We need to learn something every day and Blinkist makes it fun and easy.
Beware! Exploits the App Store subscription system 1/5
I decided to give this a try with the 7 day trial. So I set a reminder 6 days later to make sure to disable the auto-subscription.
6 days later I go into the buried iPhone settings to discover the app had auto-renewed for an entire year at $65. No way to cancel or refund or even switch down to a monthly option.
It’s an awful system that developers like this are exploiting. Stay away.
Poor service 1/5
I have been trying to cancel the free trial and the subscription for 3 days. The information you sent does not get me to the path to cancel all service. I have asked you to drop my free trial, all I get is a web site that gets me to a closed loop with no results. On that basis I would never recommend using this app. To anyone.
Please cancel my free trial and the subscription
Essentially scammed!!! 1/5
Free trial didn’t work at all (couldn’t access any of the content) so I assumed it hadn’t even gone through. Then I got notified that I got automatically enrolled into the YEARLY trial that cost SEVENTY DOLLARS. Asked for a refund and they said to take it to apple. Apple didn’t offer a refund. This is a complete scam. Also I’m pretty sure these reviews are fake there’s no way all these people signed up for this trash.
Not worth the money 1/5
I want to be contacted immediately by this developer. They have made the cancellation process complicated and time consuming. I am very disappointed in the presentation and the presenters. Not worth the money and I feel roped in. CANCEL MY 7 DAY TRIAL.
Makes it easier to stay on top of reading and being consistent. Easy to use and applicable breakdowns.

I love this everyday free a book to read and listen to thing.
Love nonfiction, while it’s authors opinionated, Everyday some good things to hear.
Good Overviews! 5/5
This App is an excellent source for getting the gist of books and keeping to the main points while still keeping key details. I was wondering what they did when shortening books that I read in full and they did an excellent job. Highly recommend!
Would not recommend 1/5
I had a problem with my subscription, still not sure what the issue was. I emailed blinkist tech support three times over the span of the week regarding my subscription and charges, however the company never replied. I would not recommend at all, I now will have to call the bank to get assistance since blinkist failed on this regard.
My opinion 4/5
It would’ve been nice to have a comment section on each book or even on every chapter of the book, so to discuss with other readers/listeners about the content.
It's the best summery app in the market
Great for driving or doing chores 5/5
This app is great because it allowed me to learn a bunch of different topics while remaining hands free. I used it while walking my dog, washing and cleaning my car, cooking, and driving to and from work. It is super easy to use, and it’s suggestions are really intuitive. Blinkist has a lot of different topics too, I used it primarily for mind hacks like psychology, self motivation, and history.
Blinkist delivers 5/5
By Leesa GA
I often put things off that I love due to the busyness of my life. It is a challenge to stay current on the latest trends in leadership, entrepreneurship, and creativity. My husband recommended Blinkist! What a FIND! I love that I can read (or listen to) a synopsis of the latest books in no time. The library is extensive. The selections and key ideas are exactly what I need to stay encouraged and inspired.
My favorite app 5/5
By A manly MD
This app has supercharged my exposure to so many important and interesting ideas that I would never have exposure to otherwise. I recommend it to everyone, because there are plenty of blinks that everyone would enjoy and benefit from, whether one uses the paid or the free version.

This App is littered with great writers with a motive of MAKING MONEY. Every book has a padlock and that padlock is money. No room for the less privileged.
It’s expensive for me so I can only listen to daily free episodes which are great 🙏🏻
App review update. 4/5
By Meigo M
My original review:
Did this app change or go away?
I’m sure the answer is buried somewhere in email but did this app change from 1 free a day to only a subscription base app? I can never get in more than one a day and didn’t want to buy into $80 a year. I like the free books sometimes..... what up app peeps?
My new review:
Turns out I was having a software problem on my device. I love this app and look forward to a bit of education any day I can. Thanks for reaching out App Peeps it shows you care.
Simple Powerful Time Saver 5/5
This is an amazing App that gives access to top reads and cutting edge authors and experts in a blink of an eye! Helps me determine if investing my time and $$ in reading the entire book is worth it. And if I just want to get the nuts and bolts of a concept or trend—this App is indispensable. Thank you, Blinkist!! I’m a user for life.
I’d give up my Netflix subscription for this 5/5
I love Netflix. When I say that I don’t say it lightly, Netflix is everything for me. However, if I had to choose between this app and Netflix, I would choose Blinkist in a heartbeat. THAT’S how good it is
Great way to squeeze quality reads in each day! 5/5
I struggle to find time to read or dig deep into books these days. Blinklist allows me to digest brief snippets across a wide section of topics and can sometimes give me the push I need to read something new. I am so happy I found this app!
What a valuable service! 5/5
By Unstuck Living
I read selections from Blinkist when I’m waiting for a client, if I need inspiration or just for the fun of it. The reviews stimulate my thinking and broaden my horizons. Many thanks to Blinkist!
Amazing way to review and learn 5/5
So many books I want to read. Audible was helping, YouTube was also helping, but this made it so much easier. Most of the blinks do a great job summarizing the best points and big ideas. Even books I have read and wanted to review are done really well.
Awesome service, but I have two issues... 4/5
Awesome service, but I have two issues with it. One being that I can not see my highlights previously done on android on iOS, second that it doesn’t support Apple Pen 2 for selecting the text!!!
If you maximize time, this is for you 5/5
I made a goal this year to read more, but along the way, I read a few books that didn’t end up being very good. I was wasting time on books that weren’t good. Blinkist not only has good books, but you can get the just of them so quickly, you won’t waste time. If time is important to you, this is an easy purchase.
Blinkist app 5/5

Love it. Gives me enough to decide if I want to actually buy the book...mostly I get enough from listening to the each point
I enjoyed the book summary, having it read provides a chance to relax and hear information about a topic that I wouldn’t normally hear. It’s an opportunity to continue lifeline learning in a fun, imaginative way.
Nice app. Costs too much. 4/5
Nice app. Costs too much.
$90 a year 1/5

Great way to build momentum back to the avid reader you once were before The Internet.

Free app costs $120 to use!
All Blinkist 5/5
By Dover Dan
Love the varied subjects and concise summary of ideas in Blinkist- great for my lifestyle now
Really. Darn. Good. 5/5
This is really one of the few apps that really gets things right. Sure, $15/month is expensive for subscription services these days, but if you subscribe for a year, it’s <$9/month. And for that, you get access to a ton of knowledge put together by professional notetakers who do a great job skipping the bs without making the reading dry or not worth reading. And I’m exaggerating, they’re not notes either, it’s a short version of the book with only the important parts that make you sound smart in cocktail parties... oh and real life too.
What I love most about this is that you can easily take notes on the notes. Like... you can sync it up with your Evernote account and they beautifully manage your notes. You can also send content directly to your kindle which I particularity enjoy reading on.
My only complaint is that highlighting isn’t as easy on the iPad app as the kindle app. You have to select the text first and then click “highlight” whereas in the kindle app you put your finger down for a sec before sliding your finger over text. Though now that I think about it both are two step processes. If it’s possible to make highlighting easier... do it. I love highlighting.
Thanks a lot guys. You did a darn good job with this one and you got me to subscribe on the first day without cancelling.
Basic Version=Good Pro=Inane Price 5/5
For free, this app gives enough for 5 stars in my opinion. When you own the basic version, it intrinsically lacks miscellany, however, you receive one book summary every day, free of charge, and I believe that is worth keeping forever. I would recommend setting aside time to take notes of the essence of these summarized books daily and have them available to read. However the pro version, while it has a lot, is quite expensive.
Good App 5/5

5 minutes to read a book! 5/5
I have been reading Blinkist for a while now (190 books). This is my favorite app for keeping me up to date on the latest books!
I love this app 4/5
By sarah make poop
I first did not like this app that I would only have one free Blinkist thingy a day but I soon realized that I would only be reading one throughout the day and they are not boring but intriguing
Tries to get you to buy a paid version immediately. Spam.
Shouldn’t have to sign up to realize you need to pay $90/year to use this app. Everything is locked unless you signup for the 7 day trial. Also..$90?? Who’s paying for this stuff??
$90 a year is too much 😢 2/5
Decent app design (though making alternate prices and options hard to find is kinda slimy... for shame designer, for shame). But, the cost is way too high for some book summaries. The NYT, original content, is $52 a year. There’s your baseline. For a service like yours, I’d consider 24.99 a year. But, $90... no 😅
So many books beat around the bush to make the point impactful, but it’s not necessary a lot of times.
Unfortunately one star 1/5
I was initially excited about Blinkist. Unfortunately, the experience soured My Account was accidentally deleted. My premier account. After many calls and emails to them, I was hopeful they would reactivate. I even screenshot my app receipt for them. Then all communication stopped. They went dark on me.
My interest peaked at the AppStore feature page. 1/5
99% of these notes are locked.
Sure they offer a 7 free day trial behind the 1 year subscription, but I sure am not even going to press that button until I even know I’m interested in paying or not.
Reading one free featured story about nutrition isn't going to help me figure out if I am going to find value here.
I would suggest an alternative way to help people gain interest. Give them 1 free reads per day of their choice.
The app doesn’t work for me 1/5
I’m using Facebook login, and i can’t open the app
Requires expensive subscription 1/5
Apple should put an identifier on each app that requires a subscription before you use it, so users do not waste their time.
. ??? 1/5
Submit email, log in, no free sample-must subscribe for membership. Hard to sample product.
Requires an account 1/5
It’s unnecessary to build iOS apps that require third part accounts targeted toward individuals.
Awesome Sauce 5/5
For somebody that loves to read but may not have the time to go through 100+ pages, this app is a wonderful way to expand your mind and keep doing it in 20-30min segments (still nice to read whole books but ya know)
Way overpriced 1/5
$90/year? No. Should be a one time purchase and not a subscription anyway, but the subscription price is insane.
Subscription app $90 per year 1/5
By this is not a a real name
Great idea - loved it for 5 minutes. Then I had to choose a 7-day trial to get my first title synopsis before paying ~$90 annual fee.
