing my card. How much left on deductible amount, who knows? Benefits list, what's that? Family members covered, who knows, not this app. At least my PCP is listed now, I guess that's a step forward. Glad my money is going to good use.
UPDATE: still useless. Can't use website login to log in to app, have to create a separate username/password. Could this place be more technically incompetent.
Already have login/password, why can't I use it? Why not list my benefits? Why not list my PCP info? Why not allow me to submit form info (I.e. Gym) through app? Fairly useless app.

... to where it is today? Huge improvement. We all know healthcare is just joining the digital revolution so this is some mighty strides from what I was trying to use last year.
This app was garbage before, and it is garbage again. It makes you create an account all over again. You go through the tedious task and it says you were successful. Oh, but wait! You cant log in! That user name and password combo does not exist. Ok, lets try to register again. Username and password combo already exist. Oh really? Then why cant I log in for the 800th time? Cant even log on the actual website. Same problems, different app. Useless!!!

Once you register, you should have to find the button to log in. The app should open asking for the fingerprint immediately. Also, if my husband is the primary for our family, why can’t he view my information too? Only our children's information pops up on the list of members. I know it isn’t a privacy issue because he has total access on Express Scripts. This is annoying. Fix the convenient crash that happens every time I try to open the one claim that was “denied.” C’mon! Nobody likes insurance companies. You would think that you all would work as hard as you can to make this user friendly and lessen your members’ frustration and blood pressure!
Don’t make any sense that we have to create a new account just to use the app I would need a new email just because I’m already registered..

This app has yet to function correctly. It’s an absolute headache. I’ve tried restarting and reinstalling the app and it never works. I can’t even login.
Worst registration process got worse 1/5
This app is horrible. In the old version I only manage to get access after 5 attempts and 2 calls to customer service. It was horrible. Now there is a new version and they are making every make NEW accounts.
So far I’d tried 4 times and it fails every time. Tells me my email address is invalid. Come on! It’s the same email I was already using on my last account. Do they think I don’t know what my own email address is? Simply awful.
Why can’t the app use the website accounts which work just fine?
So after getting a developer response I tried logging in again and the app gets even worse. Previously it wouldn’t let me register because it said my email address was invalid. Now it won’t let me register because it says that email address is already registered! It suggests using the password reset option, but when I put my email and other details in there it just gives an error and says info can not be found.
Honestly this is one of the worst account registration snafus ever.

When I first installed the app it crashed constantly, but after reinstalling twice it works well. I think it's a good improvement over the previous version. Must have just been a bad installation.

As soon as you get through the new registration (which is not easy - you have to create a new account), the app works really well. It has all my recent doctor visits, my bills, etc - I really like it! Make sure to use Touch ID - saves you time next login.

Requires a different login than the web site. No Apple Wallet support, but you can download PDF files of your cards.
What I wanted: My family cards in Apple Wallet, one-click access to cards and statements, rarely a “find a doctor” search. That’s it. Anything else is just in the way.
What I found: 1 out of 3.
Lengthy create-a-login process should be done at home before you need to use anything. They didn’t make it clear this needs a separate username and password from your insurance provider’s web site. This should at least be stated on the login page.
The “create a login” procedure rejected a password that was too long with an incorrect error message that I hadn’t met the recipe, when in fact I had.
They don’t integrate with Apple Wallet. I can’t emphasize enough that this is where I expect any identity cards to be stored. Now I have to put them in Notes as PDF files. We have a place for this kind of thing, and it’s in Apple Wallet.
The rest of the app is an otherwise usable Safari web view, but I’d prefer an app that at least did what I expected it to, and not just opened a web browser to a URL. I already have a web browser if I want a 3 step login process.
Great app. Honestly I didn't think the last one was that bad but this new updated one is very user friendly. Easy to read and navigate through. Thank you bcbs!!

I can’t use this app at all anymore after the latest update. When I try to create a new account (which is required in the update, even though I’ve used this app before) it tells me that my email is invalid. My email! I use it for everything else, and it is definitely valid. Oh well, I guess I’ll just save a picture of my insurance card to my phone instead.

Same grievance as others here: I already have a password for the web site and don’t want to manage another one. Plus, my info “doesn’t match our records” so I couldn’t sign in.
Poor Design and Registration Process 1/5
This is essentially a web application (looks like a native app but is just a portal to their website).
I already have a login creates through the website why do I need to create a brand new login with new password to access my information via this application? (Two logins one for website one for this app).
Several broken features 1/5
Publisher should consider taking app down. Don’t publish an app with features that are in process. You want to be agile internally, fine. But don’t publish it. The following features do not work, and may be worse off since the “bug fixes” release:
1. The spending button prominently at the bottom takes you to an error that says balances are not available.
2. The messages and alerts had a red circle and number indicating I have an alert message. But it said it cannot complete request. Clicking a bunch of times eventually brought it up, so I guess just have to know that you have 10% chance.
3. Find a doctor opens a web page rather than the app. Results are inaccurate and partial. It does not include nurse practitioners which are often the main face you see in a primary clinic and know by name.

The only thing app does is provide copy of your card and (when it’s working) list of claims. No info on deductibles. Really useless.
Can't paste password, password limited, why do I even need yet another account? Notifications won't dismiss, app randomly can't connect and won't even load, even after a force quit.

Buggy app and bad customer service
Can't paste passwords. Can't log in with existing account. Can't use passwords longer than 10 characters. Pain to use. Easier to carry the card around.

One of the annoying things of this app is it doesn't allow you to paste a password from your password manager, and each time you try multi task all de previous info gets deleted. A bad joke for a expensive service

Why do they need another registration?, it crashes and I have to delete it after several frustrating attempts, a bad design. I have seen great apps by Blue Cross in other states, why can't they come up with a similar one for Massachusetts? Not surprisingly I see very few reviews, most with very poor ratings.
Simple, easy to use, giving me the info I need when I need it! Thank you Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mass!

This app is perfect for someone like me. I keep a light wallet and never have the right card handy. I wasn't sure how I would use this app until I was at the urgent care and didn't have my ID card. They used the info from the app and I had no problems. I also got to look at prior medications when my doc asked about recent meds. Very helpful in the go!

Still no way to login if you have an existing account.
I can't even register. When I enter my credentials to sign up it won't let me submit the information to use the app. BCBS should deal with this problem ASAP. I'm staying away until it's resolved.
