The app itself feels outdated and clunky. Too much of the screen is spent on toolbars that won’t leave, there are ads (which is ridiculous I’m on this app to spend money or find stuff to go buy. Monetizing me is ridiculous) and the search engine is pretty much the worst I’ve ever used. I don’t know if they just have lousy prediction algorithms but it managed to mess up everything I searched until I just resorted to typing 5 to 6 keywords.
I’d be open to believing I’m just lousy at searching, but Amazon, Walmart and countless other apps have been able to understand me just fine. So why did the BestBuy app offer me 30 different iPhone 7s payment plans when my search was “aux to lightning cord”?
It’s absurd, as a mediocre programmer myself I’m appalled a development team got paid to make this.

I have Gamers Club Unlocked and with that when I’m searching video games, it’s supposed to automatically adjust the prices to the discount prices by default. Since the resent update, it no longer does that.
Another annoying thing I’ve came across is that when you search for something and scroll down, exit the app and go back to it. The app scrolls you all the way up to the top. Which may sound petty, but when you’ve been scrolling down for like 5 minutes it becomes quiet frustrating.

Credit card functions are buried within the app. Can’t access information at times. Way too slow. Not very intuitive. Very disappointed with this application.

Weekly Ad 1/5
All I want to do is read the weekly ad just as if I had the hard copy in my hands. It won't let you even see the Weekly Ad option unless you activate location sharing. Then, once you do finally get to the ad it's done in line item format, not page by page or PDF. Deleted.

I really enjoy the convenience of shopping at home and picking up at the store. With 2 kids under 2 yrs old it’s hard to get out to shop.
Gamers club discount no longer showing 2/5
Since the recent update my gamers club discount is no longer showing from any page of a game. I have to add the game to my cart, and view the cart to see the discount. Please fix this is rather annoying to have to do all of these extra steps to view the gamers club discount.

Sorting by price is gone and when you look for something it always shows the most expensive version first which makes you work to get the “best buy”
New Update is bad 1/5
The new update and facelift have made the app extremely slow. I can attempt to search and the app will do nothing, load nothing. Then I’ll navigate back to the home screen and magically the app will pretend to load my search query but is so slow I end up shopping on another app. Also, the colors are horrible who approved it?

Best Buy’s GCU was my best and favorite alternative besides Amazon’s prime horrendous game service but since Best Buy has discontinued their GCU there is no longer any reason for me to remain a loyal customer. Good job, Best buy for throwing away 20 years of my life and money away as a loyal customer.

This latest version of the app is visually appealing and intuitive to navigate. If it actually functioned then I’d probably rate it 5 stars... As is, however, it is south of mediocrity and just above garbage. The checkout function doesn’t work for me with BestBuy pay or Visa checkout and the shopping cart is totally dysfunctional. I couldn’t leave any app feedback either which is likely that way on purpose. At least the annoying pop-up chat help doesn’t work correctly either. Nice job BestBuy 😑

The Best Buy app works fairly well and it gets better with the updates. It has become much easier to go through the My Best Buy Profile and find what you need.

This has always been a really nice app. For some reason, they felt the need to completely redesign it. The new design is so ugly. The app icon is horrible. The shade of blue they chose for the background of the app hurts my eyes to look at. Too bad. The old design was great.

Good news: app finally runs at native resolution on iPad Pro.
Bad news: it’s just the phone interface stretched out across the large screen, the ultimate in lazy app development. What a shame.

App products won’t open when you touch one, just have these lines that move up and down and nothing happens. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but didn’t help.

The app doesn’t support basic features like Apple wallet passes. It take 4 taps (one of them on a hidden button) and one internet loading screen to get to the user’s store pass. This should have an add to wallet button there, but lacks this basic feature.
Notifications are all or nothing. Users can’t opt out of marketing pushes.

I can’t even see what tv I’m looking at... when someone comes in to a store and has the app up how is the sales person going to know what tv they are looking at? 43” LG. Wonder how many of those there are? At least 4 but the app won’t tell me which I’m looking at. Please add models back to the app!

I know most statements saying anything is the best or the worst of anything are gross exaggerations typically. But I'm being quite literal when I say this new icon is one of the ugliest app icons I've ever seen. It looks like it was made in a 1995 version of MS Paint in about 10 seconds. How intoxicated did someone have to be to delude themselves into thinking this was worth paying anyone to produce. I know it's just an icon, but this shows an alarming lapse of judgement.

App Update Broke Apple Pay and PayPal 1/5
So apparently BB has seen the need to change everything and in doing so has completely broken my ability to use Apple Pay in the app for store pickup and for PayPal. So when I attempt to use Apple Pay, even though the info is exactly the same on my Apple and Best Buy accounts, it says “pickup contact incorrect” when I try to pay. I’ve triple-checked the address info. Then I tried PayPal, which apparently the BB app can’t handle when you have 2FA turned on in your PP account. And to top it all off, when I try to log on the Web, for the 5th or 6th time now the Web site says my password is wrong. The same password I just used after deleting and reinstalling my BB app on my iPhone. And the password worked in the app. BB obviously has no clue how to make changes without completely breaking the customer experience. Nice new font for the “Best Buy” name, though, I guess.
